Quentin Tarantino upon hearing this awesome movie idea.
Tumblr media
I couldn't resist rebloging this after hearing this idea.
have you yet had the cognitive dissonance that comes with learning that Jon Pertwee was an actual spy in WWII or have you not yet had that pleasure
i HAVE and it's so funny - imagine being a real life British spy and, posthumously, your most recognized achievement is playing a gay science magician on children's television

Justice has been served on November 5th and 6th, 2024!
Congratulations to our true POTUS, Donald J Trump, on your rightful win as POTUS #47!
A huge FUCK YOU to a huge list of crybaby so-called "celebrities". The list is so huge, I apologize to anyone who I may leave out: Taylor Swift, Harrison Ford, Cardi B, Jesse The Nobody Ventura, Mick Foley, Robert DeNiro, Stephen (Pedo) King, Jennifer Lopez, Whoopi Goldberg, Quentin Tarantino, Mark Hammil, Christina Applegate, John Cusack, Wendell Pierce, George Clooney, Katy Perry, Cher, Mark Ruffalo, Meryl Streep, Rob (Meathead) Reiner, Miley Cyrus, Lena Dunham, Alec Baldwin, Amy Schumer, Chelsea Handler, Zendaya, Angelina Jolie, Lady Gaga, Rosie O'Donnell, George Takei, America Ferrera, Madonna, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jack Black, Will Smith, Barbara Streisand, Trevor Noah, Charlie Sheen, Johnny Depp, Stephen Colbert, Susan Sarandon, Jimmy Kimmel, LeBron James, Ben Stiller, Samuel L Jackson, Bette Midler, Jane Fonda, Ellen (Degenerate) DeGeneres, Eminem, Harpo, Richard Gere, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Evans, Alyssa Milano, Chrissy Teigan, George Lopez, The View hosts, Pope Francis.......
No true patriot gives a flying fuck what y'all think. Go back to your perverted Hollywoodland, and keep y'alls MF-ing mouths shut while y'all cry rivers of tears. Y'all and y'alls' sick demented fans and followers should crawl into a hole and disappear forever. Better yet, if y'all ain't totally full of shit, and wish to leave America, the Great....I would be only too happy to personally pay for y'alls 1 way ticket the hell out of here! Good bye and good fuckin' riddance........
An even bigger FUCK YOU to: Alvin Bragg, Letitia James, Fani Willis, Juan Merchan, Arthur Engoron, Lewis Kaplan, Merrick Garland, Mehdi Hasan, Tanya Chutkan, Jack Smith, Shenna Bellows, Jena Griswold, George and Alex Soros and of course.... Joe Biden. Y'all led a witch hunt against an innocent man, tried unconstitutionally to get his name off of state ballots, convict him of bullshit crimes, imprison him, empower the DOJ as a weapon against him, simply because he dared to love our country's freedom by opposing your NWO Globalist masters. Because of the rhetoric that y'all helped spread, y'all are directly responsible for the attempts by the crazy leftists loonies who tried to take this great man's life. Thank God that you failed in that attempt. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves, but when y'all look in the mirrors, y'all must recognize the true Fascists that have been in power for way too long.....yourselves! Each and every one of y'all is an indelible stain on the American Way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. History will NOT be kind to any of y'all. Y'all do understand that your un-American actions were crucial in getting DJT re-elected. Live with that knowledge daily, as it burns a hole in each of y'alls miserable stomachs.
FINALLY: a well-deserved FUCK YOU to Kamala Harris, puppet extraordinaire to the Globalist regime. It turns out, darlin' that YOU were at the wrong rally, all this time!!!!! You don't get to diss our Lord Jesus and not suffer the consequences. You and your fellow Satanic followers will be finding that out for eternity someday soon, one can only hope! But really, sweettums.....your whole platform was a complete sham and a slap in the face to all hard-working, intelligent, decent Americans. Any true public servant... which you clearly are NOT..... would know that, in order to secure my vote, you need to convince me why I should vote for YOU, not why I should NOT be voting for your opponent. All you had in your arsenal was "Don't vote for Trump, because....". Never once could you say "Vote for me because....." and come up with a legitimate, valid reason why I should cast my vote for you. A lesson that you should have learned long ago! The fact that you didn't, shows you for the charlatan that you are, have been and always will be. The fact that your supporters could not see that is testimony to their brainlessness and/or their indoctrination. Now, please just do the American people a great big favor and pull yourself into a huge hole, go off into oblivion, and leave the adults to clean up the big mess that you and your partners-in-crime have created.
Thank you truly to my friends, family and followers for putting up with me the past 4 years in my time of indignation, depression and rage. While I still plan to keep my blog's finger on the pulse of political events, and especially, any and all injustices that may ensue this historical win, I really need to make this blog more fun and relaxing for myself, the way I initially envisioned it to be. Thanks for putting up with my craziness and for being my support when I felt that the world was going to Hell in a hand basket. I respect and love you all, patriots! Have a blessed day and a great life!
Finally, Thank you to Donald J Trump for being an inspiration to myself and for being a great POTUS for all Americans. Your mantra of FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT will forever be my blueprint of action for future navigation thru turbulent waters.

Simone Ashley in Elle UK (October 2023 issue)
A Night At The Museum: Simone Ashley
A teenage passion for vintage Hollywood movies – and their costumes – sparked the actor’s love of design.
Fashion is a 'completely different world’ to the one Simone Ashley, 28, inhabited growing up between Surrey and California. ‘I was never like, “Oh my gosh, I really want that handbag.” Where and how I grew up, I was always outdoors. So I wore what I could go and play in and whatever my mum put me in,’ she explains.
Ashley is now, of course, a world- famous actor and fashion-month darling – a front-row fixture and regular on best- dressed lists thanks to her flair for glamour. She’s a woman who looks at home in some of the world’s most dazzling labels, from Chanel logo-embossed platform heels to shimmering 16Arlington dresses.
The first fashion show she attended was in Paris for Chanel’s SS22 presentation, which celebrated the golden era of the Nineties catwalk complete with photo- graphers lining the runway and George Michael covers blaring over the speakers.
The show resonated with Ashley, who spent her teens in California watching films from the same decade. Among the most treasured pieces in her wardrobe is a vintage Hawaiian shirt that belonged to her mother, reminding her of the Tarantino movies they’d watch together.
The era’s pop culture and fashion left an indelible mark on her own personal style. The trademark tumbling curls Julia Roberts had in Pretty Woman is a look Ashley emulates often, while Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard is another influence: ‘The coolest hair, the coolest outfits,’ she says.
In keeping with the Nineties theme, mini-skirts and knee-high boots are a combo Ashley frequently wears; her most recent purchase was a pair of Paris Texas boots. ‘My boots are very dear to me,’ she says, recalling her first time visiting Chanel’s iconic Rue Cambon store in Paris ahead of the show. ‘I was just so drawn to the boots!’

Careers Take Off At Any Age
This came up in a group chat. One person asked if it were possible for a career to take off later in age. I said yes, yes it could.
In Hollywood, age doesn't matter as much as talent. I got curious and decided to go off googling!
Tumblr media
Stan Lee, 39
Even though Stan Lee started working with comic books since he was just 17 years old, it took him over twenty years to achieve success. He began working for a company called Timely Publications as an assistant and slowly rose up the ranks until he published his first comic book in 1961 – Lee was 39 at the time.
Tumblr media
Alan Rickman, 42
Alan Rickman, the famous actor who played Professor Snape in the Harry Potter series, used to be a graphic designer and even had his own studio. But at the age of 26, he started attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with hopes of becoming an actor. However, he only achieved his first major role in 1988, when he got the role of Hans Gruber in the movie Die Hard – Rickman was 42 at the time. After the movie, Rickman’s acting career quickly took off and he landed the role of Severus Snape in 2001, at the age of 55.
Tumblr media
Kathy Bates, 42
Kathy Bates worked steadily both on stage and on screen early in her life, but it was only when she was cast in the thriller “Misery” at age 42 did she gained prominence as one of the most impressive actors in her generation. Winning the Academy Award for Best Actress, Bates’ career took off, landing her the role of Molly Brown in “Titanic,” Libby Holden in “Primary Colors,” and Miss Hannigan in Disney’s remake of “Annie,” as well as remarkable turns on television series “Six Feet Under,” “Two and a Half Men,” and “Harry’s Law.” Bates was also cast as one of the co-stars of the third season of “American Horror Story.”
Tumblr media
Martha Stewart, 41
Before the beginning of her career as an entrepreneur and media personality, Martha Stewart was working as a stockbroker in Wall Street. However, she quit to start a catering business and eventually published her first cookbook in 1982 at the age of 41.
Tumblr media
Morgan Freeman, 50
Even though Morgan Freeman loved acting since he was young, instead of becoming an actor, he joined the Air Force after finishing school. However, the actor never gave up on his dream and got his first major role in the movie "Street Smart" at age 50.
Tumblr media
Jane Lynch, 49
After many small roles in various different films, Jane Lynch got her first major role in the TV series "Glee" when she was 49.
Tumblr media
Samuel L. Jackson, 46
Samuel L. Jackson was interested in drama since his early 20’s but only achieved worldwide success at age 46, for his role of Jules Winnfield in Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 hit "Pulp Fiction".
Tumblr media
Christoph Waltz, 53
This Austrian-German actor only achieved international success at the age of 53 for his role of Col. Hans Landa in the 2009 movie "Inglorious Basterds".
Tumblr media
Viola Davis, 43
Even though Viola Davis had many small roles in different movies before, her first big break only happened in 2008, when she got a role in the movie "Doubt" at the age of 43.
Tumblr media
Julia Childs, 50
Julia Child, known by many for her TV show and cookbooks, wasn’t initially even that good at cooking. She attended the Cordon Bleu cooking school in 1948 and wrote her first book in 1961 at the age of 50.
Tumblr media
Kathryn Joosten, 60
Kathryn Joosten joined her community theater when she was 42. Before that, she used to work as a psychiatric nurse. The actress eventually landed the role in “The West Wing” at the age of 60.
Tumblr media
Ray Kroc, 52
Raymond Albert Kroc was an American businessman. He purchased the fast food company McDonald's in 1961 from the McDonald brothers and was its CEO from 1967 to 1973. Kroc is credited with the global expansion of McDonald's, turning it into the most successful fast food corporation in the world by revenue.
Tumblr media
Billy Bob Thornton, 41
Even though Billy Bob Thornton struggled with his acting career in the 1980s, it all changed when the actor wrote, directed and starred in the movie "Sling Blade" in 1996 – he was 41 at the time.
Tumblr media
Steve Carell, 43
Believe it or not, The Office was Steve Carell’s first big break – the actor was 43 years old at the time.
Tumblr media
Regis Philbin, 57
Regis Philbin started out as an NBC page and worked on "The Joey Bishop Show," but he was never widely known.
That changed in 1988 when the morning show Philbin was working on became the nationally syndicated "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee." After almost 20 years of working on TV, Philbin's chemistry with Kathie Lee made the show a success and gave him national exposure.
At 57, it was the first time the name Regis was in the nation's lexicon. He's been a part of pop culture ever since, most notably for hosting the game show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"
Tumblr media
Lucille Ball, 40
Lucille Ball was a pioneer for both female leads and for comedy after creating one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time, "I Love Lucy" in 1951.
However, she didn't become Lucy Ricardo until she was 40.
Before "I Love Lucy," Ball went from role to role in films. However, once television became a prominent medium she (along with her husband and co-star Desi Arnaz) tried to sell her vaudeville act to networks. That act became the prototype for "I Love Lucy."
Tumblr media
Bea Arthur, 47
It wasn’t until Bea Arthur was in her forties that she landed on the map. Her portrayal of the acerbic Vera Charles opposite Angela Lansbury in the original Broadway production of “Mame” won her a Tony Award. She became more successful as she aged, gaining acclaim for her portrayal of Maude Findlay on “All in the Family,” and later, “Maude.” In addition, Arthur went on to score many Emmy Award nominations for her work on “The Golden Girls.”
Tumblr media
Colonel Sanders, 62
Throughout his career, Colonel Sanders tried many professions: he was a fireman, a steam engine stoker, an insurance salesman and even tried practicing law. He eventually opened his own roadside restaurant in the 1930s and opened the first franchise restaurant in 1952 – he was 62 at the time.
Tumblr media
Michael Emerson, 46
Before Michael Emerson became an Emmy Award-winning star, he took retail jobs and worked as a freelance illustrator in New York City. Discouraged, Emerson and his wife moved to Florida, where he appeared in local productions around the state. Emerson landed on the map with his electrifying performance as a serial killer on “The Practice,” which earned him his first Emmy Award. Emerson has taken home more Emmy Awards for his work on the popular thriller “Lost.”
--
There are so many more. Anyone's career can take off suddenly, not just in Hollywood, but elsewhere too.
Don't let age be the limitation of your life.

Just learned something interesting/poignant - Julia Campbell, the actress who played Christie Masters in Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, had adolescent scoliosis in real life and had to wear a back brace like the one Michele wears in high school. She found the scene where Christie sticks fridge magnets to the back of Michele's brace to embarrass her so difficult to play that she felt nauseous and needed a break to take some deep breaths and calm herself enough to continue.
Also, Romy and Michele takes place in the Quentin Tarantino cinematic universe, because Mira Sorvino was dating him at the time and the production designer thought it would be fun to include a Red Apple cigarettes billboard near Romy and Michele's apartment building and a Big Kahuna take-out bag on the table with the rest of their junk food.

“Allora, stavo camminando per venire da te quando a un certo punto… mi si è rotta la scarpa.”
“Questo potrebbe essere il perfetto inizio di un film con Julia Roberts, lo sai vero?”
E invece direi che siamo stati più un film di Tarantino: abbiamo ballato un fantastico twist che non era destinato a nulla di più.

damn if true austin is having a good run with working with amazing directors in a row jim jarmusch, quentin, baz, denis, jeff nichols and julia ducournau (for a commercial but I still count it) and potentially ari aster this in addition to working with some of best actors like thats crazy this is very much a timmy esque run.
Tumblr media
Lol @ that last part 😄
Yes, I'm happy for the guy. It was only about 15 years in the making!
I'm glad he's now being able to do the type of work that he's always wanted to do in his career. 🥰 It can be kind of hard to break out of the "Disney Kid" bubble and the "pretty boy" roles/typecast just cuz of how you look.
So I'm glad Austin was able to finally break out of that. I really think him pivoting and switching to do theater (that play with Denzel) and Quentin Tarantino giving him a chance in OUATIH definitely helped steer his career in a totally different direction, even BEFORE he got the "Elvis" role imo.
