Hospital Playlist (2020, 2021)
Tumblr media
This show was great! Some of the medical stuff was a little too real (for my taste), but the characters were the best! It's great TV, where you just get to follow around these interesting people with cool jobs for a year or two of their life. What's not to enjoy?
What Worked
The scenes with the band. All the friendships. Most of the romance stuff. The thoughtful approach to medical issues. The fact that they avoided most of the typical medical drama tropes. The cute little kids (especially the actor that played Lee Ik-jun's son). All the scenes with the five just hanging out!
What Didn't Work
The pacing was a little slow sometimes, which I didn't have a problem with, but I know bothered some people. Some of the medical stuff, but again that's more of a preference.
The Performances
This is a show with a huge ensemble cast and lots of guest stars. And the writers are good, so they make sure and give each of them a few moments, at least, to shine. There's no way to cover everything without writing a huge novel. So I'll stick to my favorites.
Jo Jung-suk as Lee Ik-jun. This guy was just so much fun to watch. All of the funniest moments on the show were centered around him. All of the cringiest dad jokes also featured him. I never got tired of watching him.
Jeon Mi-do as Chae Song-hwa. I loved this character, and this actress. The biggest "in-joke" this show ever did was hire an experienced musical theatre actor and make her pretend she couldn't sing for two seasons. And it was still charming to watch! She was the heart of the show, and we need more smart, goofy, nerdy characters like this on TV.
Yoo Yeon-seok as Ahn Jeong-win (Andrea). It took awhile for me to warm up to this character, because he felt too good to be believed. But once we got to know him, and saw more about his point of view, he became one of my favorites.
Junk Kyung-ho as Kim Jun-wan. It took longer for me to warm up to this character, but that was mostly the writing. By the end of the first season, I really enjoyed watching him be the grumpy straight-man for all the antics going on. I also really liked his relationship with Lee Ik-sun, even though the arc felt a little manufactured.
Kim Dae-myung as Yang Seok-hyeong. The show did really good on the medical stuff with this character, but less good with the everyday life stuff. He had to deal with some of the most sensitive and heartbreaking situations and the actor and the writers handled them all very well. Worth watching because of this.
Kwak Sun-young as Lee Ik-sun. I saw her in Encounter and she was really enjoyable, especially when they let her break out some of her comedy skills, but she wasn't particularly memorable. She was great in this role. Lots of good chemistry with both her romantic arc and with her family stories. Just charming and funny and the show did a good job of letting her shine. The romantic arc had a little fake drama added, but the actors still made it work.
Shin Hyun-been as Jang Gyeo-ul. The show took its time with this character, and didn't really bring her to the front until season two. But I liked her interactions with the other characters, and her romantic arc was really good too. She handled the family drama stuff in it particularly well.
Ahn Eun-jin as Chu Min-ha. I feel like the character is kind of a mirror for her romantic interest in the show (Seok-hyeong). She got a ton of character stuff and was forced to stand to the side in alot of the medical stuff. Ahn Eun-jin basically carried the romance arc for season two (which is partly on the writers), but she made it fun to watch.
Ha Yoon-kyung as Heo Sun-bin. This was one of the actor's earlier roles, but she did a good job with what they writers gave her. You can see why they started giving her bigger roles later on (especially Extraordinary Attorney Woo), though she was definitely a minor character here.
Everyone else: Again, there are so many people and the guest stars / "patients" show up occasionally later on, which is nice when you can remember who they are. The two med-student twins were fun to watch. The old people antics were enjoyable, and the actors for them did a good job with the drama when it was called for. There were lots of adorable child actors that rarely got annoying. Just alot of good talent showing up when needed.
TL; DR:
I'm not usually a fan of medical dramas. The last one that really hooked me was maybe ER and that was such a long time ago it may as well be the stone age. But I loved this one. The actors were great, the show was serious when it needed to be, but was not afraid to joke around and that created a really good balance.

When SeokHyung said this, the camera subtly focused on Ahn Jeong Won, and he was the only one couldn’t keep his head up when he heard those words.
It might have hit him hard - thinking how much time he has wasted on wanting to quit the one job that he actually likes and pushing away the one girl that his heart been yearning for.
This is why the kiss was his only answer for Jang Gyeo Wool when she asked him to stay at the hospital and stay by her side - He now wants to live doing things that he likes (as a doctor) and the things that he wants to do right now (to be with Jang Gyeo Wool).
Nothing is coincidental for this and every details gotta count! 💕

2021: Drama Rankings - In Progress Shows
Stranger 2 (2/16)
Tumblr media
Year: 2020 Country: Korea Platform: Netflix Look, I know this one is going to be good. I just know it. The whole cast of season one has returned and I cannot *wait* to see Lee Joon Hyuk be an absolute cockroach of a terrible human being. Bae Doo Na and Jo Seung Woo are also amazing and season one was so, so good, riveting and gripping.  I watched the first two episodes and know we are going to be in for the same in this one. However, I just haven’t been in the right mood to immerse myself in it just yet. So I’m waiting for the right time, hopefully sometime next year.
Hospital Playlist 2 (5/12)
Tumblr media
Year: 2021 Country: Korea Platform: Netflix This show is just as good as season one. Really there is nothing I can say wrong about it as the writing acting and directing are all top notch. That said, I’ve been making my way through it slowly as, for some reason, I just don’t feel compelled to hit ‘next episode’. Each episode is fantastic and, perhaps due to it’s slice of life nature, leaves me feeling satisfied in a way that holds me over until another day when I feel like cuddling up and coming back to these friends I love. Perhaps its also a bit of not wanting it to ever really end. My one, patently ridiculous gripe, is I’m just not on board with the pairing of Ahn Jung Won and Jang Gyeo Wool. The actors are decent enough but there is so little actual chemistry between them, and little narrative oomf to their relationship. It’s placidly pretty in an innocuous way that leaves it uncompelling. They’re together… I guess… cuz the script tells me so, which is one of my biggest relationship pet peeves. But, I’m not watching it for the romance so it’s fine, I guess. (honestly would have LOVED if they’d made him gay, tbh; story wise it would have resonated so much better)
Bad Buddy (9/12)
Tumblr media
Year: 2021 Country: Thailand Platform: YouTube Someone needs to set up a drama production office where they just issue P’aof blanket checks to do Whatever He Wants. Honestly, he has not let me down yet. He tells queer stories with such care and love but also practiced skill. There is absolutely no need for this show to be as good as it is, yet it has truly elevated itself. Much credit for this to the skill of the lead actors and a script with gives them depth and nuance to bite into. The pacing is so solid, with each episode moving forward briskly but giving enough time and weight to important moments. Shoutout has to be given to the absolutely amazing product placement. We saw it in AToTS but P’aof really just using every mandated moment to be as Extra as possible with our OTP, and I love that for us very much.
Strangers from Hell (5/10)
Tumblr media
Year: 2019 Country: Korea Platform: Netflix This is so good. My only excuse for not having finished it is that I am a big, big baby that cannot handle scary creepy things. Honestly, by rights I shouldn’t even be watching it as it is very much not the type of thing I’m into. And yet, here I am, because Lee Dong Wook is so compelling and creepy and wonderful. I love the dynamic between his and Im Si Won’s character. Unfortunately, being able to only watch at 3pm on a Very Sunny and Not At All Scary Sunday Afternoon with a house full of noise means I can only get through episodes sparingly.
The Red Sleeve (15/17)
Tumblr media
Year: 2021 Country: Korea Platform: Viki I’m very much enjoying this. I started it because I felt the need for a nice, epic feeling Sageuk in my life. There’s just something sweeping and compelling about a historical drama done right, and this one is doing so much right. I love that our male lead is so forthright and upfront about his feelings but the issues keeping our leads apart are very real, with no easy solution. I’m a bit nervous about the one episode extension as those are often double edged swords but I go into finale week hopeful, excited for the end and sad to see it go.
Boys over Flowers - Thailand (1/16)
Tumblr media
Year: 2021 Country: Thailand Platform:  YouTube Look, there’s not more to be said about this franchise that hasn’t already been said. Either you love it or you hate it, and I love it. Yes, the leads are a mess, yes there is a layer of toxicity over so much of their dynamic. But at its core, this is a story of our male lead finding his humanity and decency and a badass female lead who kicks his ass on the regular. So far it is delivering on every level in a satisfying way, and I already know that Bright’s descent into one sided love is going to destroy me so… I will just be here gobbling popcorn every week watching the train-wreck unfold.

Hospital Playlist : Season 1
So, I recently re-watched season 1 of Hospital Playlist in preparation of season 2 that’s going to be released on the 17th of June, and I have a couple of thoughts that I want to share. Warning: It’s going to be filled with spoilers, so for those looking to avoid that, please don’t read more. Also, this is a looooonnnnggg one :)
“Hospital Playlist” is a Korean Drama that follows five doctors in their 40s who have been best friends since adolescence as they form a band together. While the log-line appears simple, the depth in the script and acting will enchant any audience. The narrative is free-spirited and quirky, reverberating friendships forged by love and time in a heart-warming style.
This slice of life drama realistically tackles what occurs within the white walls of the hospital. From ungrateful patients to the long wait for donors, it has it all. This drama covered plenty of cases, each of them as sad as the next. I recall when Yang Seok Hyeong, an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynaecology, had a patient who delivered a baby with anencephaly. He was considerate enough to not allow the mother to hear the baby’s cries by playing loud music in the delivery room and quickly escorting the baby away from the mother. I teared up during that scene, and I still tear up just thinking about that. I watched it as a case in a K-Drama, but it is many people’s gruesome reality, and all I can offer are my sympathies.
Despite zoning out during the technical aspects and elucidation of medical terminologies, I could feel the gravity of an operation and the burden of Atlas resting on the doctors when they held the scalpel. I liked the fact that there wasn’t any hospital politics. Rather, the show focused on the doctors, as they tried their best to save their patients. I mourned during the losses of life and celebrated with the characters after a successful surgery.
The ensemble cast for “Hospital Playlist” was flawless. The sincerity of the actors and the efforts they had put into studying and understanding their roles were clear as day. The chemistry between them was organic and the banters, natural. While they didn’t verbalise every emotion, the viewers could feel their familiarity, like they were real-life friends on screen. I was on an emotional rollercoaster as I watched this, rooting for them through hardships and cheering whenever they laughed.
“I wondered why my life was getting so difficult. It was really tough. But all of a sudden, one day, I realised how much time I was wasting. Wasting my life away like this because of what she did to me was doing a disservice to myself.”
Jo Jung-Suk did a flawless job portraying Lee Ik-Jun. This was my second time witnessing a drama with Jo Jung Suk, and while I wouldn’t applaud his performance in “Oh, My Ghostess!” (But in his defence, I found that script to be problematic) I absolutely loved him in “Hospital Playlist”. Lee Ik-Jun is an assistant professor of general surgery. He’s funny, sociable, laid-back, charming, and a dotting, single father to his son, Woo Joo.
The first time I, as the viewer, was introduced to him was gold. Naughty little Woo Joo had managed to put a blotch of super glue to a Darth Vader helmet, which was later worn by his father. During an emergency at the hospital, Ik Jun showed up decked in Darth Vader gear and bravely holding a light saber, demanding that the helmet was unglued from his head. He got his wish, but only after performing surgery while wearing the helmet.
Watching Ik-Jun and his son together is heartwarming, to say the least. You can tell how much he loves his son, as seen by the way he prepared meatballs from scratch, including the ketchup, excitedly for his son, only for the latter to claim he wanted meatballs, causing the former to trip on his way to the kitchen. I also adore how most of the bonding scenes we see between them happens over sandwiches. I find that very precious.
Ik Jun is also very friendly to everyone. He warmly welcomes the medical students, greets his colleagues with a smile, and most notably, plays as a matchmaker between Jeong-won and Jang Gyeo-wool, even if it is so the latter could assist him on more surgeries. His relationship with his sister is also beautiful. I love how authentic they are, from their bickering and the hidden ways they care for each other.
Ik Jun provides comic relief plenty of times— I nearly fell off my chair laughing when he mimicked a train, and also upon seeing how adamant he was to eavesdrop on a private phone conversation of Kim Jun-wan.
“I don’t deserve to be a doctor. I can’t control my emotions. I empathise too easily.”
I must admit, Ahn Jeong Won has a soft spot in my heart and is my favourite from the group of friends. An assistant professor of pediatric surgery, Jeong Won gets overly attached to patients and takes every loss personally. Due to his sensitive nature, he’s detailed in everything he does, earning the teasing nickname of “Buddha” from his colleagues.
Hardworking but overemotional, there have been many instances when Jeong Won swears to quit being a doctor after a patient has unfortunately succumbed, and it’s only through the insistence of his oldest brother does he continue his job. He’s immensely religious and has a close relationship with God, and considered being a priest until the season finale.
His interactions with his young patients tug on all my heartstrings. From the gentle way he gets the permission of small children to check their vitals, to the dedication with which he treats his patients and dissolves their fears.
One of my favourite quotes of this drama was said by him, “Do you know why doctors only give vague answers such as ‘We can’t be sure yet,’ ‘We don’t know yet,’ and ‘We need to observe a bit more?’ Doctors must take responsibility for their words, so we must be careful. There’s only one thing we, as doctors, can tell our patients with certainty. ‘We will do our best.’”
Despite being born from a wealthy family, Jeong Won is nearly broke, spending all his fortune anonymously covering the hospital fees of poor patients.
Chae Song Hwa summarised Jeong Won’s personality neatly in episode 12 when she said, “Lastly, there’s you (Jeong Won). Seeing others enjoy good food makes you happier than when you are eating it yourself.”
“If the doctor gives up on the patient, he isn’t a doctor anymore.”
At first glance, Kim Jun Wan appears cold and scary, but there are so many dimensions to his character. He’s blunt, assertive and has a reputation for telling his patients what they need to hear, not that they want to hear.
However, he’s possibly the most caring person, having allowed Jeong Won to, in his own words, “mooch” of him for years now. He was also always nagging and hovering over his friends, keeping a stash of chocolates for them. He stepped up as the Chief of the cardiothoracic surgery department multiple times, whether it was to act as a shield to his mentee or to reprimand his juniors about the importance of (a patient’s) life and how every single decision taken by a doctor has to be thoughtful and absolute because there’s no way to reverse such things.
A great example of his outer versus inner personality is when he’s questioned by a medical student on why he chose to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. While he claimed that he became a surgeon after asking his professor which job would allow him to get the most money, with a glimpse of a flashback scene, it was revealed that when back as a student, Jun Wan was given the opportunity to witness a surgery and then, to touch a beating human heart, and felt life, that solidified his decision to choose cardiology as his field. Recalling that scene gives me goosebumps even now. That was magical.
Jun Wan is also a huge foodie, his only competition being Song-Hwa.
“What have you done for yourself lately?”
Chae Song Hwa is an associate professor of neurosurgery. Discerning without being too critical, she is intelligent and is often the mother hen of the group. Respected by her juniors, she has also been fondly dubbed the ‘ghost’ due to her busy schedule that has left several of her colleagues wondering whether she has time to eat or sleep. She was everywhere and knew everything, which allowed her to quietly look after the residents of the hospital and the patients.
Despite being buried under piles of work, she still made the time to grade her juniors papers, and I’m reminded of one of the first instances the viewers were given of her, which was when she comforted a patient in the elevators of a hospital. The only female professor in neurosurgery, she is kind to her patients.
I adore how decisive she is, being extremely clear about what she wants, drawing boundaries while still being friendly and radiating professionalism to those around her, despite the hardships she might be going through. She routinely goes camping during the weekend and is the embodiment of positive self-love.
Some of my favourite moments in this drama was literally just Song Hwa and Jun Wan aggressively eating like they’ve been hungry since the dawn of time. Song Hwa might have claimed that the reason she ate so rapidly, so full of zeal was because of growing up with older brothers, but Ik Jun was quick to shoot her down and note that they all looked boney.
“My time is too precious for that. I want to live doing the things I like. And the things I want to do right now.”
Probably the most under-appreciated character, Yang Seok Hyeong is a treasure. My first opinion of him was ‘mama’s boy’ and while I was correct, wow, I had not expected the reason why. In his youth, Seok Hyeong was not close to his mother at all, and we could even see him ignoring her phone calls. But after everything that happened with his dad, he grew closer to his mother, developed a new sense of protectiveness and appreciation for her, and I adore that.
He was also the reason the band reunited in the first place, making that his condition for working at the Yulje Medical Center. Despite seeming aloof, he was an open book to his friends. He didn’t like to bother or intrude on people and usually kept to himself, gaining a reputation for being a loner whenever he was not around his four friends.
Throughout the season, he was trapped in a whirlwind of turmoil, from the news of his unexpected brother to his father’s death and his surprise succession to the company he wants no ties with. He maintains a calm exterior and braces through the troubles.
Seok Hyeong lives up to the sensitivity his job demands from him, softly informing expecting mothers about the risks of their pregnancies while encouraging and empathising with them when things get hard.
He prefers to stay in the shadows and allow people the opportunity to sort their messes out themselves, after reminding them that he’s only a call away if they need him. He’s an excellent confident booster and appreciates those who are responsible.
These characters stayed not only in my mind but also in my heart. Each of them has such vivid personalities I can’t entirely capture in words. Their insecurities, struggles, and feelings were so real and incredibly relatable and easy to empathise with.
As conveyed by the title, music plays an important part in this T.V. serial, by allowing the characters to reminisce their college days and also allowing them a breather from their stressful life. There are thousands of words in the English language, and yet, I can’t string together enough of them to express how I felt when Jo Jung Seok sang Aloha.
The doctors use music not only as an outlet to release their frustrations, but also to express their thoughts and feelings. To heal. Listening to the songs and the covers made by the band lightened my heart. The labour they put into practising the songs made the moments more precious.
Through the music sessions in this T.V. serial, I found my affection for each character increasing. I found myself surprised to recognise some of the songs considering they are quite old, but I hummed along and felt the air around me thrum with glee as they sang.
I also found it rather ironic that Chae Song Hwa is considered to be a bad singer (her pre-routine of gulping down raw eggs fascinated me on an odd level) although the actress who plays her, Jeon Mi Do is a talented singer.
Therapeutic and well-written, I marvel at the writer’s ability to weave together arrays of mundane subplots into endearing bliss, leaving lingering positivity after every episode along with a yearning to watch more.
I’m a huge fan of writer Lee Woo-Jung’s Reply series and was hesitant to start this drama, afraid that it would fall short of expectations. But having watched it, I can safely say that those concerns were unnecessary, and whatever expectations I had were only exceeded. I couldn’t recognise any leading plotline of this drama. To me, it simply showcased the daily life of five doctors.
As it is character-driven, there is a slow progression of the drama, which needs some time getting adapted to. It was also a little hard trying to keep track of the multiple characters initially introduced, but within three episodes, I was able to get a hang of things. The dialogues were witty, impactful and sharp, capturing my attention from the beginning to the end. However, despite containing a plethora of humorous moments throughout this serial, there was a subdued layer that focused more on the community than the plot.
I must admit, however, that I found the first episode to be subtly chaotic and slow-paced. I couldn’t grasp the concepts or connect with the characters until the second episode, after which I had no qualms.
I loved the character arcs in this story. It was a pleasure to observe their journeys and diligence as various storylines diverged or amalgamated, how they grew as individuals while maintaining their core values. The flashback scenes were fascinating to watch and compare how they are now to how they used to be.
The cinematography was stunning. I was in awe at how different shades and tones of light could impact not only the setting of the scene but also the mood of the viewers.
I recommend “Hospital Playlist” to anyone who likes to watch T.V. serials possessing the perfect amount of drama, laughter, angst, warmth and love. This serial is a truly rare gem in a basket of rocks where the storylines are solid without being too predictable.

Hospital Playlist
Bukan berarti gue pernah mengalami semua kisah tokohnya. Drama is just drama.
Nah, gue ngerasa Hospital Playlist pun demikian.
Ahn Jung Won itu ganteng, kaya, sopan, baik banget, love everybody but nobody, gampang dijangkau sekaligus nggak terjangkau. Hadeeh ~XD Jung Won itu gampang diajak jalan sama siapa aja karena dia baik. Kalo ketemu orang kayak gini, kita semacam ngerasa disambut, tapi dia menyambut semua tamu.
Sementara beberapa temen main gue justeru kadang baru memulai “hidup” di umur 30 an. Jalanin hubungan santai, nggak banyak pamer karena orang umur segitu udah nggak main sosmed, dst dst.
…….
Sama-sama ditulis Lee Woo Jung writernim soalnya 😊
Saking seringnya, kita kadang sampe saling bayarin gantian tapi nggak ngitung abisnya berapa.
Banyak orang yang nyangka gue sama dia tahu kehidupan pribadi masing-masing. Tapi kenyataannya, baik gue sama dia malah jarang banget share masalah kehidupan pribadi. Karena kami berdua sama-sama datar, nggak pinter cerita dan nggak tau cara merespon cerita. Jadi cerita sedih sesedih apapun kalo gue certain ke dia, jadinya flat. Begitu juga sebaliknya.
Kami berdua kalo lebaran malah nggak pernah salaman cipika cipiki karena canggung. Pas gue sedih gara-gara ibu wafat, dia nggak menghibur gue dengan kalimat yang proper wkwk, tapi ya kehidupan sehari-hari gue sama dia. Kalo jam makan siang, reflek ngirim WA ke dia.
Yhaa semacam itulah yang bikin gue suka sama Hospital Playlist yang pace-nya lambat. Nggak berambisi jadi cerita penuh pesan moral. Cuman kehidupan sehari-hari manusia aja yang bikin kita jadi ngebayangin kalo persahabatan orang dewasa ya semacam itu.
….

This is a companion post to this list of vocabulary found in the song.
The romanization is not based only on the literal translation of the hangul characters; it is based on how the characters actually sound when put together. For example, while many sites romanize “빠져” as “bbajyeo,” the word should actually be pronounced as “ppajyeo,” so I’ve romanized it this way to make it easier to understand.
Hmm, hmm / Shimmie shimmie, Ko Ko Bop, I think I like it
gin-ja-geun down, down 긴장은 down, down The tension is down, down (Don’t be tense/nervous)
bu-kkeu-reo mal-go 부끄러 말고 Don’t be shy

As if I’m something familiar, I’ll softly spread inside
Ah-woo

Ah-woo

I’m just gonna write my hope & expectations in Season 2. It’s more on writing it for myself in case I forget and I might be adding on it along the waiting game, but guys, replies are welcomed I wanna know what do you guys expect from S2 too! XD
HOPE & EXPECTATIONS!

Two nursing students that made appearances in EP9 will be replacing HongDo and YunBok for S2. Just like HongDo and YunBok, the two of them will be showcasing their POVs at each of the department.
Season 2 Ep1 will start off / ending off with Ahn Jeongwon’s flashbacks/backstory on his struggle and suppressed feelings towards Jang Gyeo Wool, and unfolds why did he hold back for almost a month to let Gyeo Wool know about his decision to stay. - I need to know everything even his answer to Lee Ik Jun when Ik Jun asked him what did he think of Jang Gyeo Wool in Ep3!
There’s a 20-years of friendship stands between Lee Ik Jun and Chae Song Hwa. So rather than to straight away making them an item in Season2, a comfortable and steady transition towards a whole new kind of relationship for our Scrunchy Couple would be preferred. - By the way, this couple reminds me of Tsuki No Koibito; from long-time friends to lovers I love that drama!
Ahn Jeong Won is the only one who knows that Lee Ik Jun is Chae Song Hwa’s first love and he learned it from Song Hwa herself. - I don’t know why, I just have this feeling that he knows lol
To have Kim Jun Wan’s story on how he manage as the Chief of Department. He was recently promoted and it would be great to watch that side as well.- I’m looking forward to seeing lots of his tsundere moments!
Ahn Jeong Won might eventually ends up leading the Yulje Foundation. In S1, putting his inner struggle aside, it can be seen that he actually does possess great management skill - his way of thinking ahead and he basically knew every single thing happened at Yulje on management level.
Lee Ik Jun actually figured out about Kim Jun Wan and her sister Ik Sun for quite some time but he kept silent just to fool around with them.
WinterGarden’s scene will be picking up from the kiss scene, with Ahn Jeong Won saying ‘Sorry’  to Jang Gyeo Wool. - I think I’m gonna cry T.T
No sorts of rivalry or whatever between Chu Min Ha and Yang Seok Hyung’s ex-wife Shin Hye. Judging from Yang Seok Hyung’s perspective, I’d like to think that Shin Hye is a very kind person.
Lee Ik Sun comes back to Korea and says to Kim Jun Wan that she’s staying, simply because she realizes that her happiness is actually with Kim Jun Wan - I think that would be beautiful as well. Love can be as simple as that, right?
The abusive father that Jang Gyeo Wool chased in Ep5-6 will reappear and harm either Ahn Jeong Won / Jang Gyeo Wool - If you watched Prison Playbook you can totally relate to this foreshadow. Resentful villains suddenly came out and take revenge lol
To have at least one happy marriage among the lacking-5 circle! It could be the Bidulgi couple or the WinterGarden couple. But as much as I love the WinterGarden, I still would prefer to have them exploring their first relationship as a couple, then smoothly enters the marriage phase towards the second-half of S2.
All the 99ers actually knew / aware that Ahn Jeong Won had a thing for Jang Gyeo Wool. Here’s my take on how Chae Song Hwa knew; Jeong Ro Sa reached out to Song Hwa and asked Song Hwa about the girl she saw making her son looked so cheerful that he didn’t even noticed his mom standing right beside the garden’s entrance/exit door. I guess that’s what made Song Hwa said - It really is Gyeo Wool
When Yang Seok Hyung knows about the Daddy Long Leg program, he would contribute his inheritance to that program as well.
Just like in S1, Ahn Jeong Won might be facing struggle when one of his patient dies / not doing well. This time, instead of coming to the church and look for his brother, he has Jang Gyeo Wool to comfort him now. She becomes his source of strength, to keep him moving forward as a doctor as well as a person too. - Okay I think I’m gonna cry again T.T
I wanna see Chae Song Hwa’s brothers! I want the cameos to be among the guys in Prison Playbook please!
Yoo Yeon Seok-sshi, please release an OST for Season 2!
Last one just out of context you guys can even skip this lol! I’m an ELF for more that 10 years and my bias is indeed Kyuhyun. So I was beyond excited when my favorite singer sang the OST specially meant for my favorite couple in HP, portrayed by my favorite actors. And he sang so well it’s like the remake song was actually meant for him and no one else! So I’m hoping in S2, maybe Yesung or Ryeowook can sing for the OST(?) - @.@
Thanks a lot if you are reading this long post until the end! To be honest it’s been a while since I was on tumblr, but HP has made me tumblr-ing again. Regardless, these are just my personal hope/expectations so I could be totally wrong on some crumbs. Shin Won Ho / Lee Woo Jung already given us this one fine slice-of-life masterpiece and they’ve exceeded much beyond my expectations. Look forward to SEASON 2 please come faster!
