'Muppets Most Wanted' – Kermit escapes from prison on Disney+ and Hulu
Muppets Most Wanted (2014), a sequel to The Muppets (2011), the beginning of the great Muppet revival, harkens back to the goofy sequels of the first Muppet Movie wave, making a virtue of the sheer silliness of the premise. Kermit the Frog is kidnapped and tossed in a Siberian gulag while his lookalike Constantine, aka The Most Dangerous Frog in the World, takes his place sending the Muppet crew…

#recently read December 24
The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz. After a struggling writer uses a dead former student's plot in his bestselling novel, he starts getting threatening messages calling him a thief. *Reminiscent of Yellowface although this came first, I liked the twist here more and it was less terminally online. I also read the sequel.
The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. Finally got peer pressured into this and it was enjoyable enough despite my lack of familiarity with the genre it's playing with. Should be a hit with fans of toxic x oblivious yaoi.
The Frindle Files by Andrew Clements. Tech-savvy Josh learns something shocking about his tech-phobic teacher. *I grew up with Clements so it's fascinating to see his take on ed tech and social media, although these days I sympathize more with the harried teachers than the scrappy students lol.
Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett. Fantasy!hacker heist, thief Sancia's 'one last job' plunges her into magical and political intrigue in a fantasy Venice where magic works like computer programming. *Fun enough that I'm partway through the sequel, but I preferred his City of Blades.

Inspiration for Perditus
Ciar was a mixture of angsty teens, Sorcha was the self-proclaimed precocious kid, but Perry seems to just be all over the place! Perhaps "Woobie" is the theme here...
Story from Lady in the Water was definitely an inspiration for the urban fairytale idea. And she shares the role of "I came here to help you, but now everything is trying to kill me. Help!"
Peter’s youthful enthusiasm for being an Avenger in Spider-Man: Homecoming reminds me a lot of Perry’s own naïveté.
Link from Wind Waker is often written off as a joke for his cutesy appearance, but he’s still one of the coolest Links ever! I don't know if this is true of Perry, but its definitely how he sees himself.
Josh Hutcherson has been my live-action casting choice since I first saw him in Hunger Games, but I’m even more convinced since I found this picture of him when he was actually 16.
Clement from The Story of Santa Claus (1996). I did NOT remember this character until this year and now I’m convinced that he was a subconscious inspiration. He really IS a Christmas elf!
Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia. A friend of mine attributed Perry’s likability to him being “so darn earnest” and now he will always remind me of Deku.
I never did find a matching voice actor for Perditus. I guess he just sounds like himself. Two more characters to go!

A lil silly DanCass idea number 1, I imagine that Cassandra kinda gives her plants some posh old money names like Clemente, Montgomery, Evangeline, Lycidas, etc. and when she starts getting closer with Daniel (on more friendlier terms that is) she would introduce him to all of her plants and make him remember them all by names.
And Daniel one day would ask her to let him name at least one plant and he'd call it something like Steve, Kyle or Josh (or Megatron 300 Destroyer of Universes and Galaxies.) She never let him name her plants ever again.

I am CURIOUS what are YOUR favorite modern and historical theologians and specific works you like and why?
Besides C.S. Lewis
I've enjoyed the G.K. Chesterton books I've read
I like N.T. Wright
John H. Walton wrote a book called the Lost World of Genesis One, and when you look at his arguments for how the Israelites defined existence and creation, and then look at how the word Logos was used in Greek philosophy, it really helps to illuminate just how brilliant the gospel of John's opening is. His other work is good too.
The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence is a must read
I've enjoyed everything I've read from clement of Alexandria
Josh Pearsall of Practical Christian Lessons (though I have pretty mixed feelings on PCLs vice editor)
Nijay K. Gupta is another really good one
There's more, but I'm blanking atm

Five Reason why YOU🫵 should play fly forever Loving you 2
First of all what's Fly forever Loving you 2 ?
Fly is an indie otome game where your character will enter in 11th grade at the Hummingbird Highschool and where you'll eventualy find love and discover some hidden secret along the way.
It's a sequel of another game of the creator who found that the first lacked of constancy. You Can play the 2 without having to play the First since the important plot point are reminded (but I personally recomend you to try the first since it's still very enjoyable and you'll understand the story better).
Reason number one: custom your character
You Can chose your, apparence, pronouns and customize your character.
Reason number 2: Choose your best Friend
A recent update grant you the possibility to chose who is your best Friend between two character:Rachelle and Nabil.
Rachelle is your default best Friend since Fly 1 she's a Sunny girl who is determined to help you find love
Nabil is a funny and layback Guy with a baffling Bad Luck.
Reason number 3: Awesomes love interest
In this game you have 8 love interest.
(I'm going to présent them from left to right for first Line and same sens for the second.)
-Evan is a shy and reserved but nice guy passioned of litterature. However he seems to have some family trouble lately. He's Rachelle's best Friend.
-Josh is the guitarist of Nuggets on the run a group that he created with his brother Ben and Friend Beatrice. He's an Honest Guy who don't like drama.
-Juliette is the pianist of Nuggets on the run and an artist to the core. She's a very sensible girl who has been bullying last year partly because of the fact she's lesbian. (It's one of the main story Line of Fly 1).
-Kanan is an activist whose everyday life turn around making the World better in term of ecologie and politics. This made him gain the Title of kill joy by some of his peers.
Kanan and Juliette are both exclusive love interest: if you Choose the girl apparence you Can date Juliette and if you Choose the boy one you Can date Kanan.
-Clement is Rachelle's and Evan's best Friend. He's a flirty Guy with a hight self-esteem. He's still a lovely and comic person.
-Thomas a Guy who likes to act all mysterious and with who you share the custody of a cat named Java.He work at the Highschool despite being only 19/18.
-Mélanie is your local Mean girl who's a lot more tolerable than last year. She still likes to throw uncalled mockeries at you.
-Dahn is an ex star player of the Best basketball Highschool team of France who decided to change School and to go to Hummingbird. He's a sociable Guy who seems to blend in easely.
-Laurène is a very strong girl and Juliette's best Friend. She's serious and much more mature than most of adults. You Can have truth her without any worry.
Reason number 4: a beautiful story with gorgeous illustrations
While the setting of the story is not revolutionary some episodes genuetly made me gasp especialy for the episode 8 who spoke about revenge porn. The characters feel very humans(for the better and worst).
Reason number 5: HER
This is Candice Mc's best Friend until they move out and I love her so much. Part of it because of a side story that made me relate to her.
If this post convince you to give this game a try you should keep two things mind:
-This game is 100% french and there is not translation from what I know.
-Ajeb the creator of the game do all the sprites, illustrations, coding and writing alone so the update of episodes are slow but there is some special épisode who are disponible !
Side note: you Can download this for free on your computer/laptop and phone (it's not disponible for IOS thought)

Sam Levine and Alice Herman at The Guardian:
Activists are using Donald Trump’s decisive victory to further question the 2020 election results and sow doubts about close US senate races where ballots are still being counted. While they’ve been quiet about fraud in the presidential election this year, activists pointed to the unofficial total number of votes cast, noting that 20m more ballots had been cast in 2020. Ignoring the reality that there are millions of votes still being counted in states like California, Arizona and Nevada, they suggested the incomplete number was somehow evidence there were fake ballots in 2020.
“Where did 20 million votes go between 2020 and 2024? 15 million for Biden, 5 million for Trump. Who believes Trump received 5 million fewer votes in 2024?” Cleta Mitchell, a Trump ally and leader of the election denial movement, tweeted on Thursday. Abraham Hamadeh, who won election to the US House in Arizona, made a similar claim. “20 million missing Democrat voters – where’d they go. The claim has been echoed by some on the left, who have falsely suggested that there were suspiciously fewer votes in 2024 than 2020 and that Harris should not have conceded the race. The claims were false. When all votes are counted, more than 157.5m people will have voted in the presidential election, according to an estimate by the New York Times. There were 159.7m ballots counted in the 2020 election.
[...] But instead of acknowledging the system works, activists targeted races other than the presidential contest, especially close US senate contests where ballots are still being counted. “So many down ballot Republicans were screwed out of a victory. Trump won by a far greater margin than what was reported,” tweeted David Clements, a former professor in New Mexico who has traveled the country spreading false information about voting machines. The delicate balance election deniers tried to find after the election was perhaps best encapsulated by Tom Fitton, a Trump ally who leads the conservative group Judicial Watch. “The steal was indeed stopped,” he tweeted on Thursday morning. A few hours later, he tweeted “what is happening right now in Maricopa county is election corruption”. Activists focused on close Senate races in Arizona and Nevada, two states where mail-in balloting is widely used and votes are counted for several days after the election. Trump is projected to win both states.
In Nevada, Senator Jacky Rosen, a Democratic, overtook opponent Sam Brown in the vote count after initially trailing him. Experts have long warned that because of the way different methods of voting are reported, it may appear that one candidate is ahead on election night only to have them fall behind as more votes are counted. Robert Beadles, a prominent election denier in Nevada who has spent years questioning election results, claimed there was something suspicious about the count. “They’ve flooded the system with enough illegal votes days after the election to take the lead. Will it stand….,” he wrote in a post on X Thursday morning.
In Arizona, where Democratic Ruben Gallego narrowly leads Republican Kari Lake in the US senate race, election deniers have also used Trump’s victory to question how other Republicans could lose. There were still 943,000 votes left to count on Thursday. “You’re trying to tell me that people voted for Trump then turned around and voted for Ruben Gallego and other Democrats at the state level?” Josh Barnett, an election denier in Arizona who has supported overturning the results from the 2022 election. “There’s no fucking way that happened. I’m not buying it. I told our state legislature this is what would happen when we don’t have properly and legally run elections. They take and “steal” what they can to gain control. Almost like a trade off.” Split ticket voting – voting for one party’s candidate at the top of the ticket and another party’s candidates for other offices – is not unusual in American presidential elections.
Right-wing election deniers are using Donald Trump’s 2024 win to sow even more doubt about the 2020 elections.

AJ Allmendinger made a last lap pass for the win at Texas, beating out the Dash 4 Cash winner of the race Ryan Truex, after more madness occured.
