Hi can I ask you A question when and how did you discover Voltron legendary defender and which character is your favorite, and which lion do , you like . And which pairing is your, favorite and why you like that . Pairing.?

Aaaah sorry for the slow response. Life's been so busy!! Let me see... I stumbled on the trailer for Season 2 back when the show was still running, maybe four seasons or so were out? I can't remember where it was - Youtube? Reddit? I remember chuckling at one of the jokes and thinking the art looked a bit nice, for a Western cartoon. I'm primarily an anime fan you see, very skeptical of everything else. I decided to try it out in any case, and stuck with it in the end! Searching for fan content online is actually what got me to join Tumblr ^^;;

Favorite character is Allura! She's just. Very important to me.

Favorite lion is green, Kitty Rose! I dunno I like the power set and green is nice.

My favorite pairing is Kallura, they just have a lot of thematic parallels that'd take too long to list but I've made a bunch of posts and such. I think they mesh well together, provide the right balance to bring out the best in each other. Like their character arcs naturally weave together so perfectly, too bad the later seasons dropped the ball on that but that's what fanfic is for amirite?

Plance comes in a veeery close second, mostly I just like goofy guy x nerdy girl stuff, Lance should have realized he was in love with Pidge all along. I can't even get into it, like. She was right there. The best choice.

Least: it's been a while but maybe Shiro??? it just felt like Keith never really got to shine with how much importance they gave Shiro

Fav Villain: Probably Lotor or his mom, I love villains who have a cleverness and charisma, that seem trusting, but are unstable and twisted in the downlow

I think it's time to tell you more about Kai and why he's so different from the rest of the Kogane family.

Kai is the youngest child of Kallura. Since he was little, he was a bit of a dreamer, shy, kind, sweet, and a happy child who loved to take care of others.

But something happened when he was six years old.

He was kidnapped by a crazy scientist who wanted to experiment with his DNA. He was kept in the laboratory for two weeks in great amount of pain until the team saved him (you should have seen Daniel and Larmina, there was nothing left of that guy).

Since then, he's been going to therapy

Night terrors still trouble him from time to time

He found art, music, and poetry as a way to channel and express his emotions.

Although he appears a bit dark and rebellious, he's actually often smiling, has a good sense of humor, and still loves to take care of others, although he may not always admit it.

He loves his family and his team more than anything in the world and would give his life for any of them without hesitation.

He is very close with everyone, especially Katie, she's like a baby sister (there will be a special part about their relationship)

He likes to paint bedroom walls

And enjoys decorating cakes:

One year, Leo ordered a birthday cake for Rose, but the order was canceled two days before her birthday, and no bakery was willing to make a cake on such short notice.

Nella was very sorry and started making the cake herself. Kai stumbled upon her and decided to help her.

Nella's cakes are the most delicious, but her decoration skills aren't the best.

Kai, as I mentioned before, loves art, he has his own atelie (the greenhouse you saw in Katies Aesthetic is both, Katie's lab and Kai's atelie).

He took it upon himself to decorate the cake and accidentally created a masterpiece.

Since then, Nella makes the cake for everyone's birthday, and Kai decorates it.

1 What are 3 things you’d say shaped you into who you are?

This is a tricky one. Outside of the obvious shit like my family, friends, past and where I grew up, I would say that the YuGiOh, Voltron and Gravity Falls fandom had the strongest impacts on me.

Voltron=That fandom was by far the most toxic one that I ever encountered. That never changed all of these years later. However, I had plenty of experiences in that one, both the good and the bad. Like that time I was a mod on the Kallura discord server, which was a huge shit show to say the very least. I also made a few online friends in that one, so it wasn't all terrible.

Gravity Falls=This was the fandom where I started writing more one shots, gaining more experience. I also think the series itself impacted my writing style the most. Mine resembles this, The Owl House or Helluva Boss where it leans slightly to the comedic side of things, but can be scary, dramatic and serious when it calls for it.

YuGiOh=This was my first fandom. This was the time when I started creative writing for the first time. The first fic that I ever wrote was a YuGiOh DM one shot over a decade ago. (God, I'm old.) More importantly, I gained a few online friends like @jessaryss there, who I'm still friends with all of these years later.

12 What’s some good advice you want to share?

Assuming this is talking about in general and not anything specific, but I think the best one is to be true to yourself and don't let others dictate that for you. Cliche, I know. But if you always let others decide how you should live your life, you will never be happy.

what would you all think of something like a zine redrawing past versions of kallura with vld designs? i've never run something like that before, but, a fandom project of sorts could help us all feel better. vld allura deserves every romance the white version of her got and more, so it's up to us. would anyone like to help out, lend advice, volunteer art, etc...?
