Finally, my secret project is complete. Honestly, Zinnia probably shouldn't take up as much cover real-estate as she does since in my mind she only has a part in one case but I like the aesthetic. I took a lot of inspiration from the Ace Attorney Key Arts (the key art for the Apollo trilogy really helped me with Looker's pointing pose) (logo-less version under the cut).

Join the Pokemon Investigations Writing Team

After the fall of Team Flare, International Police Officer Looker comes to the Kalos region to track down the remnants of the nefarious organization. With the help of a young girl named Emma, her Espurr, Mimi, and Kalos’ new champion, he succeeds. His mission accomplished, he departs the Kalos region, leaving the Looker Bureau in Emma’s care. At least, that’s the story in one universe.

In another universe, one so very much like our own and yet also so very different, Looker stayed in Kalos, quitting Interpol to become a Private Detective full time alongside his partner and ward, Emma, and her partner, Mimi. But, while Looker may be done with Interpol, it seems Interpol is not done with him. What at first seems to be a simple missing Pokemon case becomes so much more when the culprit turns up dead. Soon the Looker Bureau find themselve swept up in a myriad of murder cases all of which seem to connect back to a the same group. But just who is this mysterious group and what does this all have to do with an unsolved case from Looker’s past?

Hi everyone, the name's BackSet and this is a little project I've been cooking up in the back of my brain for a little over a year now. To put it simply, its Ace Attorney Investigations but with Pokemon. Thing is, though, I'm not too good at mystery writing. Which is why I need some help. If you think this sounds cool and wanna pitch in, then I'd be super grateful. At the moment this is really just a creative writing project but I have dreams of maybe someday making it an actual game. That's just a pipe dream right now, though. I don't know any programmers and I don't have the money to hire one so we'll have to stick with just the writing part for now. Here's a Discord server. Presenting Thorn (name subject to change), an oc from my Pokemon Investigations AU. After Looker quit Interpol to run the Looker Bureau with Emma full time, Anabel was assigned a new partner, a hot headed upstart rookie codename Thorn. He's determined to prove he's better than Looker, leading him to jump to incorrect conclusions. His partner is a Roserade, hence why he looks like a Roserade Gijinka.

I've come up with a guy for Pokemon Investigations. For those who are not in the know, this is an AU where Looker quit Interpol to stay in Kalos with Emma and do Private Detective-ing for real.

His name's Thorn (name subject to change) and he's a new hotshot Interpol agent that's been assigned to be Anabel's partner/subordinate. He's always looking to prove himself and kinda lives in Looker's shadow since he's basically replacing him. So when Looker comes back into the equation due to happenstance he immediately jumps at the chance to one up him and in the process jumps to wildly incorrect conclusions.

He's a grass type specialist because grass is weak to poison and Looker used to have a Crogunk as his partner so it kinda represents that he's kinda so sucks (sort of Sebastian Debeste-esque but not quite to Sebastian's extreme) but his partner Pokemon is a Roselia, which is grass/poison, which poison is neutral towards, to represent that he does have the potential to be as good as Looker if he'd just stop trying to be someone he's not.
