Joker Cosplay Progress

My joker cosplay is slowly coming together. It has been a bit of a nightmare for someone who doesnt have proper sewing skills, as being a woman who is plus size/fat/curvy and 5ft 11, there was no way any of the pre-made costumes would fit me. As such I have either had to heavily alter/combine existing pieces, or start from scratch.

Anyways, I am excited now it's really coming together - even with lots left to do before my next con in March :)

Also, I have never in my 25 years of life so far, had to tie a tie! Had to look that up on youtube. I actually really like it!

I was too scared to cosplay female TDK joker for many years but more lately I have returned to cosplay after banishing my E.D. and with a much more "fuck it, we're doing it anyway" vibe :)

So yeah, if you ever feel too scared to do a cosplay, I say just go for it. You might have to do a few work-arounds for various costume pieces, but don't let it put you off. Most of all, everyone deserves to have fun in cosplay!

There was a Halloween costume contest at my job but I won’t know the winners until tomorrow.

Anyway here are some pics. The look is slightly revamped from my previous outing. The vest and blouse are different but I think what really pulls it all together is the hat. Idk why I didn’t do it sooner.

New Commission: Jack Nicholson's Joker! Normally I don't do suits for commissions, but I have always loved the design of this joker, so fun and colorful! Satin, wool, soft twill, and custom shoes. I really hope I get to see the customer in this when he wears the whole thing!
