Mixels Frenzy: The End

And we’ve officially come to the end of the art project; closing my own tribute to this underrated little gem of a franchise that has left a huge impact on my life. All 81 Mixels, drawn, colored, and presented! Overall it has been a swell time revisiting this series, and drawing out all these fun, wacky, and imaginative looking creatures. Getting to talk about all my personal favorite characters, while also finding some new appreciation for some others.

I feel very accomplished working on this project, it allowed me to sharpen up my drawing skills, create my own release schedule, as well as experimenting around with the color pencils set that I got for Christmas. I’ll probably do something like this again for a different series/franchise in the future, but for now, I’m going to move on to some new smaller projects. I’ve been drawing Mixel characters for nearly 3 months and I kinda want to take a break for now. But I’ll certainly get back to it at some point, I might even consider drawing out all the Maxes.

Anyways, Thank you to everyone who has stuck around for this 2+ month long project. I hope you enjoyed this little series as much I did, and that you’ll stay tuned to more of my upcoming art pieces.

I made art for Jeff Bennett’s Birthday in 2024! He’s my most favorite voice actor of Mixels! He voiced Dribbal, Gurggle, Jinky, and Camillot while voiced Ranger Jinx as background Mixel as his voice is the same sound to Choose Goose from Adventure Time, these five are my most favorites! I drew Jeff Bennett Mix with sharp teeth smiling creepy, they were singing Pop Goes the Mixel (Mixel Version of Pop Goes the Weasel) in rock music when someone arrived. 

Dribbal - Jeff voiced him in a normal voice, but different tone in sound bubbly while he voiced another character with glasses and smart/introverted yet silly personality, he’s my most favorite of Main Mixels! He’s the only one that doesn't have an accent of Main Mixels, but sounded Southern since Jeff Bennett was born in Houston, Texas. 

Gurggle - Jeff voiced him in a thick Italian accent while he voiced another character with a tough and hot-blooded personality, he’s my 5th favorite of Main Mixels!

Jinky - Jeff voiced him in a Scouse accent while he voiced another character with rock music skills and personality with wise traits when he got older, he’s my 3rd favorite of Main Mixels.

Camillot - Jeff voiced him in a British accent while he voiced another character with an ambivert, nervous, and not-so-bright yet determined personality, he’s my 4th favorite of Main Mixels! Jeff returned to voice a major role to Camillot after a supporting role to Dribbal, Gurggle, and Jinky.

MF Day #40: Jinky

The Klinkers is a really cool tribe, the steampunk theme is always a treat to see in content, and the way they utilized it for one of the Mixels tribes is great! Jinky; my favorite of the tribe, pulls off that steampunk look the best! I love the way his design captures his rockstar personality while incorporating objects that are commonly used in the steampunk era.

I also like how his personality presents a part of history of Klinterton. How it used to be a thriving town that threw big heavy metal concerts, with Jinky being one of the members of the band. But as time went on, and the town’s population became smaller and smaller, there must’ve been a loss of interest in the heavy metal genre in the company that made them stop having those concerts. And Jinky, being one of the only few employees left was forced to move on to the future of Klinkerton. But that doesn’t mean he still had music in his heart, being that one spark of hope, and the sole representation that heavy metal was not dead. This was even hinted in the interaction between him and Gox.

Overall, an interesting mixel of the bunch, and probably one of my favorites.
