After everything 2023
You're my breath, my pain, my heart, my life! You're my better place, Tess. We needed to be able to stand alone before we could stand together, and I'm so thankful that we made it through the darkness, the fighting, the pain, and emerged hand in hand, stronger than ever.
Will you marry me?
So I definitely cried while watching this although I've read the books more than 6 or 7 times,
Ps: when he took off his ring to propose her>>>>>>>>>>>>>

As a reader you have a choice to love or hate hardin but as a writer Anna Todd really tried hard to justify all his actions.

After We Collided (2020)
After We Collided is a gloriously ridiculous drama, a film that makes the Twilight franchise seem subtle and realistic. It’s professional-looking, free of bad special effects and devoid of cringe-worthy performances but the plot is so loopy it’ll have bad movie fans howling. You'll laugh twice as hard if you catch this sequel right after its predecessor, 2019’s After.
Though it appeared that Tessa (Josephine Langford) had forgiven Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) after she discovered he only began dating her on a dare, they've broken up. One month later, Hardin is a mess and Tessa is beginning a prestigious internship at Vance Publishing, working alongside the handsome Trevor Matthews (Dylan Sprouse). Desperate to win her back, Hardin approaches Tessa. Despite her best efforts, she finds herself drawn to him once more.
You know this movie is in trouble when it begins Alien 3 style and retcons away the finale of the previous story. Hardin’s got a heartbreak so severe he’s hanging out with bums. He’s stumbling to his favourite tattoo artist to immortalize the pain he’s feeling. Meanwhile, Tessa has won the professional lottery. On her first day at Vance Publishing (wasn’t that where Anastasia Steele worked too?), she’s given a simple assignment: read 5 manuscripts by the end of the week and let her boss (Kimberly, played by Candice King) know if any are good. What does she do? Read all 5 in one night, at the office. The owner of Vance Publishing (Christian, played by Charlie Weber) finds her sleeping at her desk the next day. He’s so impressed, he brings Tessa with him to a club in Seattle so she can sweet-talk a potential investor. She gets to stay in a company-paid hotel, gets a new wardrobe and is practically on her way to owning the business. It's even more impressive once you realize she only completed one year of university.
A big shocker with this film is the grown-up content. After was PG. It’s only been a year but obviously, the audience for this movie has "matured" and so has the rating. This sequel is rated R, complete with more sex scenes than the entire Twilight franchise and a shot of Hero Fiennes Tiffin’s butt. Tessa just pulled down his shorts and she’s looking hungry. I bet the teenage girls who are watching are about to burst too.
I want to direct your attention to the film’s writers. I don’t recognize Mario Celaya (at the time of this review, this is his only writing credit on IMDB) but I recognize the other name: Anna Todd. The book’s writer is now the screenwriter, and it shows. It’s like NOTHING from the book has been cut unless it was absolutely necessary. We meet a whole bunch of characters whose dialogue and interactions with Tessa tell you we’re supposed to care about every detail of their life, but we don’t. The film is so crammed it jumps from wild development to Tessa and Hardin breaking up, to sex scene, to new development, to breakup - with no pauses in between.
There’s so much to ridicule it's hard to pick the funniest aspect of After We Collided but if you ask me, I’d choose Trevor. He’s supposed to be this series’ Jacob but from frame 1, you can tell there’s no way he and Tessa are getting together. The movie tries so desperately to make him the desirable good guy it’s kind of pathetic. The man’s got no personality except being kind and helpful. He’s a robot’s idea of what a boyfriend would be like - and if you weren’t convinced, the post-credit scene will.
After We Collided is not a good movie. In fact, it’s probably among 2020’s worst but one thing’s for sure: it’s never boring. Delightfully ridiculous, melodramatic and tonally inconsistent, it’s got plenty to offer to bad movie enthusiasts who know what they’re getting into. There are two sequels in the works and I can’t wait. (March 19, 2021)

After Ever Happy (2022) - Movie Review
(Based on the novel series After by Anna Todd)
CW: Alcohol Addiction and Overdose.
Obligatory Disclaimer: Did not read the source material. Most reference to them is speculation or public knowledge.
Here were are again. Harden (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) and Tessa (Josephine Langford) have once again graced our straight to streaming/DVD screens with another look at their whirlwind of a toxic romance, for the 4th installment of the After series.
Wild revelations were dropped in the last movie (After We Fell) and if you’ve been following this series, not in the book, than you kinda wanted to know what was gonna come from all the cracks in this couple’s, as well as their family’s lives. You probably felt a little bad for them and hoped that some growing would take place and old patterns wouldn’t be followed.... Okay, maybe that was a bit much in the hoping department, cause unless you actually love this couple, you already know what’s to come. You know that there is no saving them and you wish that they would do themselves a favor and finally let go of the toxic strings that tie them together, but you also know that won’t happen.
After Ever Happy is what you get when you haven’t found a way or refuse to stop the push and the pull and you know your core audience will just follow you right to the edge of that cliff every time. As for me, I’m here for the downfall and the potential for a movie review.
See it can’t be for the spice cause that part was not good. There was maybe 2 maybe 3 spicy scenes in the entire film and the first was so ill-placed that I was done with it before it even finished, as with the rest of them. I’m sorry but the sex you use to fix your poor communication wasn’t enticing enough to my eyes or my feels, for me to say this works.
It once again couldn’t be any of the parts in the story that I hoped would get some real attention either, cause spoiler alert, they didn’t. There are some heavy themes in this story and I just wanted something tangible done with them. You don’t have to preform a miracle, just do better. I’ve said this multiple times (across several reviews in this series) CARE ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS!
Oh and although predictable, we’re not here for the continued rip on 50 Shades of Grey. Another thing I’ve mentioned before. A lot of romance novels eat off of each other’s plates, so much so that many are simply regurgitating the same story with slight variations. The After series takes big bites and expects folks not to notice or knows people see it and ignores that elephant in the room. Now this isn’t the downfall of this movie, it’s just funny that they do it and makes those parts worse.
There is no growth here. This relationship is not everlasting. It’s not meant to defy all odds. It’s a burning building and anyone who tells you that this is what unconditional love looks like, has already breathed in too much smoke and can most likely not be saved, just like Tess cannot save Harden.
A positive though, is that the cast has finally gotten consistent. I didn’t see a recast of anyone I would have remembered and the people who are here now have been with us for at least 2 or 3 films at this point. You lose a lot with constant recasting, so thanks for keeping who you could.
Okay, so at this point we all know what we’re getting and just like Tumblr acknowledges what kind of platform they got, the After series is acknowledging the kind of toxic romance they’ve created. I haven’t seen them do that before, but I imagine if enough people tell you something about yourself, sometimes you have to admit defeat, thus bringing us here. It’s the 4th movie and possibly one of the first times that we’re all on the same page. Not for long though, cause we all saw that “To Be Continued...” and know there are 2 more movies to follow this one.
Here’s what we’re all gonna do.... We’re gonna keep going, cause we’re invested, we’re gonna keep saying that this relationship is toxic, so that everyone who romanticizes it doesn’t get a moment of peace and eventually realizes it too and then when this is all over we’re gonna move onto the next story with another toxic relationship. It’s called rinse and repeat for slight entertainment.
.
.
If you’re interested check out my reviews of After, After We Collided and After We Fell, the first 3 films in this series, if you’re curious about what I thought of those movies.
Bonus Spoiler Commentary Below:
I am not mad that Harden wrote a book about his and Tessa’s relationship as therapy, however I’m not big on the idea that he could just put it out there like that. The book seemed to cover every detail and I’d personally wouldn’t want my intimate life displayed like that without some knowledge or buffer. Like he just showed up with a manuscript and a meeting and she’s just supposed to be like “cool.” I don’t need Harden to be a good person, I just need him to stop with the BS and remember that the world doesn’t revolve around him.

Soon Caroline lead the lady to the living room the Lady got inside the living room. James turned around to greet the lady until he saw a face he never thought he would see again
Dolley:
-Hello James it’s been a while
*Dolley said in a cold and a straight face*
Josephine Payne
(My fankid of James Madison and Doley Madison when James left Doley she was pregnant but Doley but never told James and Doley raised Josephine making her believe James abandoned them so she is acting like a bitch to Caroline but Caroline doesn’t say anything about Josephine to her dads but she also didn’t knew Josephine was her half sister)
Josephine:
- That fucker is back!
Diane(Josephine’s girlfriend):
-Yeah, I thought he was gone for good too
Josephine:
-It’s been so long!!!
Diane:
-You still pissed she almost beat you that time?
Josephine:
-Uh, fuck you!
Diane:
-Just saying
Josephine:
-Things have changed a lot since she left town!
Diane:
-That's for sure
Josephine:
-I gotta send a message of who's really in charge of things now
(sung)
Welcome home
I'm gonna make you wish that you'd stayed gone
Say hello to a new status quo
Everyone knows that there's a brand new dawn
Turn the TV on!
*Josephine opens her life stream*
Diane spoken:
-Camera speeds
Rolling in three, two
Background music:
-Welcome to the show!
Josephine:
-Top of the hour, and we're discussing a certain has-been
Who has been spotted cavorting around town
Background music:
-Welcome to the show
Josephine:
-After a seven-year absence
Did anybody miss her?
Did anybody notice?
More on tonight's program!
So, the Treasury States
is back in town
Why is she hanging around?
What does that mean for your family?
Well handily, I've got good news
She's a loser, a fossil
And I don't mean to sound hostile, but the Girl is a coward!
You can take that as gospel
Pulling my viewers? Impossible
I'm visual, she's barely audible
Stop giving her the time of day, don't listen to a word she say
I hope she had a nice vacay, but she should've stayed away
While she hid in Italy, we've pivoted to video
Now her medium is getting bloody rare
America been better since she split
Where's she been? Who gives a shit?
Caroline enters the chat:
-Salutations!
Good to be back on the air
Yes, I know it's been a while
Since someone with style treated America to a broadcast
People, rejoice!
Josephine:
-What a dated voice!
Caroline:
-Instead of a clout-chasing mediocre video podcast
Josephine:
-Come on!
Caroline:
-Is Josephine insecure, pursuing allure?
Flitting between this fad and that, is nothing working?
Josephine:
-Ignore her chirping!
Caroline:
-Every day, she's got a new format!
Josephine:
-You're looking at a queen, she's the shit that comes before that!
Caroline:
-Is Josephine as strong as she purports?
Or is it based on her support?
She'd be powerless without her Mommy and Gal!
Josephine:
-Oh, please!
Caroline:
-And here's the sugar on the cream she told me I ruined her life
Josephine:
-H-hold on!
Caroline:
-I said Whatever now she's pissy
That's the tea!
Josephine’s camera glitching:
-You old-timey prick, I'll show you suf-ffering
Caroline:
-Uh oh, the Star is buffering!
Josephine:
-I'll destroy you, yo-ou lit-tle—
Josephine camera lost its signal and ended
Caroline opens her live stream:
-I'm afraid you've lost your signal
Let's begin
I'm gonna make you wish that I'd stayed gone, tune on in
When I'm done, your status quo will know its race is run
Oh, this will be fun
Caroline said than ending the livestream smirking
(*wheezing due to how funny this is* also that's interesting! way to make Thomas and James look bad though-)
*James was working in his office and for some reason he got a glimpse of that live stream and saw Josephine, it shocked him how much that kid looked like him which has him overthinking now*

Ok ok ok, so!! Batman oc here we go!! This is Josephine Anne Todd-Wayne, twin sister of Jason. Is it a bit cringe?? Yes, I do not care. She is blind bc why not, is a meta with abilities like Daredevil (enhanced senses).
My first oc in the Batman fandom, so she's kinda babygirl~
So I was also in my tracing phase when I made her (burnout suck so much lol) so here are all of the ones that I traced, but added my own spin to!!
Again, these bottom ones are traced!!! Not original work (I found the images on pintrest) (most are of Catwoman)~

Of course today is somber, and of course we mourn for what was lost - it's important. But it's also important to remember that 22 years ago we also saw so many selfless people help others find the stairs, spend their final moments sharing vital information, storm cockpits, search rubble. If you're too young to remember 9/11 as anything other than history, and if it's anything like when I was in school, they're going to teach you the death tolls, the consequences, the names of the bad people. I beg you, for your own sake, take some time to learn about the good people too, the moments of selfless kindness. His name was Todd Beamer. Her name was Betty Ong. There was a stranger with a red bandanna. They are the people who refused to leave Josephine Harris behind.
#tw 9/11#september 11#also could ya younger folks maybe chill on the jokes a bit please?#it's history to you but it's the first moment a lot of us felt the weight of the world as kids#be kind ok?
