Alpin is part of the northern Mitchell clan. As a teen, he was hired to serve as Olive Anderson’s personal guard. The Mitchell clan is well known for their strong builds and brute force abilities. After Olive’s ascension to the newly formed throne, she offers Alpin the honor of serving her for life. He is also offered the chance for his bloodline to serve the kingdom in the high role of personal guardsmen to the heirs. He jumps at the opportunity, taking great pride in his new role. Alpin is also one of the first servant of the Avis kingdom to receive the pink horn seal on his face, marking him as part of the Avis kingdom. He, unlike lesser ranked servants, sees this as a point of pride rather than humiliation. He trains during any downtime he is given, often finding himself assisting Olive and later Rohan in sharpening their skills.

28 Weeks

My glucose was 161 after the hour test so I failed 😩 I'll be doing the 3 hour long test either later this week or next week. My OB says he doesn't think ill have gestational diabetes since it wasn't super high and by my other test results, along with me not having any symptoms.

I'm a little disappointed because I don't wanna do it again 😂 I've never had to do the 3 hour test and it sounds like a nightmare to do with both the kids.

After all the complications with this pregnancy I really hope I don't have it because this kid really loves sweets and I might just not survive 😂

Also, Im O- and have had multiple doses of Rhogam due to all the bleeding. After you get Rhogam you have antibodies from it which can also appear if babies antibodies mix with yours. If that happens you can have complications with further pregnancies. Were not sure if well ever have more pregnancies but we still wanted to be clear for it. My testing yesterday came back negative for antibodies so that means babies antibodies didn't affect me which is such a relief. Today I had my last Rhogam shot for this pregnancy and shouldn't need another till after birth. Thank God because those fuckers burn and it's stabbed in your butt cheek 😂

Jean is a free spirit, coming form a nomadic clan from the middle of Avis. Their clan is known for their amazing cooking abilities, able to heal minor wounds with their mixes of local herbs. After the creation of the Avis kingdom, their clan was asked to send someone to serve the newly established rulers. Jean, as the second child of the clan, is sent in place of their older brother. They quickly settle in to their new post as head of the kitchen. While they love cooking, they’re spirit is injured when they receive the brand of Avis servitude. After tentatively becoming friends with Claude, they are pushed to wed. They were able to get along well due to their mutual disdain for their branded skin and their mutual respect for each other. Jean yearns for their home fields, but finds small comfort in their kitchen with Claude.

After going through this, my Filipino friend really takes his time and effort to install new upgrades to his PC. Looks “tricky” to me at least, but at least works well at the end. Let’s hope it’ll stay like that without any issues going forward.

🐰🖌️Maxwell: On the other side of the story though, we felt bad for how his PC gone malfunction to begin with. Not to mention his current GPU Card went down after long lifespan.

🐰👊💥May: It was hard to get through by; not just trying to install newer upgrades to his computer.

🦊⚽️Sam: At least he’d managed to upgrade to newer ones that shine blue in the dark. If only with just one GPU Card would’ve stay alive for even more better visuals at the end. 😔

Daniel M. Lavery (born November 28, 1986) is an American author and editor. He is known for having co-founded the website The Toast, and written the books Texts from Jane Eyre (2014), The Merry Spinster (2018), and Something That May Shock and Discredit You (2020). He wrote Slate's "Dear Prudence" advice column from 2016 to 2021. As of 2022, he hosts a podcast on Slate titled Big Mood, Little Mood. In 2017, he started a paid e-mail newsletter on Substack titled Shatner Chatner, renamed to The Chatner in 2021.

Lavery grew up in northern Illinois and then San Francisco, one of three children of the evangelical Christian author and former Menlo Church pastor John Ortberg and Nancy Ortberg, who is also a pastor and the CEO of Transforming the Bay with Christ. He attended Azusa Pacific University, a private, evangelical Christian university in California. While a student, Lavery appeared on Jeopardy!, Show #5816 of Monday, December 21, 2009, and finished in third place.

Lavery has credited the work of Shirley Jackson and her novel We Have Always Lived in the Castle, in particular, and John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress as influential.

Lavery identifies as queer. In February 2018, he spoke to Autostraddle about the process of gender transitioning while writing The Merry Spinster. In March 2018, he was interviewed by Heather Havrilesky in New York magazine's The Cut about coming out as trans.

In November 2018, he and partner Grace Lavery, an associate professor of English at UC Berkeley and "the most followed transgender scholar in the world on social media" including Twitter and Instagram, announced their intention to marry. They were married on December 22, 2019.
