Me: vale carajota (I don't know how to translate this but I didn't realize what I said for like 10 seconds; in short, it's an insult. She laughed a lot tho)

And also in a less funny note she implied I go by he/him because I want to replace my father (VERY abusive) which is uh not good. I have told her several times to not compare me to him

rocío jurado was a flamenco singer and actress, active during the time censorship was still very alive in media and always getting in trouble for showing legs or decolletage in the 60s but she always defended her choices and argumented she was just dressing like women of her time

i thought it was v fitting for jota bc just like her jota started to perform being a minor; she chose a look from after the censorship committee was officially disolved and the 'uncovering' era of spanish media had started, the headpiece she has on is a peineta that has the lyrics of a song by rocío that say ahora es tarde señora (it's too late, ma'am) and she even has seashells she picked up herself from the beaches of chipiona where rocío was born sown into the dress
