Know your Destiel/Cockles history: a calendar
As a newcomer on Tumblr and on the Supernatural fandom, I first had trouble following all the past events that were regularly reminded and celebrated.
On this very special day (December 14th, European time), the following post is an attempt at listing those events, focusing on Destiel and Cockles (with a hint of Jenmisheel). Feel free to advise me for more (or less) dates!
Acknowledgement: The idea came from @youchangedmedestiel who also contributed to the content. The present post would never have been possible without @livebloggingmydescentintomadness 's Cockles masterlist. Color code: Destiel / Cockles

My 2024 Art Year in Review!
My main goal this year was to do a bit more than I had in '23, and happily, I did manage that!
24 pieces done, most of them full pieces. 78 individuals. Contributed to several big projects this year (one of which isn't even on here, because we can't show the art yet). As it is, some of these are fudged a little with respect to when I finished them, but largely they correspond to when I did a lot of work on them. I only have one month where I had to put in a photograph instead, as I didn't have a finished drawing for that month; but I think that's because I was working on something else that got completed later.
I hope I can keep the streak going in the coming year, although there's going to be some challenges to my free time; so, we'll see.
Links below the cut.

Top 5 Motogp ships on ao3 during the last decade
I filtered each year from Jan 1st to December 31st. No other fics are included in each year's rank, only the ones posted during that calendar year.
'New' means that they were either new to any year's top 10 on ao3, or new to this list. If I included the plus minus, that means it was not new to the top ten, it just hadn't made the top 5 yet.

Discussion:
Since there were so little motogp fics in the first few years, some of the ships in the top 5 were there because of a single writer. So it does not always reflect the fandom's opinions of the ships. For example, all of the Alex/Dani and Alex/Jorge fics were written by the same person (at the time. There are new ones).
It also shows how a ship being popular for a short time can have lasting effects on the all-time rank. Maverick/Fabio being an example of this as they are still in the top 5 overall, despite only being in the top 5 of the yearly rank twice.
#rosquez took an absolute beating after sepang 2015#nothing but Ls for AGES#2016 was the year that everyone decided that jorge needed bitches#idk why i made this but i had fun#motogp#not museum tag#motogp ship stats#motogp rpf#ao3

It's been 10 years since I first watched Frozen!🌻❄️⛏️☃️🦌
(Swedish DVD-copy of Frozen)
November 20th, 2014. It seems like forever ago. I remember watching this movie through my desktop ASUS PC (remember when computers used to have actual DVD-drives?) on a by today's standards pretty crappy Philips monitor. It didn't matter. The movie was like nothing else I had seen before. Even though I don't even have a sibling and can't fully relate to the conflict, Anna and Elsa's adventure is IMO one of the best stories ever told💕
I was 22 back then. A young man and totally in love with this Disney movie. Now I'm 32 and it continues to be among my favourite movies of all time. Even now, ten years later, I still live and breathe Frozen every day! It is a part of who I became and it is the way I wish to remain 😄
I have become a devoted fan of all things Frozen and I'm trying my best to be a part-time Frozen-analyst, mapmaker, worldbuilder and collector. I'm also known for using too many emotes and exclamation marks!
Below, I have tried to summarise some important and meaningful keepsakes and events from the past ten years. I hope you enjoy scrolling!✨✨✨
I believe this was the first ever Frozen-related pic that I saved (it's the oldest in my album) (April 2015)
I was equally in love with the OUAT Frozen arc and no one can tell me Georgina and Elizabeth were anything but perfect for their roles (April 2015)
🥹🥹🥹
(March 2015)
In just a couple of years we saw the franchise grow (did anyone else prefer the original logo for the musical?) (February 2016)
The official announcement we'd all been waiting for (April 2017)
The architect in me loved the castle! (2017)
I mean, who could ever forget this moment? (December 2018)
AJHFSJASJFKAGKJFGSKFDSGSJF!?!?!?!?!?!? (February 2019)
What are those????? (February 2019)
My first piece of "big" Frozen merch (April 2019)
I made a custom calendar just to count down the remaining days to Frozen II (I also avoided spoilers for the last 6 1/2 months) (December 2019)
🥹🥰😭
(December 2019)
Perfectly balanced, as it should be (February 2020)
Me collecting stuff! (February 2020)
Me going crazy saving as much Frozen content as possible 😅 (August 2020)
I joined r/Frozen (June 2021)
I started my deep-dive into Arendelle's geography in 2021 which ultimately lead to "An odyssey through Frozen geography", the first of many fandom projects! (July 2021)
Together with a group of equally dedicated Frozen nerds fans, I helped building the @arendelle-archives server and later tumblr-blog! (2021)
Collecting more things! (October 2021)
A Frozen comic writer responded to my reddit post?😲(December 2021)
I started developing ideas for a Frozen fanfic (2022)
Frozen III-announcement! Finally! (February 2023)
My Norway-trip of 2023. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful destinations on Earth and a must-go for anyone who wants to visit the real Arendelle!!! (July 2023)
I continue to delve into more map-related stuff in Wonderdraft (May 2024)
Together with the rest of the wonderful folks over at @frozen10fanzine, I helped create and design a fanzine summarising the memories of Frozen fans from the past decade! (July 2024)
A slice of my current Frozen collection! Some figures were very kindly donated to me by @yumeka-sxf 🙌 (July 2024)
And lastly, from today: the first snow of the season❄️🩵
If you made it this far, thank you for scrolling😅
Finally, a little shout-out to friends and acquaintances I've made through the likes of reddit, discord and tumblr in the past few years:
@bigfrozenfan @yumeka-sxf @greatqueenanna @queenritaofarendelle @saiten-gefroren @snowflaketale12 @cloudberriesforaqueen @theartoffrozen @secretsofthestorymakers
A big thank you also to the whole @arendelle-archives and @frozen10fanzine - teams! Y'all continue to inspire me!

Pre-broadcast station commentary
The next Broadcast Station will be held on the 21st, featuring Mayushii, Imai-san, Komachi, and Ruirui. The guest during the VOCALOID Music SEKAI segment this time will be Kairiki Bear.
Since April's limited event was a unit event, followed by MMJ WLE this month, that means there should be a permanent mixed event next month! There should only be one unit event, and it will be for either N25 or MMJ. I think it's far more likely for the event to be MMJ though, since Niigo currently have the highest 4* count in the game.
Now on mixed events. I don't think my Ena/Nene wedding prediction is likely anymore since that was written assuming that Miku would be lim on the An event. But she wasn't, and hasn't had a card since Minori5, and she now has an equal 4* count to Ena. Miku has consistently had a higher 4* count than everyone else, so unless clpl has given up on that, Ena is off the table. Unless MMJ Miku and Airi get lims, then Ena can still be the banner card, but I don't think it's that likely. I still think Nene is pretty likely though.
The perm and lim mixed event in June are both very hard to predict right now. I do think that one of them could very easily be Emu's 2nd mixed event, since she's the only character left to get one and her last mixed event was *checks calendar* November 2020. It also seems likely that a Leo/need member (probably Saki or Honami) will be on the June lim banner, since their WLE is scheduled to be the second event in July rather than the first for no apparent reason.

Mega Man franchise (near) complete anniversary calendar
Since I couldn't find this anywhere else online (Seriously! Why doesn't this exist!), here's a mostly complete collection of the release dates of every single megaman franchise game and some extras. I've tried to keep it to one line per game where feasible but this has led to some abbreviations such as "PS1" instead of "Playstation".
This calendar will always count the earliest release region and platform and for dual release games I've not included the subtitles as some of the listings would get very long.
Mega Man Battle network legacy collections 1&2 both released for PS4 but since they are digital only, this effectively acts as being released for both PS4 AND 5 so I listed 5 as I feel it's the more relevant choice.
If I've missed any games please comment to let me know :D (or if I've made any mistakes! I've already fixed some things based on feedback!), I was going to include all the manga series too as those particularly interested me but it was too difficult to track them all down with dates so I haven't bothered but I can always come back in future to edit this, if anyone knows about them: please send me a DM!. I may also add the Mega Man complete works artbooks at some point too, but I can't be bothered researching that rn. If you REALLY want them on the timeline, comment or DM.
If any wiki resource or anything wants to use this feel free but please for the love of god fact check it please, as I write this sentence it is 1am and I very may well have written something wrong or used a source that has incorrect information.
If anyone wants this formatted like a regular hangup calendar, let me know and I'll consult the graphic design department (Don't worry @faustisgettingviolent I'm not talking about you)
*I speculate this one was released around October 21st 1994 due to the fact that it came very near the release of Mega Man The Wily Wars. As both games acted as a sort of campaign to introduce sega players to Mega Man it's likely they were intended to release around the same time, however the wily wars never saw a physical American release. If anyone has a source for the game gear games original release date please do let me know.
Comment if you share a birthday with a piece of Mega Man media.

The Yearly AA Series Future Speculation Post
I've given up on calling it aa7 speculation because that has never worked out for me. anyways [apollo justice voice] hiya!
It's been a while since I made one of these little posts where I try to predict things and end up horribly embarrassing myself. BUT this year has actually been very exciting for Ace Attorney. We have Ghost Trick! We have 456 ports! Could there be more? Who knows. Tokyo Game Show is coming up and that's always a bad time of year for my self-esteem.
In this post I will do the following:
-Go over the November 2020 leaks again, to compare that to where we're at now
-Talk a bit about the 456 port and what I think that means for the series and its future
-Talk a bit about how well TGAA is doing, I think
-Brief Tokyo Game Show speculations (there's not much to speculate about)
I'll reference my previous posts and sources where necessary. It'll get long and rambly again so I'll put the rest under a keep reading.
FIRST:
Revisiting the Calendar (Again)
For those who aren't aware, back in November 2020, Capcom got hacked (this was overall bad) and from that hack came a leak of a roadmap for the future of the AA series.
For this post, please keep in mind that this calendar is using the Japanese fiscal year, which starts in in April. Therefore Q1 is roughly April-June, Q2 July-September, Q3 October-December, Q4 January-March of the next year.
This calendar was likely made in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, which inevitably ended up throwing everything off quite a bit.
Some of these things came true. This leak was where we first heard about the official TGAA ports, and while they were delayed by about a quarter, they still came out pretty close to on time with all things pandemic to consider. What's especially interesting is that now with confirmation of the 456 ports, we now have no idea what is up with AA7.
We know that AA7 was in development at one point. We know that, if things were on track prior to the pandemic, they might have started the main production. However, the plan seemed to be to release it for the 20th anniversary and use those sales and the sales from TGAA to judge whether 456 would be ported; now that we have 456 confirmed before AA7, we can assume that AA7's delay is so severe we have no way of predicting if or when it will come out.
The thing is, though, AA has been doing really well the last few years, despite the lack of a new game. The 2019 ports of the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy have sold around 2.3 million copies, when previously no other Ace Attorney game broke a million. The trilogy hit a million copies around December 2020, for reference. Ace Attorney itself as a whole broke ten million copies sold recently. In this post I covered how TGAA seemingly has sold way more than Capcom expected, and sold pretty quickly, and is confirmed to be somewhere between 500k-1 million copies sold.
I don't see any reason to believe that AA is in dire financial straits. We've gotten more official merchandise in the last year or so than we got for a while, AA is featured heavily on Capcom's Captown website, the Tokyo Game Show merchandise store has been selling out of AA merch faster than any of their other IPs... I don't see why they wouldn't want to milk that. And 456 is probably a part of it.
What Do The 456 Ports Mean
Back in March 2022, in an event I almost completely forgot about, Capcom updated their trademark for Apollo Justice. I covered my thoughts on that here, and speculated it might indicate a 456 port. ... Which it apparently did. I'll quote exactly what I said in that post, since I still feel this way:
Presumably, previously, the decision to port or not to port 456 would be dependent both on how well TGAA does and how well AA7 would do. With no AA7, they might be making this decision solely based on TGAA. And they… might actually decide it’s worth the port?
This tells us a couple of things.
1.Capcom is aware that there is a decent market and profit to be made porting the Ace Attorney games to all consoles.
2.This heavily implies that TGAA sold fantastically.
I also said in my post about TGAA's success that the 456 ports would be the best indicator of whether Capcom would find it more profitable to continue along with mainline or stick to writing more things about TGAA. Because TGAA is actually doing... pretty great? It's always seemed to have a pretty good fan reception, but it came at the end of the 3DS life cycle and seemed to do poorly enough that Capcom didn't try to localize it for several years. But now it's big enough that Ryunosuke made it onto the 20th anniversary logo, and Ryunosuke and Kazuma are featured in some of the Ace Attorney merchandise for TGS's merch store.
456 doing well would probably reinvigorate Capcom's desire to continue making stories set in mainline. It also might inspire them to finally give an official translation to my favorite game, Ace Attorney Investigations 2, who is Capcom's poor unloved child these days. I'm not expecting Investigations Ports for a few more years, since they seem to be spacing out the ports by about two years, but... it's more likely now than I felt it was about three years ago.
The Great Ace Attorney Sweep
Also, the last few years have had a heavy focus on Great Ace Attorney, even now a couple of years after the ports came out. Takarazuka made their first AA musical in a decade based on TGAA, and, if you ask me, it sounds pretty heavily like they were teasing for a sequel someday. There also has been a reading theater based on TGAA, with an original episode written by Takumi.
Of particular relevance is this source of dubious credibility I linked to in one of my other posts talking about TGAA's expected success. I've assumed it came from the data in the November 2020 Capcom Leak but I can't be certain, so take this next part with a grain of salt.
Here are the original sales projections from 2019(?): FY21: 195K (originally supposed to launch in Q1) FY22: 55K FY23: 8K FY24: 41K (with 32K being in Q3)
This sudden increase in FY24 has always been interesting. Again, as a reminder, Japan's FY24 Q3 would be equivalent to October-December 2024.
It would make sense to say that the 456 ports coming out would likely lead to an increase in sales for all AA games, and it could be that Capcom initially intended for a 456 port to come out about half a year later than the current projection of early 2024. At the same time... I can't deny the possibility that this could be hinting at a new game in the TGAA setting. And something coming out in late 2024 could be a reasonable candidate for an announcement at some major gaming show that Ace Attorney fans already have an interest in tuning into. These are all completely neutral things I am saying that I have no expectations or hope for whatsoever.
What IS Happening At Tokyo Game Show?
TGS is always the part of the year where I say "This is the most likely place for a new AA game announcement leading up to or during it" and it never happens. This year, though, will be different! We have a CONFIRMED feature of the 456 ports. This is the first time we'll have AA content at TGS since 2018, when I first got into the series, so I think it's a pretty big deal. (2018 was when the trilogy ports were first announced; TGAA ports had an announcement-release window of April-July, so they didn't get a chance to feature at TGS.)
Since all we have for a release date is early 2024, I wouldn't be surprised if there will be an official confirmation of the release date, probably a showcase of port features, maybe in-person gameplay? That could be all, and it would be more than we've had since 2018.
I want to say "because there's going to be 456 advertising there, it would be ridiculous for them to announce some new AA content to detract from that". But I said the same things about the capcom showcase where Ghost Trick was featured and the 456 collection was announced, so. Capcom's decisions on when to announce things can be counterintuitive, it seems, so maybe the least likely time is actually the most likely...?
Anyways, we have no idea what the state of New Ace Attorney Content is like in Capcom. From the calendar from the Nov 2020 leaks, the staff that had been working on the DGS ports would join the main staff for AA7, suggesting to me that there would be part of the staff working on ports and part of the staff working on new things. We have no idea what happened to these people who were supposed to be working on AA7. We *can* assume that at least part of the staff transferred over to 456 ports now, but we don't know when that would have been, or if they'd really need all hands on deck for a remaster.
It's been a few years now since Yamazaki left Capcom. We know absolutely nothing about what Takumi has been doing, outside of whatever contributions he may or may not have made to the Ghost Trick remaster, and only recently contributing to various stage content. (We know he advised at least somewhat on the Takarazuka play, and wrote that original episode for the reading theater, so I'd assume he's not in the middle of a big project right when those were taking place.)
This is all to say, there's reason to believe Something's Been Happening Behind The Scenes. And Therefore -- [clown wig descends onto my head again] Maybe TGS 2023 Will Be The Year Of New Ace Attorney Content. Since 456 will be taking the spotlight, I wouldn't expect anymore than a teaser, if it's happening at all.
And now that I've said it, it won't happen.
OVERALL
-TGS confirmed 456 port feature, which should be interesting to see what kind of quality of life features they'll add. Slight possibility there could be something else AA related teased there, solely because Capcom.
-I think TGAA is doing better than Capcom expected and I wouldn't be shocked if they tried to make a new game of it, or at least more extracanonical content like stage plays taking place in that timeline
-AA7 has seemingly vanished but I am sure it will come back when I least expect it.
-AAI ports someday. please. please. please.
#ace attorney#aa7 speculation#[banging pots and pans together] YEAR 3 OF FAILED PREDICTIONS LET'S GIVE IT UP FOR YEAR 3#there's not much to say here I just wanted to get something out as we're heading into september#do I even want aa7 anymore? no. am I speculating anyways? yes.

Here's a few details regarding the timeline of the figure skaters AU. I hope this makes sense because I was going insane while thinking about this.
The NQS are held from June to September. Then the sectionals for ice dance are in October, US Finals in November, and US Championships in January. These are based on the 2020 USFS qualifying structure*
Like I said, I am not American so I'm not familiar with how the school system works. Though I found that each semester lasts for 5 months. I saw that some schools open mid July so that's where I based Nevermore’s calendar:
1st Sem: July to December
2nd Sem: January to June
So for plot purposes, Tyler got injured in August and Enid transferred to Nevermore early September.
* the AU will use the 2019-2020 USFS season structure to make the story feasible later on. I'll explain why in another post

Leclerc took to the South Garda Karting track – a staple of the European karting calendar, which rivals George Russell and Alex Albon also visited over the 2019-20 winter break – to spin some laps on Wednesday, with footage from the run livestreamed via Leclerc’s Twitch account.
“So good to be back on track!!” was the Monegasque’s simple message to his fans, while he also announced that he was planning to return to the circuit today (Thursday)."

This song is the second collaboration between SUGA/Agust D and IU, after “eight(에잇) (Prod.&Feat. SUGA of BTS)” released in May 2020.
The MV was filmed at South Cape (cr. btsmap1). They used one of the cliff houses for the part in the home and the music library for the part in the studio. During this first part, you can notice decorative fake books and a Danish springy-toy called Hoptimist (src). Thanks to Instagram stories from Nam Hyunwoo and the brand Entre d’eux, we know some of their products were in the bathroom: the nkumba flos or the verte grez hand wash as well as the bitter vitae hand cream.
The black dog appearing in the MV is Nam Hyunwoo’s, the director of photography who’s been working on pretty much every BTS MVs and CFs. Nam himself did a cameo in “The Astronaut” MV.
A Danish ARMY also caught sight of an Hoptimist, a little springy-toy designed by Danish designer Gustav Ehrenreich in 1968 (src).
Glitch Film
Release date: 14 April 2023
The film starts with a calendar from 2016, moving from January to August, passing July twice. The first Agust D mixtape was released on the 16 August, 2016.
The following part mixes extracts of the previous videos so “Agust D” MV, “give it to me” MV and “Daechwita” MV. There are also new elements that seems to relate to D-DAY, including a recorder, birds, dollar bills, and an eye. The video also connects the three human shapes to an MV:

The MV was filmed in Bangkok, notably in a place known as the thieves' market (src). The street scenes were filmed here (src), the hideout of criminal Agust D was here and the tangerine scene happened in a nearby street.
The team also used popular filming locations, namely this deserted building (src) already seen in Jeff Satur’s “Dum Dum” MV and in the Hidden messages video teasing Kinneporsche, as well as the sports complex Nightingale Rama Inthra Club (src) famous for being a shooting location of F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers. Director Lumpens shared his storyboard for the video on Instagram. MU:E did too (#1, #2, #3).
The dragon on SUGA's jacket is a symbol of royalty in Korea (src). It could a nod to "Daechwita" MV. Be it in the MV or in the choreography, SUGA is accompanied by 6 extra, reminding of the 6 other members of BTS.
Nam Hyunwoo, director of photography for all BTS MVs and some CFs, makes a cameo as a policeman in the background.

As for the filming location, it was at the basketball court of the Juam-dong Sports Park and in a street nearby.
@btswingsjm7 noticed that one of the shirt Agust D wears is from Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s collection, about the duality between one’s self image and the public preconceptions..
During the scene in front of the 202 flat, we can see custom-made flyers with phone numbers that mix the digits of SUGA’s birthday (9th March, 1993). The flyers on the door advertise delivery for Korean chicken, food and Hit Shopping products, with special promotions for Chuseok (Hit Shopping could be a nod to Big Hit). The flyer on the whole is for internet contracts and the one below is for a washing service. Concerning the little stickers they’re all locksmiths’ name and phone number.

[ad_1] In spite of numerous COP’s ( UN conferences on Climate Change) where pledges were made to keep the human-induced global warming below 1.5°C ,pre industrial level, in accordance with Paris agreement-2015 ( COP21), Human-induced climate change remains the primary driver of extreme air and sea surface temperatures. 2024 is confirmed by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) to be the first calendar year that the average global temperature exceeded 1.5°C above its pre-industrial level. C3S is implemented on behalf of the European Commission by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), whose scientists have been monitoring key climate indicators, and documenting unprecedented daily, monthly, and annualtemperature records over 2024. The following organisations involved in global climate monitoring – ECMWF, NASA, NOAA, the UK Met Office, Berkeley Earth and the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), have made a concerted effort to coordinate the release of their data, highlighting the exceptional conditions experienced during 2024. Global surface air temperature highlights: 2024 was the warmest year in global temperature records going back to 1850. According to ERA5 (1), the global average temperature of 15.10°C was 0.72°C above the 1991-2020 average, and 0.12°C above 2023, the previous warmest year on record. This is equivalent to 1.60°C above an estimate of the 1850-1900 temperature designated to be the pre-industriallevel. 2024 is the first calendar year that has reached more than 1.5°C above the pre-industrial level. Each of the past 10 years (2015–2024) was one of the 10 warmest years on record. The monthly global average temperature exceeded 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels for 11 months of the year. Going back further, all months since July 2023, except for July 2024, have exceeded the 1.5°C level. A new record high for daily global average temperature was reached on 22 July 2024, at 17.16°C. 2024 was the warmest year for all continental regions, except Antarctica and Australasia (2), as well as for sizeable parts of the ocean, particularly the North Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and the western Pacific Ocean. 2024 saw three record-warm seasons for the corresponding time of the year: boreal winter (December 2023-February 2024), boreal spring (March-May) and boreal summer (June-August) at 0.78°C, 0.68°C and 0.69°C respectively above the 1991-2020 average. Each month from January to June 2024 was warmer than the corresponding month in any previous year on record. Each month from July to December, except August, was each the second warmest, after 2023, for the time of year. August 2024 was tied with August 2023 as the warmest on record. Carlo Buontempo, Director of the Copernicus Climate Change Service, ECMWF comments: “All of the internationally produced global temperature datasets show that 2024 was the hottest year since records began in 1850. Humanity is in charge of its own destiny but how we respond to the climate challenge should be based on evidence. The future is in our hands – swift and decisive action can still alter the trajectory of our future climate.” Ocean surface temperature highlights: In 2024, the annual average sea surface temperature (SST) over the extra-polar ocean reached a record high of 20.87°C, 0.51°C above the 1991–2020 average. The average extra-polar SST was at record high levels for the time of year from January to June 2024, continuing the streak of record months seen in the second half of 2023. From July to December 2024, the SST was the second warmest on record for the time of year, after 2023. Samantha Burgess, Strategic Lead for Climate, ECMWF comments: “Each year in the last decade is one of the ten warmest on record. We are now teetering on the edge of passing the 1.5ºC level defined in the Paris Agreement and the average of the last two years is already above this level. These high global
temperatures, coupled with record global atmospheric water vapour levels in 2024, meant unprecedented heatwaves and heavy rainfall events, causing misery for millions of people.” Other highlights include: The total amount of water vapour in the atmosphere reached a record value in 2024, at about 5% above the 1991–2020 average, according to ERA5, more than 1% higher than in 2016 and 2023, the years with the previous highest and second highest values, respectively. Extreme temperatures and high humidity contribute to increased levels of heat stress. Much of the Northern Hemisphere experienced more days than average with at least ‘strong heat stress’ during 2024, and some areas saw more days than average with ‘extreme heat stress’. In 2024, the area of the globe affected by at least ‘strong heat stress’ reached a new record annual maximum on 10 July, when around 44% of the globe was affected by ‘strong’ to ‘extreme heat stress’. This is 5% more of the globe compared to the average annual maximum. Around Antarctica, after reaching record-low values for the time of year during eight months of 2023, the sea ice extent reached record or near-record low values again during a large part of 2024. From June to October, the monthly extent ranked second lowest, behind 2023 and lowest in November. At its annual minimum in February, the monthly extent ranked third lowest in the satellite record. In the Arctic, the sea ice extent was relatively close to its 1991–2020 average until July but fell well below average in the following months. At its annual minimum in September, the monthly extent ranked fifth lowest in the satellite record. The atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide and methane continued to increase and reached record annual levels in 2024, at 422 parts per million (ppm) and 1897 parts per billion (ppb) respectively. Carbon dioxide concentrations in 2024 were 2.9 ppm higher than in 2023, whereas methane concentrations were 3 ppb higher.
Well pardon us all to hell!
Does Trump want to rip the bandage off? If history keeps happening, we’ll need to circle every day on the calendar in red. Americans know what happened on 9/11 as well as July 4. June 6 is remembered as D-Day; October 6 for Israel’s nightmare. December 7 is a day that will live in infamy. So will January 6. Has it really been four years that Donald Trump, lying about losing the 2020 election,…
