Howdy ladies, gentlemen and fellow eldritch horrors!

As you can probably tell if you've ever looked at a calendar, May is fast approaching, which also means Shapes of May is as well! This year I'm deciding to participate for the first time, but as with anything else I'm putting my own spin on it.

Instead of one week for each canon character or whatever, I'm instead gathering new test subjects victims patients - your OCs!

I'm just going to do one big drawing for the month, to celebrate both JSAB's birthday and BM's! Here's what I have planned.

Until May 1st, you can submit any JSAB OC of yours by reblogging this post with their ref sheet.

I will add as many characters as possible to the drawing. Unsurprisingly it's going to be themed around Dak's office!

The characters will be BM-ified to better suit my style and universe!

You can submit any JSAB OC you want, as long as it's not a canon JSAB characters (the bosses, player shapes, friends or other random canon guys)

So! That's the plan. I'm posting this now because I have finals coming up and am likely to forget otherwise lmao

Hero designs for the next act of JSAB:H!

I haven't liked the original designs for a while now, they've just felt bland and too simple compared to other people's designs. I also didn't like how they all basically had the same design just different colours, minus Daisy who had a more feminine outfit. So I decided to update them for the next act! I also thought now would be a good time to share these/design these, since now all their real names have been revealed :3 (Cyan, Merri, Daisy, Green)

Very excited to get to this point, it may be a minute as i have to script and thumbnail it out still, but im excited nonetheless :)

Hi! I have some more qeustions about incognito, i hope you dont mind. 1. We know that Striker have his enemies and group/ rebbelion which is against him. But does he have Fans? If yes then is it more or less? And what they see in him? 2. Did here are some sickness around robots? I mean in Toyhouse we can see that Pluto sometimes get paralysed {i hope i interpreted it right} and that is happening trough 181 years. So did here are some robots with...flaws? And qeustion similiar to this, if answer is yes does it mean that in Incognito are some "Cyber" hospitals for robots or something? 3. Anyway what in incognito is not what we have in our world? We know that there is no animals and organic life or plants. Is something more? And how look probably substitute of some our life use items? Like phone or means of transport? 4.And a little more about strike. How does work this looking trough robots eyes? Did he can something more or maybe stalking is only thing? Also how Strike get his team/crew? He built them or maybe its random bots who joined him? 5. Also maybe something more about ai and robots diference? or about ai status in this world? And last one i promise! 6. How look world build? Did here is some type of hierarchy like the richest and the lowest level? Or maybe beside treating ai like worse quit of fear is only one type?

Also sorry for so many qeustions. Im curious and working on my oc story in incognito and i want make it so much canon as possible. Incognito is really fantastic project and i would be sad if i {sorry for language} fucked up something. Also im super curious./

1- Does Stryke have any fans?

Yes! Stryke runs a game show of sorts, where he kidnaps bots and puts them into VR games that can kill them (keeping their identities anonymous). There are bots who pay to come see the shows live, but he also broadcasts them to a specific channel. The tickets to see him live are very expensive, so most bots who enjoy watching are very rich bots. He doesn’t bring wealthy bots into his games, only middle to lower class bots. Some lower class bots have a twisted enjoyment of his shows, but most are either afraid of him or dont believe his shows are actually real. Most bots believe that its just fictional, and designed for entertainment. A majority of Stryke’s fans are wealthy bots

2- Are there any sicknesses bots can suffer from? 

Sickness no, disabilities yes. Diseases don’t exist for bots, as, well, they’re robots. However disabilities do still exist as a bot’s body can break or get damaged, and not all of them can afford to fix them. So a bot may have a damaged leg and be unable to walk properly, for example. Dr. Radium is a different case. I can’t go into details about it as how and why it happens is spoilers, but basically when his mind was transferred into his robot body it didn’t work properly. This causes his brain to “short circuit”, and his body to malfunction in a very painful way. Which causes the semi paralysis you mentioned. That’s why he has external wires on his head, without them he would literally shut down

There are doctors and hospitals, yes! Bots can get injured, so they need people who can treat them. But they aren’t called doctors, they’re called mechanics. Since they aren’t technically even doctors, they’re literally just mechanics who know robotics

3- Is there anything that Incognito has that our world doesn’t/anything Incognito doesn’t have?

Other than biological life, not really no. And even then, that does still exist just in very small quantities. Humans do still exist, as evidenced by Alice being a main character. And plants do exist in some places, but again spoilers. Animals exist in captivity in some places, like zoos, as they have been cloned and bred the same way humans are. All the technology that exists in Incognito that exists in the real world looks like what someone from the 80s would think “future” technology would look like. Think Back to the Future 2, or any cyberpunk media from the 80s. Incognito may lean heavier into synthwave, but it IS still cyberpunk. And one of the key elements of cyberpunk is retrofuturism, and its usually based around 80s aesthetics due to the pieces of media that formed the genre. So they have payphones, and wireless phones arent smartphones. Of course they also have holograms, its a weird mix of 80s futurism and general futurism. For transportation: cars! Cars from the 80s!! Cars that can fly!!! Think again, BTTYF 2. 

4- How can Stryke see through bots’ eyes? And how did he build his team?

Stryke is a security system, he has unlimited access to any and all technology in the Neon City (only in the city though, he can’t access anything outside of it’s borders). He’s sort of omnipresent, he can just tap into any camera he wants at any point. You could be having a conversation with him, and he could be watching a football game while also watching a bank robbery through the building’s security cameras. He’s just everywhere all at once, which is one of the things that makes him so dangerous. As for his team, he didn’t build them himself, but he basically commissioned them. They’re all AI, and they’ve all been around for a while. Each individual’s name is derived from a sequence of numbers and letters that tell you their model line and how many of them have been made. When one is destroyed, they’re just rebuilt and their “memories” are still intact

5- What are more differences between AI and robots?

There are none! AI is so advanced that it is literally impossible to tell if something is AI or not. This is why there are laws in place that control what an AI is allowed to look like. AIs aren’t allowed to have a visible EKG monitor for example, though many just get one installed illegally so they can pass as a bot

6- More info on worldbuilding:

The hierarchy in the neon city is capitalist hell. The rich are at the top, they don’t get taxed and live in luxury skyscrapers high in the clouds. They can get away with anything, bribing government officials is a very big thing. It is a corrupt system that preys on the lower classes, crime is rampant and the police are either ruthless or useless. AIs are only treated the worst because bots are afraid that they’ll get replaced by them. The lower classes have to work their asses off to survive, they have to pay to keep their bodies running smoothly. Many bots resort to stealing parts from scrap yards or looking through dumpsters for them, as they just can’t afford to upgrade themselves no matter how much they’re paid. It’s similar to the movie Robots in that sense, where wealthy bots are thriving and getting the best possibly upgrades, and poorer bots are forced to struggle to even function properly
