Hey y'all 👋 Sorry it's been a hot second. Still busy trying to figure out my move out situation amongst other things 🥴
For now, I'm going to set up posts on a schedule for the rest of the month. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but for now, this is how things are going to go 👌
Hope y'all are taking care and partying it up this week 🕺🪩
As the days get colder I crave hot pots of Filipino food and rice more and more. Ginataang calabasa with butternut squash, with some sili or chilis hits the spot.
saw your tav/astarion au art in the tag and all i could think was “a filipino painted this. this color is too specific” and i was happy to see i’m right so hi lods 🥹🫶
When you make an OC whose redesign you haven't posted yet you and a friend make a seperate probably now canon form for them anyway and finish that first-
Some of you guys may remember Kalabasa, the son of Skeimar and Exodius in the old Fateswap AU.
He got imported over into Auros a while ago, and had a major change in both appearance and even hybrid species, becoming a tenrec/maned wolf hybrid.
And well, thx to conversations with @maareyas (who also made the sketch for this thank you so much) he now gained a were form thx to getting cursed by a druid he offended once-
The reason its only "Were" for now and not smth like "Werewolf" is simply because I am unsure of what to call it as since he isn't really transforming into any specific type of were creature, were wolf is just kinda the closest. And even then, taking the Werehog as an example, Sonic didn't exactly turned into a hedgehog times two, so who knows how Were naming conventions work.
While his actual main design isn't posted yet and I'm unsure when it will be, I hope you guys like him.

User @/lakwatsarah on Twitter, who helps run Gulay Drive:
[URGENT] Would anyone like to sponsor packs of gulays we can send to Filipino-Palestinian families today? I'm trying to raise at least 5,000 to send them 30 packs (15 pakbet/15 chopsuy) at PhP 150 each.
You can send sponsorships via gcash at 0917-877-7177 (SA**H KA*****A G.)
Ate Lynette needs to dispose 100 packs today so if we can get more sponsorships, we can purchase more and send to our other partner organizations. I will post accountability reports for Batch 2 and 3 (including this round) by this weekend (nabusy lang talaga sa work)

Halang-halang is a Bisaya spicy coconut chicken recipe that varies by location and even household, in the Visayas.
Some recipes strictly use ginger, others use sili or chilis, to achieve that perfect heat. Native neighborhood chickens are favored in most places, but feel free to work with what is available.
Substitute the chicken with mushrooms, tofu, or another plant-based protein for a healthier and heart-warming pot. Try making your Ginataang kalabasa a spicy veggie halang-halang-inspired soup by adding the tanglad or lemongrass, along with sili and luya or ginger.
Spicy coconut dishes are not only common in the Philippines (like Gising-gising & Bikol express), but with our Southeast Asia neighbors including Thailand’s Tom kha gai - Thai coconut chicken soup made with local spices and cilantro.
