So I Watched Bucchigiri?!... (My Review)

(Before you proceed, I'll assume you watched the show but honestly you can still read it since i will limit the spoilers for those who want to watch the show)

1.First Impression/Why did i Watched it?

Youtube Ad victim (yes you read that right), the clip showing a mixture of throwing hands and humour looked interesting and fun.

(this crunchyroll ad above) IM NOT GONNA LIE, I 100% WATCHED THIS SHOW BECAUSE OF OUTA TAHIDE'S FINE ASS IN THE AD (CLICKBAIT VICTIM).

2. Story (5/10)

Laconic: A Red Aladdin style genie demon have a 300 year old beef with his blue boyfriend so now a lame loser high schooler maxs his stats and have to fight but dont get it twisted CORN ADDICITON WILL PREVAIL!

ehhh... Trashcan come to the podium. The biggest issue of this show are the plot points & certain characters motivations/personalities (ehum, Arajin. Ehum, Mahoro). Some are gear grinding when they appeared on screen. I'm not gonna dig too deep but the story sounds good on paper but when you add the unsufferabble MC, everything falls down the drains (Matakara should have been the MC).

I understand this is supposed to be a funny show but some tropes fall flat and are aggravating at best. Honestly Arajin & Mahoro are eating up most of the points for this categorie (get the lame simpery and mincest out of here). Other characters and the storyline as a whole did their thing regardless of the cliché they carried BUT ITS HARD LOOKING PAST THE BAD.

3. Characters (9/10) (THE BEST PART)

Before diving deeper, Bucchigiri is a mid show with AMAZING & GREATLY DESIGNED CHARACTERS. Aside from my thirst for Outa, I've looked up other characters before watching the show anf their designs are really good (MAPPA delivered). Which is why i'm disappointed to see them mishandled like that.

Also y'all couldnt have another female character to balance out Mahoro? (please omfg)

3.5. Simplified Characters Impresssions

MATAKARA(LEFT): Welcome back Suzaku Kururugi! ARAJIN (RIGHT): Walking Trashcan, Weirdo Simp from the deepest part of the abyss & Certified Mean Girl.

KOMAO (LEFT): My Ray of Sunshine (Is that a skirt and some dreads? SLAY!) ZABU (RIGHT): Min Yoongi (Suga)

MARITO: Mahito (JJK) + Boutarou the Pirate (Golden Kamuy) + The Pink haired dude from Sk8 the Infinity. OUTA: Some tanning slipped into the Manwha Male algorithm.

THEM TOGETHER : 2025 MatchaBlossom (sprinkle some crack over it)

JABASHIRI (RIGHT): So this is where Zabuza went after dying... Justified Hater of the MC (i stan with him) btw bro a hard head makes a soft ass... HAGURE (LEFT): Under heavy protection, Jabishiri should have beat you up for how you did him during the fighting tournament. I Knew you couldnt fight but i love you anyway... THEY ARE MY FAVOURITE DUO I CANT LIE (or ship i guess).

ARAJIN'S MOM (LEFT): Emotional Wincest Boy Mom MAHORO (RIGHT): That one sided bro/sis wincest in anime. GOING TO HELL IN A CASKET.

I'm not gonna say more.... (Nanami your boy is tweaking)

CAT DUDE (LEFT): Kiba Inuzuka's arch nemesis + Ouran High School Host Club KEN (RIGHT): Tekken/Street Fighter Character + King of Rule34

4. Watching Experience (5/10)

Yall know i will never complain about a 12 episodes anime (shout out to GANGSTA) but this serie would have benifited from more episodes with the story it was trying to go for. Because it really gave EASILY FORGIVEN and lets all dance around the campfire (wait arent yall opposite gangs or we dropping it and merging together?!.)

Like ive said the MC slowed down the watching experience because i had to actually leave and come back to later due to being so pissed off.

5. Do I Recommend?

As crazy as it sounds, i do recommend it. the 12 episodes will not take too much of your time and these characters a worthy of being love and appriciated to the fullest (the fanart is kinda dry).

In a way this series is a win for me regardless my complaints because the fights are cool as hell and its really showed me how to make great characters regardless the setting. I can see how this show could be a banger to others and it definetly can.

(Upper Moon 4, Aizetsu) (Heartbreak and Longing)

(Aizetsu's POV)

I was fighting her as she was protecting The Human next to her. She is so beautiful her bright red eyes shining and it made me long to look into those eyes when they do not have hatred for me!  "Sekido!" I cried out. "We have to retreat!"  "What the hell are you on about!" He snaps at me. "Kill her already!"  "Just trust me, please! It makes me sad that you do not trust me!" I tell him and he curses. 

We were able to retreat and they all glared at me. "What the hell?" Sekido demands.  "I know we all have feelings for the red-haired female demon slayer." I tell them "We should take her and make her ours."  "She is pretty hot!" Karaku agrees. 

Sekido growls. "Muzan wants us to kill her."  "Yeah... But what if we turned her into a demon?" Urogi asks. "Then she will not be able to kill Muzan and she WILL be Ours."  I nodded my head. "Let me try and persuade her first!" I say. 

"Fine, but you got one shot!" Sekido Snaps. 

We went back and I was able to get her away and pinned her to the tree. "I am sorry, but I have to show you~," I say, leaning down and kissing her neck and she struggles under me. "Please stop~ I want to show you how much I love you~"  Her body tensed and she did her best to shove me off her. 

It made me sad that she was rejecting my love~ "Do not struggle, love~" I said. "It is just making me hard for you~" 

I press my bulge against her and she feels my hardness. I look at her as she stares at me in horror.  "Forgive me, my sweet~," I tell her. "I need to make you accept my love~"  I kiss her again and knock her out, it was a low move, but I will get her out of here before another hashira gets here! I brought her to our territory and laid her down on my futon in my room. I use it for comfort since I do not need to sleep. She slowly starts to wake up, I had left her sword there so she had no way to kill me here and now. 

Her red eyes go wide. "Where am I?!" She demands of me.  "You are in our home," I tell her. "And I am sorry I had to do this, my dear, but you are safe with us."  I snap the chain onto her ankle. "What the!?" She tries to break the chain.  "It makes me sad, to chain you down, but I cannot have you leave me," I tell her. "I will get you some food, do not strain your voice, we are miles away from any other life, no one is going to come for you." 

I left the room and gripped my heart, I could not help but long for her, and I did not want to leave her side, but I needed to provide for her, to prove I was a good lover for her, and that I will be a good mate for her. I will have her, for I will not be able to handle the heartbreak!

Characters in Bucchigiri?! (part 1)

Since there's a lot of characters I'm going to split it into two posts. They have them split by group affiliation on the page so that's what I'll do.

No affiliation

Tomoshibi Arajin A first year student who had a dream about a sweet high school life and transferred schools. But the school he transferred to was Ichizu High School which is full of delinquents, and when he reunites with his former best friend, Matakara, he gets dragged into fights with strong people... He's worried about being a virgin.

Senya ???

Mahoro Arajin's classmate. An adorable girl with a small voice.

Minatokai

Asamine Matakara Childhood friends with Arajin. Affiliated with Minatokai and even though he's a first year he's recognizes that true power. He used to aim to become the "true person" together with Arajin...!?

Kanichirou The leader of the Minatokai. He has a antagonistic relationship with the Siguma Squad at the same school.

Zabu A first year in Minatokai. He picks on Arajin who just transferred schools.

Kamao A first year in Minatokai. He's best friends with Zabu.

Matakara if he was the original main character of Bucchigiri

Givn how people react to Arajin, they wouldn't be able to handle Matakara if he was the main character. (Though maybe slightly better due to prettiness attractive factor and gay. But probably not enough.) If Arajin trying to win over Mahoro is bad, just imagine every episode of poor Matakara going "Ara-chan!" and trying to be friendly with him. The second hand embarasamment and pity watching him trying to win him over, heck not even romantically even if he does love him, but Arajin saying multiple times we're not friends in front of everybody. Matakara telling everyone how awesome and amazing Arajin is. If Arajin is the side character now, it is an even bigger mystery and deep disconnect between Matakara's delusional idealization of Arajin and how everyone else and the audience sees him. It'd be just what are you on? Though seeing him and Zabu and Kamao would be fantastic. Everyone knows how Matakara feels about Arajin. He must constantly talk and show it constantly. He and Arajin share that obsession. Marito taunts him about being Arajin's doggie a few times. Unfortunately the audience and Zabu are still mystified. Though seeing Arajin literally one punch Marito, Kenichiro, and Akutaro actually gives justice to him being super strong and makes sense how Matakara continues to believe in him.

But no means no and it would be kind of questionable to see a nice guy like Matakara (who is a genuinely good person) be questionable and kind of essentially try to continue to push onto Arajin being friends again despite him not wanting too and even told repeatedly they weren't friends now is pretty sad. People's (the audience) heads would explode lol with how much he loves Arajin unlike how Arajin is felt about currently who is pretty over the top hated even though there really isn't anything wrong with him that deserves the reaction and dislike he gets. (Being annoying and a girl chaser is not that bad to be near worst mc hated character ever which is overkill). Matakara is a foolish Arajin chaser who is just as loud about it he just looks cuter. They're both absolutely delusionally obsessed with the ones they love and want. People would not be able to handle that Matakara will beat people up for little reason. It's a subtle thing because fighting is an acceptable and honorable thing in this fight culture excvited show but while Matakara doesn't start fights (at the start) for no reason, he has zero hesitation joining in and finishing and is pretty dang strong and dangerous (most after Kenichiro and Marito human wise. Akutaro is a maybe but in a fair one on one without weapons and Ichiya pretty sure Matakara would have smashed him). However, it does seem like people bumping into him was a challenge/excuse to start a fight as he does later deliberately and even implied at the start in the first episode that Zabu and Kamao were trying to get Arajin thrashed his first day. Had it been anyone but Arajin, it would have been very different and Zabu was too happy to get Arajin to bump him and introduce him to their big friend and Matakara is all in shadows...before oh it's Arajin! There is a very distinct treatment from Matakara between those who are his brother, Kenichiro and Arajin...and everybody else. Even his good friends (who are better friends to Matakara than Arajin ever was or unfortuantely probably will be barring the last act) are very aware of the place in ranking they have in Matakara's mind. He's nice but actually, we haven't seen him interact with many people outside of his friends and Arajin. As a main character, it would be clear he probably isn't actually nearly as nice to non Arajin's (or brother/ken's) or his buddies to a lesser degree. And while fighting is normal and over downright silly things, just accidentally being bumped into (forced) as an excuse is a tactic that...isn't a good or honorable one and used by someone who would bully. And while he isn't as ruthless as the NG group people actions, it would still be unpleasant and awful to watch them and the main character beat up a guy who had literally done nothing wrong just for fun.

It would reveal too soon and be concerning how kind of unbalanced Matakara really is and people would not like how emotionally needy and obsessed he is in chasing after a straight guy and low opinion of himself and the fear. This is not something looked kindly on by audiences and be hated for. A weak one who (while not the worst) does bully people and obsessed in love with a fantasy version of a guy who does not want him nor wants to be his friend (out of his own guilt complex but Matakara doesn't know that) and Matakara thinks it's because he's weak and just goes with it because it must be because Arajin is so strong. It's a tragic sad thing to see but also would make for a undeserved hatred of Matakara just like Arajin has now.

P.S. : Lol. I got this idea today like literally today and then thought of getting started but now I am kinda confused about something whether I should continue this one from buaji's POV only or I should write from all the characters' POV's. Let me know. And also ket me know ki yeh kuch samajh mein aaya bhi ki ekdum kachra kar diya hai maine. Lol :') Ok so I should have added this bit in the beginning but nvrmnd *shrugs* So I have considered double 'a' for आ sound, double 'o' for ऊ sound, double 'e' for इ sound and single 'a' is for अ sound, rest if you find any kind of confusion, please feel free to ask for help, considering this is not regular Hindi so :) Ok. Hey hey I haven’t been posting any art but I have been watching a few shows!! Spoilers below for the following:

Bucchigiri?! and Akudama Drive

I binged Bucchigiri in like two days and I love it but there’s some obvious gripes I have with it.

The main character Arajin is so god damn shallow it’s hard to root for him. He’s so so girl obsessed it’s infuriating!!! Matakara deserves so much better than that sad sack of bull!

Not to mention him becoming a Honki Person and “redeeming” himself was really fucking fast. It doesn’t really feel earned in my eyes and again I only really cared about Matakara at the end of it all.

Besides Arajin and Mahoro (who despite having a cute design annoys me to no end), I love LITERALLY EVERY OTHER CHARACTER! KAMAO I ADORE WITH MY WHOLE HEART!!! 💕

I literally JUST finished Akudama Drive and it had been on my radar since I heard Kodaka had a hand in it (and the designs caught my eye too). I hate that it took me so long to get into it and now that I’ve had…

I’m just so empty.

Going in, I adore the setup. Some random girl joins a villain heist it’s AWESOME. I love all of the characters and their interactions, mostly when they aren’t on a mission. It’s really something.

I’m not the biggest cyberpunk fan and I didn’t fully realize it was a part of that genre til episode 10 (I don’t really look at genres and whatnot before going into most shows). I kind of understood what they were trying to saw with Kanto and the people becoming this super computer but…I wouldn’t understand WHY they would want to do that.

Honestly I think the aspect of Kanto is the only thing I have issue with. That and the Bunny and Shark videos.

Their designs are silly or whatever but I hated that their videos are in every episode. And I know it’s for the brainwashing aspect but do we as the audience need to watch it??? I dunno.

That aside the characters are what make this series great to me. They’re all very interesting and different from one another even if they are all thrown under the same label. I…can’t think of a character I avidly disliked apart from like the Executioners as a whole (minus Master and Pupil bc they’re pretty good)

Brawler, Hoodlum, Swindler, and Cutthroat are my biggest faves tho! 💜

Definitely expect art from both shows in the near future!!
