Top 5 Motogp ships on ao3 during the last decade
I filtered each year from Jan 1st to December 31st. No other fics are included in each year's rank, only the ones posted during that calendar year.
'New' means that they were either new to any year's top 10 on ao3, or new to this list. If I included the plus minus, that means it was not new to the top ten, it just hadn't made the top 5 yet.

Discussion:
Since there were so little motogp fics in the first few years, some of the ships in the top 5 were there because of a single writer. So it does not always reflect the fandom's opinions of the ships. For example, all of the Alex/Dani and Alex/Jorge fics were written by the same person (at the time. There are new ones).
It also shows how a ship being popular for a short time can have lasting effects on the all-time rank. Maverick/Fabio being an example of this as they are still in the top 5 overall, despite only being in the top 5 of the yearly rank twice.

Pre-broadcast station commentary
Tumblr media
The next Broadcast Station will be held on the 21st, featuring Mayushii, Imai-san, Komachi, and Ruirui. The guest during the VOCALOID Music SEKAI segment this time will be Kairiki Bear.
Since April's limited event was a unit event, followed by MMJ WLE this month, that means there should be a permanent mixed event next month! There should only be one unit event, and it will be for either N25 or MMJ. I think it's far more likely for the event to be MMJ though, since Niigo currently have the highest 4* count in the game.
Now on mixed events. I don't think my Ena/Nene wedding prediction is likely anymore since that was written assuming that Miku would be lim on the An event. But she wasn't, and hasn't had a card since Minori5, and she now has an equal 4* count to Ena. Miku has consistently had a higher 4* count than everyone else, so unless clpl has given up on that, Ena is off the table. Unless MMJ Miku and Airi get lims, then Ena can still be the banner card, but I don't think it's that likely. I still think Nene is pretty likely though.
The perm and lim mixed event in June are both very hard to predict right now. I do think that one of them could very easily be Emu's 2nd mixed event, since she's the only character left to get one and her last mixed event was *checks calendar* November 2020. It also seems likely that a Leo/need member (probably Saki or Honami) will be on the June lim banner, since their WLE is scheduled to be the second event in July rather than the first for no apparent reason.

Tolkien Fandom Event Calendar
Recently I’ve received some asks about events/weeks in the Tolkien fandom, so I thought I’d compile a list of those that I know about. This is not exhaustive, and dates are subject to change by the organizers of these events!
Other blogs you can check out are @tolkieneventsblog and @tolkienfandomevents, though I’m not sure how active those are. The @silmarillionwritersguild Discord also has a channel dedicated to signal boosts for all sorts of Tolkien-related & general fandom happenings, which is another excellent way to keep up with fandom goings-on.
Want to run your own event? Here’s some of my tips!
If your event is not on here and you’d like it to be, let me know and I can add it :) Note: I will only add events that have announced dates!

The Yearly AA Series Future Speculation Post
I've given up on calling it aa7 speculation because that has never worked out for me. anyways [apollo justice voice] hiya!
It's been a while since I made one of these little posts where I try to predict things and end up horribly embarrassing myself. BUT this year has actually been very exciting for Ace Attorney. We have Ghost Trick! We have 456 ports! Could there be more? Who knows. Tokyo Game Show is coming up and that's always a bad time of year for my self-esteem.
In this post I will do the following:
-Go over the November 2020 leaks again, to compare that to where we're at now
-Talk a bit about the 456 port and what I think that means for the series and its future
-Talk a bit about how well TGAA is doing, I think
-Brief Tokyo Game Show speculations (there's not much to speculate about)
I'll reference my previous posts and sources where necessary. It'll get long and rambly again so I'll put the rest under a keep reading.
FIRST:
Revisiting the Calendar (Again)
For those who aren't aware, back in November 2020, Capcom got hacked (this was overall bad) and from that hack came a leak of a roadmap for the future of the AA series.
Tumblr media
For this post, please keep in mind that this calendar is using the Japanese fiscal year, which starts in in April. Therefore Q1 is roughly April-June, Q2 July-September, Q3 October-December, Q4 January-March of the next year.
This calendar was likely made in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, which inevitably ended up throwing everything off quite a bit.
Some of these things came true. This leak was where we first heard about the official TGAA ports, and while they were delayed by about a quarter, they still came out pretty close to on time with all things pandemic to consider. What's especially interesting is that now with confirmation of the 456 ports, we now have no idea what is up with AA7.
We know that AA7 was in development at one point. We know that, if things were on track prior to the pandemic, they might have started the main production. However, the plan seemed to be to release it for the 20th anniversary and use those sales and the sales from TGAA to judge whether 456 would be ported; now that we have 456 confirmed before AA7, we can assume that AA7's delay is so severe we have no way of predicting if or when it will come out.
The thing is, though, AA has been doing really well the last few years, despite the lack of a new game. The 2019 ports of the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy have sold around 2.3 million copies, when previously no other Ace Attorney game broke a million. The trilogy hit a million copies around December 2020, for reference. Ace Attorney itself as a whole broke ten million copies sold recently. In this post I covered how TGAA seemingly has sold way more than Capcom expected, and sold pretty quickly, and is confirmed to be somewhere between 500k-1 million copies sold.
I don't see any reason to believe that AA is in dire financial straits. We've gotten more official merchandise in the last year or so than we got for a while, AA is featured heavily on Capcom's Captown website, the Tokyo Game Show merchandise store has been selling out of AA merch faster than any of their other IPs... I don't see why they wouldn't want to milk that. And 456 is probably a part of it.
What Do The 456 Ports Mean
Back in March 2022, in an event I almost completely forgot about, Capcom updated their trademark for Apollo Justice. I covered my thoughts on that here, and speculated it might indicate a 456 port. ... Which it apparently did. I'll quote exactly what I said in that post, since I still feel this way:
Presumably, previously, the decision to port or not to port 456 would be dependent both on how well TGAA does and how well AA7 would do. With no AA7, they might be making this decision solely based on TGAA. And they… might actually decide it’s worth the port?
This tells us a couple of things.
1.Capcom is aware that there is a decent market and profit to be made porting the Ace Attorney games to all consoles.
2.This heavily implies that TGAA sold fantastically.
I also said in my post about TGAA's success that the 456 ports would be the best indicator of whether Capcom would find it more profitable to continue along with mainline or stick to writing more things about TGAA. Because TGAA is actually doing... pretty great? It's always seemed to have a pretty good fan reception, but it came at the end of the 3DS life cycle and seemed to do poorly enough that Capcom didn't try to localize it for several years. But now it's big enough that Ryunosuke made it onto the 20th anniversary logo, and Ryunosuke and Kazuma are featured in some of the Ace Attorney merchandise for TGS's merch store.
456 doing well would probably reinvigorate Capcom's desire to continue making stories set in mainline. It also might inspire them to finally give an official translation to my favorite game, Ace Attorney Investigations 2, who is Capcom's poor unloved child these days. I'm not expecting Investigations Ports for a few more years, since they seem to be spacing out the ports by about two years, but... it's more likely now than I felt it was about three years ago.
The Great Ace Attorney Sweep
Also, the last few years have had a heavy focus on Great Ace Attorney, even now a couple of years after the ports came out. Takarazuka made their first AA musical in a decade based on TGAA, and, if you ask me, it sounds pretty heavily like they were teasing for a sequel someday. There also has been a reading theater based on TGAA, with an original episode written by Takumi.
Of particular relevance is this source of dubious credibility I linked to in one of my other posts talking about TGAA's expected success. I've assumed it came from the data in the November 2020 Capcom Leak but I can't be certain, so take this next part with a grain of salt.
Here are the original sales projections from 2019(?): FY21: 195K (originally supposed to launch in Q1) FY22: 55K FY23: 8K FY24: 41K (with 32K being in Q3)
This sudden increase in FY24 has always been interesting. Again, as a reminder, Japan's FY24 Q3 would be equivalent to October-December 2024.
It would make sense to say that the 456 ports coming out would likely lead to an increase in sales for all AA games, and it could be that Capcom initially intended for a 456 port to come out about half a year later than the current projection of early 2024. At the same time... I can't deny the possibility that this could be hinting at a new game in the TGAA setting. And something coming out in late 2024 could be a reasonable candidate for an announcement at some major gaming show that Ace Attorney fans already have an interest in tuning into. These are all completely neutral things I am saying that I have no expectations or hope for whatsoever.
What IS Happening At Tokyo Game Show?
TGS is always the part of the year where I say "This is the most likely place for a new AA game announcement leading up to or during it" and it never happens. This year, though, will be different! We have a CONFIRMED feature of the 456 ports. This is the first time we'll have AA content at TGS since 2018, when I first got into the series, so I think it's a pretty big deal. (2018 was when the trilogy ports were first announced; TGAA ports had an announcement-release window of April-July, so they didn't get a chance to feature at TGS.)
Since all we have for a release date is early 2024, I wouldn't be surprised if there will be an official confirmation of the release date, probably a showcase of port features, maybe in-person gameplay? That could be all, and it would be more than we've had since 2018.
I want to say "because there's going to be 456 advertising there, it would be ridiculous for them to announce some new AA content to detract from that". But I said the same things about the capcom showcase where Ghost Trick was featured and the 456 collection was announced, so. Capcom's decisions on when to announce things can be counterintuitive, it seems, so maybe the least likely time is actually the most likely...?
Anyways, we have no idea what the state of New Ace Attorney Content is like in Capcom. From the calendar from the Nov 2020 leaks, the staff that had been working on the DGS ports would join the main staff for AA7, suggesting to me that there would be part of the staff working on ports and part of the staff working on new things. We have no idea what happened to these people who were supposed to be working on AA7. We *can* assume that at least part of the staff transferred over to 456 ports now, but we don't know when that would have been, or if they'd really need all hands on deck for a remaster.
It's been a few years now since Yamazaki left Capcom. We know absolutely nothing about what Takumi has been doing, outside of whatever contributions he may or may not have made to the Ghost Trick remaster, and only recently contributing to various stage content. (We know he advised at least somewhat on the Takarazuka play, and wrote that original episode for the reading theater, so I'd assume he's not in the middle of a big project right when those were taking place.)
This is all to say, there's reason to believe Something's Been Happening Behind The Scenes. And Therefore -- [clown wig descends onto my head again] Maybe TGS 2023 Will Be The Year Of New Ace Attorney Content. Since 456 will be taking the spotlight, I wouldn't expect anymore than a teaser, if it's happening at all.
And now that I've said it, it won't happen.
OVERALL
-TGS confirmed 456 port feature, which should be interesting to see what kind of quality of life features they'll add. Slight possibility there could be something else AA related teased there, solely because Capcom.
-I think TGAA is doing better than Capcom expected and I wouldn't be shocked if they tried to make a new game of it, or at least more extracanonical content like stage plays taking place in that timeline
-AA7 has seemingly vanished but I am sure it will come back when I least expect it.
-AAI ports someday. please. please. please.

Here's a few details regarding the timeline of the figure skaters AU. I hope this makes sense because I was going insane while thinking about this.
Tumblr media
The NQS are held from June to September. Then the sectionals for ice dance are in October, US Finals in November, and US Championships in January. These are based on the 2020 USFS qualifying structure*
Like I said, I am not American so I'm not familiar with how the school system works. Though I found that each semester lasts for 5 months. I saw that some schools open mid July so that's where I based Nevermore’s calendar:
1st Sem: July to December
2nd Sem: January to June
So for plot purposes, Tyler got injured in August and Enid transferred to Nevermore early September.
* the AU will use the 2019-2020 USFS season structure to make the story feasible later on. I'll explain why in another post

on recommendation from @judge-tenderly on the randomizer:
Dimension 20 by Calendar Day:
all D20 episodes in chronological order of the day they were released. Note: this list includes the episodes of fantasy high junior year that have yet to be released, for the sake of pattern matching, though they are not in the randomizer yet. this inflates the count for the Q1 months marginally, though it will be corrected by the time the season ends.
my fun observations:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the only days with multiple episodes are: january 9th, june 24th, september 21st, september 26th, and october 24th,
october, january, february, may, and september have the most episodes; this generally reflects sidequest overlap with main cast seasons, while the other months lean one way or the other.
it also shows where the main cast seasons tend to be: fantasy high began in september and ended in january, the unsleeping city began in july and ended in october, fantasy high sophomore year began in october and ended in april, a crown of candy began in may and ended in august, the unsleeping city chapter ii began in november and ended in march, a starstruck odyssey began in january and ended in may, neverafter began in november and ended in april, and fantasy high junior began in january and will end in may.
in other words, there's intrepid heroes season throughout the year, but most overlap between them happens in Q1 and Q4, with less overlap in Q2 and Q3.
this reflects the more recent patterns of Q4-Q1 releases, with seasons ending in Q2, when the sidequests start for the year. the earlier the season ends, the more sidequests there are for that year.
technically this pattern has only been in place since 2021--the year began with the remainder of the unsleeping city chapter ii, and had four sidequests. 2022 began with a starstruck odyssey, had 2 sidequests, and ended with neverafter. 2023 began with neverafter, and had four sidequests. now, in 2024, we're starting with fantasy high junior year, which will end two weeks later than starstruck.
fantasy high often ends up grouped together because of how freshman and sophomore year were released.
there's a couple instances in Q3-Q4 where there are sequences of 4 or more episodes with Aabria, either as a gm or player
2020 had three intrepid heroes seasons, which caused the high number from that year. after, the sidequests gave more of a buffer between seasons.
there's more, but it's all in the sheet. happy watching!

"Charles Leclerc has become the latest F1 driver to return to a racetrack following the easing of coronavirus lockdown measures, with the Ferrari driver spending a day karting in Italy as he prepares for Formula 1’s return in July.
Leclerc took to the South Garda Karting track – a staple of the European karting calendar, which rivals George Russell and Alex Albon also visited over the 2019-20 winter break – to spin some laps on Wednesday, with footage from the run livestreamed via Leclerc’s Twitch account.
“So good to be back on track!!” was the Monegasque’s simple message to his fans, while he also announced that he was planning to return to the circuit today (Thursday)."

This song is the second collaboration between SUGA/Agust D and IU, after “eight(에잇) (Prod.&Feat. SUGA of BTS)” released in May 2020.
The MV was filmed at South Cape (cr. btsmap1). They used one of the cliff houses for the part in the home and the music library for the part in the studio. During this first part, you can notice decorative fake books and a Danish springy-toy called Hoptimist (src). Thanks to Instagram stories from Nam Hyunwoo and the brand Entre d’eux, we know some of their products were in the bathroom: the nkumba flos or the verte grez hand wash as well as the bitter vitae hand cream.
The black dog appearing in the MV is Nam Hyunwoo’s, the director of photography who’s been working on pretty much every BTS MVs and CFs. Nam himself did a cameo in “The Astronaut” MV.
A Danish ARMY also caught sight of an Hoptimist, a little springy-toy designed by Danish designer Gustav Ehrenreich in 1968 (src).
Glitch Film
Release date: 14 April 2023
The film starts with a calendar from 2016, moving from January to August, passing July twice. The first Agust D mixtape was released on the 16 August, 2016.
The following part mixes extracts of the previous videos so “Agust D” MV, “give it to me” MV and “Daechwita” MV. There are also new elements that seems to relate to D-DAY, including a recorder, birds, dollar bills, and an eye. The video also connects the three human shapes to an MV:
rectangle shape: “Agust D” MV
spiky shape: “Daechwita” MV
particle shape: “give it to me” MV

The MV was filmed in Bangkok, notably in a place known as the thieves' market (src). The street scenes were filmed here (src), the hideout of criminal Agust D was here and the tangerine scene happened in a nearby street.
The team also used popular filming locations, namely this deserted building (src) already seen in Jeff Satur’s “Dum Dum” MV and in the Hidden messages video teasing Kinneporsche, as well as the sports complex Nightingale Rama Inthra Club (src) famous for being a shooting location of F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers. Director Lumpens shared his storyboard for the video on Instagram. MU:E did too (#1, #2, #3).
The dragon on SUGA's jacket is a symbol of royalty in Korea (src). It could a nod to "Daechwita" MV. Be it in the MV or in the choreography, SUGA is accompanied by 6 extra, reminding of the 6 other members of BTS.
Nam Hyunwoo, director of photography for all BTS MVs and some CFs, makes a cameo as a policeman in the background.
chloë and army film club noticed parallels between the MV and the movie Oldboy.

Thanks to the Episode, we know the video features the book The Logo Design Idea Book by Gail Andersen and Steven Heller, the issue 39 of Magazine B titled “Breville”, and the frontpage of two international editions of The New York Times, the one from the 17th of May 2022 and the other from the 16th of May 2022.
As for the filming location, it was at the basketball court of the Juam-dong Sports Park and in a street nearby.
@btswingsjm7 noticed that one of the shirt Agust D wears is from Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s collection, about the duality between one’s self image and the public preconceptions..
Tumblr media
During the scene in front of the 202 flat, we can see custom-made flyers with phone numbers that mix the digits of SUGA’s birthday (9th March, 1993). The flyers on the door advertise delivery for Korean chicken, food and Hit Shopping products, with special promotions for Chuseok (Hit Shopping could be a nod to Big Hit). The flyer on the whole is for internet contracts and the one below is for a washing service. Concerning the little stickers they’re all locksmiths’ name and phone number.

Have you decided on a birthday for your character? Vividatt's birthday is the 20th of the season Zephyr. He met Taimi the day after his birthday. He fought Ryland with Kas and Braham in Icebrood Saga Episode Champions: Power: Jormag's World, where the Owl's spirit sacrificed herself for the others, and this happened the day before his birthday. He was about to be 28.
Taimi is said to have been born in late spring or early summer. I just wish they'd give them actual birthdays.

2022 Movie Odyssey
Well, it’s another record set for the the latest date that this list has ever appeared. As per tradition on this blog, this is the complete list of films I saw for the first time in their entirety over the last calendar year. They are listed in the order of completion and with a respective rating out of ten from me. Each rating (my ratings system and eligibility rules are explained here) is based on my personal imdb rating. All half-points are rounded down.
March was defined entirely by my blog’s annual 31 Days of Oscar marathon (in which I limit myself to watching films nominated for an Academy Award or Honorary Academy Award winning films). June and early July were defined almost entirely by viewing submissions for Viet Film Fest - which contributed heavily to the amount of short films (one will notice tons of MGM short films and Popeye as well; the latter I believe I will be completing later in 2023) seen this year.
In sum, I saw 207 films that were new to me in 2021 (a sharp decline from 329 in 2021). 116 of those were features (films defined as forty-one minutes or longer); 91 were short films (forty minutes or shorter). My yearly goal to watch more pre-1980 films than 1980 and after - so as to ensure that I my viewing habits are well-rounded, chronologically - failed for the first time in at least eleven years. Among features, I saw six more features released 1980 and after. Adding both features and shorts, the deficit was nineteen. My professional situation in the second half of the year did not help matters.

Bunch'a World Facts
So because I'm an idiot and only just now realized that you guys probably think me setting Anthony's birthday as "13/02" was a mistake or that it meant February 13th... it doesn't. Plus, the fact that I said the date of Adolescence's death was "November 1st, 3475". Lemme do a lil' bit of a dive. You can ignore this if you want but it does give a lot of context. The facts are under the cut because this is a long post
1) The year is indeed, 3475. This is because this is faaaar in the future. Things have barely advanced in technology. There's still no flying cars, because the real humans wiped themselves out over the span of 2020 - 3049. There's only this huge piece of land + A small amount of islands left. The rest is underwater and everyone speculates, making a whole spectacle of it. There are a lot of species of humanoids now, but namely what can be called "Neo-Humans" 2) There are very few countries left because the two main gods tried to remake the world with what land was left. (I imagine the conversation went something like; "Hey hon... what the FUCK IS THIS?" "What?" "WHY IS RUSSIA NEAR THE BOTTOM?" "Is... I-Isn't Russia always near the bottom...?" "LIFE, BABY, RUSSIA WAS THE BIGGEST, ALMOST TOPMOST COUNTRY-") I'll have a map made soon. 3) Every species ages weirdly as hell now. Neo-Humans age regularly... until they reach age 20. Every five years after age 20, is an actual physical year older. Take Brian. He's physically 32. In a calendarly sense or whatever the hell... he's 80 years old. So Tyler, the oldest, would be 95 years old, even though physically he's 35. So on and so forth. 4) The calendar is a 13 month calendar, dubbed the SAOL calendar. Saol is the Irish word for "Sun". Each month is 28 days/4 weeks. The months in order are January, February, March, April, May, June, SOL (the new month), July, August, September, October, November, December. It takes a slight bit to get used to seeing, but that's how this goes. 5) Holidays have moved, been changed, or been added. In order, we have; - Aquarius season, January 15th - February 14th. The festival lasts three days at the start of the season, January 15th - 17th - Valentine's Day, February 14th - Pisces season, February 15th - March 14th. Festival dates being February 15th - 17th - Aries season, March 15th - April 14th. Festival dates being March 15th - 17th - Saints Day, formerly Saint Patrick's Day, which is to commemorate any of the gods you'd like, March 17th - Easter, which lasts for two days, April 1st - 2nd - Taurus season, April 15th - May 14th. Festival dates being April 15th - 17th - Mother's Day, May 12th - Gemini season, May 15th - June 14th. Festival dates being May 15th - 17th - The entirety of June is Pride Month - Father's Day, June 12th - Cancer season, which starts on June 15th, is paused for the whole "Sun Month" (Sol), and resumes from July 1st - July 14th. Festival dates being June 15th - 17th - The Sun Festival, which is two weeks to commemorate the Sun Goddess and the Solar Eclipse God, Sol 8th - 21st - Leo season, July 15th - August 14th. Festival dates being July 15th - 17th - Virgo season, August 15th - September 14th. Festival dates being August 15th - 17th - Libra season, September 15th - October 14th. Festival dates being September 15th - 17th - Scorpio season, October 15th - November 14th. Festival dates being October 15th - 17th - Halloween, October 28th - Sagittarius season, November 15th - December 14th. Festival dates being November 15th - 17th - Thanksgiving, November 19th - The Moon Festival, which is two weeks to commemorate the Moon Goddess (Wife of the Sun Goddess) and the Lunar Eclipse God (Twin brother to the Solar Eclipse God), December 8th - 21st - Capricorn season, December 15th - January 14th. Festival dates being December 15th - 17th - Christmas Eve, December 24th - Christmas Day, December 25th - New Year's Passover, December 28th - January 1st To those of you who genuinely read this far, I appreciate you all so, so much

These guidelines mandated that algorithmic traders must have adequate risk control mechanisms, infrastructure, and qualified personnel in place. The objective was to ensure that trading practices were not only efficient but also secure and fair.
September 2012:
SEBI introduced co-location norms to enhance transparency in high-frequency trading by ensuring that all market participants have equitable access to trading infrastructure.
Enhancing Risk Management (2014-2016)

Regulations were established to govern direct market access, ensuring that brokers had appropriate controls in place for clients using DMA.

March 2020:
SEBI issued a circular that significantly enhanced the regulatory framework by mandating:
- Testing and certification of algorithms by SEBI-registered agencies.
- Maintenance of detailed audit trails and logs of algorithmic trading activities.
- Real-time monitoring of algorithmic trades to ensure compliance with risk management protocols.

- The requirement to maintain a minimum 12-month trading period has been eliminated.
- Clear price limits for trades have been set, specifying an upper price limit for buy trades and a lower price limit for sell trades.
- Deviations from trading plans are now allowed only in exceptional cases, such as permanent incapacity, bankruptcy, or operation of law.

CBOT soybean futures gain on drop in US crop ratings, hot weather CHICAGO, June 18 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures turned higher on Tuesday, reversing direction after a two-day slide, as investors tracked a heat wave moving across the eastern Corn Belt after the government reported a decline in U.S. crop ratings. After the market closed on Monday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture rated 70% of the soybean crop as good to excellent in its weekly crop progress report, down from 72% the previous week but still the highest for the reported calendar week since 2020. A heat wave in the U.S. Midwest this week is raising concerns about the eastern Corn Belt's corn and soy crop, though the timing of the heat wave is expected to have limited impact on plants still in the vegetative growth stage, agronomists said. CBOT July soybeans SN24 ended up 12-1/4 cents at $11.74 a bushel. CBOT July soymeal SMN24 closed $4.30 higher at $364.60 per short ton. CBOT July soyoil BON24 finished 0.57 cent higher at 44.30 cents per pound. The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) on Monday said its members crushed 183.625 million bushels of soybeans in May, up 8.4% from April and up 3.2% from the same month a year ago. The crush figure topped most trade estimates.
