I love Johnson. No matter how misters Mооntons try to make a million plot holes in his lore, he still remains for me one of the most sincere, kind and blissful characters.

It seems to me that in the history of many "new" rangers, that is, Bruno, Lolita, Chu, Layla, there was the very moment where John gave them a friendly kick of faith.

But with Lolita, it’s like father-daughter, brother-sister, whatever. But I fucking love this Micro-tank loli and huge John dynamic.

When it comes to Lolita, I absolutely trust her with my life. We do not just work together, we have become true friends and inseparable comrades. Our relationship began from the time of our first meeting in the corridors of an erudite hospital. Lolita was still quite small and at first she was even afraid of me. (And who would not be afraid when such a colossus starts talking to you). As time went. And our friendship with Lola for me grew into something similar to the relationship of brother and sister, and sometimes even father and daughter. She trusted me with her secrets, asked me to help with the development of the hammer, told me about her family. It costs a lot. Over time, our team has become an invincible force in protecting the order and security of Eruditio. I realized that with Lolita by my side, I always have a reliable ally. We have developed excellent communication and trust in each other. She always takes care of my safety, protects me from enemies and helps me to carry out my tasks. Lolita has become for me not only an excellent partner, but also a close friend. In conclusion, I completely trust Lolita with my life, and our relationship is based on mutual respect, friendship and cooperation. Together we are a force that can overcome any difficulties on the way to victory.

Gord doesn't know how much sanity he has left but he's this(🤏) close to snap Valir into millions of pieces. Usually it's Vale who has the brains of the group but he sometimes can't help but to get into silly little arguments with the boy who controls the fire(s).. so it's ups to you who parts them away before Gord does. Hanging out with them never gets bored because Valir always has something to say even if it's random, and it's just you and Vale tagging along with him. Training sometimes gets a bit out of the hand, because you know..fire and wind. But in the end, they're both reliable friends, even if the three of you give Gord intense headaches, deep down he cares for all of you.

Can you Bodybuild and Do MMA?

Bodybuilding and MMA might seem like an odd couple. You’ve got bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson where the goal is big, defined muscles. Then you look over at MMA legends like Khabib Nurmagomedov or Daniel Cormier. Here, the appeal is more about strength and endurance than looking like they’ve been carved from marble — although both could undoubtedly end your day quickly if you caught them on a bad one.

But wait! There’s a subset of fighters like Paulo Costa, Yoel Romero, and Brock Lesnar who seem to have found a way to fuse these two worlds. So that begs the question: Can you bodybuild and do MMA?

Short answer:

Yes, you can. But … you won’t be doing it exactly like a pure bodybuilder would, nor will you be purely MMA-focused if you’re serious about symmetry and size. Let’s dig into how you can balance these two physically demanding disciplines without giving up size or mobility.

Welcome to Round 1 of the Wasted Woman Poll, the tournament to see which fridged woman deserved better!

Thank you everyone for your patience for Round 1 to begin. Now that the semester is over, I finished the list of match-ups for the Round 1 bracket.

There were 89 contestants for this tournament. Anyone familiar with tournaments knows that it doing a 89-contestant, single-elimination tournament would be annoying. Rather than cutting out 25 contestants to make it a 64-contestant tournament, I opted to use the format of a 64-contestant tournament, just with some of the poll in Round 1 (a majority of them, actually) being three-way polls with a single winner rather than solely two-way polls. So out of the 89 contestants going into Round 1, only 32 will go on to Round 2. Many of the listings in Round 1 will be characters from the same series going against each other, so that the future rounds will be more varied.

The tournament will be split into 4 sets of 8 polls each, with every poll running for a whole link. Below the cut will be the list of match-ups for each set and when the polls will premiere.

If there are any mistakes at all (spelling, if a character appears twice, if the media someone is listed under is incorrect, etc.) please let me know! I did double-check it, but I'm only human so errors do happen.

Our apologies to the Grue-Believers expecting Without Warning (1980), but Ghost Story (1981) is a film the Grue-Crew have been keeping their collective eyes on for a few years, patiently waiting for it to move from PPV to a subscription service. Rest assured, Without Warning is already rescheduled to record in late November 2024.

Ghost Story’s cast and crew sports eight Oscar winners plus several nominees, and yet, the Grue-Crew are divided in their appreciation. Compromises and sacrifices must be made when transforming a 500-page, complexly plotted novel into a two-hour movie, and the results are hit-and-miss. Despite its faults, it’s a remarkable film, and the crew has much to discuss.

At the time of this writing, Ghost Story is available to stream from Amazon Prime (for a short time) and multiple PPV sources. It is also available on physical media as a Blu-ray formatted disc from Scream Factory. 

Every two weeks, Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1980s podcast will cover another horror film from the 1980s. The next episode’s film, chosen by Jeff, will be The Blob (1988)! Classic Era covered the original 1958 version, and a previous 80s crew covered this version in episode 126 almost seven years ago.
