Bixbite art in 2025!? Crazy.

Anyway I did the original piece in 2022 and to this day I still think it’s one of my favorite pieces. Yeah, it isn’t the best, but I had a blast drawing it and I’m still proud of it to this day.

Either way, I think Bix deserves some love. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve drawn him, so why not now? Enjoy!

Small mini comic I've wanted to do to fill in a few plot holes that have been bothering me. The plot holes in question:

Why isn't anyone getting involved outside of the main cast? Like the police? Why hasn't the world been made aware of the situation? A Paradise corrupting is a big thing, they should know immediately

Now some additional context for this comic:

There is a barrier surrounding the core of P205 that activates when an MCE happens. This barrier does not go around the Industrial district, as it is permanently corrupted due to Industrial Corruption (it's basically an exclusion zone).

Art Zel is the previous Caretaker before Cube, and he is the last of his line of Caretakers. His grandson despises him for marrying a BC shape, thus resulting in him being BC himself. Only born pure shapes can be Caretakers, and since all of Art's children were BC he effectively ended his line by marrying a BC shape. If he hadn't, his grandson would likely be the current Caretaker. He's arrogant and believes he holds the "right" to the title. A few years prior to this, he got into an intense argument with Art. Lake stepped in to calm the situation down, and he lashed out and attacked him. That's what the scar on his face is from. Fortunately Lake didn't corrupt, but it was a close call.

In general Cube isn't well liked by the public, due to not being a Zel a lot of shapes don't think he's the "true Caretaker". This only gets worse post-JSABH when his LOC is publicly known and he's openly dating Blixer (spoiler alert but not cuz I draw those two fucking kissing all the time)

Whimsy, Hexia, Dot, and the Shadow Shape. (Just Death and Fear OC)

With this, the main antagonist has been revealed, and the new corruption has been exposed.

Dot has been a very treasured JSaB OC of mine, as he's been around ever since the origins of the AU (as shown with the old design of him).

And, I'm proud of myself for getting all of these characters done before Art Fight. Speaking of that, I'm submitting them to Art Fight as well.

OC-tober Day 15: Bravest OC

Blixer. Definitely Blixer. You have to be pretty brave to decide to break into the most heavily guarded City, get to the center without being killed, and corrupt the Tree of Purity. He pulled it off despite being drunk, having an injured shoulder, and only a single gun with 6 rounds.

I referenced this pose, there's no way I could do that perspective/foreshortening without a reference (I'm including the sketch with this one because I kinda like how it looked before I added his clothes better)

Still a day behind, I didn't have time to get caught up today. Maybe I will tomorrow (probably not)

Cyan’s name was originally Blu. I changed the name from Blu because I already had a character named Blu at the time. This project was meant to be much smaller than it turned out to be so I ended up reusing a few names I already had originally.

He’s here, he’s back, he’s got a new updated ref. Gave some minor changes (little spikes yippee!! Oh yeah and the uh.. the goop. That’s been a thing for a while, just never made proper art of that)

Anyway..

Due to an incident regarding Solstice shortly after the final battle, Nox lost his arms. Over time the raw corruption that took over his body rebuilt them, turning them to raw power with the power to overload a shape almost instantly.

It takes focus to keep his arms the proper shape, otherwise they’re gooey tendrils, or simply nonexistent. He can also purposefully make them other shapes if he so desires. Occasionally he’ll swap his hands from segmented to all together, just for “variety”

OH YEAH THE LORE!!

To those who are new, hello, this is Nox, one of my oldest jsab ocs (though not older than Cylix)

Nox is my stand in for the moon in “Just Shapes and Beats” and the source of corruption for my au. He was married to the sun, Solstice, who was the goddess of purity & life. The two thrived before the creation of paradise, however once everything was created, he soon grew jealous of how much their citizens loved solstice, but disliked him.

His jealousy and hatred became the corruption, a toxic pink substance that overtook his body and caused anything he came in contact with to also suffer from this corruption.

Solstice disliked this corruption, and though Nox swore it was fine, Solstice believed otherwise, banishing these tainted shapes. Nox’s condition worsened and he soon lashed out. Eventually a war broke out. Solstice strived to eradicate the corrupt shapes while Nox wanted them to be able to exist and thrive. In the end, Nox and the corrupt shapes lost.

The king had fallen, and on a one on one fight with Solstice, Equinox lost everything. In a desperate attempt to avoid casualties in the future, Solstice severed the arms of her once beloved husband. She knew he would come back eventually, but she would do what she could to prevent him from harming others.

Nox seemingly vanished for centuries, most shapes assumed he was dead, Solstice knew better, but would never speak up in fear of scaring her subjects. It wasn’t until a small grey plant appeared that Nox would make his move..

What is the difference between LOC and Corruption Poisoning?

TLDR: LOC is non lethal and happens to every pure shape who has been corrupted, and corruption poisoning only happens in some shapes & plants and is lethal.

Some shapes actively choose to let themselves corrupt if they have LOC, but most learn to manage their symptoms. If a shape has LOC, any child they have will be born corrupt. If a shape has corruption poisoning, any child they have has the chance to be born corrupt but it's not a guarantee. Usually, shapes with corruption poisoning become infertile within a few months of developing it (if not treated).

Born corrupt plants are so rare because they are the most prone to developing both of these conditions. Most BC plants have LOC, and the ones who don't survive to adulthood die of corruption poisoning

Art has both LOC and corruption poisoning, and Cube just has a bad case of LOC (they're lucky they didn't develop the latter, as being exposed to industrial corruption usually causes that)
