Pokémon Legends Z-A: Dimension Collision - Part II!

They were so close! And Arceus just upped and took that from them! Not cool! (Now I kinda just wanna hug Emmet after this chapter) ;-;

I was debating whether or not just to have them sucked into Kalos, but then I thought ‘Nah, those two would definitely try to rebel back!’ Hopefully I did this part some justice! ^^

So we finally got a proper Legends: Z-A trailer

Saw a few other people posting their thoughts, so I figured I might as well join in because I do have a lot to say and not too many people to say it to. So here's what's going through my head looking through the trailer and website.

Long post ahead.

I was right. I told y'all and I was right and I am going to be smug about it because I said so. Present. Freaking. Day. I said the clothes in the reveal trailer proved it wasn't set in the past and I. Was. Right. Could still be time travel involved I suppose, but the majority of the game is set in the present and I am vindicated.

I wonder if the train station we arrive in, or I guess I'm just assuming this is a train station, is the same one that takes you to Kiloude in XY. Still want to know what "the usual place" is and if it has anything to do with the ghost girl.

The male protagonist kinda looks like Professor Sycamore to me. I wonder if we're gonna be a nepo baby in this game.

No gym logo on Prism Tower anymore. Which could mean anything really.

Actually a little disappointed about the "wild zones," I'd have preferred to see the Pokémon just out and about wherever. I think they may still be? But just mostly confined to these places. Bit of a bummer, not that bad.

The starter trio is...weird. I am disappointed to see that neither Snivy nor Piplup are part of it, feels like that was done on purpose just to subvert expectations. But subverted expectations don't guarantee the surprise is better, y'know? But yeah, Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile. I mean I don't dislike any of them, I'm happy to see them getting some love, they desperately need it. But having two of them be from Johto is really strange. Kanto and Hoenn probably weren't options because their starters already have Megas, but that still left Sinnoh, Alola, and Galar to pick from. So here's hoping they've just got something really good cooked up for both Meganium and Feraligatr that they just couldn't wait to show off. I'm really not sure if this game will follow in the footsteps of the previous Legends game and give us regional forms for these guys, or if they'll just get Megas instead. Both is possible, but unlikely, while just Megas feel like the most likely. Which kinda sucks because I like regional forms and would like to see more, but Kalos is the Mega region, sooo... I mean they could give these guys regional variants and then give us Megas for the Kalos starters and have us get one of them a la how we got a Mega Kanto starter in XY, but that's pure speculation. Anyway, these guys are neat, if a little odd. I like 'em fine. Also first time getting two quadrupeds in one starter trio so that's cool. Yeah Tepig's gonna stand up but it's still a first for the base forms.

Looks like the catching system works the same as it did in Arceus, which suits me just fine, because I had a lot of fun with that.

Ooh, we can go on rooftops. I notice, though, that there's no sign of catacombs yet. Still holding on to that little hope. Come on Game Freak, it's a whole game set in Poké-Paris, there have to be catacombs.

Rival picks the starter weak to yours. Lame.

Okay, so real time battles. That is...very interesting. I doubt this will become a series staple, at least in the mainline games. The turn-based Pokémon metagame is far too deep, intricate, and honestly well-crafted for them to just throw it out, but it is a neat idea for a pseudo side game like this. The faster pace will make the battles less methodical, less about taking your time and coming up with strategy and more about thinking on your feet, which could be a neat challenge. And I'm looking forward to seeing how certain moves' mechanics change in relation to this new system. The above screenshot, for example, shows a Lucario using Protect, which is normally not a very good move for playthroughs as it doesn't do much in most single battles other than waste a turn, but now in this game it will be invaluable. Being able to completely block an enemy attack without worrying about dodging and repositioning is incredible. It looks like each move is on a cooldown timer too, so you can't just hammer away with the same move over and over again. Guess that keeps the battles more dynamic. Also I wonder if this means they'll do away with PP. More powerful moves may just take longer to recharge. Hmm. There's a lot more I could say here, but I don't want this post to go on forever. Still this is neat, especially since I've been musing a lot lately on the differences between battles in the games vs how they're depicted in the anime and such.

I see the player character still has a dodge roll, so I assume the Pokémon can still kill us? Hope so, that was a big part of the fun last time.

So Mega Pokémon are all permanently iridescent now? I...actually don't mind that, it looks kinda nice. Sorta reminds me of the Terastallization crystallized effect. Pretty. Also I like the new bronze-coloured Mega Ring. Also pretty.

So the CEO is evil, right? That's kinda the way these things work in Pokémon. Of course it could be a double bluff and she's actually chill because they know we're expecting that trope by now, but we'll see. The big manly man secretary with the Pancham and Buneary hair ornaments in his man bun is cute though.

They put AZ in a SUIT?? Man looks clean! Like he even washed his hair! And he's smiling! He recovered and he's actually happy! Oh you love to see it. Still though, my guy, I get that you're three meters tall, but you live in Poké-Paris. You could have found a tailor. So I guess the stitched together clothes are a fashion statement.

Also we are so getting that Floette.

I never noticed that Zygarde 10% has a butthole before. A hexagonal one at that.

Looks like some parts of the city are still under construction. There's scaffolding up. That's cool, adds more of a 3D element to the environment. I do like climbing things.

Also, speaking of the city, it's split into five sections, and now they're all colour-coded. Which is kinda funny looking, but I mean I'm here for it. The colours match the plazas Lumiose had in XY that were named after colours...almost. The red section is where Magenta Plaza should be, and the section where Rouge Plaza should be is a very pale pink. So did they change the order, or are these colours someone's very mixed up idea of what magenta and red look like?

Okay so the rival is the protagonist you didn't pick with a palette swap and wardrobe change. That's cool, it's been a while since we've seen that. I mean I guess Arceus did it, but that was to match DP having Lucas and Dawn appear in game. The last time it happened with totally new characters was...XY. Huh. And of course changing their look is totally new. The names are a little goofy though. Urbain and Taunie. Sometimes Pokémon can be subtle with the protagonists' and rivals' names, but Urban and Townie here are not an example of that.

Speaking of, no names for the protags yet, but they are totally new designs, not makeovers of Calem and Serena, at least not obviously. I wonder if they'll be referenced at all. I highly doubt either will actually appear, but some mention of "the hero who stopped Team Flare x years ago" would be pretty standard Pokémon fare.

It is interesting how things in the wild zones seem to have just been left as they are. Like they weren't cleared out or turned into parks, there are cars left crooked on the side of the road and tables and chairs abandoned where they sat. I wonder if that's going to be a point of tension in the plot, people opposing the redevelopment plan because they were forced out of their homes. Seems unlikely for Pokémon to get into anything like that too deeply, but they may touch on it. Why do they look like that?

Sooo that's a Chikorita that knows Disarming Voice, which it cannot learn by any means in the mainline games. I smell a Grass/Fairy Meganium form in our future. Mega or regional, whichever. Tepig is shown using Rollout and Totodile is shown to know Bite, but both of them learn those moves normally, so that's no guarantee of Rock or Dark types for them. Fairy moves are new for Chikorita though, very very new.

Either that is the world's tiniest Onix, or Pokémon won't be properly scaled in this game. Again :/ Come on guys, you made it work last time. Yeah, visible size variation has been a thing in the last couple games, so maybe there's hope, but that itty bitty Onix sucks to see.

Okay hold up. Bottom right corner. It looks like Mega Evolution is on a timer. Don't tell me it just ends after that runs out. Oh I don't like that. Not at all. The whole point of Mega Evolution is that it's once per battle but it lasts the entire battle. That better not mean it only lasts until that timer runs out, that just makes it reskinned Dynamax. But I don't know what else that could mean. Ugh. Not a fan of that, no sir.

LOOKER BUREAU SPOTTED!!! Oh please tell me we get to check in on Emma. I would love that.

Okay, so this is the last thing shown in the trailer. A logo showing what looks to be the Prism Tower with a Poké Ball atop it, just after the text, "PROMOTION MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT." So what I would assume that means is that there are some kind of promotional battles, maybe a tournament, being held in Prism Tower? Possibly to fund the redevelopment project? I expect they'll use this to have a bunch of old characters show up with updated designs, which I love, so consider me stoked.

I have not..... I know a lot about them though and of course I've heard amazing things. they seem like exactly what I would've loved when I was younger and I'm really happy other people got to experience that. but I got pretty burnt out on cartoons after the 2014-2017 era of fandom. can you blame me lmao

yes that is me! thank you!! but ummm honestly I don't think their reactions would be much different than canon. they're still fundamentally the same people, just with somewhat different life circumstances. so all around the basic "hey asshole, you try to hurt my family again and I'll make you wish you never discovered the third dimension" from everybody involved.

I haven't, but taking a glance at it it seems pretty impressive. the art and designs don't really grab me (I'm picky) but maybe I'll check it out sometime.

I played a little bit of it! mostly the robot section of course. cube's got a great design, it's not elegant at all but it's dynamic and memorable

unfortunately most horror games are a huge blind spot for me, ESPECIALLY survival horror. I am......a wimp. like, majora's mask was too stressful for me to play, I don't think I could make it through a whole game being chased by The Killer.

I love horror elements in non-horror games though. and I'd like to get into the somewhat more obscure horror games that are focused more on atmosphere and storytelling than anything else (parasite eve I'm coming for you)

ech..... honestly I was kinda disappointed by the new trailer. I was really looking forward to it but I wanted more weird time travel stuff and it wouldve been a really cool way to learn more about kalos' history. what we've been shown so far looks kinda lame. on the other hand though, it wouldn't be authentically kalos if it wasn't kinda lame and disappointing (said with all the love in the world for XY)

Homeschooled from elementary to high school by his dragon clan. Then went to a private prestigious university in Galar (The same one Cynthia and Steven would eventually go to.)

Secular Private school kid, all his life. (like meeee) Probably didn't go to university in favor of Contests, since he blew up in popularity around his mid teens.

ACE kid.

He became champion really young so he probably didnt go to normal school as a kid, so ACE it was. He was enrolled there, but he never really showed up except if you counted him coming in once a month to get his Paces and pace tests

For the uninformed, Ace is a school system focused on self learning.

They give you a short workbook called a PACE that is essentially a week or twos worth of lessons, a goal chart that you have to set yourself which is basically a little calendar where you write your goal page, usually 3 - 5 pages and then you finish it at the end of the day.

If you are ever done with a goal or page, you go to the scoring station and then score it yourself.

Once you're done, you immediately take a test for all the stuff you learned.

That's basically the gist of it, but Leon would do his Paces in between training sessions, once the week was over, the finished paces and pace tests would go to the teacher to be graded.

In your post about how you would've changed the XY series to make Ash's Kalos League victory more satisfying, you mentioned how Kanto is the only region other than Alola that could've had a satisfying league victory. While you made a good point on Ash having more connections with Kanto than Kalos, I also feel that Ash needed to grow as a trainer before he was ready to win a league if he was retired much sooner.

With that in mind, what changes or additions would you make to either the Original Series (Johto in particular) or the Diamond & Pearl series to end Ash's story in Gen 2 at the earliest or Gen 4 at the latest?

Honestly I think ending in Johto as it was (just make AshvsGary the final and we're good) would have been great. Sure we wouldn't have "good trainer Ash" from Sinnoh or Kalos, nor the emotionally mature Ash of Alola; but Johto Ash felt like a very good growth from the brat he was in Kanto (specially for the 90s)

Also winning in Johto, that it's kinda of an extention of Kanto, down to sharing an elite four; would have felt like the ideal redemption for Ash (not to mention Brock and Misty were still both there to see his growth and all)

If I were to say to change something would be to just GIVE MISTY LAPRAS INSTEAD (in the orange saga)!!! Kanto-Johto sucks bad in the treatment of anyone other than Ash and the more I look at that pokemon under Ash the more I hate it. Misty never did anything with her water specialist goal! And are you telling me that Misty would not be insanely protective of that big water baby??? Misty has a theme song in japanese ABOUT LAPRAS???! how did they mess that up that badly?

Also, giving Lapras to Misty and perhaps including a small arc of her helping it trust humans while having Ash earning Charizard's trust happening side by side would have been SO GOOD.

I get it that having Ash earn it's trust was good setup for Charizard later but still STILL! It would have been a great moment to let Misty do something other than holding that stupid Togepi :T (Brock had more attention than her with the Vulpix plotline later!!)

Maybe we could still have Ash bonding with Lapras while Misty took care of the most complicated stuff like food, medicine and have Ash let her have the Lapras in the end despite everything cause "you know about it a lot more than me" or something. Good chara growth for Ash in doing that for Misty of all people and would also add into their ship if they were supposed to be endgame to match a potential finale. And would add another parallel to Charizard since Brock was wayyy more invested when they met it as Charmander and Ash got it anyway.

(we could even have Togepi evolve at the goodbye because of the overall happiness Misty and Lapras felt at the later's freedom or something)

Also, everyone loves to call out BW for not taking advantage of the timeskip from BWgames to BW2 but the OG anime also didn't do SHIT with the timeskip from RBG to GS and I think that would have been cool to see. Specially in context to Brock and Misty and idk maybe see Misty in special develop a bigger interest on actually becoming the Cerulean gym leader after all; while we could have more mentions of Forrest becoming a gym leader too (with perhaps him sending some pokes to Brock to raise, teach new moves, stuff like that! Kinda like he did with Suzie's Vulpix but expanded)

Having characters like Gary and Ritchie pop up more often (Johto had so many fillers that could have just been about recurring characters in general) would help a lot too. Specially I would have loved a proper Ritchie vs Ash battle so Ritchie himself could be like "you've grown a lot" ;w;

Also, Casey and Sakura should have been in the league and it would have been really nice if they had committed to the "Mentor Ash" thingie with Casey in specific. There are hints there, but it could have been much more interesting (specially if she did end up in the league but lost too soon and Ash supported her because he knows how that feels or even sort of "fought for her" afterwards. Adding that layer of "battling for the people around me and not only for the win" thingie)

Now DP.. welp. I'm bias :v

While Sinnoh itself is totally not an important place for Ash, characters like Dawn (who helped in his goal) and Infernape (who showed us how much he grew as trainer and person), the connection to the lake deities, and the very deliberate parallels to the OG series make up for it so I would be ecstatic if he won the league there aoheduiabs

Fixing DP would be just fixing plot points that piss me off in particular. Like, make the summer camp arc actually have some sort of meaning??? That was so inconsequential and it piss me off how that lasted 4 plus the 5th fatphobic TR episodes.

@/silvermeww proposed the idea of upgrading Angie into an actual trainer (and therefore league rival) and I agree with that notion! Pokemon has a disturbing lack of trainer girls and an even more disturbing lack of girls in leagues, so having Angie take this role would have been super cool she could even replace Conway for me :3c and would make that arc hold more weight.

Not release Ambipom and fix Togekiss capture.

I.. I just hate how Dawn got Togekiss so so so so much. And the reminder that Ambipom got thanosed to make room for that bird makes it worse. There was a filler with an "evil" Togepi 50 episodes prior that could have gone for Dawn and become Togekiss and that would have been 100% better than the Salvia BS episode. Do the Togebo from Pokespe thing but with Dawn! That would be hilarious ashdiioasda

Ambipom could have gone play Ping Pong for all I care, but I do wish they had brought her back to the Grand Festival (at the very least for the appeals -show how far she and Dawn have come from their first appeal together QAQ-, or even just to watch it)

Ash winning against Paul with Infernape would not be too bad since that was the season that set up the Champions league (aka elite four) and therefore Pikachu would totally have his time against Cynthia (despite the buildup with InfernapexGarchomp.. maybe treat Spiritomb as her "true" ace?). It would totally be an Alola league then Kukui kinda deal. God, we could even do the Volo thing and give her Giratina as a treat /j

Also please Torterra should have his redemption arc in the Champion league! He could have a rematch against Bertha's Hippowdon!!! And Infernape vs Infernape in Ash vs Flint! Buizel rematch against Lucian's Bronzong!

Gosh… DP had some good set ups between the elite four and Ash's mons uh.

I really would have loved to see more of that, more of Brock seeing Ash growing and seeing him become someone who doesn't need his big bro taking care of him anymore (maybe could've expanded to things like taking care of pokemon or mundane chores too).

Speaking of Brock, I would have loved more Brock and Paul interactions since it was pretty obvious Paul saw a lot of Reggie in Brock. And I would have loved if that relationship could have helped Paul grow rather than the "oh no i lost. I am a better person now" approach that we got in the league lmao

Still onto Paul, I would have liked if his actions held more weight too. Is peak cinema when Ash takes over ordering Chimchar in the tag team tournament but I would have liked if Paul acting like that had ended in his disqualification (thus giving the two bells to Ash from the get-go). Like.. that was pretty much him forfeiting? And like, he was abusing Chimchar! He should have suffered consequences for it at least ONCE!

Gosh, imagine a plot point where one of the gym leaders refuse to take Paul's challenge because of how he treats his pokemon? And have him realize that not everyone is going to just let him do whatever he wants? It would have been nice. Crasher Wake (who is one of the most forgetable Sinnoh leaders -at least for me) would have been perfect for such a plot point.

Lastly I would have liked more old charas cameos. I know the anime hates it (they hated it even back in Johto) but I would have loved to see some past rivals reappering. Also more of Gary. More Gary is always good.

It kinda sucks that you get a whole dorm room in Scarlet/Violet, and you don't even get to do the one cool thing every student would do with their dorm room - personalize it!!

So I spent an absurdly long time painstakingly editing someone's character out of a screenshot of the empty room, until it looked pretty much seamless...and then proceeded to just scribble over it anyway dkjfg. This is just a concept of what my trainer Sierra would have in her room. It would take way too long to clean it up, so it's just gonna look sketchy for now -u- But I really like what I did with it!

On the bed: Two lavender pillows, two throw blankets, a shiny Minior plush, and a shiny Torchic plush. If you were to interact with the bed, the text would say "There are a few small red and green feathers on the bed..." Sierra's Hawlucha sometimes takes naps there with her kdjfg.

On the left wall: A Froslass poster, inspired by a drawing I once received as a gift.

On the center wall: A map of Paldea with lots of sticky notes, photos, and articles, all connected by strings. Here she keeps track of things related to her search for new Mega Stones (specifically one for Bisharp).

On the right wall: A whiteboard with random notes and doodles. The one of Sierra and her Bisharp is the most prominent

On the shelf: Four frames of Gym Badges she's earned (Sinnoh, Hoenn, Kalos, Galar) - Galar's are tucked away in the corner, as she's a bit ashamed of the experience (she quit before fighting the E4 in Galar, due to the pressure/anxiety of her biggest matches being televised) (also I cheated and copy/pasted transparent PNGs of those badges sorry dkjfg). On the right side are several binders, all containing her research on Mega Evolution.

headcanons of what I think the anipoke cast is up to in the future

Ash - Still traveling the world, on a journey to become a Pokemon Master, cuz ofc he is. He's changed his approach and focuses more on learning about Pokemon, but will still never say no to a good battle. Fights hard to stay World Champion. Occasionally still works for Cerise

Misty - She's still the leader of the Cerulean City Gym but she's slowly working up her way to becoming a Kanto Elite Four Member

Brock - Pokemon Doctor! Has been all over the place helping out at different Pokemon Centers over the years

Gary - He's a Pokemon Professor! Well known for all kinds of insane discoveries. He works under his Grandpa and eventually takes over the Lab. Still has a rivalry with Goh.

Tracey - He's Garys assistant now, make sthe lab very chaotic. Started taking art commissions on the side

May - Well known Top Coordinator who has won multiple Grand Festivals! But she still comepetes in contests and travels with the hoen coordinator gang

Max - Gymleader, he's taken over the Petalburg City gym! Dunno what his type though is, he can mix em if he wants to

Dawn - Also a well known Top Coordinator with multiple wins, and she still occasionally competes in contests. I like the idea of her getting into fashion and designing.

Paul - Either a Gym Leader or an Elite Four member, maybe even Sinnoh Champion, but definitely still battles

Iris - Contiunes to be Unovas champion, trying to snatch Ashs world champ title and learning about dragon types on the way

Cilan - S class connoisseur! Still likes traveling but also stays in Striaton a lot to help out in the café, though he doesn't act as gym leader anymore

Serena - Reining Kalos Queen and Pokevision influencer! Also her and Lisia are a pop star duo

Clemont - Not a gym leader anymore either, he's focused more on his inventions and becomes pretty well known for it

Bonnie - New Lumiose Gym Leader! I like to think she tried out both gym battles and showcases when she was old enough to go on her own journey, but ended up being drawn towards batrling a lot more. I also like the idea of her beconing Kalos champion eventually

Mallow - Pretty much took over Ainas Kitchen and started branding out their name to other Alola Islands

Lana - I kinda like the idea of her getting interested in acting after the gig she and the other sm girls had, still fishes with her dad for fun

Kiawe - Akala Islands newest Kahuna! Contributes to keeping the Alola league tournament alive as well. He doesn't have much time to help with the farm anymore but still delivers milk every morning

Sophocles - Works at Pokemon NASA, far off from going to space but he'll get there

Lillie - I am very attached to Lillie being a teacher at the Pokemon school, but I also like the idea of her writing books. Either way she does something booksmart tm

Gladion - Works at the AF, got sucked into the family buisness and researching UBs after Lillie the Nihilego

Ik she helps out her dad as a research fellow at the end of the series and I also like her getting more into contests but I don't really think she does either of those forever? I like the idea of her doing photography, it's artistic in the opposite direction of what her mom does

I've come up with a guy for Pokemon Investigations. For those who are not in the know, this is an AU where Looker quit Interpol to stay in Kalos with Emma and do Private Detective-ing for real.

His name's Thorn (name subject to change) and he's a new hotshot Interpol agent that's been assigned to be Anabel's partner/subordinate. He's always looking to prove himself and kinda lives in Looker's shadow since he's basically replacing him. So when Looker comes back into the equation due to happenstance he immediately jumps at the chance to one up him and in the process jumps to wildly incorrect conclusions.

He's a grass type specialist because grass is weak to poison and Looker used to have a Crogunk as his partner so it kinda represents that he's kinda so sucks (sort of Sebastian Debeste-esque but not quite to Sebastian's extreme) but his partner Pokemon is a Roselia, which is grass/poison, which poison is neutral towards, to represent that he does have the potential to be as good as Looker if he'd just stop trying to be someone he's not.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

Conceptually, both Mauly and Rory are two sides of the same coin. At first I only had Mauly, but I decided to extract a few traits from her and squelch those out into their own character so that her personality wouldn’t feel so totally neutered by incompetence. She’s a little more idealized, whereas Rory is my worst fear of what I could turn out to be, or how other people might perceive me

Mauly is impulsive, brash, self-serving, and arrogant. She’s unapologetically angry, horny, and human. Rory is all of those things, but deeply insecure and constantly overcompensating. He’s pathetic and he makes me sick. Basically he boils down to “sid vicious if he were a bit less of a dick, purely because he’s subdued by cowardice”

Design-wise? Kalos’ rendition of the Punk Guy/Girl trainer class, man. I fell in love instantly. Also this one specific tank girl page:

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

Mauly takes no shit. Sure, that might mean she leaves a bad taste in some people’s mouths, but she knows when she deserves to be treated better. Something I’ve always struggled with has been not standing up for myself because I’m worried it’ll hurt or inconvenience other people. Mauly says fuck those other people, It’s not my job to accommodate anyone else’s existence by minimizing my own. Her whole arc is about self-acceptance through ambivalence. “Even if i don’t love myself, i can’t change who I am. You’re not going to change me either, and you look stupid for trying”

Rory’s best use to me is catharsis. I’ve shoved all the shit I hate about myself into this guy and exaggerated it by queefzillion, and it feels reassuring to see him being knocked down a peg for behaving like a little wart. It also feels kind of nice when he still manages to find occasional kindness in spite of his many, many glaringly hideous flaws.

🥊 - What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?

Mauly was one of those kids who every adult in her life would describe as “so creative” and “a free spirit”, which is actually grown-up code for “this poor bastard’s gonna be a starving artist and we’re hiding our disappointment”. If she had the means to create more often, she’d have a lot of fun honing her craft and fully leaning into art as an outlet for her angst

Because she’s so hands-on and skilled at improvised patching and the like, she often gets stuck with repair responsibilities by the other schmucks she lives with. She doesn’t mind slapping duct tape over stuff several times over or whacking things with a hammer til it fits right, she just would prefer not being assigned that job by other people. Never tell her what to do

Rory’s nimble fingers don’t only make him a passable thief, but also a possibly-not-the-worst musician. He’s never played for anyone else, which might be why he kinda sucks, but it’s one of the few things he keeps to himself instead of bloating to give his delicate ego some padding. His songbook is loaded with edgy cringe, but its the sort of raw soul-bearing stuff that reminds you there’s a person in there. Not a great person, but a person

I know I just made a post about ocs replacing Malva and all, but I also want to discuss Malva actually staying as a part of the elite 4( within the context of my au)

To put it simply, publicity. The league already looks bad there supposed to be lack of action against team flare. If it comes out that Malva, an Elite 4 member, was a part of Team Flare, there would be a total uproar, a riot even, and the league just can't deal with that after the damage that happened with team flare. So they let her stay. Which is still bad, of course, letting a terrorist be in such a high rank that is the elite 4. But things are already as bad as they are. It's kinda ya doomed if you doomed if you do kinda if situation, at least in my eyes.

I think, with this in mind, maybe instead of Malva being on the run like I initially planned, she is still an elite 4 member for a period of time, however, she is slowly phased out, which ultimately leads the way for Phoenix to take her place?

I think this would be interesting cause it sucks. It sucks that Malva is shielded by her position in the league. It sucks that she essentially gets to go home scott free. Sure, Dante kinda did, but he was 1) never an actual member of team flare and has actively gone against them and 2) he still got some sort of punishment for helping Lysandre. Malva doesn't exactly get that? I can see her being under surveillance and she did ultimately lose her job, but again. Kinda got off scott free. Maybe after she is no longer and elite 4 and kinda faded into obscurity she actually gets arrested, but by then it wouldn't mean anything. And that sucks.

I can only imagine how frustrated Jude would feel about everything. Having to work with malva still, having Malva get no real consequences. It makes them livid, and kinda question why they're still a champion? But then they remember all the bullshit in kalos and go "ah. That's why". Fortunately Phoenix comes along, and they get along great!

Hello, my dearly dear Alyah.

It's been awhile agaknya aku ga bucinin kamu, don't you feel the same or just me? Hehe. I'm sorry, but yes, like I've been said before, aku punya banyak cerita yang mau aku sampaikan ke kamu but we got almost none our time everyday, neither is you are busy or me getting busy too, or just aku yang malah udah hilang moodnya untuk cerita. I'm sorry, and yes honey I notice, even how tired and busy you are, you're still ngeluangin waktu kamu buat aku even tho beberapa kalinya I freaking kinda dry text you pas aku lagi ga di mood yang bagus, sigh.

Honestly, sampe sekarang masih, but I kinda getting used to it? Dan, mau menyesuaikan kembali keseharianku seperti biasa dan ya udalah just gonna put aside this heavy feeling, karena kalo diladenin terus bakal ga kelar-kelar?? Sigh. Yeah, anyway! Beberapa waktu lalu selagi hal ini lagi terjadi, aku bersamaan ngalamin pengalaman awikwok bjir momen. There's a few guys yang ke spill suka sama aku, dan aku agak duh.. ada aja deh. Males, cuman mau ga mau aku hadapi kan. I mean they are not mean or anything, malah sebaliknya, they're so gentle, but fucking still I got huge guilty feeling yang membuat aku makin-makin ke triggered agaknya to feel makin jauh dari diri aku. I keep forcing myself to ngehadapin mereka secara baik, ya memang ga ada salah juga mereka-mereka ini. Cuman PR banget lah diluaran hal itu.

Selagi ngadapin cowo-cowo itu, aku juga harus ngejelasin ke temenku kenapa gamau mulai terbuka aja, yang mereka tau kan aku emang ga pernah mau terbuka buat cowo manapun kalo ada yang ngedeketin, even tho aku ngerespon baik but still dry gitu loh bobotnya ga ngasih harapan or anything. Dikelas sempet heboh juga, jadi kek ah anjinglah, ada aja kan gitu. So however, dari itu yeah, dari matkul kerkom terus, kehebohan itu, temen-temenku, cerita ke ayahku, bagaimanapun tetep harus aku kan yang hadapin, so.. I kinda feel so far from you, even tho kita gada masalah apa-apa, but still always, triggering me even more pas kita LDR begini. My fucking narcissistic mind would never keep shut up to think something bad about us, again the silent battle yang aku harus hadapi. How on earth aku bisa ceritain ke kamu kan secara pas saat itu banget pikiran aku kacau pastinya bakal ngomong yang engga-engga tentang kita.

Aku hampir ga kuat sama LDR ini, cuman apa juga pemicunya? Aku gamau dengan alasan konyol kita pisah padahal ga terjadi apa-apa, itu beneran kayak si Nessa dan Nori kebagi jadi dua orang. I wanted to keep you. Sampe kita ketemu lagi, having our time again. Just to be stuck by you. I feel huge guilty selagi aku ngehadapi hal-hal itu, I even think maybe I'm not fully into girls, but bi, stuff like that it's just hurting my ego even more yet I kinda am narcist about it. Like, we know Ness, how much we hated guys and would never ever have any thoughts of dating them even once. But that time aku kaget sendiri sempet terbesit hal tadi, "maybe i'm not fully into girls?"

Fucking stupid. I face that question everyday, but to just keep feel stupid afterwards and suck a jerk. I have you in my heart but the minds would never keep shut up. I still think about you though, dan pas itu terjadi I would just spice things up in my head, to keep you still with me. Bisa dibilang ya, itu titik terlemah aku juga to keep you in my mind, karena ga biasanya dan what the fuck moment banget lah. Aku gabisa ajak kerjasama diriku, so thats what I've been working on with myself. Dan yes, kayak yang aku bilang, aku ga bisa bilang ini ke siapa-siapa kan, cerita tentang hal ini ke siapa? Sebagai pengakuan lagi, aku emang selalu capek buat keep my mouth shut to not talking excitedly with sparkle love in my eyes when I'm talking about you to them. Dan juga keadaan-keadaan kayak gini, ketika ada yang suka sama aku juga, I can't just say that I have a girlfriend right, kamu pun pasti paham. But damn, this is our situation.
