— Bradley Spencer
Standard Facts:
Bradley (Stanley) Spencers are trans men with brown skin, an overload of freckles, dark hair and eyes. They stand at 5'5 feet and usually prefer to wear jeans and sweaters, although they love to cross-dress.
They are mischievous, at times immature, loud and hyperactive. Some of them may be violent, psychopathic and desperate, others may seem well adjusted and only show their chaotic side during certain moments. They are not known for their self control and are too flippant with their own safety.
A lot of Bradleys can shapeshift with their Narrator powers and they use this power for evil (turning into adorable calico cats)
Bradleys get their Narrator powers when they overpowered their Narrators and made themselves admin of the Offices. Their former Narrators are John Katzenbach
Bradley Meier
The first developed Bradley on this blog. Met his future husband Franky after getting murdered by him several times and fell hopelessly in love.  He left the Office with Franky eventually and they made a nice life for themselves. They don’t visit but Bradley keeps in touch with Stel de Grammont.  Married to: Franky Meier (@dorkydaddyclub) Children: Cocoa and Marshmallow Meier Uncle in law: Ludolf Meier His former Narrator: John Katzenbach His former Mariella: Alice Nero (@thegrimdarkoffice) His former Curator: Frances Langston His former Adventure Line: Arvan Murphey Lives in: the Outside with Franky
Bradley Spencer
The new 'standard' Bradley who is slowly becoming the relevant version on this blog. He made friends with Maso and Cas, and managed to escape back to the Outside for a few months. When he came back, he had taken Ezra Jaxden and Mallory Scott with him. Dating: Ezra Jaxden, Mallory Scott Interested in: Cas (@networksupported) His former Narrator: John Katzenbach Lives in: His own Office
Crowley Spencer
The prototype Bradley Spencer, the guy who existed before Bradley. Came back to the blog because he really wanted attention. His Narrator: John (Employee 112) Lives in: His own Office
Curley Spencer
A Bradley who is deaf. Wears big glasses and has a head full of stubborn curls, hence the name. Unlike other Bradleys who can only shapeshift due to their Narrator powers, Curley is a werecat. Interested in: Dmitri Von Diamongal (@anetherealtale) Lives in: Dad!Jon's Office
Cryley Spencer
A formerly doomed Bradley who sought solace in Dad!Jon's Office after escaping from an abusive Narrator. He is one of the only Bradleys who didn't manage to overpower his Narrator. He has recovered and now lives happily with his boyfriend, Marcel. Dating: Marcel Sommers Lives in: Dad!Jon's Office

Halloween Movie Challenge
Every day in October, except the days I don't, I am watching a randomly chosen Halloween-themed horror movie for the first time. Or for the first twenty-four days of October bc my list runs out then.
The first two weeks...are below
TRICK OR TREAT
1986 / directed by Charles Martin Smith / written by Joel Soisson, Michael S. Murphey and Rhet Topham (and Glen Morgan & James Wong, uncredited)
A heavy metal-themed Nightmare on Elm Street clone (the villain even does the "hands reaching through the wall" thing, but with a speaker), with cameos by Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne, the latter playing a Satanic Panic-spewing TV preacher. This one has a strange legacy on the whole: future X-Files scribe (and uncredited co-writer) Glen Morgan is featured in his only acting role, and the director went on to make Air Bud...and then define his career around animal movies. Fair enough! This one's pretty fun, with a long first act of high school bullying highlighted with a energetic chase sequence, though not especially Halloween-y, given its name (though the version I watched was titled Ragman?)
🎃🎃🎃.5/5
TALES OF HALLOWEEN
2015 / directed by [a lot of people] / written by [a lot of people]
The top Letterboxd review calls this "Trick 'R Treat if it was designed by a committee at a horror convention" and that just about sums it up. It has the requisite horror cameos - a litany of 80s final girls are joined by Joe Dante and John Landis, and John Landis is convincing in the role of a terrible person whose son is a monster for some reason. This one has way too many segments, and they're unsurprisingly same-y. Two stories have a twist where a child-sized killer turns out to be a demon, two of them feature gangs of evil kids, and none of them are very fun, though they feature so many of the winking in-jokes filmmakers mistake for fun. This is the type of movie where a candy will have the word "Carpenter" on it, written in the Halloween titles font, because hey. Remember John Carpenter? Remember? Remember John Carpenter? The oddest part is that this movie's format is very close to 2015's better A Christmas Horror Story, but they're totally unrelated?
🎃🎃/5
HELL HOUSE LLC
2015 / written & directed by Stephen Cognetti
Found footage movie that makes decent use of its rundown-Halloween-haunt setting & has some good scares with evil clown dolls, but is pretty routine, and does that mediocre found footage thing where it can't let any of the background scares breathe without a crash zoom and a scare chord.
🎃🎃🎃/5
MAY
2002 / written & directed by Lucky McKee
To call May a slasher movie doesn't really represent it. As a portrait of a loner among urban alienation, it's of a kind with Taxi Driver and the first act of Beau is Afraid, with unbearably real performances by Angela Bettis and Jeremy Sisto. May is psychological and restrained, striving for a queasy discomfort before it escalates into full-on bloodshed. This is the least Halloween-y film so far, but the final act is on Halloween night, and culminates in a shot that's haunting and lyrical in equal measure.
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃/5
HACK-O-LANTERN
1988 / directed by Jag Mundhra / written by Dave Eisenstark & Carla Robinson
Direct-to-video horror classic featuring a deeply apathetic son of the Devil and a musical number featuring deaths-by-magic-guitar. Alternatively tediously padded and gloriously deranged, but then again, that's direct-to-video horror babyyyyyyy. Jag Mundhra had a career directing direct-to-video sleaze in the US, but made prestige movies in India?
🎃🎃🎃/5
DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW
1981 / directed by Frank De Felitta / story by J.D. Feigelson & Butler Handcock, teleplay by Feigelson
A TV movie, but you'd only know it from its 4:3 ratio & commercial break fades-to-black. Dark Night of the Scarecrow is a creepy gem, well-directed by de Felitta - a novelist with a sideline directing TV movies - with an eye towards the details of small town life. The lack of gore is made up with by stark, elemental horror imagery, and the horrors of humanity: a mob murders a developmentally disabled man for a crime he didn't commit, and gets off the hook for it - gets cheered, in fact, by the townsfolk. But soon a mysterious scarecrow is appearing in the fields, and the killers start to die...not a killer scarecrow movie, but something subtler, chillier, the horror of barns and grain silos and farmer's fields.
🎃🎃🎃🎃/5
HAUNT
2019 / written & directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods
Extreme haunted houses are stupid.
While some use it as a mere William Castle-ian conceit, others take it seriously. Who could've guessed that if you replace themed scares and actors with people who will literally, actually hurt you, you'd still be scared? Only the Einsteins who act flabbergasted when the actors they hired with the pitch "you can hurt people and they signed something that said they can't sue you" turn out to disregard safe words. In Haunt, an extreme haunted house is a front for a murder-cult, which is more respectable than it being some guy doing the Evermore Park of frights. Haunt is a very pedestrian slasher, but a sincere one, and a modern one (the victims check the creepy house's Yelp reviews), which I'll take over a winking 80s homage any day.
🎃🎃🎃/5
THE MIDNIGHT HOUR
1985 / directed by Jack Bender / written by Bill Bleich
Delightful little made-for-TV number, heavily inspired by Thriller. In 1985, this was trashed for its cliches, but now it's the cliches that make it so endearing. This one has its own musical number, a starring turn for LeVar Burton, some quality zombie effects and a lighthearted air, and excellent Halloween-y vibes to it, of course, courtesy of future Lost director Jack Bender. It also has a weirdly overqualified soundtrack; I really didn't expect to hear The Smiths repeatedly in a made-for-TV Halloween movie, but here we are.
🎃🎃🎃🎃/5
NIGHT OF THE DEMONS
1988 / directed by Kevin S. Tenney / written by Joe Augustyn
Night of the Demons has a gnarly final act, but spends way too much time getting there, and too much of that time is spent with interchangeable assholes bumbling about.
🎃🎃.5/5
THE CHILD
1977 / directed by Robert Voskanian / written by Ralph Lucas
A classical Weird 70s Horror Movie, which means a relatively simple plot told in the most inscrutable way possible, a lot of stark tight close-ups and quick cuts, and a preoccupation with psychics. The last act is a bit of a conventional zombie runaround, but everything before that is chilly 70s gold. By far the least Halloween-y film here, but there's an amazing moment with a Jack-O-Lantern.
🎃🎃🎃.5/5

SCARY MOVIE
1991 / directed by Daniel Erickson / written by Daniel Erickson, David Lane Smith, and Mark Voges
No, not that one; this one is a regional horror flick from Texas, from 1991, and starring John Hawkes as a gormless nerd touring a haunted house - the type so anxious to avoid a snake pit he ends up falling into a snake pit, which, relatable. The wonderful aesthetics of a local haunted house dominate this film, directed with sly attention to detail by Erickson, which follows Hawkes' character as an escaped madman lurks in the haunted house. Or does he? A surreal psychological story more than a slasher, it takes a while to get somewhere, but that a while is full of local atmosphere (similar to Tobe Hooper's classic The Funhouse).

“Worker’s Song” is a phenomenal one as well, I recommend the Longest John’s version for an easy to find traditional rendition (LJ is the same band who did the popular version of Wellerman before the shitty TikTok cover bands claimed it. Drop kick Murpheys does a great heavy punk version too, but LJ is better if you want the folkier one)
And “16 Tons” by Tennessee Earnie Ford is a great classic about the West Virginia mines.
There’s also tons of railroad songs out there. Folk music is by far my favorite genre specifically because it’s music written for the working class, BY the working class. And a lot of sea shanties ARE work songs. The wellerman is literally about a disgruntled crew, weeks into a whaling expedition, desperately waiting for the Wellerman, (which is essentially their supply ship) so they can have like. Food.
If you like the wellerman, try on this classic

Welcome to the bizarre blorbo bracket!
We all know what a blorbo is, but have you ever wondered what the weirdest one out there is? If so, this bracket is for you. From forgotten side-characters to historical figures to real life boats, this poll aims to find the oddest most obscure object of obsession. The winner of this poll will be the strangest fave on the Strange Fave website, and submissions are open HERE.
Rules:
Blorbo is a flexible term, but usually applies to sentient characters. The key here is that you love them & adore them & would call them "poor little meow meow" and other such terms of affection. If you want to scrunch them like an accordion, put them in a salad spinner, tenderly care for their wounds, or wring them out like a washcloth, you're on the right track.
Blorbo does not have to be from your shows. They can be from your books, your videogames, your history books, or really anything you can think of.
Real people are allowed BUT only if they are ALREADY PUBLIC/HISTORICAL FIGURES & NOT ON THIS WEBSITE. I am not putting Neil Gaiman or whoever in here without their express permission.
No Harry Potter or MCYT.
None of marvel's avengers, unless you're getting REAL weird with it.
The more obscure the character is, OR the less blorbo'd they are, the more likely they are to be included! There are shows with millions of viewers a week, but because their target audience is extremely mainstream, not many people feel this way about them. If you want to put the guy from Grand Designs in a shoebox like an injured baby bird, you're in the right place.
Bonus points for being funny.
I will be submitting a couple mod bias picks, but I'm not saying who they are to make things fairer.
No OCs/AUs otherwise we'd be here all day.
this is an sfw bracket. You can submit characters you think are hot n sexy and whatever, but please don't make me look at anything explicit!
Rounds will last a week, looking forward to seeing your little guys!
Tagging for reachies:
@canonmisogynyvictimstournament, @victimsofyaoipoll, @fictional-malewife-tournament, @character-of-all-time, @gayelderstourney, @look-how-they-massacred-them, @overworkedblorbobattle, @hot-take-tournament & @best-female-villain-tournament

So, as season 6 ends, these are my top ten favorite characters after the season. This is based purely on how I personally feel about the characters, so yeah.
(By the way this only includes people who were ALIVE at some point during this season. Sorry Monty)
10 - Madi
While Madi May have been an interesting and good addition to season 5, I feel like the conflict with shadeheda had been rushed into the writing for one reason or another. I feel as is you can’t even consider it a B plot line, it’s more of like a D or an E plot line due to its irrelevance.
Still, Lola Flannery’s performance this season is enough to give her character the spot of number ten. She played a convincing bad guy and I give her major props.
9 - Diyoza
Ah, poor Diyoza. All she wanted was a life for her unborn child, only to be fucked over by the Anomaly.
The major point of her character this season was to show how Octavia is learning from her past, and how she’s changing.
I think that the reason Diyoza doesn’t place higher on my list is because she was “killed off” so early in the season, but I have a feeling we haven’t quite seen the last of her.
8 - Jackson
A strange choice? Yes. A good one? Also yes.
In a show as wild as the 100, the one thing you wouldn’t expect is for things to stay the same. However, throughout the entirety of the show’s run, Jackson has been a silent but unchanging character. He cares about others deeply, and is all around just a good, simple side character over all.
7 - Kane
Kane, the moral compass.
Kane has been a pretty solid character throughout the show’s run, and I’m glad the writers respected his actual character’s morals.
Though I’m sad to see Henry Ian Cusick go, I feel as though if they’d kept Kane in his new body it would be throwing away everything about Kane’s character from the last seasons. Though I found him whiny in the last season, his character really stayed true until the very end.
6 - Joesephine.
This one is a Hot Take™
Just because a character is a Villain doesn’t mean you can’t like them.
Joespehine was WRITTEN to be likeable! That’s the POINT! She’s genuinely funny, charming, and a bit of a sociopath! What’s not to love? Sure, she tries to kill Clarke and everything...but that’s not important.
She kinda reminds me of the Joker, a villain that everyone LOVED. Though she’s a bad person, she still ranks #6 of my list.
5 - Gabriel
Okay first off...Chuku Modu is FINE.
Secondly, his character is so unique yet realistic. Eventually the guilt of killing hundreds of people to live forever would weigh on the primes, but it didn’t take long for Gabriel to feel guilty. He knew what the primes were doing was wrong, so he stood up against it.
Just overall a good guy. Not much else to say about him lol.
4 - Bellamy Blake
Though Bellamy may have ranked #1 in previous seasons, this season wasn’t about him in the slightest. In fact, it was more about his relationships with Clarke and Octavia than it was about HIM.
Still, he’s still likeable. And he’s a main player, if not THE main player in saving Clarke. Plus Bob Morley always equals brownie points. Always.
3 - Clarke Griffin
The queen of the show herself. This season it was entirely about her, and her face off with Josephine.
Coming in at a strong number three, Clarke is a badass bisexual goddess. The only reason she’s a three and not a one is A) Other characters really shone this season and B) I think we got too much of her. Some scenes (especially ones with Josephine) felt unnessicary and like they were trying to show her off as much as possible. Other than that, Eliza Taylor provides a strong variety in her acting skills with switching from being Josephine to being Clarke.
2 - John Murphey
From the opening episode, I had a feeling this was gonna be his season. I forget which scene exactly, but in the pilot of this season they had him in a scene that could have been anyone else, but they made it a Murphey scene. And then in the second episode, saving Clarke from herself and then saving his friends? This really was Murphey’s season.
Him fooling the primes/believers in the last few episodes was very true to his character, and seeing him continue to flip-flop between being a good guy and a bad guy is always fun.
And that leaves my number one character of season six...
1 - Octavia Blake.
I’ve been the biggest O Stan since I first watched the show. Marie Avgeropoulos is a stunning woman and that’s not a negative in any way.
I loved her switch to evil is season five, and I knew a redemption arc was coming this season. I loved seeing her question her morals when she was deciding the fate of the human race down in the bunker, and how she did the only thing that would keep her people alive. But then, and I’m guessing from the guilt, she found herself being defined by the wrongs she’s done.
This season was her saying “No, I am still Octavia Blake. I am come Skaikru, come Trigeda, come WONKRU, NOT Bloodrena.”
And I LOVE that for her.

Em’s 200 Followers Challenge
Tumblr media
Wow! Can't believe I've reached 200 followers! Thank you so much for reading my writing and an extra special thank you to those who leave comments! 💜
To celebrate I have put together a challenge which is open to anybody and everybody, regardless of experience. If you've never written before, give it a go - I'm sure it will be great! Moodboards, edits and headcanons would also be awesome!
Rules:
1 - My main fandom is obvs The Last Kingdom, but if you'd like to write for Bridgerton, Peaky Blinders, Merlin, or Shadow and Bone, that's fine too.
2 - You may write anything you like, as long as it has appropriate warnings. If you don't write, you can make moodboards and edits, or even give headcanons a go.
3 - Send me an ask with the prompts you'd like to use from the lists below. One list has quotes, the other has AUs and tropes. You can choose as many prompts as you like. Once two people have chosen a quote I will cross it off the list and it will be unavailable, however there is no limit on the AUs and tropes.
4 - Please tag me in your wonderful creations and use #ems200.
5 - Please use 'read more' if it's long so it's easier to reblog.
6 - the 'deadline' will be 31st January 2022 when I will post a masterlist of entries.
