What if there is a world where Jack and Janet swapped, and who got the coma, etc.?
I mostly thought of this cuz I had an amusing thought at work that goes something like this: Ra's: "Your father must have been quite the man, Timothy. With just how perfectly you turned out. " Tim: "No, I got it from my mother. And if you know what's best for you, stay away from her. " ---Time Skip--- Janet walks into Wayne Manor: "Timothy, what have I told you about letting your stuff lie about in its improper place?" Tim: "Not, too, Mother. I'm sorry for being so thoughtless." Janet hands Tim a suspicious jar: "I'll be merciful this time; your surgery is booked for tomorrow, so make sure to get your affairs in order." Janet turns to Damien and hands him a card. "This is out of courtesy, child. Make sure not to repeat the mistake. Either of you." She eyes Jason and Damien. "And Mr. Grayson, you're on thin ice, too, for the attempted hospitalization of my Timothy." And with that, she walks back out. Bruce hesitantly asks: "Tim... Why did Janet hand Damien a sorry for your loss card?" Tim: "Well, since I now have my spleen in a jar, Bruce, I'm pretty sure Ra's is dead." Part 2:

Ok, hear me out. An AU where Janet Drake is best friends with Lex Luthor, Bruce Wayne and Oliver Queen.
They met in school, and she's a high society girl, not expected or allowed to be much more than a pretty face, but there's this trio of smart idiots (they did all sorts of stupid stuff at school, but they are overall very, very smart), and they're in all sorts of cool classes and extracurriculars, and she wants to learn
So, she snakes her way into the group with well-timed looks and blushes. They eventually include her in all their activities, and so she learns all sort of stuff that she usually wouldn't be allowed to learn, because they help her keep it in the down low. No, she's not taking classes with them, she's being a proper lady and cheering her smart friends on through the oh-so-hard classes.
At some point or another, they all develop a crush on her, fleeting as it may be (they're hormonal teens and they're required to flirt, it was bound to happen)
They flirt publicly, as it keeps the media from pressuring them into relationships— or so they thought. It backfires when they're adults, the media is demanding Janet settle down and stops leading all three of them on. But there would be a scandal if she picked any of them, so she picks Jack, someone who doesn't love her or she loves, but someone desperate enough to climb the social ladder to care if he loves his wife.
When he's not allowed to flirt anymore, that's where Bruce realizes that he actually liked her.
When Tim comes along, and Janet has to go on trips, she leaves him with her trusted friends. So, Tim learns a lot from his Uncle Lex, learns to shoot a bow from his Uncle Ollie, and loves staying with his Uncle Bruce and his children. He figures him out far too easily and does become Robin when Jason figures he's ready to pass on the mantle to his little brother (because they're brothers. Tim spends a lot of time in their house)
Bruce adores Tim, he really does. It just kinda hurts, that he's Janet's kid, but not his.
Eventually, Janet divorces Jack, and she gets to spend a lot more time in Gotham. But by now Tim is as much Bruce's as he is Janet's, so they co-parent the gremlin that is her son, which leads to a lot of time with Bruce.
Bruce treats her better than Jack ever did, and she trusts him far more. They have the memories of years together. Eventually, Bruce tells her the truth— that he never truly moved on from his best friend.
When they marry, sure it's a media circus, but also not a surprise.
She's also a good mom, to Tim as much as to Dick or Jason.
When Jason finds out Catherine is not his mom, sure he gets curious, but he has a mom already, he's happy. He does want to meet his bio mom, but he agrees to do so safely, not go alone. Fine, B, you can come with.
Joker never happens. Jason is disappointed when he finds his mom is not at all what he expected, and he has a much better one at home.
Eventually, when Damian comes into the picture, he's snappy with Janet. "you will never be my mother, you harlot!" but Janet simply puts a hand on his shoulder and speaks calmly, yet sharp as the blade he threatens her with
"You will not speak to me like that, boy. No, I am not your mother. But I am married to your father, and I hold the authority as such, so you will go up to your room, you will cool down, and you will never threaten or insult me again, or you will be grounded."
"You can't do that!"
"She can. She has my full permission to discipline my kids, Damian. In this house, she holds as much authority as I do." Bruce interjects
Damian, begrudgingly, learns to respect Janet, and eventually he does see her as a second mom
The amount of times Oliver or Lex visit the Wayne-Drake household is absurd, but sue them, they like their friends. This leads to a lot of chaos, because every time Oliver visits so does Roy, and Roy hangs out with Dick and Jason, while Damian sticks to glaring at everyone.
Meanwhile, they dote on Tim, because they sure as hell have a favourite nephew, and it's the one they watched grow inside the belly of one of their best friends, the one they all changed the diapers of, the one they've taught a lot of skills to, the one they helped raise in a way they never helped raise any of the other Wayne boys. They don't even try to hide their preference. Now, of course they like all their nephews, but it's always hilarious because when Tim is around his uncle Lex, he's ten times the evil mastermind he generally is, and Oliver encourages it, simply for the chaos, and so does Janet, while Bruce is downright terrified of the idea of Tim as a villain (everyone is)

I love the trope where Tim jump scares people by reminding them he’s Janet Drake’s son.

Android Tim Drake AU:
Drake Industries announced they had successfully created realistic-looking androids that passed the Turing Test (and harder versions of it). They were planning to release commercial models to the public within twenty years.
To go a step farther, the Drakes wanted to ensure no one was skeptical of the androids' abilities to pass as human. Thus, Janet and Jack Drake had a healthy "human" baby by the name of Timothy Jackson Drake. The only individuals aware of this are Tim, Janet, Jack, and a small handful of engineers bound with a fuck ton of NDAs. They planned to tell the public when Tim was eighteen.
While Janet and Jack Drake are aware of Tim's ability to mimic emotions, they do not believe him to be capable of actually feeling them. This leads to Tim's childhood being lonely and neglectful. He is a robot.
At first, Tim is incapable of consuming human foods or using his touch sense. They fix his touch sense by the time he is four (and thus Dick is his first hug), and the food by the time he is six. He is constantly undergoing repairs to allow him to mimic the growth pattern of a child. It's when he is nine that he finally gets pain sensors to discourage and alert him to damage.
Tim is, for all intents and purposes, legally a human. When Janet dies and Jack gets into a coma, Tim stops receiving "growth spurts." He remains the same size even after Jack wakes up from his coma.
When Tim becomes Robin, he does not disclose his status with Bruce, Dick, or anyone else. Given that his parents treat him like an object, a machine, and incapable of feelings, Tim doesn't want to be subjected to that by his heroes either.
Instead, he gaslights the hell out of the Bats, villains, and other heroes whenever he gets hit.
["Tim! You got flung into a building. You are getting a medical exam."
Tim narrows his eyes as his eyebrows raise in surprise. "Bruce.... what are you talking about?"
"I saw you get thrown into a building. You're not getting out of this."
Tim glances to the side and then back to his mentor. He carefully places a hand on Bruce's shoulder. "B... Maybe we should have Alfred check you over."
Bruce blinks in shock as his brows furrow. "What?"
Tim purses his lips and shakes his head in pity. "It's okay, B. We'll figure it out. Whatever is going on, we'll fix it."
Bruce is so confused and concerned he doesn't ask Tim to get a medical check and agrees to be checked over instead.]
Tim becomes an expert at repairing himself because he can't explain to the engineers (most of who were let go after Janet died) how he got damaged. He spends a lot of nights alone in his room turning off his pain sensors (which isn't an automatic process and is difficult to reach)in order to fix the mangled hand, the gaping gash, the crooked foot, etc.
Kon, and conversely YJ, are the first to find out about his status (darn x-ray vision and super hearing). This encourages Tim to create artificial sounds within himself to fool Superman when they first meet. This also forces Tim to wear a long-sleeved uniform and a hood to hide from x-ray vision.
Tim finds comradery with Red Tornado.
When Jack wakes up from his coma, he originally treats Tim as he did before: an object. Dana, though, changes this. Jack can't explain why he treats his "son" that way and slowly morphs into becoming a good father.
It starts as only occurring when Dana is in the room and ends with a very bitter and antagonistic Jack when she leaves. He is initially disturbed by how much Tim is "faking" emotions, particularly because Tim learned to conceal his emotions from his parents as a coping mechanism (not that Jack knows this).
As they start spending more and more time together, Jack begins accepting the idea that Tim is capable of emotions. He starts caring and loving the kid as his own.
Because of this, Jack becomes fearful for Tim. When he learns that Tim is Robin, he is both jealous of Bruce's relationship with Tim and absolutely terrified for his son (what happens if people find out that Tim is an android? How would they treat him? Tim told Jack the Waynes don't know about his status. What if Tim gets injured too badly during a mission and they find out?)
This is why Jack initially forbids Tim from being Robin. There is way too much at stake for Tim if he continues (even though, theoretically, Tim can't die. Jack can keep saves of Tim and import him into a new body if necessary. They both don't want to do this, however, because Tim's body is his. It would feel weird and wrong to put him in another one).
While Tim is prohibited from being Robin, Jack bankrupts his company in the process of getting Tim rights. He bribes the hell out of judges, law makers, etc. to subtly put I'm rights for androids. He wants Tim to have full access to his inheritance, to freedom, and to everything humans can do. He doesn't want Tim to be without it.
Tim doesn't understand why Drake Industries is going under and is pissed at Jack for preventing him from being Robin. Robin is everything to Tim. It allows him to be treated as human. It connects him to so many people.
It's only afterwards, when Tim is finally allowed to be Robin again (and Jack has ensured he did everything he could for now for Tim's rights), that Tim fully understands how much Jack loves and cares for him.
Then Jack dies.
Tim is able to hide the fact that he's an android up until a Red Helmet asshole breaks into the Tower. While YJ whisk him away before the Bats can find out, Jason knows. Jason found out.

Danny as Janet drake
Danny gets captured by the GIW but gets freed later on by redeemed Vlad and dan. The GIW have faked Danny's death so Danny can't go back home. Danny is also terrified of the GIW So they go so far out as to change not just name but gender on all the information.
Danny lives with Vlad and Dan as Vlad's niece and is brought to Vlad business things and Galas.Vlad was injured during the Escape so Danny said to be family moving in to make sure he's okay. Danny looks just like Dan so they can easily pass off as cousins.
Danny meets Jack drake at a Gala and one thing leads to another, Due to shapeshifting and ghost powers Danny has Tim. They got married to avoid a higher Society scandal. Tim Is born with only a small ghost core and sensitivity to the supernatural but no ghost powers. Danny and Jack move around a lot due to Danny's fear of the GIW. Danny tries to get connections to a lot of people because of being terrified of just disappearing due to the GIW.
Danny has drake manor as a lair. Danny has quite a hard time bringing people there outside of tim and jack Due to ghost instincts. Tim realizes this at a younger age and starts asking Danny if they can stay home alone, not liking that their mom is agitated due to the people coming in and out of their house. Danny, not realizing what age kids are supposed to be staying home alone due to their own experience, thinks that's a great idea. Danny leaves Tim at the house to try and give him a stable place of living instead of moving around all the time and to keep him close to friends.
I have three ways that this idea can go.
1. Danny realizes that Tim is going out to be a vigilante when they get home the first night he really goes out and puts two and two together. They put together who Tim could be and Conference Bruce about it. Bruce expects to hate Tim's mom  thinking it's a case of neglect not realizing that Danny's about to hand him his ass due to their own bad experiences of being a vigilante at a young age.
2. Danny recognizes the signs of teen vigilantism and sits Tim down for a talk. The talk is mostly if they're being safe and that they can call them anytime they want. They teach them the signs to look out for if they start developing powers due to being in close Proximity with unknown substances and death.Tim instantly calls his mom after seeing Jason's eyes flash green.
3. It follows Canon And Danny fully dies. Danny gets stuck in the ghost Zone after his death but has people like clockwork or other spirits looking after his kid.  Tim finds out about Danny being scared of the GIW and looking into Vladco due to a case after Danny's death.  it would be later in the timeline and be due to a case that multiple people were working on. they would be investigating a secret project and see the name of the GIW. They would find out that Vladco used to work well with them but pulled out because of what is said to be working differences. They look into who runs Vladco and Tim recognizes the names. He used to visit Vlad for Christmas and  knows Dan as family. I don't think he would have talked to them since his parents funeral but definitely still gets invited to family things.

Tim gets full named by bruce, and raises his eyebrow back at him
It's a showdown for everyone else but bruce knows, he knows the moment that gosh darn eyebrow goes up he has lost
Because it is the exact copy of Janet drake, who, in his humble opinion, is terrifying
So yeah, bruce takes the L but anyone who knew Janet drake would fully understand

What if there is a world where Jack and Janet swapped, and who got the coma, etc part 2.
Frankly, I am as surprised as you that my brain came up with part two, but you know how it goes with me trying to go to sleep. The Joker has Tim tied up and fully ready to turn Tim into a mini-me. Joker: "This is going to be fun, having a mini-me. What a brilliant idea, if I say so myself, haha. Not even the Bat knows where you've gone, little bird. And he won't see you until we are done here, haha. What a great joke it will be when you look exactly like me, but you'll be my stepchild, haha. " Tim: "Did you ask Mother for permission "so-called-stepfather"." Joker roars out in laughter: "Hahaha ask mother for permission, What a joke. " Tim: "So that's a no, then." Joker: "Haha, of course it's a no, birdie. But calling Batman mother for sure made my day, haha." Tim: "I wasn't talking about Batman." Joker: "So your mother is scarier than Batman, hahaha." Tim: "Yes." Joker: "Well, I assure you if Batman can't find me, your mother wouldn't either, haha. " Tim: "You love to think so, clown." ---Time Skip--- Tim walks back into the cave after the Joker has had his attempt at kidnapping him. Tim is almost being tackled by the other worried bats. "Calm down, everyone, I'm fine." Tim turns to Jason and hands him a card. "Mother has acknowledged that you have been behaving and has made up a card for you. " Jason tentatively opened the card, considering how morbid Damien's card had been looking on the inside last time. The others, except Tim, looked at the card as a ticking time bomb. To everyone's surprise, Jason let out a squeal of excitement. Bruce went to look at the card, too, but Tim stopped him with a curt. "Don't." Dick sneaks a peek and abruptly turns green."Oh, gods, it's worse than last time."

I love when Tim has paradoxically both only ever done what he’s told and is terrified of overstepping boundaries, but also has done nothing but break rules his whole life. I don’t care that it doesn’t make sense, the former should be a trauma response from his upbringing (I will freely admit bad parents jack and Janet drake is fanon I like, I know its not everyone’s cup of tea) where he believes if he just follows the rules and does well enough, his parents will stay and love him, and and they angry at anything they perceive to be out of line, and the latter should be his natural response to things, when he isn’t preoccupied and he’s allowed to react on instinct/his own personal morals & ethics ESPECIALLY when they’re significantly grayer than anyone else in the batfam.
Like, he won’t break the no kill rule because those are the rules and he is terrified of losing his place in the batfam by angering Bruce, but also, when he’s running on instinct and survival, aka the search of Bruce, he makes much more ethically and morally grey decisions, etc
I love it even more when different batfam members only know about certain sides of that paradox. I LOVE when Bruce & Dick only ever think of him as a rule follower. I love when that’s Jason’s initial impression of him based on their description, but when he actually gets to know Tim on his own, his determination is that Bruce and dick know next to nothing about this kid, because he’s only ever known Tim as a rule breaker. I love when Damian assumes Tim is a rule follower and refuses to change his mind on it even when he’s shown time and time again that Tim is significantly more ruthless than he (Damian) is willing to accept. I love when Tim thinks back on calls he made with a “wtf was I thinking” reaction in both directions; both feeling appalled that he broke the rules and defied his parents, Bruce, etc, and feeling panicked and trying to erase all evidence it happened so he doesn’t get in trouble, but also looking back at times he followed the rules and it cost him dearly, cursing his inability to think for himself.
I love Tim angst

Jack looked at his son. This was his son? There wasn't any way in hell that this pathetic little kid was his son.
"Timothy."
"Jack."
Jason spoke before Tim did. That was a mistake.
"I addressed him."
He scolded. He was pointing to Tim. This was going to get ugly.
"Father."
He wanted to shrivel away from him, from the dark shadow standing in front of him.
Everything Jack said went over his head. He didn't hear a single word.
"Tim?"
Dick's voice sounded from somewhere behind him. It was difficult to hear.
"Timber?"
"Drake?"
Damian snapped in his face. Trying to bring him back. He was looking into space.
"What's going on?"
Janet's voice boomed. Suddenly Tim was back. But there was a look in his eyes, he was afraid. No... Afraid wasn't the right word.
He was terrified. He shifted. Trying to put as much space between himself and Janet as possible.
"I'm going to my room."

Chapter Eight: Pain in the Head
I hung out with Tim's friends and worked on character sheets. I spent three hours there before I told Tim I had to go. I had a great time. Don't get me wrong. But I was nauseous and didn't want to be sick at his house. Ives planned on sleeping over at Tim's place, so I didn't have to feel bad about leaving him home alone. I got a ride to the manor, and Bruce sat on the porch waiting for me as soon as I arrived. "Where have you been?" Bruce asked.
"I could ask you the same thing, Bruce... Can I go inside now?" I asked.
"You're pale," Bruce replied.
I wanted to lie down and nap, but I could tell Bruce didn't plan on letting things go. I didn't have the time or energy to explain myself, so I did what any reasonable teenager would do. I made myself throw up and burst into tears. "Jason," Bruce sighed before helping me to the family room. He couldn't accuse me of anything while I was sick. That and throwing up stopped the onset of a migraine.
"I'm so sorry, Bruce-."
"It's fine... When is the last time you took-. I swore I wouldn't ask you that," Bruce replied.
"I didn't think I needed them anymore... I thought I'd been feeling better lately," I replied. Bruce felt my forehead.
"I've been home for two days, and you-. Jason, I'm sorry for walking out on you. I wasn't trying to hurt you... I'm-. Our bond is different from the bond I have with anyone else. I'm holding on for dear life with you... And I know I'm losing you. I feel like you're slipping away when I look at you.
"I can't take the thought of knowing you suffered because I chose to leave you alone that day. Jason, you're so precious to me... And I'm terrified that if I let you talk about what happened, you'll say what I've been most afraid to hear," Bruce confessed. I wasn't in the mood for a serious conversation, but he was finally willing to speak about what happened to me.
"I don't hate you... And I don't blame you for what happened. I've been trying to tell you all this time," I paused, "I'm sure Dick told you I wanna die sometimes... But you don't realize what I have to experience every day."
Bruce exhaled through his nose. "Go ahead..."
"I wake up under debris almost every day... And then I lie about my nerve pain, which I know everyone can see. By the time I get to the mirror, I'm already so disheartened by the countless efforts I've made to appear normal that I barely notice my scars anymore. When I shower, my skin still hurts like the burns are fresh, and I want to cry, but if I do, I'd never get anything done. Then, I come down for breakfast... And sometimes the medications I'm on make me so sick I don't want to eat, but I know I'd be worse off if I didn't.
"Then I go to school, and you wouldn't believe what they say about me," I swallowed hard.
"Jason-."
"But I endure it because I know I have to... What I can't stomach is the isolation. Don't ice me out, Bruce," I begged. Bruce sighed.
"I don't know how-. I can't pretend that almost losing you didn't change the entire way I had to look at our life. You can't be Robin anymore, Jason, and I feel awful for having to take that away from you," Bruce whispered.
"You're saying our, but you mean mine. How can you expect me to step down from being Robin when you can't even walk away from being Batman?" I asked.
"Jason, it's been over a year, and you're still healing. I can't risk putting you out in the field again. Gotham needs Batman-."
"Bullshit," I snapped.
"Language-." "Oh! Go to hell! I told you about all my issues, thinking you would finally see me, and I realized you're no better than the rest of them!" I yelled. I couldn't help but get mad. I should've seen it coming. He'd never had the guts to say it, but I knew this was his way of shutting me out for good. It pissed me off. I threw my crutches and hobbled upstairs.
"Jason! Jason, you can't-!"
"Screw you!" I yelled as I went to my room. I slammed the door and packed my bag. I almost forgot I felt sick. He saw me as weak. That was the worst thing he could've ever opened his mouth to admit. He was no better than everyone that gaped and gawked at me. I was his walking tragedy, and I'd be damned if I let him treat me like a ghost.
I started packing with tears in my eyes. I wanted to get out of there before I said something vile. "Jason, don't be like this! Please come out and talk to me-."
"Bruce, I need to get the hell away from you before I say something I regret!" I hollered. "And I guarantee that if you follow me, I will never come home! Leave my crutches and get away from me!" I sat down and texted Tim. He was the only person I could trust at that moment. I asked him to come to get me, and he texted me immediately. I waited in my room until Tim texted me, and I left my bedroom. Bruce left my crutches in front of the door and retreated like always. I slung my duffel across my body like a messenger bag, hoping it wouldn't throw me off balance.
I swung the door open and left it like that. Tim took my bag and opened his mouth to ask if I was okay, but he kept quiet. It was for the best because I was in a particularly heinous mood. I fell asleep in the car and woke up in Tim's guest room. He was on the floor with Ives, eating pizza. My head throbbed, and I felt sicker than I did earlier. Ives glanced at me and got up to turn the lights down. "Sorry, were we too loud?" Ives questioned.
"No, I-. How long have I been out?" I asked.
"Thirty minutes... Maybe an hour," Tim answered, "Do you need an aspirin?"
I pressed my palms against my eyelids. "No thanks... Tim, do you-? Who carried me in?" I asked.
"We both did. Tim got you out of the car but wasn't strong enough to get you up the stairs. It was a team effort," Ives answered, "You're heavier than you look." I let out a soft chuckle despite the pounding in my head.
"Know how I asked you to move in with me?" I questioned. "Could it still work if it were the other way around?"
"You wanna live here?" Tim asked. I nodded. "Alright." I was shocked. I thought he'd say no, but he looked thrilled.

List request batfamily’s worst hair day ever
[Warning for parasites/bugs in Babs' entry.]
Dick - a witch once gave him his dream hair. Waist length, perfectly straight, stayed in a ponytail without needing to be coated with gel first. Even Babs, his primary Mullet-Hater, seemed to find it attractive! And then it turned out the hair was actually sentient, and sucking out his memories. So he had to cut it off. He sulked for weeks.
Babs - the same witch gave her techno-lice. Little nanobots creeping around her scalp, their skittering feet far easier to feel than normal lice, though they were no easier to remove. Also trying to suck out her memories. She could see movement when she looked in the mirror! Babs isn't scared of bugs, but MEMORY-SUCKING BUGS?! She was ready to take a flamethrower to her scalp.
Jason - one of Ivy's creations mimicked certain puberty hormones. Jason spent hours growing hair EVERYWHERE. It was the height of summer. He had a beard! His whole body itched, he stank, and he had to remove layers to avoid heat stroke so everyone SAW. Just awful.
Tim - secretly, he's enjoyed most of his hair disasters. Doing stupid stuff with his hair and then being very deadpan while his companions suffer is delightful enrichment for him. But he was once at a gala, mildly disguised, and someone mistook him for his mom. Because he'd accidentally recreated one of her Business Looks. He'd been in a SUIT! The idea of Butch Janet has traumatized him for life and that was the worst hair day.
Steph - dyed her hair on a day that SOME Rogue had dumped something into the water supply. It turned out a patchwork of green, orange, bleached white, and black. She was terrified of mind control chemicals, or Joker Toxin, but apparently she doesn't get to have BADASS problems. Just an embarrassing dye job that she couldn't afford to get professionally fixed.
Cass - Wanted to go to her second rave. Got distracted by being Batgirl and didn't have much time to get ready. No hairgel in the apartment, and Tim was being moody and no fun, so she tried to find a solution herself. 'School glue' is not like 'children's markers' - it doesn't wash out after. She did not want to cut her hair off, but roots growing out with weird chunky blobs at the ends does not look good.
Damian - unknowingly wore the same spiked hairstyle as 13-year-old Drake for THREE WEEKS as Robin. He was foolish enough to think it LOOKED GOOD. He can trust no one.
Duke - still isn't sure what happened. He was in one of Ivy's parks, but when she finally turned up to free him she acted like HE was the one who had brought the weird hair-growing mist. Complained about him damaging her plants with his 'mammalian filaments'. Why would ANYONE choose to grow a 3 foot halo of hair that grew AROUND the underbrush he was trying to get out of?? He was stuck for almost 40 minutes! At least she just gave him a shave and kicked him out, it could have been a lot worse.
Bruce - involved alien ... pollen? Slime? Difficult to fit in an Earth classification system. His hair started melting, very slowly. As it melted, it stretched and oozed across his face. And then everywhere it touched also started sprouting wet hair? He has locked the report.
Alfred - back in his pre-butler days. Involved a theatrical wig attached with ENTIRELY the wrong adhesive. By the time he realized that taking it off was not going to work, the wig was half destroyed and he'd lost several patches of hair. There was no recovery by that point.

My personal favorite way ppl write janet is when she’s a stone cold bitch. She’s sharp and cruel and manipulative and people fear her. Her marriage to jack is an empty one. But if theres anything in this world that she would reach up to tear the heavens down for, its her baby. Her Timothy, her little prince. Her child who learned how to soften his face and feed other pretty lies and draw them into his web. Her little miracle who she carried and bled for who she taught to manipulate and trick because she saw this tiny, tiny boy and knew he would never pack on muscle but she would be damned if she didnt give him every weapon and card he could ever need. A janet drake who bears a large resemblance to her son, whether its physically or not.(its also hilarious when in these types of fics, bruce is just absolutely terrified of janet/ was terrified of janet when they were kids lmao. 10/10 trope)
Fuck yes. Give me cruel, cutting Janet who dotes on her son.
Show me Janet and her obsessive all-consuming love. The way she teaches Tim to pull strings and manipulate. Her lessons on protecting what is theirs even if it causes the world to crumble at their fingertips.
Perhaps there was a time when she loved Jack, or maybe she was always using them for her goals.
Give me morally grey Janet. She loves Tim even if she's not home enough or her teachings are not healthy. She doesn't need to be a morally sound character, but one that instills Tim with his burning, consuming love.
Janet was always fiercely protective of her son, but her type of protection morphed when she saw her child (maybe six) being preyed on (either by other kids or something darker). She saw how weak and helpless he was and vowed to change him into a Drake.
She showed her son the various masks she wore, the intricate double (or triple or quadruple) meanings behind words, and how to read people. If Tim couldn't physically protect himself, she'd teach him how to get others to do it for him.
That is her child. Even if her love was distant, it was a feverent, vigilant love.
Tim would have whatever tools he needed to be safe.
(Also, agree about Bruce. It is hilarious when fics show Bruce flinching when Tim acts a little too much like his mom)

soooo one of my moots @punkeropercyjackson posted these really cool batfam designs using this picrew, and i wanted to do some of my own, although unfortunately i am also cursed with the Must Give Every Character Acne and Moles disease bc i have acne and moles and want to give everyone acne and moles so....
i did Duke, Steph, Cass, Jason, Dick, Tim, Babs, Damian and MAPS (i did age up maps and damian though, because i was wanted to play around with the idea of their future designs) and i also gave them specific places to be because why not
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Duke, Damian and Jason chilling on the subway!! Duke is telling a very long story because Jason asked him to help out with the crossword and Damian zoned out 37 minutes ago. i wanted to give damian a long ponytail but there was no option in the picrew, so this is the closest i could get
Tumblr media Tumblr media
next, cass and steph, hanging out and makin out. i've officially become enamoured with the blasian stephanie brown headcanon and it will become apart of my own design for her next time i draw her
Tumblr media
Tim's playing Dark Souls (or as i like to imagine it's called in the dc universe, Shadowed Spirits). i have similarly become enamoured with the cherokee tim drake hc but i've also loved the idea of him being vietnamese so now he's both, 2 me @ least. i make the rules. also the pearls he's wearing used to be Janet's because i thought that was sweet.
Tumblr media
barbara my favourite losergirl. she's waiting for dinah to text her back.
Tumblr media
MAPS is wandering around gotham with a friend of hers :)))
Tumblr media
and this is prolly the one i diverged from canon from the most. Dick grayson everyone!!! is he trans? is he cis? is he mtf? is he ftm? is he gnc? nobody knows! but what they do know is that he just kicked a guys ass outside of a gas station for catcalling and they are terrified of him.
i enjoyed this immensely. also i'm not gonna bother tagging this w all the characters...
