Saw an enstars calendar on someone's comifuro catalogue, it looked cute and it had all the character birthdays and i decided i wanted a twst version. Not sure if i could finish in time for 2024 though.

So you know those redesigns of Hunter’s tattoo to make it look more like tā moko? It gave me an idea.

The way these are placed aren’t really accurate to real traditional maori tattoos, since I wanted to keep the same idea + keep them recognizable as the og. The shapes inside and the style is all based on photos of different moko and some very simplified guides on what certain patterns look like and how they’re used. I hope I did a decent job, I really like the way they look.

Background information: There are four different ways to read the name "日向", the most common being "Hinata", but there are also the readings "Hyuga", "Himukai", and "Himuka". Also, the character "創" is generally read as "Sou", and the reading "Hajime" is a special reading that is only used for people's names. So it is generally difficult to read this name correctly without clues. The reason why Shinigami was disappointed is that Hinata Hajime sounds much softer than Hyuga Sou, the reading she first predicted. Hinata and Hajime are not really lame. However, the name Hinata could be used as a first name for girls, so it gives a cute impression to Japanese speakers. 😄
