I was in a perfumery the other day and I was looking over the men's perfumes out of curiosity and it got me thinking...what colognes do you guys think Dick, Jason and Bruce would wear?

I think that Bruce would 100% wear a very expensive and niche cologne made specifically for him by the finest parfmumiers in Paris and it would smell so intoxicating and alluring, like a mix of spices with something fresh added to them. Everybody already hangs on every word the billionare utters, but especially during the galas he hosts, you know Bruce Wayne is in the room when you catch a whiff of the sexiest fragrance that you've ever smelled: it screams money and power, and you can see men straightening their ties and women fixing their hair and makeup in their compact mirrors (I was thinking about something similar to Essential Ato Natura or Luna Rossa Ocean by Prada ughhh).

Dick wouldn't wear something too similar to Bruce, and it would also be a more accessible fragrance, so whenever he finishes his bottle he can go buy another at the nearest boutique. It has more freshness to it: it's probably a mix of citrus and musk/ woody notes that is not too overpowering and it has a subtle depth to it. It turns heads on the streets as people would associate this scent with a man who's confident and has a fun, ougoing personality. He's a prople pleaser and an extrovert, but he can also be an assertive when needed (Dylan Blue by Versace or Light Blue by Dolce&Gabbana anyone?), but I can also see him wearing the most fuck boy scents ever, like Sauvage by Dior or Bleu de Chanel. He's well aware that everybody wears them, but he can't help the smug smile on his face when yet another girl at the bar approaches him and compliments him for smelling so good.

Now, Jason's difficult. He would already smell very fainlty of gunpowder (and cigarette smoke if you headcanon him as a smoker) and leather. It doesn't matter how many showers he takes or how much he scrubs his skin raw, the scent still lingers on him. He definitely wouldn't like to wear soemthing too fresh or sweet or anything like that as it would probably give him a headache. He would want a scent that only him and his partner and someone that is directly in front of him could smell. He already hates being so big that it makes people double take, so he would never wear something with a lot of projection. I think he'd lean more on notes that he is familiar with and that bring him comfort and security, so he'd definitely wear something with a leathery smell to it, mixed with bonfire/ tobacco middle notes and underneath all that, maybe (and only maybe) a relatively discreet bourbon vanilla - not overtly sweet, but cozy and comforting. Like Jason Todd and Red Hood themselves, it would be a very polarizing scent: some would hate it, while others would chase it, greedy to catch another whiff of that masculine and deep fragrance that is uniquely him (Dark Rebel Rider by John Varvatos, By the Fireplace and/ or Jazz Club by Maison Margiela...maybe also Leather Oud by Dior?)

louis vuitton pacific chill- this one is soo unique i kinda fell in love with it the first time i smelled it. its minty citrusy and also notes of cucumber so its soo fresh without smelling like an old lady. kind of cologne-y which is also nice because i love gender neutral scents i dont love super feminine scents

louis vuitton afternoon swim- TOP FIVE <3 this is my go to “special event” perfume its also citrusy and ginger-y and i think its technically unisex but whatever.. lasts super long i think this one is my staple fragrance ive been wearing it a while snd ill keep wearing it foreverrr. this was also the first one in my collection so thank you mum <3

byredo slow dance- this ones unique it smells weird when you first put it on but it dries down nicely. kind of smells like how those natural essential oil based perfumes from a crystal shop would smell. still nice though. i dont love most of byredos scents especially at that price but this one is cool. my only impulse purchase on this list but im not mad! its my summer-fall scent <3

maison margiela replica jazz club- LOVEE this one. definitely more of a cologne but i love it soo so much. this is my fall staple scent and every year for christmas my mum gets me a new bottle it is soo nice. its woody smokey and kinda boozy. amazing.

I LOVE fragrance so so much! My grandma was a perfumier so I grew up helping her and playing with how scent can hold so much memory and character! Scent in general is so underutilized for building an atmosphere or personality.

Okay so:

Gabrielle wears her own eau de Gabs which consists of archeology dirt, laundry detergent, and various plant juices. If she feels like actually wearing something besides her own sweat, she might steal something from Lestat (probably something he hates and never wears) and goes for it whether it suits her or not. She has turned down any offers to get her an actual cologne

Armand likes prestige branding almost as much as he likes the scents themselves. I think he'd be a fan of exorbitantly priced brands like Creed Boutique or Penhaligon just for the clout. As far as actual fragrance, I think he'd want something strong and seductive, something that smells like he's worth billions. He wears "trendy" scents, but he found them first. Once they go mainstream, he moves on

- Creed Boutique Pure White (only becauseit's a sweet $1,200): bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, galbanum, pear, petit grain, ambergris, rice powder, white musk

- Maison Margiela Jazz Club: pink pepper, neroli, rum, vetiver, sage, tobacco, vanilla, styrax

- Penhaligon Constantinople: vanilla, iris, pine, patchouli, moss, geranium

- Nasomatto Black Afgano: cannabis, resin, cedar, oud, coffee, tobacco, incense

Daniel strikes me as a Coty Stetson guy. It's cheap, it's been around since 1981 (that's how long he's been wearing it too), and it's not obnoxiously masc or detergenty. Maybe Armand tried to get him to pick something higher end but gave up when he tried to go home with Bleu de Chanel or something equally basic.

- Coty Stetson: lavender, clary sage, lemon, bergamot, vetiver, cedar, carnation, geranium, patchouli, honey, musk, tonka.
