Jester King Hazy IPA (Picked up at Whole Foods in Plymouth Meeting, PA). A 3 of 4. Didn't realize Jester King distributed this far and wide these days, and this is a perfectly fine hazy IPA. Has some nice orange citrus zest and pith notes in the nose and a few other tropical ones as well. Body has a slight creaminess and light bitterness in the finish.

I drink a lot of different beers in the course of my days, it will likely be my demise. I’m okay with that. Carsie Blanton sings ships are safe in harbor but it’s not what ships are for. Drinking wild ales, mixed fermentation beers, and barrel aged…whatever, is a bit of adventure.

This beer is a delightful passage in a sea of otherwise unremarkable malt. I’ll stow the sailing metaphor as I’m nearly three sheets to the wind but GD I’ll be looking to get more of this treasure before I cut and run.

Jester King's 2018 Spon Muscat (Thanks, Ian!). A 4 of 4. Great funk in the nose -- lots of barnyard and quite a bit of grape sweetness, too. The body has a nice tartness and heft to it with a dry and acidic finish and some nice barrel notes, too. Really excellent stuff -- restrained, complex, and on par with some of the best of the best
