I’m going to try and share my thoughts on this show tomorrow but the short version is this is one of the most extraordinary musicals I’ve ever seen. Michael Arden is a visionary. Every element, whether over the top (set design 🤯) or subtle as fuck (Clint Ramos weaves a narrative with weft, warp, and starch), is in the of service of story telling before anything else.
