Hu Qing Yu Tang 胡庆余堂 is a historically significant Chinese pharmaceutical company.

Founded by Hu Xueyan with the “Hui architectural style” 徽派建筑 from his hometown Anhui province in 1874, alongside West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The drugstore opened in 1878 and is now a TCM museum.

Hu Xueyan’s former residence, built in 1875, and also showcasing Hui-style architecture.

I made a playlist of walking tours through (mainly) Jiangnan water towns to let run in the background while I write, and I thought other people might have a use for it, too.

"Later, Wu Guanzhong's paintings saved me. He painted in oils and left behind a large number of realistic landscapes of the Jiangnan region. Following this inspiration, I finally discovered that the Jiangnan classical gardens were what I had been searching for, the aesthetic system that "Ripe Town" desired. The framing of these gardens is the composition, and the beauty is achieved through the use of layers and depth. Most of these gardens are small in size, but by changing one's perspective, the scenery changes. This is akin to camera movement. for some reason Ye Sheng calling Sakatoku Aki "not very smart, but good at following orders" then confessing and kissing her couple of scenes after feels so much more insulting and disturbing than Ruri calling Kogure stupid while being clearly shocked just learning she's dead. In fact, I'm so progressively pissed off thinking about it (and about how Mai first mentioned her to Caesar) so in future I might try to develop her character and bg to be thoughtful and insightful but extremely suppressed and write some alternative plot fic having Sheng calling her smart eventually, just out of rage about this. And also in process probably having them both survive but thats secondary
