THE MINATO PROBLEM:The main issue I have with gotchard [rant]

(Probably isnt worded the best,made this at midnight)

So now that were a good halfway through gotchard I gotta address the issues I have with minato as a character.

Minato starts off as a teacher and a more or less leader to hotaro and the others but then dives into a lacky of some sorts to geryon.

AND NOW as of Episode 25 we learn that he’s doing that due to past trauma and he doesn’t want his students fighting geryon.

Which Is the most…..BACKWARDS THING I honestly have seen,he if wanted to truly make it so his students didn’t fight mr gold cube over there,he should’ve done it in a better way.

For starters,he makes himself out to be a bad guy and a enemy that has to be defeated.

And that happens,he loses to an in untransformed spanner (insane L).

But on the way to that fight they switch it up throughout the episodes

Like one episode you think hes being controlled

The next episode you’ll see a segment at the end in which your gonna ask “okay so he’s not controlled and is gonna work with lachesis”

And then now its like “okay he’s not evil…..but also not working with lachesis? But he still wants to take the chemy cards to help his students??”

This bipolar ass writing is making me absolutely dumbfounded at how his character is playing out

But who knows maybe this will all pay off as episode 26 looks fairly promising

This dude is a fucking villain! I love how he's done some of the most heinous shit just to make the world gold! 😂

Ngl his Father-Daughter act with Atropos had me fooled and losing faith in him as a villain but it was just a misdirect for some of the most petty villainous activity. All this with the fact that they tried to pull a Kaguya to his Madara with the Kings makes his comeback so much more epic! He's even the main villain in the damn movie!

I seriously hope he's the endgame antagonist tbh. It would be way better that way than with….That king or whatever I forgot his name.

Ok I need to talk about this and I don’t have reddit anymore (but I’m thinking of re-downloading just for this) no spoilers

Kamen Rider Gotchard episode 12. JFC! Before this I was very worried gotchard was going to be on the level of ghost or saber but this god damn episode might be one of my favourites ever (it is also the first one I’ve seen since catching up to the franchise).

It was brutal and subversive in the best ways. Incredibly depressing and I’m loving it. It introduced what could be my favourite rider ever? The design is so cool, like a zombie Eternal (I know how ironic that is) and I already really like the person themselves (trying really hard not to spoil it cause it was genuinely a twist I didn’t see coming). Just the other night I ordered booster boxes of the ride Chemy cards because I am becoming addicted to collecting trading cards and as soon as the episode finished I looked up to see if I could buy the replichemy cards anywhere. I am definitely getting the driver and cards when I can god damn I am so hyped, why did this have to happen once I caught up and there’s no merch yet and I can’t find out if the character becomes terrible?
