got enough HSS uploads now to make the videos tab look really nice and filled. now i understand how gaming youtbers can turn out so much video content. video games can just... take a long time to play. especially ones that are literally just about reading text.

Corruption!

For the past week, students all over campus have been arguing over weather the Warren Grant should be spent on Academics or Sports. But why wasn't this our Student Government's decision?

And why are we so short on cash in the first place? Why, only months ago, did our school build expensive fountains, lion statues, and a fireworks display? Katherine, the track star who joined soon after these ridiculous displays, is also on this committee despite only just starting school here. It makes no sense, until you notice this mild-mannered girl following Mia around like a lost puppy.

As you all know, my father is making a donation to our school. The rules of the Warren Grant state that a student committee must submit a budget proposal. So I asked my father to let me choose the committee, and I obviously chose you guys. We get to decide what to do with the money!

Watch out. It always comes back to the Warrens.

S&N: We all get to decide who's idea it was to gender bend the costume. While you might want to say Sakura at first, part of me KNOWS that Nishan would die to dress as Prince(ss) Leia

J&A: No matter how much he denies having wanted to dress up, we all know it was Julian's idea. Any excuse for them to be adorable (and for him to show mountains of affection to his girlfriend)

M&K: They're dressed up as the original lesbians. Pretty sure Katherine already had all of the elements to her part of the costume in her closet.

C&W: That's just his normal red hoodie. I feel like of all of the sitcom love interests in the world, Wes would have a special appreciation for Nick Miller. Both of them have learned to take care of themselves first and slowly learn to come out of their loner mindset.

I just realised something, so I made a one off factoid of Valerie having a crush on Mia. Funny enough, Valerie canonically has had a crush and even dated Max while my play through AND before that dated Chase Cunningham. I'm seeing a common theme for Valerie's type with hot-headed blonde and blonds who are rich and later on show their true caring selves...

‘Another major missed opportunity in HSS:CA: Katherine from the Prime game was canonically a playwright. She never returned for Choices HSS besides being mentioned as Mia's ex girlfriend. The reasoning for this could have been that she was in the background as part of the theatre crew. Then by the time we got to HSS:CA, they could have had her as part of the main theatre group. And honestly? I'd actually be a lot more forgiving of HSS:CA's poor utilization of the OG HSS characters if they brought Katherine into the theatre gang. Cause at least then there'd be some degree of meaningful connection to the previous source material.’

Honestly though? I don't even have her enrolled yet in my HSS Prime playthrough. My entire fixations with her revolve around rewriting HSS:CA partly to make her part of the theatre club, considering she is a playwright after all. And a possible endgame option consisting of a throuple between her and Mia and Sydney.

Of course once I actually continue my Prime playthrough and actually get to know her as a character, integrating her into HSS:CA will be easier.

Recently finished the Young Leaders Conference quest. I guess it’s cool Lacey showed a bit of decency towards Katherine after relentlessly bullying her but I think this route would’ve been funnier.

minecraft hcs - hss prime

rhys: tends to prefer watching other people play, either in real life or youtube. when they play it’s fairly basic, make a base, farm, mine, make a villager breeding prison and repeatedly kill and revive them in order to get the best enchantments possible, collect loot, raid structures, kill the enderdragon. yknow. basics.

autumn: mostly plays in creative mode, focuses on building and landscaping. takes pictures of her builds with 8000 shaders and posts them on reddit. will cry if you grief her build, even if it’s a dirt hut. downloads way too many building mods and texture packs, someone save her storage disk.

julian: makes fun of his friends for playing on easy mode or with keep inventory on, precedes to die in lava and rage quit. joins his sister’s minecraft world just to rearrange her sorting system and dye her sheep brown & grey.

payton: doesn’t quite understand how to play and is scared of most mobs so she plays on peaceful mode with daylight cycle turned off. still somehow manages to die. collects random items and gets overly attached to them (her inventory and chests are a mess), enjoys decorating her house and builds an endless amount of farms so she can have every animal.

wes: usually only plays with other people or on servers because he likes to mess with everyone. yes, this has resulted in several witch hunts. somehow manages to both make an in-game economy and break it in every server he joins. gets absolutely stacked within the first few days of playing, but will still die to a skeleton.

mia: switches her skin every session. pretends to not be interested but actually really likes (and is really good at) playing mini games like sky wars, the hunger games, and parkour maps. maybe not the best at building but great at instructing others on what to do, and placing certain people in charge of jobs. managed to figure out the triangulation method to find the stronghold on her own, thought everybody knew how to do it.

nishan: typically plays on hard mode, likes to challenge himself with speedruns. has absolutely been called out for using a bot to cheat before. likes to tinker with redstone aka make absolute behemoth monstrosities that are technically functional. he uploads tutorials on his youtube channel.

sakura: hardcore mode ONLY. definitely has a long running hardcore mode where she’s maxed out basically everything and has drained several ocean monuments. extremely efficient systems for everything like sorting, transportation, farming, looting, etc etc etc. calls people noobs unironically for playing anything less than hardcore. her winstreak on bedwars is in the quadruple digits..

ezra: follows other players around and becomes friends so they’ll give him stuff and doesn’t have to go mining himself. finds out music discs exist and immediately wants to collect all of them, is surprisingly dedicated to that goal even though he hates going to the nether or deep dark. gets genuinely frustrated if someone kills him as a prank. fascinated by note blocks and learns redstone just to use them better.

do you anything planned for adult ryanne, post-hss?

On the one hand, yes, I do! I can see her future pretty easily, her relationships and her career and all of that. I was actually thinking about making a ref about her post graduation once I get over this pneumonia and finish my secret santa thing lol

But on the other hand, and I think I mentioned this before in a shit post, it's... Weird to think about Ryanne after high school. Because I think high school is where she... Not peaked, but shined. I think she really had to adjust after graduation to being more isolated. Ryanne is one of my OC's where I just want her to be happiest and for the most part that's here. At least consistency wise.

So, according to choices, autumn goes to Juanita College in PA, Julian's going to Ohio State (boooooo), Ezra's going to Texas University, Koh's going to community college (I envision hss taking place in California), Wes is going to Cedar State (I have literally never heard of this place and the only one I could find is in PA), Nishan and Sakura are going to Rutherford University (nishan says it's on the west Coast but the only university I could find is in NC? Idk), Max is going to University of Michigan (🥳), and Kara is going to Hollywood U. Payton takes a year off to go backpacking before she goes to American University in DC. (No mention of mia or katherine, though. For MY LORE, Mia goes to Michigan State and Katherine goes to julliard)

Now, what about Ryanne?

Ryanne becomes a teacher. She adores her school and wants to be a part of that environment for years to come. I picture her getting a master's degree in English with a minor in communications. Where from? I'm not sure! I think UMich would be fun, Max can never escape her, plus it's one of the top teaching schools.

The sheer scale of UMich is a big adjustment for her. She's used to knowing everybody and being a big figure in the community and this is a place where she's nobody. I envision this being a period of personal growth for her. She learns to set boundaries and focus on herself here or else her course load overwhelms her. She still sees Julian, Autumn, and Wes fairly often, as well as Max and Mia, but her contact with them fizzles out during the school year. She still texts everyone fairly often, but it's passing acknowledgement and a "hey we're still friends by the way!" Thrown in.

Once she graduates, I'm thinking around 24, she moves back to California. Her and Wes were still dating through college, those two are 4 lifers, and they move in together when they're around 26 and both have more financial stability.

Ryanne and Wes definitely get married! I also picture them having kids but waiting a while, until they're in their late 20's/early 30's. I think they have 3 kids, two girls and one boy, though I don't know what their names are yet. Much to ponder.

I like to think that once a year or so the friend group comes back together for a weekend get away or something. These kids were all so important to each other that I don't accept them drifting apart, plus I think Ryanne would hold them together through sheer spite >:)
