Likelihood of companions showing up in Veilguard: my thoughts

So, I was thinking about Veilguard and who I want to come back, so here’s my take on who I think is coming back!

Warden: lol no bitch, we’re never seeing them again. That would require giving them a voice and personality. Likelihood is we get another letter.

Alistair: We’re pretty far from Ferelden, if you made him king I could see him getting a mention but not marching his ass up to Tevinter/Rivain/Antiva/the Anderfels. Possibly another letter. If you kept him a warden, he’s either dead or could possibly show up in the Anderfels? I could see whoever got left in the fade tying in with the Veil Jumper plotline, maybe.

Morrigan: Possibly? Theres a possibility if she drank from the well she’s now bound to Solas because of him killing Mythal. I could see the Veil fuckery doing some weird shit to Kieran though.

Leliana: If you made her Divine, definitely. If you didn’t, I wouldn’t say so. She had such a big role in Inquisition, I don’t see her playing a huge role here.

Zevran: We’re in Antiva, we better see the boy! He is canonically with a romanced Warden in Inquisition, but I could see him taking a break from that to take care of Antivan things for a bit.

Wynne: canonically dead. Sad for her. RIP mage granny.

Sten: He’s the Arishok now, I see him tying into the Qunari plotline.

Oghren: please god no.

Shale: I hope so, but since she was DLC I would doubt it.

Loghain: He’s dead babe. Either you killed him in Origins or I’m assuming like nobody saved him in the Fade in Inquisition, and see what I said about the Veil Jumpers in Alistair’s section.

The Awakening Squad (minus Anders/Justice): doing this as a collective cause I’m not typing all that out. Probably not. Might see a couple of them if we go to Weisshaupt while we’re in the Anderfels.

Hawke: If you left them in the fade, again, could show up with the Veil Jumpers. Since there is a possibility they’re dead, I could see them just sending a “hey I’m fine in Kirkwall” message if they’re alive.

Anders: maybe, maybe not. This game seems like it’ll have less emphasis on the Mage/Templar conflict, but we haven’t seen him since 2, so who knows.

Fenris: We’re in Tevinter, I’m hoping he shows up! Let us help him kill slavers please.

Merrill: Seeing how Solas’s agents use the eluvian network, I could see her showing up again. Possibly with the Veil Jumpers

Isabella: I don’t think so. If she shows up, might be part of the Lords of Fortune plotline.

Sebastian: No. Might get referenced, but he is DLC.

Aveline: I don’t think so either. I think she’s too busy keeping things together in Kirkwall. Also ACAB includes Aveline.

Carver/Bethany: If you made them wardens, possibly show up in the Anderfels? But seeing how customizable their appearances are, I doubt it.

Blackwall/Rainier: Again, possibly in the Anderfels. Or elsewhere if he didn’t get recruited into the wardens.

Bull: I hope so, I wanna see the chargers for at least one mission. But since he can be dead if you kept him loyal to the Qun, don’t have high hopes.

Cassandra: if you made her divine, sure. I could also see her leading remnants of the inquisition if she isn’t divine.

Dorian: We’re in Tevinter. If Varric or Harding don’t mention they have a magister friend that can help, I’m going to be very disappointed.

Vivienne: Again, if she’s divine, yes. If she’s not, probably a letter writing cameo.

Cole: I could see him having a very cool plotline with the Veil breaking down and him either being a spirit with human elements or a human with spirit elements.

Sera: I could see the Friends of Red Jenny playing a role, if not her specifically.

Bonus Advisors:

Josephine: Maybe. Could see her helping with Inquisition remnants like Cassandra.

Cullen: No, cause Greg Ellis is an asshole.

Companions reaction to the Inquisitor asking them to be their Maid of Honor/Best Man at their wedding? (Cassandra should've been at the wedding with Sera and my Inquisitor tbh)

Cassandra: The air is filled, immediately and impossibly, with hearts. So few of Cassandra's friends are free to promise themselves to a spouse, and so over the years the Seeker had relinquished that childhood dream to oblivion. But now there is such joy among her dearest friends, and no matter how long or short the engagement and planning Cassandra will be there for everything they need.

And on the day will cry more than anyone else. Everyone will be threatened into forgetting this about her.

Solas:

Varric: Now this is the happy ending to a story he can get behind. Promise an open bar and he is in.

For all of his bluster and faked nonchalance, Kirkwall's viscount is deeply touched. Over the course of this inquisition he has made friends to rival the ones in Kirkwall, and the fact that those sentiments are returned enough to merit such an invitation mean the world. Immediately he takes over logistics, and no matter if there is limited time to plan the wedding goes off without a hitch.

His speech is legendary. People cry. He's putting it in his next book.

Blackwall: It's ridiculous. It's a common request, from a friend, to stand up with them at their wedding. After all this time it shouldn't even be a surprise. But the question brings him to his proverbial knees. For so long, even after everyone knew the truth, Thom Rainier had assumed himself to be unlovable. Tolerated in a time of war for what he brought to the table, but not worthy of true regard.

This is a gift the finally unlocks those chains. He might not know much about weddings, but no matter what they need their would be warden does his best. Like Cassandra, he openly weeps at the ceremony.

Sera: Nothin' like love to make a wedding a party! This may be the one time Sera tones down the pranks, too focused on making sure both the little and big people are happy. Dorian is heavily consulted on clothing, and Skyhold's resident Jenny might even submit to a haircut.

The bakers in Thedas weep for her designs. They are perfect. Might go into the cake business, if cookies don't hold out.

Whole thing goes off without a hitch. Well, except for the actual hitch. That goes perfect.

Vivienne: Darling she is thrilled. No matter their venue or plans Madame de Fer is quick to make sure they have the best. Appointments open, caterers are suddenly free, and her tailors are on hand to make sure that everyone in the wedding party looks their best.

There is some distant sorrow later, watching the couple dance the first of the rest of their lives together, but not for all the gold in the world would she have traded her life with Bastien. That was more than enough for one heart-- it is no trial to be happy for her friends.

Dorian: No matter his travel plans or the demands of the magisterium, the moment they ask Dorian is firmly rooted in place. These people have welcomed him like no other, and to be honored with such a role is...he will not cry in public. It is unseemly for a magister.

Instead he make sure everything he touches is made perfect for them and all problems directed his way. Let them relish in the bliss of their engagement-- he will fight the florists until they realize Minrathous roses are the only way to go. And on the day, he sits patiently with both spouses until their cosmetics are perfect. But that time is also spent in quiet friendship, a moment of peace before their special moment.

Later he will refuse to ruin his own foundation with tears in public, and be quietly smug that his knock down brawl with the sommelier resulted in the best vintages at table.

The Iron Bull: There are flowers everywhere. From the moment he is asked Operation: Wedding is a full go for the Chargers. Marriage is unknown under the Qun, and so in true Ben-Hassrath form Bull takes it upon himself to learn exactly what this role will entail.

Three crashed marriages and a lot of cursing later....well, the venue is perfect, Rocky has invented a confetti cannon, and Krem has earned his place at the Maker's side for turning out a formal coat that will fit his shoulders in record time.

He cries at the ceremony. Few guests are brave enough to comment.

Cole: "Stand as a witness, the best man even if you aren't a man. Be there to celebrate, always a good friend and I want him at my side. I want that too!"

Any guest with ill intent conveniently forget the wedding date and location. One of the florists ties a bow on his hat. People cry, but the tears don't hurt. Its confusing, but he's happy to be there.

Turns out cake is something enjoyed on both sides of the veil.

Imagine, it's 9:44 Dragon. The Inquisitor swears upon all they believe in that they are going to kill Fen'Harel. Not for what he did to stop the Evanuris; she actually thinks he had a point there, especially with the whispers of Mythal's servants now in her head. But for what he wants to do. The destruction of the Veil. The unleashing of armageddon. The end of everything that everyone has built for 5000 years.

Time passes, now it's 9:53. They've been after Fen'Harel for nine years now. But it wasn't her only life. She settled down with Rainier, had kids. Made new friends all across Thedas. Helped organize the Red Jennies a little. Learned more about the Avaar's perspectives on spirits and magic. Suddenly Varric sends word: They've found Solas. Come quickly. Bring a weapon.

and when the Inquisitor gets there, spending ten years of her life planning to kill an Elvhen God, she instead finds three of them, two of whom - Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain - are blighted monstrosities. The very same gods her people have prayed to for millennia...are essentially arch-ultra-darkspawn.

What in creation must be running through her head now. Anger at Solas? Pity? Concern for this 'Rook' Varric mentions? The realization she could suddenly kill THREE elven gods in one swift action?

I'm excited for Veilguard. I'm excited to kill Solas.

Ephraim Sokolov and Dana Singh fight for a bag. Dana Singh strangles Ephraim Sokolov with the straps and runs. Bren stabs Annalise��in the back with a trident. Brayden shoots a poisonous blow dart into Jenny's neck, slowly killing her. Red kills Vidalia with her own weapon.

Round 2: Day

Constantine Rainier severely slices Avner Ivory with a sword. Beck silently snaps The Girl's neck. Red taints Scarlett's food, killing them. Ahava severely injures Atlas and leaves him to die.

Round 3: Night

Constantine Rainier falls into a frozen lake and drowns. Traveler Wife kills Flor while he is sleeping. Mel bashes Red's head in with a mace.

Round 4: Day

Mel poisons Brayden's drink. he drinks it and dies. Kay Rainier dies trying to escape the arena.

Ahava accidentally steps on a landmine.

Since the fandom has risen like a new Blight dragon, I thought it was time to share my favourite Inquisitors. if anyone else wants to do this, consider it an open tag, I want to see your favourite Inquisitors!

Name: Estelle Trevelyan Class and Speciality: Mage - Knight Enchanter Romanced: Cullen Rutherford (Married, so got him off Lyrium.) Events: Softened Leliana and made her Divine / Saved Chargers/ Freed Mages / Trevalyan gossip stopped with diplomacy / Cole human / Gave Blackwall his freedom / Stroud stayed in Fade / Wardens allied / Celene empress with Briala / Morrigan drank from well / Told Cassandra to reform Seekers / Inquisition as peacekeepers/ NOT Red Jenny /Wants to redeem Solas Best friends: Dorian, Lelianna, Jospephine, Cassandra, Bull, Varric. Appearance: Has white hair due to a magic spell gone wrong, her hair was once almost black. There is a small scar over her left eye from the accident that she covers with her hair. She originally had hazel eyes like amber before the Anchor turned them green. She considers herself Andrastian and that Andraste was a mage. She hoped having a mage as Inquisitor would help show one could be in power and yet not dominate the world. Name: Rhiannon 'Raven' Lavellan Class and Speciality: Mage - Necromancer Romanced: Cullen Rutherford (married him, so he quit Lyrium) Events: Hardened Leliana and made her Divine / Saved Chargers / Conscripted Mages / Cole human / Made Blackwall a real warden / Celene empress with Briala/ Saved their clan/ Told Cassandra to disband Seekers and share secret/ Left Hawke in Fade / Allowed Wardens to stay /Morrigan drank from well (Rhi almost did but she was tied to Falon'Din not Mythal through her vallaslin)/ Disbanded Inquisition /Not Red Jenny / Willing to stop Solas. Best friends : Dorian and Leliana. Appearance: She bares the vallaslin of Falon'Din so the irony of being a necromancer is not lost on her, but she tends to only raise the dead of shemlen. Her clan say her hair is as black as the ravens that often follow her. Rhiannon's eyes were always green, but of a much duller hue than what they are now thanks to the Anchor's magic. Bio: My angry little Dalish Necromancer who didn't trust the conclave and went to spy on it. Saw through Solas's bullshit the moment she met him and didn't trust him, going so far as to punch him. Hated being considered the Herald of Andraste because she didn't believe in the shemlen god and spat back at any comment regarding it. Saw Vivienne's game so refused her offer to join. Decided if Thom Rainier wanted to be a Warden so badly then he should, to atone for his past crimes. It took two shemlen- a certain former Templar with a troubled past and a cheeky Tevinter necromancer to sooth her nature and she agreed to be Inquisitor because the rifts threatened her clan too. Chose Leliana as less of three evils, because she knew the other choices would be worse for her people. She went back to where her clan were with Cullen after disbanding the Inquisition and built a home outside the city walls of Wycombe where he is loved as one who helped save their clan, even going so far as to have a bonding ritual with her. She was surprised how welcomed she was by the Rutherford family and through them has mellowed even further, especially with how the clan are liked in Wycombe. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Name: Kara Tevelyan Class and speciality : Rogue - Assassin (archer) Romanced: Blackwall/ Thom Rainier. Events: Hardened Leliana and made her Divine / Saved Chargers / Seeker's secret to be known, but let Seeker's end / Freed mages / Cole human / Celene Empress with Briala/ Cullen quit Lyrium/ Trevelyan house gossip stopped with force / Freed Blackwall / left Alister in Fade/ Allied Wardens / Morrigan drank from well / Inquisition peacekeepers /Did not become Red Jenny / Will do what's needed to stop Solas. Best friends : Dorian, Varric and Leliana. Appearance: Bears a scar down the left side of her face, a result of a target getting a lucky hit. She wears her hair short now for practicality after said target grabbed her ponytail. Kara's eyes were once blue till the Anchor magic overwhelmed them. Bio: A black sheep of the Trevelyans. Her family sent her to protect those in her family going to the Conclave. She has been an assassin for them in their own version of the great Game, so she knew when Vivienne was playing it and choose not to accept her offer. She didn't enjoy being seen as anything to do with the Chantry as she didn't believe in the Maker, but felt Leliana could change it for the better, and took the role of Inquisitor to try and heal the land and do some good for once. She always admired the Wardens, after hearing many stories of their heroic deeds and thought Blackwall was brave to go alone. She knew he was keeping something from her, but also knew of many Wardens having dark pasts so when she found out the truth, she thought of suggesting he become one for real, but couldn't bear to lose him to the Calling so set him free instead. She is angry with Solas, but also understands his dilemma. She spends her time still as Inquisitor with Thom as her pillar of support. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Name: Arwyn Lavellan Class and Speciality: Rogue - Tempest archer Romanced: Dorian Pavus Events: Softened Leliana & made her Divine / Saved his clan / Saved Chargers / Rebuild seekers / Cole human / Celene Empress with Briala/ Freed Blackwall / Left Alistair in Fade/ Allied Wardens / Morrigan drank from the Well / Inquisition Peacekeepers / Became Red Jenny / Wants to redeem Solas. Best friends: Varric, Sera and Bull Appearance: White blonde hair is rare in his clan and he was given the name meaning 'very fair' to celebrate it. Has the vallaslin for Mythal, so was kind of a shock to sort of meet her through Flemeth. But he did not drink from the Well as Dorian was scared for him, telling him later he sensed more than just memories in the water. Arwyn's eyes were a silver grey till the Anchor magic changed them. Bio: Arywn loves exploring, so being asked to scout the Conclave and leave his clan's home was a dream come true and also to get away from being tied into a bonding with someone he didn't love to continue the clan. Ignored when people called him the Herald, knowing he was in a foreign land and already seen as something dangerous so didn't want to rock the boat. Accepted becoming Inquisitor because no one else would do it and hoped a Dalish leading them might help relations. Fell for Dorian the moment they first met and bonded with him over a similar dilemma of being able to love who they wanted. I have quite a few others including a mage Adaar Bullmancer, A Cadash sword and shield Champion Templar supporter and a Solavellan, But they are not playthroughs I enjoyed as much as the above.

lorelai hyun was born to philip  &  hana hyun, respectively an avid outdoor enthousiast who worked as a carpenter, and a workaholic news reporter for the local tv station. she was born and raised in tacoma, washington  &  early childhood memories are filled to the brim with fond memories of family trips to mount rainier national park and the whole family building snowmen in their front yard during icy winters and yelling at her father to push faster on the swings at their nearest playground. likely because she would rather let those memories overshadow the deafening fights she would overheard late at night   —   yelled accusations thrown back and forth, even audible over the sheets she would pull over her face to hide underneath. or perhaps the countless of cancelled family activities because her mom needed to work late to finish another last minute deadline, to which her father would curse under his breath and send her to bed hours early, setting aside a plate of homemade dinner in the fridge. her parents divorced when she was around seven years old. consider it the inevitable result of two people falling out of love and being absolutely  unable  to keep up the facade any longer. god knows they couldn’t even fool a seven year old. the two of them agreed to share custody  &  stayed on rather friendly terms, though rory stayed with her mom for the majority of the school year. after all, hana planned on staying in tacoma for her job whereas philip considered the divorce his prime time to spread his wings and hop between cities all throughout the west coast in search of   —   well, rory never really knew what he was looking for, only that he seemed happier. it wasn’t much longer than two years after the divorce that both of her parents seemed to have found love again  &  each entered a whole new honeymoon phase. philip met a travel agent from san francisco while staying in the area  &  meeting daniel westbrook caused a change of heart regarding that job hopping and moving city to city. he settled down with him in his apartment in the city, where he seemed quite willing to stay for the foreseeable future. the two of them chose to have no kids together, seizing the opportunity to travel together for most of the year. but the two of them never once forgot to send a postcard for rory all the way to washington from wherever it was they visited. hana fell head over heels in love with cole massey, a big shot commercial lawyer from seattle, with the wish to settle down and have his own family to come home to every night. it seemed hana sought similar warmth as she didn’t waste a minute having her second shot at the  picture perfect  family life. packing both their bags, mom  &  rory left their two bedroom apartment in the city centre of tacoma towards a a four bedroom home in the outskirts of seattle. although those two empty bedrooms wouldn’t stay empty for particularly long. hana got pregnant only months after the two started dating  &  the revelation sped up the process of marriage and becoming a family even more so. the once workaholic quit her job as a news reporter, allowing her to be a stay at home mother to the pair of twins   —   lainey  &  logan. the two new borns were the new subject of her affection, two adorable chubby babies to coo at and take care of in her new found spare time. entirely caught up in the world of adorable baby clothes, becoming one of the most active mommy volunteers at primary school and planning play dates with the other moms in the neighbourhood. she no longer needed rory to fulfill her desires of being a mother, no longer depended on her to do chores around the house and no longer was she the only person she could turn to for some family downtime. and rory no longer needed her. at least, technically she didn’t. she was supposed to be able to take care of herself  &  that simple fact seemed enough for both parents to divert most of their attention towards the two dependable little ones. as much as she needed them, she didn’t complain. how does one compete for attention with two little kids, anyway? the situation at home in seattle made her all the more appreciative of the holidays spent in company of her father  &  his new boyfriend. southern california seemed to be a dream, summer holidays spent reading her favourite books from the window sill looking out over the city  &  catching endless rays of sunshine while dipping her toes in the sand, or driving towards yosemite national park for camping trips. those being some of her happiest memories must’ve contributed to her choice to accept the offer she received from stanford, where she majored in english  &  focused on a mix of literature and creative writing. although she diligently spent her freshman year with her nose in the books, hardcore study nights in her dorm quickly turned into giving into her whims  &  wasting away too many hours staring at the social media applications on her phone screen. although she was always fairly present on most platforms, during college she began dipping into the art of writing small snippets of songs  &  posting them to her tiktok account. one video turned into ten, and ten might’ve turned into hundreds of joke songs, songs about her class materials, songs about prompts her followers sent her, love songs about her celebrity crushes and whatever else was burning inside her mind. it was one single viral video on tiktok that caught the attention of revolution records in her senior year  &  after tossing her cap into the air at graduation, she packed her bags and flew to new york city to sign the contract she was offered. she wasn’t entirely sure what they saw in her, and to be quite frank, she still doesn’t. but with songwriting having turned into such a huge part of her life  &  such potential to dip into, she can’t help wanting to give it a shot.

absolute biggest  hopeless romantic  you’ve ever seen   —   falls in love at least five times a day. will fall in love with you if you were nice to her in a dream once. will want to kiss you if you hold open the door for her. you would think your parents getting divorced would really change someone, but she got to see them in love not just once but twice. seeing both her parents go through the honeymoon phase with their respective partners as a kid, she has been daydreaming about a high school sweetheart, promposals and even her wedding dress since she was eight years old. the most  book smart  person you’ll meet but cannot be trusted with her own life. will easily write you a four thousand word essay, doing an intersectional analysis of americanah but don’t ask her to use the stove without burning spaghetti and don’t ask her to file her taxes or make a doctor’s appointment. she gets quite easily overwhelmed with reality sometimes. huge  social butterfly  and gets super energized having people around. unluckily for everyone else, rory doesn’t know when to shut her mouth  &  isn’t the best at reading social cues. she will run her mouth for half an hour only to look at your face and stop in her tracks to ask you if you find her annoying. and then continue to ramble on and on about how she’s sorry. she feels fiercely, has so many emotions to deal with in her tiny body and only has  unhealthy coping mechanisms.  living under extreme stress because of work deadlines? sounds like you’ll be living off coffee until the caffeine makes your soul dissociate from your body. found out someone you fell in love with overnight doesn’t even know your name? sounds like a grand time to get drunk with your girlfriends and fall in love with the first pretty person that talks to you at the bar instead. someone not responding to your text for like five minutes? time for a mental breakdown and convincing yourself they find you a pain and don’t want to talk to you anymore. minor problems just easily turn into unsolvable disasters. this girl absolutely craves  validation.  maybe because she couldn’t ever really find it with her mother, she started looking for it elsewhere. all of her friends, the neighbours, the grocery store cashier who threw her a thankful smile for having the spare change ready to pay for her $2,45 purchase. her favourite drug was her english professors praising her writing, and she is chasing that high ever since   —   renee carlisle giving her any attention is the next drug on her list. literal definition of a  book worm.  eats through books like a maniac. reading felt like the escape from the chaos of her home  &  the whining cries of her younger siblings. she got so caught up in fantasy worlds and brave female characters and overly romanticized men. even now, rory is likely reading at least five books at the same time at any point in her life. she has needed to buy more bookcases to find room for them and that really gets cramped in her new york city apartment. equally a bit of an  amateur writer.  she took quite some creative writing classes  &  definitely spends her spare time writing whatever universes continue to live in her head. as a teenager, she started out writing fiction  &  i definitely imagine she had a soft spot for awful romance books. where she fell in love with the fictional characters in her head at least once or twice. little bit like jane the virgin? would probably settle to write one of those romancey smut books you buy at the gas station for $10 because she would be great at it. but i am thinking she dabbled more into songwriting during college. she knows how to play the piano just a bit  &  she would’ve had a keyboard there to kinda continue learning and she would dabble more and more into writing to music. which eventually, as you read, turned into her big break. i imagine her videos are very similar to  jax writes songs  on tiktok, but she also does some other stuff. would ask her followers for prompts to write music to all the time. i am even imagining she did this little series where followers could send her a story about their crush and she would write  &  sing a little song about them to kinda help these people tell their crush they liked them, all very very cute. but also joke videos, like i am imagining she would’ve written whole ass love songs only to pan the video towards her laptop screen where she’s playing the sims and it ends on one of those  and it was all a simulation  plot twists. like just loads of very casual but funny music videos. that she’s definitely not stopping now.

i actually made a blog for wanted connections  &  you can find it at  @literory.  definitely check that out first  &  foremost, because that’ll include a lot of ideas i have and they’ll be heavily based on those dskjdfks. just tons of little thoughts. but down below there’s also a few other ideas ! roommates  ( rory lives in new york city now, but she literally makes jack shit with music as she’s just been signed, so it would be adorable to live with someone else for the time being ), all of her unrequited loves, that one  ( 1 )  person she can’t get out of her mind and who she may have written countless of songs about, pen pals who met as kids and stayed in touch through handwritten postcards, book club please for the love of god, that one ( 1 )  person she has friendzoned and have to watch her fall in love with all these people who are bad for her while they swear maybe the two of them could be something good, frenemies, major celebrity crush she can’t hide while they bump into each other in headquarters, someone to be the mom / dad friend she didn’t know she needed, mentor figure in the music industry, fake dating pr stunt  ( perhaps to help both their lovey dovey or breakup albums sell better ), online celebrity feuds, exes who run into each other again after a long time, and honestly many more ideas that’ll come up during brainstorming  <3

4. World State. My M!Amell is with Morrigan somewhere and they're in legitimate love. Alistair rules with Anora, Bhelen rules over the dwarves and the anvil of the void was destroyed. Zathrian ended the werewolf curse, the mages were saved from annulment, Arl Eamon was saved, and Loghain was spared and sent to the Wardens. Morrigan did have the Old God child with Amell, as well. In DA2, M!Hawke Mage was pro pro pro mage every single step of the way. Arishok returned to Par Vollen, all of Hawke's companions were saved, Hawke himself is a blood mage who dabbles in poking a bit too much in darker magicks. In Inquisition, M!Lavellan mage is in love with Dorian of House Pavus, and I love them both. Leliana was made Divine and mages were freed, Cassandra rebuilt the seekers, Bull is Tal Vashoth, Cole is more human, Sera is Red Jenny, Thom Rainier is being a good man, Vivienne is Vivienne, Empress Celene was reunited with Briala, who rule together. My Lavellan, desperate to preserve his own culture, drank from the Well of Sorrows. He also disbanded the Inquisition, but is still fervently pursuing Solas, he loves Solas as a trusted friend, a mentor and a scholar, but he is also very willing to kill baldy should he need to.

16. Crackpot Theory. I remember before Trespasser came out, after the Solas reveal, and Mythal talking constantly about the music etc etc. That I was like. Holy Shit. The Elven Gods are the Old Gods. They're the same. Ahhhh. Mythal always turning into a dragon, dragons being resistant to blight, etc. I'm CONVINCED that that's what's up. What has me more convinced and looking like Charlie in that one screenshot of It's Always Sunny, is the fact that 2 elven gods were on the other side of the veil from Solas, and there are two archdemons remaining, because 2 other elven gods. (It's been the hottest of minutes since I have double checked all my info, some might be inaccurate). But Flemeth being so sincere about the blight being the biggest threat to the world, and her being Mythal. I'm just so sure of myself.

Dragon Age: Inquisition. Companions react to romanced companion and Inquisitor's child getting hit on in front of them. (ex. Dorian and Inquisitor's adopted child, Sera and Inquisitor's adopted child, Cullen and Inquisitor's child, etc.)

Cassandra:

She is torn between the protective rush of a mother whose child needs a shield and sword to protect them from the world, and the romantic rush of young love playing out before them. Her beloved's gently guiding hand lets the second instinct win the day, but there is no question that her child's admirer is met with the image of the Lady Seeker and Herald of Andraste in the distance watching their every move.

It is a very honorable exchange.

Solas: As he does not love the inquisitor enough to contemplate a family, he is not gifted the benefits of protecting one.

Blackwall: Thom Rainier was a feckless and faithless young man, and Blackwall has no intentions of his child being exposed to anything like that. The proverbial papa bear, such exchanges are cut short by a firm hand and a conversation on just what exactly this vagabond (no matter their birth or station) thinks they are about.

It will take the work of someone serious in their intent to get past those shields, but he will respect a sincere effort.

Dorian: The victim and recipient of some early flirting attempts of his own once upon a time, Magister Pavus constrains himself to simply listening around the corner with his amatus-- both to cringe together at the early attempts at young love and to keep their very precious child from any true harm. His attitude is jovial, their whispered remembrances of the first steps their own love in Skyhold took a loving memory between them.

And in the hand kept behind his back no one else will ever see the corrosive fire kept in check, in case this suitor takes even a step out of line towards the heir of House Pavus and the child he had never even dared hope for.

Iron Bull: Like Dorian he knows his way around some awkward flirting, and is generally content to let young people figure things out for themselves as long as they are safe and boundaries are respected.

It's the Chargers this young upstart needs to be afraid of.

Sera: Ha, knob wants to make kissy faces at her little love, they've got arrows and pies and all kind of shite coming their way! No it doesn't matter that if they hadn't flirted on their own she wouldn't have her herald, thats not the point! Arrows! Pies! No one talking to her child!

Thankfully both child and wife know Sera well enough to lure the argument away, and so by the time Red Jenny turns on the admirer both they and the object of their affection have scattered. This means words, 'quisitor.

Cullen: Maker's breathe, no. Assemble the armies of Skyhold, his child will not be pursuing a romance until they are forty!

Josephine: Before the day is over she knows their lineage, their parentage, how they take their tea and the worst secrets in their family for four generations.

Let them have their moment, if that moment is respectful and honorable. If not, divine or otherwise Leliana will have a situation to handle.
