I’m reading a new book and it’s making me giddy!

He is a monster that was experimented on and turned into this vampire/werewolf/dragon/kraken thing and he finds his mate that he is OBSESSED WITH. He stalks her, leaves his scent everywhere, kills everyone that is even slightly mean to her!

PLUS HES PART DRAGON SO HE IS LEAVING HER LITTLE GOLD TRINKETS OF JEWELRY EVERYWHERE AND IM OBSESSED WITH CREED!

The book is called Honeysuckles by January Rayne and if the second one is as good as the first (which I’m only like 100pgs from finishing) then I’m going to continue to be so fucking happy!

If you want to read this book, take the trigger warnings seriously, it is a Dark Romance for a reason! He is not a good person.

January 25, 2000

A New Man aired for BTVS season 4, episode 12. A lot happens in this episode. A few highlights: a drama-free surprise birthday party for Buffy, one of Buffy's best puns, Riley proudly announces his body count is 17, Buffy - even while still holding back - spars with Riley and it's no contest, and Willow and Tara practice magic in Tara's dorm room.

WALSH: So, the Slayer! BUFFY: Yeah. That's me. WALSH: We thought you were a myth. BUFFY: Well, you were myth-taken.

In this episode Giles's old "friend" Ethan returns. They spend time together, including at a bar where Ethan flirts. (With the waitress, totally with the waitress.) Ethan is later taken by Riley and other guys from "The Initiative."

This was the last appearance of Ethan Rayne. Ethan is played by Robin Sachs and is in four episodes total, Halloween and The Dark Age in S2, Band Candy in S3, and this episode. Sadly Robin Sachs passed away in 2013 of heart failure, at the age of 61.

Are there any other romance and horror readers out there that would love an anthology of short horror stories written by dark romance authors?

Like I’m absolutely craving some scary stories written by women who can combine dark themes of any kind with a love story or some kind of seduction.

I feel that authors like Trisha Wolfe, Kathryn Ann Kingsley, Clio Evans, I V Ophelia, Karina Halle, Keri Lake January Rayne, and others would do an amazing job at this.

Please don’t tell me it’s just me infected by the spooky season…

Monster's Den by Jillian West. The start of a trilogy. All good fun, no serious angst, and plenty of smut.

If you like dark romances:

The Pucking Wrong Number by C.R Jane. He accidentally texts the wrong number, thinking it was supposed to be this chick his father wanted him to woo. Instead it's the woman of his dreams and be will do anything to get her. The beginning of a series. These men are fucking unhinged and I love it.

Monster fucker??

Honeysuckle by January Rayne. He gets injected with different types of creatures, and is now a slave to all the instincts that come with a wolf, vampire, dragon and kraken. This book is so campy but I absolutely loved it. You can just tell the author knew she was writing an over the top male character who is stalking and obsessed with the woman be believes to be his mate.
