His most common strategies include going friendly for your entire team ꒰and spending the time by your side꒱ or simply avoiding you until everybody else has been chaired and he can give you dungeon. However, there are times that he’ll have to go full swing on you—he fears that the baron might punish the both of you, otherwise. He tries to be gentle on you when this happens, grazing you ever so lightly with his rapier, but he’ll always come running to Emily’s infirmary once the match is over… just to make sure.

After enough words of reassurance have been said to the both of you he’s hesitant but loosens his grip and lets you go

But he won’t let you leave his side, even if you have a match. He’ll find a way to let you be excused

Only when (if you’re a survivor) you’re matched with him he’ll let you go, on the condition you meet him at a selected spot. He completely ignores other survivors and stays out of their sight with you, if they get too annoying or make an even slightly rude comment to you they’re instantly getting chaired or bled out

On the days you don’t leave he’s in bed with you holding you close and making sure you know you’re loved

He only ever gets up to get you food, water and to fix a bath for the two of you

And even when he’s getting food he’s carrying you so you stay with him

It takes him a while but he eventually calms down a bit and lets you do your own thing

He’ll always worry, but over time he gets better at acting he isn’t scared anymore while letting you know he cares

Xie Bi’an and Fan Wujiu

They’d be the most understanding, especially Xie Bi’an

When they first see your scars they don’t point it out right away, they could be old and not everyone is okay with talking about it

But when they notice them growing more and you doing more things to hide your arms like wearing long sleeves and wearing jackets even if it’s a hot day, their concern grows more and more

Fan didn’t exactly know how to approach the topic, he wants to show he cares but he doesn’t know how to, so Xie says he can do most of the talking

Xie gently asks you if you can talk, promising nothing bad will happen and nobody’s mad or disappointed

When he does his voice is soft and soothing

He asks you what’s been going on in your mind and if you really have been harming yourself, he knows but he wants to know if you trust him enough to be honest

When you tell him the truth, he just holds you close, he asks if you want to talk about any of your problems, telling you he understands exactly how you feel but it won’t solve anything, and taking the bigger step is just going to cause more pain

Fan does come in to comfort you as well, doing a bit more talking so Xie doesn’t get too overwhelmed with bad memories

He reassures you it’ll all be okay like Xie said, he says it isn’t the answer

They know it’ll be hard but they want you to try and stop. Not for them but for yourself, you need to do it for yourself

They won’t cling to you but they will be around you a bit more then usual and do check ins once in a while

Xie does sometimes cry when you’re not around, he and Fan talk about their worries in this situation

They may not be sobbing but they really are scared and worried, they care so much

They make little promises to you that life will get better, that everything will get better soon, and they’ll be by your side the whole time

He likes to keep it at the bedroom, but is normally down for (almost) anywhere. From time to time he'll get horny enough to do it in the photo world or, if he's feeling really daring, the library. There's nothing more fun than watching you desprately try to supress the sounds of your moans in a place where you're supposed to stay quiet.

O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc)

Can't be on his knees too long because remember that he's an old man, so do him a solid and make it easy on him, like sitting on his face or keeping his giving to a minimum.

V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make)

Definitely isn't one to shy away from being loud, but is generally in the middle for this one. Now while they're mainly grunts, he's also the type of guy to be talking a lot during it, whether it be praises or degradation is up to him, not that you'll ever know, unless you understand French that is.

Ithaqua is fiercely protective of his boundaries, making him seem aloof towards most things. But when he gets close with someone, it’s like a switch goes off in him.

He fusses over you often -- trekking through the snow, he’ll always keep a hand hovering around you in case you trip. He also likes to walk directly in front of you while holding your hand, knowing you tend to lose focus of your surroundings when you’re drowsy.

Has a knack for soothing you to sleep, replicating techniques that his mother would use on him: humming her lullabies to you, stroking your hair, or softly talking with you until you’re too tired to keep going.

Everyday he hangs your blankets by the fire, so they’re warm and toasty whenever you need them. He wishes he thought of doing this when his mom was around, but he’s happy to do it for you now.

Doesn’t really cuddle with you. He feels more secure sitting in a nearby chair where he can watch over you.

The most he’ll do is hold your hand, or sometimes even let you pull him down for a kiss... but you’d have a hard time getting him to leave that chair. He’s always on guard in case of unwelcome visitors.

Joseph 📸

Joseph looks forward to finding you asleep in random spots around the manor. It means he can carry you back to bed <3

He has a very gentle, rhythmic walk, so you usually sleep through it. But every once in a while you wake up in his arms, and he jokingly complains that you’ll sleep anywhere except next to him.

It’s common for you to come over to wherever he’s sitting and rest your head against his shoulder. He’ll bring you into his lap so you can rest comfortably, and also use the chance to take a break himself.

The type to keep saying he’s got work to do, but doesn’t resist you at all. You’re always a very welcome interruption.

He fell into a habit of playing with your fingers while you doze off next to him. Now, even when you’re not there, his hand mindlessly wanders to find you.

He’ll act as if he was reaching for something else, whether or not someone was watching him.

Waking you up is one of his favorite things to do. He loves watching you curl into his chest for one more minute of warmth, and he’ll pepper kisses up your jawline as an apology for disrupting your sleep <3

I do believe I’ve seen people write for Joseph’s pet receiving more attention than him, but here’s my shot at this.

Wu Chang, Mary, and Joseph getting jealous of their mini versions

Xie Bi’an

At first, he thought the fact that you had a mini Wu Chang as your pet was pretty cute, until you began giving it more affection than you gave him.

Of course, he was happy that you were happy, but the bitter pangs of jealousy began creeping up on him.

‘Qin ai de - ah, you’re playing with your pet again... Well, please don’t let me disturb you.’

He wanted to say something else, but left as you hugged the mini Wu Chang to your chest.

He’d plan dates with only you and him (and Wujiu, if you were also dating him) and amp up the sulking if you had brought your pet with you.

‘Ah, I thought I had specified that this date was only for you and me, but you brought it along… it looks like you love it more than me.’ But of course, this was in a joking tone, no matter how he felt.

Expect a lot more of romantic gestures and pampering, as if he was saying ‘I don’t understand why you give the pet more attention than you give me. Look - I can treat you better.’

Fan Wujiu

Unlike Bi’an, he was kind of annoyed that you had a mini version of him. What to cuddle him? Just ask. Want children? Well, that would be quite a conversation. Everything the mini version of him could do, he could do better.

So, when he saw you pampering the pet more than you gave attention to him, he was quite infuriated. Marching towards you, he snatched it from your hands.

‘Give me affection, then I’ll give you back your pet.’

While his directness can be appreciated, sometimes it would be too much. You explained that it was a harmless pet, and that you were comforting it because it was sad you got chaired first.

Hearing this, Wujiu calmed down and stroked the head of the mini him thoughtfully. ‘I did not expect these tiny things to be capable of feeling emotions. How interesting.’

Still, he’d prefer you go to him immediately after matches, especially since you could potentially get injured.

Mary

Sometimes, Mary would get pretty insecure - was she a good girlfriend? There were many other good candidates in the manor, yet you still stuck by her side. She was sure that you would eventually leave her, so seeing a little pet that looked like her to keep you company reassured her a little bit.

That was until you began giving it more affection than you gave her.

She saw an example of this in a match you had with her - you had asked her not to go easy on you, so she obliged, leading you to be chaired. You were comforting the shivering mini Mary, which made the former queen quite displeased.

‘How dare you! You are my lover first, and then the owner of that pet second. Now, as we wait for your teammates to rescue you, shall we have a lovely chat?’

Slightly puzzled, you were rescued by your teammate and Mary continued to chase you.

Be prepared for intense courting, European style, after you finish every match. She can’t stand someone else sweeping you off your feet, even if it’s a mini version of her.

‘Ma chere/mon cher, I had Emma pick the best flowers for you. Now be a dear and let me braid these in your hair/make you a flower crown.’

Joseph

The Frenchies are very similar in how they react to your pet. How lovely of you to have a little remainder of him every where you go! To By God, why are you giving it more attention than you give him?

He’ll also attempt to win your attention by going on more extravagant dates, and all in all spending more time with you.

‘Beau, would you like for me to show you some recipes that… Claude and I used to enjoy? Can you bring your pet? No, I’m afraid it may cause a mess.’

Out of your sight, he’d be rather petty with his mini version. From glaring to knocking if off the table, he’s not going to accept another competitor. Of course, he’d stop if you asked, begrudgingly, but be sure to reassure him that he’ll be the only one in your eyes.

To be honest, I had forgotten that the Cheshire Cat has one, but as I only remembered it when I was finished, I decided that it would remain

Morningstar/Ithaqua

• As a king, he is a bit busy and sometimes forgets to pay attention to you,

• For me, there are few things he doesn't know how to do,

• Another who is cute when he wants to be, but to the public he is an evil sadist,

• You are still the only person who has seen his gentle and loving side,

• A complete little love in private,

• He is very afraid of losing you, even if you say you won't leave him

Moonlight Gentleman/Joseph Desaulnier

• He often acts like a dog,

• He loves to caress his ears and especially if you massage them, you can be sure that you will have a puppy with a wagging head,

• Exorcist to this day has not said his opinion due to the relationship you have with Moonlight,

• This dog man, just hearing his name makes his tail wag,

• He tries to hide the fact that his tail is wagging in your presence because he thinks it's embarrassing, even if you say it's cute,

• To be honest, I would like to have a Moonlight of my own because he's so cute, but I have to settle for his skin

Exorcist/Aesop Carl

• I have some controversial opinions regarding him,

• He could go from calm to cold in seconds,

• Moonlight really likes your relationship for some reason he never said,

• As an Exorcist, he sometimes comes home very late,

• He's not much for physical contact, but he enjoys stroking your hair,

• You, him and Moonlight watch the sunset every day together

Phoenix/Aesop Carl

• This man is cute and shy because of his fear of being hunted,

• Likes to watch the stars with you,

• In my opinion, he and the Cheshire Cat are the cutest, right after Victor Specter,

• He tries not to be so cute, but he just can't,

• He really likes sweets and his food,

• A great, gentle and kind companion who won't leave your side unless you ask

Cheshire Cat/Naib Subedar

• He's cute, without a shadow of a doubt the cutest after Phoenix, or even before,

• Purrs while you stroke his hair,

• Even though he is half feline, he doesn't have much freshness to eat,

• Don't think you can pet his tail, he will still bite and scratch you if you do that, he doesn't like having his tail touched,

• He likes to sleep on your lap or on top of a tree like a cat,

• The only thing he doesn't like is you changing your tone of voice when calling him, after all he doesn't like feeling like a pet

Luca Balsa

• To this day he wonders why you chose him,

• Already made a kitten robot for you,

• He doesn't really know how to be affectionate, but the important thing is that he tries,

• He's a bit annoying because of his low self-esteem,

• Alva never stops thanking you for taking care of Luca,

• He's a little jealous and doesn't like seeing you around Kevin

• He is annoying, very annoying, doesn't like anything and complains about almost everything,

• The only thing he openly says he likes is painting with you, but only also,

꒰⚔️꒱・First thing first, Joseph is both a late sleeper and a late riser. Sure, his title may not hold any real weight within the confines of Oletus Manor, but he’s quite literally an aristocrat—he needs his beauty sleep! The hecticness of the manor occasionally has him playing in matches for a majority of the day, oftentimes returning with pockets worth of photos that need to be developed. This process takes him well into the night, and it certainly doesn’t help that most of the photos are of random parts of the maps that he plays in—considering that he tends to use whatever camera is closest to him in order to save time. All things considered, don’t be too surprised when you suddenly feel an extra weight sliding beneath your covers at some ungodly hour. He does his best to be quiet, at least.

꒰⚔️꒱・Despite his own questionable habits, Joseph will absolutely get on your back if you have a bad sleep schedule—using your eyebags ꒰assuming you have them꒱ as a form of evidence… despite the small ones that have formed beneath his own eyes. Should you attempt to bring up this fact at all, he’ll simply counter by mentioning that this ‘intervention’ is meant to be about you, not him. After all, while a lack of sleep has a terrible impact on your health, it also puts you at a heavy disadvantage during your own matches. He loves you, and he realizes that the steaks are oftentimes higher for survivors than they are for his fellow hunters—so why should you risk making a bad call, getting yourself hurt, or even losing the match when you could just..! Go. To. Bed! 

꒰⚔️꒱・Attempting to use early matches as an excuse for your sleep deprivation would have him to writing to Miss Nightingale in an attempt to get her to move your matches to the afternoon. He, alongside some other hunters, have had the same arrangement made for them—he doesn’t see why she couldn’t make an exception for you, as well. As he continuously attempts to reiterate to you—the proper amount of sleep is crucial ꒰plus some extra, in your case, due to your sleep debt꒱—even while stuck in the manor. And assuming that Nightingale caves, you’ll lose your excuse to leave his embrace so early in the morning.

꒰⚔️꒱・If he enters your bedroom after developing a day’s worth of photos to find you still awake—he will lure you away from whatever it is that you’re working on. Whether that be with the temptations of cuddles, kisses, or perhaps a massage to your scalp, Joseph has quite the knack of luring you away from your desk. However, if all else fails, he’ll simply end up dragging  your chair over to the bed and pulling  you beneath the covers. You’d called his bluff when he’d first threatened you with the concept, and the completely deadpan expression on his face as he actually did it was a bit hilarious. Or, at least it was to you, in your exhausted state. 

꒰⚔️꒱・Speaking of scalp massages, Joseph makes very good use of his long nails whenever he gives them. If you tie your hair tightly, or if you’re prone to headaches and migraines, he’ll often attempt to soothe the discomfort by pulling you onto his lap and weaving his fingers through your hair. He makes the same offer if he notices that you’re having trouble falling asleep, the gesture being calming enough to allow the Sandman to whisk you away and to your dreams. He thinks you look absolutely adorable whenever you drift off like that, and he’ll often take photos of you to keep with his room.

꒰⚔️꒱・His hair is incredibly soft, and he usually prefers to sleep with it down. Combined with his love of cuddling and sleeping as close to you as possible, there have been multiple instances where you’ve woken up during the night to find some of it in your face and mouth. He’s quite appreciative if you ever offer to reciprocate his own massages, as getting hit on the head with palettes does tend to hurt him quite a bit. Sometimes, you’ll tie your hair with his ribbon while giving one to him. He’ll... also be needing a photo of that.

Emma says it regularly throughout conversation, and with most hellos and goodbyes. For some people, it might be too much, but she means it every time.

Ithaqua says it several times whenever either of you has to go, to kiss up when you’re upset with him, and as part of his case whenever he wants to convince you not to do something.

Victor signs off every letter to you, big or small, with some form of it. He says it less verbally, but always during meaningful moments.

Eli doesn’t want to go overboard and says it just a little above average. He’s a bit of a romantic and has a very good sense for when are the best times to lay it on you. It’s very sweet!

Antonio probably sets the standard for this, honestly. Once a day is his average, but he also says it whenever he’s exasperated with you. (Both as a reminder to himself to be patient, and as a signal for you to ease up on him.)

Aesop is also pretty average, though it sounds choked about half the time. He finds it a little embarrassing to say it, but since he knows it’s an important part to romantic relationships, he forces himself to say it more than is natural for him. But don’t feel bad, you’re worth the discomfort.

Naib is a little scared to. “I love you” makes it real, and real hurts even more if something happens to you. That said, he knows he can’t let his fear rule over an important aspect of the relationship like that. He takes longer than most to say it for the first time, but after that says it reasonably often, like once every few days. He always says it before one of you enters a match, too.

Kevin is perhaps a bit shocking because he is such a flirt. He just busies his mouth with so many other compliments that “I love you” doesn’t get to slip out as much. If you ever mention that it’s been a while since he’s said it, he starts tripping over himself to shower you with it.

Norton just forgets a lot of the time. Actions speak louder than words, as far as he’s concerned, so telling you verbally isn’t something that crosses his mind. He will get better with time if you communicate that it’s an issue for you.

Joseph thinks you’re just supposed to know, honestly. He says it only in private, deeply meaningful moments and nothing more than that. He doesn’t really care if it’s an issue that he says it so sparingly…unless you cry. Then he might care a little.
