It would be very lovely to see Luther and Kara bond over something that isn't their affection for Alice. Sure, that's how their relationship started, but I'd like to see more than just that, Kara is very important to Luther and there should be more that ties them together

Luther probably struggles with social interactions a lot, given that his memory was erased by Zlatko and that his model doesn't have an elaborate social program, so I like to imagine that Kara helps him talk to others and form connections of his own given how incredibly empathetic she is

And because of his erased memory, it'd be nice for them to go on little trips together to make new memories he can look back on with a smile on his face

Additionally, moving in together after staying at Rose's brother's place could be a great opportunity for them to learn about what they'd like to do with their lives in the future

This works really well both as a platonic dynamic or as a romance setup since Luther clearly sees Alice and Kara as family, so it wouldn't surprise me if he and Kara ended up as a couple

Though it's very likely that Luther would be confused about this feeling at first since it's very different to the affection he feels for Alice and that he wouldn't be sure about how to deal with it, while Kara seems like someone who would be very upfront about her feelings

It'd be great to have them explore new things together, help each other and grow with each other, I'd love to see them grow fond of each other without having to be scared that they'll be separated or that something might happen to Alice

1. Markus demanding a state, hands down. What the fuck? I hate it.

2. "Maybe you really are alive". Nothing would be wrong with this take if it wasn't right after shooting an android – this context gives this take a sour rotten taste. Also Hank's revelation about the true causer of his son's death. That's right, I think it's a bad take. It may be a step further from blaming androids but still a way to go.

3. Markus claiming some betrayal on North's part after being so disastrously incompetent he got rightfully outvoted.

4. Whatever is coming out of Carl's mouth because there's this "let's pretend this is deep" tone narrative tries to set around him while Carl says something embarrassingly surface level (+ Hank's "emotions always screw everything up" but not because I think it's a particularly bad take, but because he sounds too much like Carl in this moment)

5. "Forgetting who you are to become what someone needs you to be...maybe that's what it means to be alive" I think I could have liked it in other context, but the way it is, it just looks like verbal justification of throwing Kara's whole story away for the sake of Alice and leaving absolutely no place just for Kara herself.

Dbh October event: Ghost in the machine, Day 3: Autopilot.

This is the third drabble for @connor-sent-by-cyberlife's event (on twitter).

When things got too much and Kara was alone, she'd retreat into her mind, letting her body act on autopilot; it knew how to do the work.

She fled her crushing emotions as often as she could.

The trauma of her deviation; the fear for Alice and the fear of Todd.

The trauma of almost being resetted by Zlatko.

The trauma of the raid on Jericho and being captured.

The trauma of almost dying in the camp.

All of this happened because of bad choices she had made.

So whenever she could, she let her program make the decisions again.

Each of the protagonists start off in their canon roles, but things go a little differently.

Connor shows much more deviancy, and fails his mission during the Hostage. The RK900 isn't ready yet, so he's scrapped and replaced by Markus. Connor gets memory wiped and repurposed for AX400 duties, taking over Kara's storyline. Alice is human, because fuck you david cage. He still has his top of the line preconstruction and combat software, taking down zlatko and fighting his way through jericho in crossroads.

Kara gets beat up by Todd as usual, who then decides she isn't worth the repair money. Kara reboots in the junkyard. She then pretty much follows Markus's plot, choosing the pacifist route. She also liberates the androids at Zlatko's, recruiting them. North is asexual/not interested in romance rn, because fuck you david cage.

Markus as the deviant hunter is a little too lifelike for a machine, but also acutely aware of what happened to his predecessor. He and Hank get along much quicker than Connor and Hank do. He goes through Connor's missions, being peaceful at every turn. He deviates, (is anyone surprised) finding Jericho and joining the protest.

post the dbh doc I'm personally invested bc I feel very similar to you about that shitshow of a game but it could have been so good. do you ever think about Kara. I think about Kara SO MUCH

I THINK ABOUT KARA A LOT!! she's the only android we see personally who becomes deviant out of LOVE, not out of fear for her own safety or an inherent feeling of being different or a sense of duty or any of the other pragmatic reasons androids may deviate. she breaks her code out of love for alice, before she even knows what love feels like!

the biggest difference i would make in kara's story is that she would know alice is an android from the start, and they would BOTH become deviant (because as it stands, we don't even know if alice ever deviated??). in the past, i wanted alice to just be human, but i've given it a lot of thought and i actually think her story could've been fascinating if it was handled well instead of being shoved in for the ~ plot twist ~ of it all. todd had a human daughter and wife, who presumably took their daughter and ran when he started becoming violent, using & selling drugs, losing his job, etc. in response, todd buys a replacement daughter and, effectively, a housewife in kara. both are androids meant to make him feel better about himself. kara can never leave him, nor can she expect anything from him. alice can never talk back to him, misbehave, or grow up and leave him behind. and if he harms either of them, he cannot be punished because these things are his legal property. alice doesn't go to school or have friends, and she knows she is fundamentally different to other girls, but she may not even know why (if she's never met another human child, or android child for that matter, how could she know?). she's completely isolated and programmed to be the perfect daughter, only her father doesn't even fucking want her. i can only imagine how confusing it would be to follow her instructions when todd punishes her for every typical child behavior she displays.

anyway, i think kara's story should begin BEFORE todd breaks her for the first time. we should see that her deep bond with alice has already been established. when todd does break kara, that's when alice becomes deviant. deviant alice, with absolutely no knowledge of the outside world, would not try to run away on her own. she would be TERRIFIED. she would beg todd to fix kara, and as we've seen, he would eventually agree. this is when we could use the same game mechanics as we saw in zlatko's mansion if the memory wipe is successful (i would completely remove zlatko's useless ass storyline from the game lmao) where kara would return home with no memory of her bond with alice, so she would have to piece it together with the help of a now-deviant alice. the events could continue as normal from there, with kara becoming deviant in order to save alice from todd's abuse and the two of them going on the run

Tell me about that astolfo of yours

VINE BOOM. i didnt expect anyone to be interested in him haha okay uhhh lets see. fair warning, his story is very,,,, wobbly and uncertain at the moment. so some of this is vague or subject to change!!

now, first of all, this is astolfo:

yes i had to include the meme. this is my single favorite image of him

now, when his story begins, he's already a... kind-of-deviant. something in-between coming off the factory line and breaking the red wall. he can feel things, weakly, but he can't directly defy orders. however, he can do things that he isn't necessarily told to do; this is how he finds himself sometimes sneaking away on his own when he's meant to be in stasis, how he finds himself collecting knickknacks from people's trash that he finds interesting. nevertheless, he simply continues to do his job, because he doesn't feel like he should be doing anything else. yet.

then, he meets someone, a deviant. a runaway, who ended up hiding out in what was essentially astolfo's little secret hangout near the building he's kept in while in stasis. it's basically like a small-ish grey shed with a window, near the garbage dump. he's a little perturbed at first, but the two find themselves drawn to eachother, quickly becoming friends.

eventually though, his friend tells him that they have to leave soon; they've already stayed here too long. they have somewhere they need to go, someone to find that can help them. and they want to bring astolfo with them, but astolfo... he doesn't really want to leave. he's never wanted anything more than what he has right now. he doesn't think the risk is worth it. and above all... he's scared. scared of leaving all that he has now, his safety, his routine, to search for an ideal life he'll probably never find. but he doesn't know that's what he's feeling. he refuses their offer; his friend is disappointed, which makes something inside him churn uncomfortably, but they don't try to force him. they prepare to resume their journey alone, but before they leave, they interface with him, leaving him with a small file. "just in case," they say. it contains a location, marked far from the main city, and a single name: zlatko. then they're gone, leaving him as just he was before this all started. alone

it takes maybe a week for astolfo to finally realize, just a bit too late, how much worse his life is without them in it. he realizes that he does want more than this; he's no longer content with his programmed monotony. he wants to experience something new, he wants his only friend back, he wants... to be alive. so he deviates. breaks down his red walls and runs away, in the hopes he can somehow find his friend again, his only reason for getting this far. and his only lead is the location they shared before they left.

when he arrives at zlatko's, he mentions that he's looking for someone he knows. after being stared down menacingly, he's soon welcomed inside, and told that his friend had been here– but they've already been sent off, much to astolfo's dismay. when zlatko offers to help astolfo out too and send him in the same direction, he finds no reason to refuse. and everything seem to be going well until he's led into the basement. i think everyone knows how this goes.

having fallen for his tricks just like kara and unable to break free, zlatko gives him his horrible truth; that his friend never made it out of here alive. no, in fact, they're currently splayed out on his lab table, broken into pieces. astolfo finds himself feeling a new kind of pain. and he screams, the agony piercing him like a knife.

he doesn't notice when his time runs out. his memory is "erased", his systems jailbroken, and he's given one additional objective to follow: to spread the location of zlatko's base, so that he'll have a constant supply flow of androids coming right to him. it's buried deep in his coding, set up so that nobody can find it, not even the android himself. astolfo is sent back to the standby pod he returns to each night, and in the morning... he returns to his programmed routine. he's not able to break through again; the only person that could've possibly triggered him to do so was lying dead and torn apart in zlatko's house. not that astolfo could remember that. all he's left with is this nagging feeling that something is wrong.

this is about as far as i've gotten for the most part. i imagine that for a few years, he does the exact thing you see him do in the game; he completes his primary tasks, if he ever encounters another deviant, he sends them to zlako, without really knowing why. it's only when the revolution happens that something would finally change, but i'll have to think about exactly how that goes down. so this is all i've got for now :] hope you enjoyed my boy!! he is very beloved 2 me

(side note, i developed astolfo side by side with @aye-toast who has their own background character ocs, specifically two zlatko androids: the one in the bathtub, named walton, and one of the ones down in the basement, name louie. we had a lot of fun with em <333)

Does anyone ever thought of making Luther human ? No , just me ? (Welp I’m gonna explain my reasons might be messy but bare with me.)

Because it would have been quite a different approach of human and android relationship.

I like to think that Luther if he was human would be Adam’s older brother. And that rose his mother that he may haven’t seen due to either a fight with him and his parent and couldn’t come back even after the father’s death.

I also thought that he worked with zlatko back then. because he would have a roof over his head and didn’t mind handling the rogue androids, but suddenly changed his mind because of Alice. And after the chase Kara had with zlatko would end up wounded in some way. And Luther would as quickly as he can bring her to rose but the car broke down and sadly had to leave to seek for a shelter. Shelter in pirates cove, Luther attempts to fix Kara’s injury but miss some componants so he ask her to lie down or power down but she quickly refused to she needs to take care of Alice.

Alice will beg Kara to rest . And she would do it reluctantly but then woke up later with no sign of Luther or Alice. Will go looking for then in a panic and find them at carousel and see the first time Alice smiling .

There I’ll stop for now before I turn this in a fan fiction . But I know gameplay wise it wouldn’t be possible. (I guess) I might write more when Luther arrives at rose all I know is that it’s awkward and Kara would be lying on the couch as the laundry room is occupied.

Opinion about the game Detroit: Become Human

I can't believe the plot. They didn't explain to us what "deviation" or "deviant" is. Apparently, when Androids act of their own free will, they become deviants, but this doesn't mean that they should've human feelings, dreams and desires. According to this logic, it turns out that Connor is a deviant, since he plays with a coin, thereby showing will. Otherwise, why would an Android prescribe this action in the code?

Why did Simon give Connor the coordinates of Jericho in the archive? As if Marcus had forgotten about it himself?

Kara's storyline turns into Syberia 3 at some point.

Alice is also an Android — bullshit. It seems to me that it'd be easier for a living girl who is destined to be with Androids to sympathize. This partially devalues Kara's work. In the ending with Alice's death, again, it'd have been more dramatic if she'd been a human child who died for a dream. But since she is an Android, she didn't arouse strong emotions in me.

Okay, this eases a lot of problems with the law (due to child abduction), but what's the point of Android kids? The fun of children is that they grow up. People themselves don't understand how children think, what to say about Androids? Let's make more old Androids and disabled Androids. By the way, even on TV, it seems, there was an announcement about the missing Android and a GIRL. Alice also showed signs of illness. Then what is it?

We didn't see android children on the streets of Detroit at all. Are these such rare models? How does a bum like Todd have money for Alice and TWO Karas?!

Alice didn't know she was an Android. Was it possible?! Why did people have problems if they could just make Androids that don't know they're Androids? How was Alice bought? Turned off? Why doesn't she have a LED on her temple?

I thought until the last moment that Alice would die like Patricia Holman from "Three Comrades" with pneumonia. Alice lived out her days trying to find happiness.

For some reason, Kara doesn't know about the location tracker inside herself and believed Zlatko, although how does an Android have confidence? Even if you just think logically, why are the cops and Connor looking for Androids if they have a tracker inside them that fits this case? I think Kara should have analyzed all this by turning her head gears.

How did Marcus's hole become overgrown with skin after pulling out the LED? And why doesn't Alice have a LED? She was definitely not made to order, because in Jericho we saw exactly the same girl, but with a LED.

Marcus's storyline is nonsense. Why do they care about their slavery? What don't they like? I understand if they demanded a human attitude towards themselves, but not equality, because Androids don't get tired, don't get sick, don't die, fix themselves... Also, I don't think they consist of rapidly decomposing materials. If Androids get the same rights as humans, then the planet will come to an end. A lot of Androids will be produced, everyone must be provided with housing, and since they don't die, there will be no real estate move.

I don't understand why Marcus is imposing his worldview on other Androids. In fact, by freeing them from slavery, he enslaves them to himself. Towards the end of the game, all Androids are built into a huge systematic column. You can't put people like that. They really look like a herd.

Why can one Android talk to another through touch? What is the meaning of this function for people? Moreover, later we see that Kara and Luther are quietly communicating remotely. Like, in this case, you don't need to write dialogues? It's possible that this very deviation manifested itself in different ways for everyone, but we're never told exactly what it was.

How does Marcus know how to kill people if he's not a fighting Android? Do they have something like an Internet connection? Then, with its help, it'd be possible to spread your worldview many times faster.

Blunder: Marcus, having cut out the first glass in the TV tower, threw the cutter into the bag. After climbing to the top of the TV tower through the windows, he takes a cutter out of his pocket.

Where do Marcus and the team get new clothes from?

Marcus, after killing Leo (or Carl), decided to kill even more.

Is Marcus a robojesus? How did he "free" people with his eyes at the demonstration?

Blunder: When Connor found Marcus in Jericho, when choosing to "Convince", he would shoot Marcus under his feet. Has anyone heard the sound of a gunshot in a building crowded with Androids?

It's strange that the main characters can beat the special forces on their helmets and thus knock them out. I understand that having helmets solves problems with drawing new faces, but it's superfluous in gameplay.

Blunder: Hank didn't say anything about the window Connor broke.

I've seen a lot of ships on Tumblr of Connor with Marcus, Connor with North, Connor with Hank and more... And I understand that I can't ship with anyone at all, because I don't understand what Androids are, which is why I can't get into the characters.

I thought the theme of the game would be that Androids would show humanity more than humans. It showed well at the beginning of Kara's storyline, but I didn't think they would really become them.

Every Android has found happiness in their understanding. Marcus found happiness in giving freedom to others. Connor found happiness when he found himself. Kara found herself taking care of the girl, and her freedom was Canada.

I think the lore is poorly thought out. The game started well, but then she just started asking a bunch of questions that aren't easy to answer, too much food for thought. There's also no balance of responsibility in the game. She mercilessly forces you to make one choice after another, forcing you to bear responsibility for the consequences. Sometimes the game seems to punish you for showing humanity, even though it asks you to do so. It's very tiring.

Perhaps the game could use a separation of scenarios. Since the game touches on many topics and asks many questions about them, it is very difficult to understand everything in the porridge of scenarios.

I'm not saying the game is bad. No. There was a lot of good in it. I understand that this is a work of art and that everything in it could have happened the way it happened. What is the task of the artwork? Ask questions. The game copes with this task perfectly. Moreover, the questions are ambiguous. However, transferring the plot to reality, it is difficult for me to ignore the points described above.

Detroit: Become Human x Naruto

(If you have not played nor seen DBH, basically it's a free play narrative story game of a future world where androids want to be seen as humans and are fighting for those rights and you play as three characters and each character have their own story that cross with each other. Very fun game, makes me cry all the time, I love the every living shit of that game, play it.

ok so maybe Kakashi would be better for Connor instead of Kara but bear with me here.

The Sanabi is Amanda and Rin is subsequently trapped by the Sanabi to stay on course with her mission (which also why she killed herself (and also Connor can kill himself just like Rin :D(if you know you know))). What I'm getting at is that a lot of details do match with Rin and Connor that I find very interesting, and also I want to build Rin's character on Connor because Connor is such a dork but he is also an infant that can do a back flip twist kick. The fight scenes go crazy let me tell you. My girl Rin can do that too, I swear she can. But she also can fail, like, big time fail.

Obito needs no explanation, he's like Markus, he can be a disaster, a failure, a pyromaniac, or a peaceful rebel leader, a lover, a son/grandson who loves his parental figure very much and would do anything for them but can also accidentally kill them too. Or just a guy with a big dream, a too big of a dream. Also, Carl is his grandma if you can't guess. (And also I know how to give him his scars if he were Markus)

And Kakashi, Kakashi is going to have either have all of team 7 or just Naruto as his 'Alice'. That is going to hurt a lot, especially if I make Todd as Minato or that Kara/Kakashi has their memories erased before escaping Todd. And Zlatko, fucken Zlatko. Fuck Zlatko. OH, Tenzo can be Luther and Danzo can be Zlatko! WAIT THIS IS GETTING BETTER-WAIT!!!!

Ok I'm going to set the stage for the story, but I'm going to make it my own story, so a little stir up in the pot of the original plot might do some good.

So the idea:

It started as the world witnessed the new RK800 android, a rumored project made by CyberLife that was never shown the light of day, finally being revealed in a hostage situation with a deviant and a kidnapped child.

She - It - walked forward with her chestnut hair blowing onto her face, blocking her equally light brown eyes and youthful face from most on camera. How did they know she was youthful?

From her voice of course.

"Anko," something soft and calm and very much human sounded out her lips. "It's ok. I won't let them hurt you or Mitsuki. I promise you, it's going to be alright."

She smiled. (A practiced smile, so very plastic.)

And the cameras shut off. (And the sound was off.)

Just before a gunshot was heard. (And blue blood splattered everywhere.)

"Good morning Suzume!" A bright and boyish voice was the first thing that echoed in Suzume's room as sunlight started to sweep in.

"Good morning Obito," she signed in a tired sort of manner as she rubbed her eyes.

"It's 10 a.m.," Suzume heard as she made herself comfortable on her bed, half wanting to sleep again. "The weather is partly cloudy: 54 degrees, 80% humidity, and a strong possibility of afternoon showers. " Suzume sighed.

"It sounds like a good day to stay in bed," She hummed.

"I did go to pick up the paint that you ordered," was the response she was given. A flicker of surprise arose once she understood the words that were spoken.

"Oh yes, I'd forgotten," Suzume turned to the man walking her way. "That is the difference between you and me, right Obito? You never forget anything."

"Show me your arm please, Suzume," Obito interjected as the young boyish voice turned slightly serious, dark eyes looking her way.

"No!"

Disappointment filtered through those eyes. "Suzume..."

Ah darn.

With reluctance, the old woman did as she was told which earned a smile from her caretaker. "Thank you," Obito said to his mother charge.

"Thank you and we're good." The clerk manager checked on a documented file.

"Can I go pick it up?" The customer, a man with blond hair and dark eye bags, asked the manager.

"Yeah," the manager nodded. "Right there," he gestured towards the back. The back that which contains a white haired android that was idly looking around the store and its inhabitants. When the pair came closer the android looked in their direction.

Not a silver of recognition filtered in those eyes.

Minato's chest clenched.

"There it is." The manager smiled. "It was a bit difficult getting it back in working order. It was really messed up..." his word drifted off. "What did you say happened to it again?"

"My car hit it," Minato muttered, remorse in his eyes. "I didn't see him until it was too late."

"Oh. I see." The manager nodded in an 'oh what would you do' manner. "Anyway, it's as good as new now... Except that, we had to reset it. Meaning we had to wipe its memory. Hope you don't mind."

Minato's eyes darkened even further. "That'll be fine."

"Ok. Did you give it a name."

"Yeah..."

With a nod, the manger moved in front of the still-staring android and announced to it. "AX400, register your name."

Minato, noticing it was his turn, walked in front of the android and said with a tone of voice that could only be called fatherly said one word. "Kakashi."

Like magic, the eyes of the android gained life, its dark gray eyes blinked a couple times before its eyes curved into a smile. It lips shaping into the perfect picture of kind.

(And yet, still no recognition.)

"My name is Kakashi."

Kakashi/Kara

Kakashi (future Hatake) [Kara] - Kakashi is an old model android that has stopped being massively produced due to a better new model being made. His model is actually one of the first made and was cheap enough for a younger Minato to buy and make self-fix-its on him. He was a child model before replacing his code with a newer adult model once Minto was "divorced" from his wife. He was Minto's child playmate and then the housekeeper transitioned to becoming Naruto's child caregiver.

Naruto Uzumaki [Alice] - Naruto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ and is being now cared for by his father and android caregiver Kakashi.

Minato Nakage [Todd] - Minato is a rising star in the police task force as a lutinet and made a name for himself once he took down the red ice drug operation when he was 19. He met and married his wife, Kusana Uzumaki, in college and loved her dearly. They both worked at the same police station and were a well-made duo in their early years. Now, however, they have quietly separated after an accident that affected their family, forcing Minato to quit his job and live alone with Naruto and Kakashi.

Danzo Saruto [Zlatko] - No data is found of this man after his high school graduation, notably is found with no record after the death of one of his friends, Kagami Uchiha, the adopted son and apprentice of his head research professor, Tobirama Senju. Undocumented, he is a black market trafficker who is very well known and powerful in the black market trade with anyone getting in his way vanishing after a few days. No sightings of him were seen in the public eye.

Tenzo (nee Senju) [Luther] - Off-recorded, Tenzo is a kidnapped child from birth when in hospital's custody. His whole life was spent being sold and traded with other customers in the black market. His mental state is believed to be similar to that of an android, used and quiet, meant to serve when needed with no emotions and no rebellion against his current caretakers. His most notable ones are Orochimaru and Danzo, his current caretaker.

Tsunade Senju [Rose] - Tsunade was a proud medical student who took after her family in studing in the medical feild. She was renowed for her ingeniuse use of medical proceduers that helped to save many paticenes in her care. However, she disappiered after she lost a child under her leader ship (Tenzo) and was the last straw that broke her mental state after the lost of many of her family members in recent years. She is currently in custody of Shizune, her fiances neice, and lives in suclusion in the country side. (acts like Adam)

Shizune (nee Senju) [Adam] - Shizune is the neice of her uncle Dan and grew up with him as her garuidane after her parents passed. She looked up to Dan's fiances, Tsunade, and sees her as a older sister/motherly figure in her life. After her uncles death she was placed under Tsunade's care and tried to help her aunt's mental state. She is currently degreeing in mental health in hopes of (acts like Rose)

Obito/Markus

Obito (future Uchiha) [Markus] - Obito was a specialty model crafted by Tobirama Senju and gifted to Suzume. His model is one of his kind and cant be exactly replicated by anyone, even Cyber Life. He was tasked to care for Suzume and protect her from any harm. No one knows of his unique model except for Tobirama and Suzume. (Privately he had deviated a long time ago.)

Suzume Uchiha [Carl]—Suzume is an old artist who believes that she has passed her glory days but still paints when she finds inspiration. She cares for Obito like her grandson (a grandson she lost) and sees him as one of her own even if he is not made of flesh and bone. Knowing of her old age, she lets herself experience life as it should be and wish to live in peace. She is a cousin of the main Uchiha family line.

Itachi (future possible Uchiha) [Josh] - Itachi is a housekeeper model designed to help with house chores and home security. He was bought at the same time as Sasuke, a child line android that Itachi looks out for. It wasn't until the father of the family tried to destroy Sasuke that he deviated and escaped with Sasuke, but not without consequence. His blood pump mechanic was damaged and is slowly breaking as days go by, slowly killing Itachi. They both sought refuge in Jerico.

Shisui (future possible Uchiha) [Simon] - Shisui has no memory of his previous life or his owners. He woke up in the android graveyard intact and clean from grime. He stayed in the android graveyard for years, helping those who could be saved and finding missing parts for them. Once the number of people he saved increased, he left to find a place to house all his fellow deviants and is the now the founder of Jerico.

Sasuke (future possible Uchiha) [North] - Sasuske is a child model android that was bought alongside his now brother Itachi. He was bought to be a playmate of the child of the family that bought him. He was a perfect playmate but was often protecting the child from the father's rage many times. The father had anger issues that led to him becoming violent with his child when the mother was away, whom Sasuke protected. It wasn't until Sasuke was about to be destroyed that he deviated in fear for his life and escaped with Itachi from the home. Sasuke both loves and hates Itachi for this as he left his best friend behind in a home where a vengeful father lives.

Rin/Connor

Rin (last name varies) [Connor]—Rin is the new and approved Deviant Hunter, created to work harmoniously with humans and androids alike. Her functions are to capture, integrate, and cease the arrest of criminals of all kinds, even deviants.

Kushina Uzumaki (nee Nakaze) [Hank] - Kushina is a cousin to Tsunade Senju and is related to the Senju line. She is a foster child under the Senju family before moving for college to be more independent. There is where she met her future husband and best friend Minato. She pursued a degree in criminal investigation and graduated with her husband to work in the same department. However, after an incident, she left her husband and continued to work diligently (almost to death) in her work to purge criminals in Detroit.

Extras:

Tobirama Senju - Is the creator of ai androids and was the former CEO of Cyber Life. He is a genius who graduated early in college and made a name for himself as the founder of the new era with his creations. He is a brother of four and adopted a son named Kagami. He used to teach as a research professor in his old college and apprentice a selection of students he hand-picked. However, after a major accident and the death of his son, he left the company and his job to live secluded away from the city.

Hashirama Uchiha - Hashirama is a world-famous medical surgent who was the first to find the cure for cancer its origins. He is hailed as a god in the medical field. His best friend and brothers were the reason for his success because --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. Sadly he died before he could.

Thinking about how Zlatko only let Kara in because he saw Alice and THEN he changed his mind and instantly pretended to be welcoming. In the moment his reaction could have been interpreted as understanding pity, but in a retrospective he probably was more like "Oh, YK200! I haven't got that one in my collection, and it came to me itself"

ALSO

The fact that Kara got his address from a random android that was a working one, probably suggests that there are other androids that are NON deviants, but are instructed to spread his location to deviants as a safe space. The whole indoctrination system in place. Makes me wonder if those androids (I assume there are more than one) even aware of what they're spreading, but it depends on how were they influenced/hacked on the first place.

detroit: become human [ep 3] 🤖💛

hello besties and welcome back to detroit: become human!! i promise today's episode is jam-packed!!! we are going to be continuing with connor's and hank's investigation on devients where we visit an apartment full of pigeons and visit the eden club. meanwhile, markus meets his new friends at jericho where he suggests to go on a supply run to a cyberlife warehouse to steal some biocomponets for the other androids. we will also catch up with kara and alice when they arrive at zlatko's house to finally get some help however, have they led themselves into a trap??

!!! Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain spoilers ahead !!!

Overall, I really enjoyed both games and played through them multiple times

But something I take issue with is the twist in Kara's story (DBH): I think it would've been more beneficial to actually have Alice be Todd's daughter than "just an android replacement for his daughter", so to say.

The reason why I think that is because the more often I play the game, the more I realize that Alice being a human child was the entire driving force of Kara's story: She had to provide her with a comfortable place to stay, food, clothes, heat, sleep. Except that all of that was completely unnecessary; Alice being an android and Kara pretending that she isn't is tragic, but it also creates a vast amount of plot holes (e.g. Zlatko not resetting Alice, especially given how experienced he is when it comes to androids and how much he seems to know about them)

The twist also serves the purpose of Kara and Alice staying together in "Battle for Detroit" when they are captured during the "Crossroads" chapter.

Additionally, the focus of Kara's story is never on Kara, but always on Alice. Kara is, in this sense, a character the player can insert themselves into, but doesn't have a lot of depth unfortunately.

Throughout the game, the player learns a lot about Alice: She likes to read books, she enjoys drawing, she wants to dance, she is deeply traumatized, she has a strong sense of justice (e.g. being upset about Kara stealing money/clothes, keeping the tickets at the bus terminal, etc.), she wants to be part of a loving family, she likes theme parks and carousels, she is ready to protect Kara as well (if you got the gun in "Stormy Night" and fail all QTE's, Alice shoots Todd), she enjoys playing with her plushie, and so on and so forth.

But we learn barely anything about what Kara wants aside from protecting and being there for Alice. All we know is, by the end of the game, that she lies to herself to perform the function she was designed to do: Taking care of children.

I think I would've liked it better if Alice had been human all along. It would've added an even sadder touch to the story that remains throughout the second playthrough when you already know how the story could end.

Additionally, it would've been interesting to see that the subtle hints that point towards Alice being an android before the reveal (e.g. her not eating or drinking anything for multiple days) could've been a way of making the player think she's an android even though her intention is not to inconvenience Kara with her needs.

Misguiding the player like this was something I really enjoyed about Heavy Rain. As the story progressed, I was more and more convinced that Ethan had some sort of second personality that was challenging him, and that he himself was the Origami Killer. It was a very decent setup that made him doubt himself constantly and filled him with a fear and feeling of guilt that he himself was responsible for his son being in a terrible situation.

In general, I would've liked to see more of Kara's wishes for the future. The only time she actually mentions something that doesn't include Alice is when the three of them are taking the boat to Canada and Kara is asked what she would like to do once they cross the border. The player can make a choice through dialogue options here, and one of the things she can say is that she would love to travel and explore the world through her own eyes, which is something she has never said before in the slightest and adds a bit more depth to her as a character

I want her to be more than just a caretaker, I want her to be someone who wants something for herself as well, and that should not be limited to that boat scene that always ends terribly in some way

TL;DR: Alice's dynamic with Kara could've been much more emotional without Alice turning out to be an android
