Being an elder isn't slowing Lizzy down. She's still hungry for knowledge...

...and still climbing that career ladder as a result.

Until one day, there's someone there to meet her when she gets home from work...

As Lizzy leaves this mortal plane - through the mailbox - Henry's friend from work Jan Tellerman seems disproportionately upset over the death of someone she hardly knows. But those turn out to be crocodile tears that she's shedding...

With Jan waiting for her moment, Henry takes consolation for his loss in his feline friend.

Henry is surprised and flattered - he never realised that Jan might feel that way about him, although he has just received quite a nice pay-out for the loss of his beloved wife, which could certainly be contributing to his current appeal...

Jan is sending out some rather mixed signals though. It seems she possibly finds his money attractive, but his personal attributes not quite so much.

Over in Sanditon, it's granddaughter Esme's first birthday! She looks so much like mum Eleanor.

With the kids growing up and space in their small bungalow at a premium, Eleanor and Esther decide it's time to get their house in order, and they lay their beloved rescue dogs Max and Buffy to rest in the corner of Sanditon cemetery that has been set aside for pets; and we enjoy a spontaneous romantic interlude between Townies Marisa Bendett and Benjamin Long - aww!

However, it soon becomes clear to everyone that the most satisfactory situation all round would be for the family to move in with widower Henry, back in Merybury, where there's plenty of space for the children to grow. Ellis's first priority is to introduce himself to Kobe.

It's been a long while since Henry has had rugrats playing on the rug.

But he hasn't forgotten how to be the most attentive dad/granddad ever.

Townieville!

A little project that was supposed to be just for fun, but felt so cool I decided to give it a little more character, make it CC-free and share it.

I adore the original townies of the base game. At some point I noticed that some of the adults share similarities with teens and kids - so I figured out how to merge them into whole families, based on their shared face templates, genetics and/or last names. Sadly, some last names were lost in the process, so I kept a few of them alive in street names.

And there are two things that annoy me about this town. First, FIVE (5) Sims use the 7th face template (Marylena, Melissa, teen Ivy, Orlando and Chandler). Second, the names Ivy and Orlando are doubled. But well, they're townies originally!

There are 12 families, that's quite a lot for a starting neighborhood, but many of them are single Sims (often single parents), so they have the potential to merge.

The families:

Bendett-LeTourneau Marisa Bendett and her daughters Sophie and Meadow, Brandi LeTourneau and her kids Alvin and Chloe.

GilsCarbo Goopy GilsCarbo is married to Marylena Hamilton (now GilsCarbo) and they have a teenage daughter named Ivy.

Cox Kennedy, Melissa and their two sons: Orlando and Chandler. They own a dog named Otis. Chandler is not Kennedy's biological son, see Melissa's memories for details.

Copur Ivy Copur and her roommate Abhijeet Deppiesse.

Tellerman Jan living alone, next door to her brother Komei.

Tellerman Komei, Christy and their daughter Brittany. There's a new baby on the way!

Centowski Orlando and Ricky living alone as teenagers after both their parents passed away.

Sims Benjamin Cox (Kennedy's brother), his fiancé Amin Sims, and their cat Heidi.

Sims Joe Sims (Amin's brother) and his daughter Marsha.

Lillard Brandon and his a lot younger sister Tosha.

Hogan Andrea and her teenage son Randy.

Other population notes: Anything other than the Pleasantview game folder has been cleared out of character files, so there are no vanilla pets, social groups, garden club members etc. All service Sims are Maxis because they belong in the Pleasantview folder. The only typically Maxis pets are Otis and Heidi that are replicas of the original adoption pool pets made in CAS. Other than that, if you call the adoption center, the game will spawn brand new strays and pets to adopt (NoStrayRespawn will prevent it). So don't panic if your game freezes for a few seconds! The only dog that already exists is a beta wolf named Bob. The alpha wolf is also to be generated and his name will probably be Balin. Since the townies are now playables, I made a few townie children, teens and adults. They are CAS Bin Sims. There's also the founder Sim that I needed as the first playable to spawn all the townies on the lot (his name is Deighton Freeman) and Nerissa Bee who's supposed to be the clothing store owner. This neighborhood has no subhoods. Feel free to add them if needed.

Genetics I fixed all "dyed hair" genetics, so e.g. Brandi LeTourneau now has brown hair genetically. I also gave everyone recessive genes, so they're not homozygous.

Townieville landscape: Made on the Sedona map but in lush, the town gives (as one of my viewers pointed out) the Blue Ridge Mountains vibe! So it could be located in North Carolina or Virginia.

All the houses are Maxis, just furnished by me. Some of them have been reconstructed on the inside so the families have enough space. Four families live in an apartment building that I built from scratch.

There are many needed community lots: a town pool, a clothing store, a convenience store, a game arcade, a tiny bistro, a park, a graveyard. Some of them are built by me and some are Maxis lots from the bin (often edited by me). There's also a lake beach on the hill, close to the Sims family.

The town revolves around a big hospital building where Brandi and Marisa work as doctors.

VERSION 2!!! Townieville's download has been updated. I edited some Sims' age* and gave them fewer skills (looked more closely into all Sims in that matter). Also the Hogan family didn't have a phone and a working kitchen counter because duhh. If you haven't started playing yet before 30 Sep 2024, I recommend redownloading! Actually, 17 October is the PROPER download. On 30 Sep I uploaded my already played neighborhood due to confusing folders 😅

*at first, I managed their age according to my custom lifespan, but then decided to go all Maxis, especially that it looked as if some Sims weren't aging (they were, but the age display didn't show any progress because it can only go so far as 29 days away).

Who are the original townies, actually? And who are the social class townies from Apartment Life? What kind of lives do they lead?? Well, this is where they live now and we're going to find out! (pictures are unedited bc I can't be bothered rn sorry :D )

nhood is the empty New Pleasantview. It's such an incredible gem I can't recommend it enough!!

Rules:

townies with the same last name will be set as siblings (e.g. Jan Tellerman and Komei Tellerman)

townies all have an ACR token and their attractions were randomized: 50% are bi, 25% gay and 25% straight

God does play favorites: I pick and choose which townies I want to be playable and let their lives develop

idk I make things up as I go, I want to have fun and that's it

I'm not sure how much I'll be posting, I want to have fun without the obligation to share everything, but at the same time I like to keep track of the events so posting is useful for me as well. I don't know anything at all but I hope you enjoy the ride!

Oldie Family

Herb and Coral aren't passionately involved anymore but still enjoy each other's company. Both of them mistake their loveless marriage as "just something that happens with age" because it's easier to say that than admit the truth.

By day, Herb is a regular at Woodland Park for its great fishing!

By night, Herb attempts to reclaim his youth with a lustful night life. Herb/Jan Tellerman get together the most but he dates a lot of Townie PV women.

Herb dies of old age and Coral mourns his grave at the Pleasant Cemetery (which I made for this PV save!). Coral moves out of their bungalow home soon after and moves in with her daughter Mary-Sue at the Pleasant house, thus ending the Oldie household.

Standalone update to my Less Gendered Faces in the style of @meowingcookie 's Baby Faces... but Less Gendered.

Download "Babyface" an addon for my Less-Gendered Faces (the rest of the set is here & this is the place you click to get all the other ages) "Unfortunately, it works."

This is JUST the baby faces for EVERY face other than Face 2 & Alien (which are already included in the original Less Gendered Set). This WILL NOT affect Sims that already exist in your game; any Townies spawned after you install this or any Sims created in CAS using my templates will have Babyface DNA to pass on.

You still need to download the rest of the Less Gendered face defaults set if you don't already have it & want it. Or if you just want mismatched little potato children, that can work too, as long as you don't have both my faces & @meowingcookie 's faces installed at the same time.

The first pic is the results of (recreated in my templates), Goopy Gilscarbo, Sandy Bruty, & Brandon Lillard having children together.

The second pic is the results of (recreated in my templates), Andrea Hogan, Komei Tellerman, & Jan Tellerman having children together.

The 3rd pic is what happens when the Sims from Pic 1 grow up & have babies with the Sims from Pic 2.

Babies range from "acceptably cute" to "that child looks like their parent (slightly derogatory)" to "that is an actual potato".

Welcome to the decadent and empty life of Daniel Pleasant who now lives in a condo in the condo district. At least Jan Tellerman - now King, said no to your advances. Of course she knows what's good for her - don't want to get on Gordon King's wrong side as you might disappear without a trace...

Lilith passed by and Daniel was eager to hear what Mary-Sue has been up to since the divorce, but Lilith knew he just wanted to use her for information and told him exactly what she thought of him and his sleazy behavior. Daniel felt the sting of her rejection rather intensely.

Vestals, year 1: fall

again, a short post. Hota is working hard to earn money.

Fia is staying at home. I rearranged the festivities and changed the customs a bit, so the festival of Bona Dea would be arranged by the Vestals and celebrated here as well - way easier to keep the men out. Fia is interested in the blonde girl (Jan Tellerman, one of the default townies), but Jan is straight, so I don't think it will work out. the festival was very modest. I prepared a room for them to spend time in, but everyone wanted to eat in the kitchen. it wasn't a total disaster, though.

This sad wet cat is quite obviously Bella Goth. I needed a sim created in CAS or at least from the family bin to start with, so I added her to Townieville or whatever the nhood name is. I can't stop calling it New Pleasantview because it's so well made that I feel like changing its name is an insult lol. Anyway, what is Bella up to?

You know, after being kidnapped by aliens, witnessing her cloning, and seeing her former sister-in-law Dina bonding with Mortimer, I would say she's allowed to lose some of her sanity, right? Poor woman has seen the unimaginable. Having her as part of the original townies made sense to me. Do you think she wants to return to her husband, or do you think she wants to start a new life and find peace? I'm not sure. I can't decide.

Her misadventures so far:

Tried and failed to bond with uh, what's his name? I swear this moment was so stereotypical lmaooo it looks like a boomer meme, the man cheering for the match and the woman being upset. I couldn't make this up I swear

Then she tried bonding with Komei Tellerman, she actually has the ACR hots for him but somehow he up and left right after lunch??? (Tho tbf it happened to me once too. Dude had me cook lunch for him at 2pm and immediately left when I brought the first plate to the sink. It's a major red flag, Bella.)

Then she went to a restaurant to, once again, TRY and make some friends but instead she witnessed Komei's sister, Jan Tellerman, aggressively flirt with Andrea Hogan. They got a mutual crush so obviously Jan is now our second playable, because she turned from Background Character to Main Character and honestly? good for her. and poor Bella.
