hello!! I just wanna pop in and say I adore your art so much!! (Your art style is so amazing and I love your adventure time art))
I really love your adventure time-gravity falls au and I was wondering about the storyline of it? It seems so interesting and cool!
It does follow the main plot of the og series, with Finn and Fern having to live with Jake for the summer by their parents (I’m still figuring out whether Minerva and Martin kne w Joshua and Margret or just Jake long enough for them to be comfortable sending their kids to Ooo)
Jake turns his parents’ house into the mystery shack like Stan with his brother’s, followed by Fern finding the enchiridion and the rest of the series’ events starting off afterwards

➸ note; just a summary of the sims :)
➸ word count; 2189 words
➸ warning(s); accidental pregnancy x2, a bit suggestive, birth & feeding, cryptic pregnancy
enhypen masterlist (lnks will be added later)
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⋆✦⋆ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
you and jake meet when he and jay go to a bar together lol the two of you can’t stop staring at each other and jay, with the help of some liquid courage, convinces jake to go up to you and get your number
so you start hanging out
he’s so shy with you at first because he has such a big crush and you think he’s just adorable
one day he just thinks fuck it and kisses you and the rest is history
you’d been together for seven years and engaged for a few months when you get pregnant
you were usually great with protection but one time you’d run out of condoms and just decided to take the risk
you were terrified to tell him but he was excited, but a bit unsure of what to do
once your little bump and everything shows up he’s obsessed
very touchy, waits on you hand and foot
all the members are super excited, they love sam so another enha baby to love is super exciting
achy is probably the best way to sum up your pregnancy, your back and feet hurt a lot all of the time
when you find out you’re having a girl he gets so giddy
definitely loves a good chat with the bump
goes all shy and bashful when she responds to him
i don’t imagine him being the type to sing to the baby?? i think he’s much more of a talker
never ever gets tired of her moving, can literally just picture him at night being the big spoon with his hand on your bump, his chest aches every time she kicks or moves
when she moves around on the scans you can literally see stars in his eyes
thinks you’re just the cutest when you get big, waddling around in his hoodies
keeps the latest scan photo in his wallet
your third trimester is in winter so the fireplace in your apartment is on in the evenings
lots of cuddles together
you very rarely feel insecure because jake makes it very clear just how attractive he finds you
it helps that you’re so hormonal that you’re constantly trying to jump his bones and he is… very receptive to that
the two of you decide to have a home birth, you love your apartment so much and its a place of comfort for you
also there’s no hassle or stress with transporting her home from a hospital or packing a bag etc
your labour is pretty nice, as much as it can be
you were only in labour for about 9 hours, and being at home surrounded by your familiar walls with the lights dimmed down
jake of course was incredibly supportive the whole time
ella ara sim is born 10th april at your home in seoul
jake delivered her in your bathtub, and cuts the cord
the greatest moment of his entire life
ella is a very chilled baby
feeds happily, is easily soothed
loves her daddy, jake can get her to stop crying faster than anyone
you slightly worry he holds her too much, he likes to sit by your floor to ceiling windows overlooking seoul and talk to her for hours about life and all the fun things you’ll do together when she’s older
he holds her in the early mornings in bed, on his chest or in his arms while he scrolls through his phone
these moments definitely help your relationship, when you’re both tired and drained you just sit together with or without the baby
even if you don’t talk you just have this sense that you’re in this together and you understand each other without word
Jake loves it when you’re able to pump, he loves being the one to give her bottles
ella is only the second enha baby after sam and jay is very insistent on regular playdates, he wants them to be besties so bad
they’re actually quite indifferent to each other lol
shows her off to everyone who will look
has a little silver ‘e’ necklace
when she’s about a year old she visits australia for the first time
jake fusses over her like crazy, it’s australian summer so he’s constantly smothering her with suncream and she’s got her lil bucket hat on
holds her in the pool in his family’s backyard, gently lifting her up and dunking her legs in and out of the water while she giggles like crazy
takes her to meet koalas
he loves her to be girly, thinks she’s just the cutest when she has cute little floral clothes
her giggles are his favourite sound in the whole world
purposely tickles her so that she giggles
once he tickles her for so long that she starts coughing and you get annoyed with him
doesn’t tickle her for a while after that
actually doesn’t mind playing with her, will happily sink hours into tea parties and roleplay
the BIGGEST daddy girl
her first word is dada
first steps are towards jake
jake is so fucking happy
later that night he just sobs and thanks you over and over and over for giving him his perfect baby girl
always wants to be in his arms or on his lap
jake always allows her to climb all over him and will smother her with kisses
when ella is 2 you guys finally get married, she’s one of your little bridesmaids
jake spends a lot of time dancing with her during the reception
you enjoy married life for a while, and when ella is 3, jake begins to miss her baby days
so, the two of you decide to start trying again
about 8-9 months later you’re pregnant
jake is so so excited he wants to tell el straight away but you shut him down lmao
eventually when you do tell her jake is so excited, his eyes are practically sparkling when he tells her she’s going to be a big sister
you’re pretty much bed bound and sick for the first 4-5 months, you throw up a lot
you get a lot of migraines
jake is great as usual
you and jake had talked about kids before having ella and both of you hoped for at least one of each, so when you found it it was a boy you were so happy
jake suggests his name, he just thinks its so cute
declan daehyun sim is born 1st october at your home in seoul, this time on your bed
jake also delivers him and cuts his cord
slightly more challenging baby
cries often for no real reason, no matter what you do he just cries
lots of sleepless nights
ella’s in primary school at this point so lots of daytime naps together
ella actually isn’t too jealous or anything, she comes and sits quietly next to you or jake when you’re holding declan and just watches him
she likes to hold him herself
dec is literally jake’s twin, your genes did not stand a single fucking chance
jake’s nose, jake’s eyes, jake’s mouth, jake’s hair
gets more and more clear as he grows into a toddler, everyone comments on it
i feel like jake is just as much of a boy dad as he is a girl dad like he has two sides
loves playing legos and football with dec
when dec is born you move into your ‘forever home’, a big apartment in seoul
there’s a pool in your apartment complex so you best believe most nights after dinner jake takes the kids down
when declan is around 18 months, you start throwing up and it doesn’t stop for a couple of weeks and you and jake are like… what the hell
you were on birth control that didn’t give you periods so you didn’t think it would be pregnancy but alas…
you go to the doctor and you’re 5 months pregnant and you had no idea
bit of a shock of course
you don’t know how to react at first
like dec is still so young, your birth control had clearly failed, you only had 4 months to prepare
but there obviously isn’t much you can really do other than just start gearing up for your baby’s arrival
you get a bump and some symptoms soon after you find out
pregnancy starts kicking your ass during the third trimester though, doesn’t help you’re running after declan all day
jake of course is the best like you don’t even need to say anything, if you’re having a hard day he can just tell and will do anything to alleviate your stress
like if declan is being a lil shit and you’re stressed jake will seamlessly distract him with something else
weirdly good at convincing declan he needs a nap
you decide to keep the gender a surprise because you know this will definitely be your last one and you’ve had enough surprises yk
eve sim was born at your home 8th september
born on your bed
jake delivers her and cuts the cord
you’re both ecstatic with another girl, she’s the double of ella as a baby
you don’t give her a name until she’s a couple of days old, jake starts calling her evie cause he thinks it sounds cute, you decide on eve cause it works in korean too
ella loves eve, she’s so excited to have a sister
declan is not so sure
he’s a bit jealous, especially since he’s still a little baby himself
is a little bratty about it too
you’ll sit down to feed eve and he’ll come up to you and start whining and tugging on your pants
cue jake waltzing in to distract him
i don’t think jake would be very strict
he is very much their friend and ally and they know that
hates punishments and discipline, i mean he’ll dish it out but really struggles to stay strong when they cry or get upset
will apologise for having to do it afterwards
i don’t think he would be a very pushy parent, wouldn’t be too strict about grades or extra curriculars, but will support them in whatever it is
the kids go to swimming lessons, but jake loves to help them in your pool at home, it reminds him of his childhood in Australia
definitely the type to just launch them in the air much to your horror
loves it when the kids come to see a concert, just the knowledge that the kids are in the crowd gives him a little extra energy
engene posting on twitter that jake looks so happy
everything is all about the kids backstage, if they’re there then jake and the members are smothering them in attention
if he goes on your without them he always comes back with toys
accidentally starts a tradition of buying a teddy in each place he goes
when you pick them up from school their plaits and ponytails and what have you obviously fell out hours ago
eve and ruby are a few months apart in age so they are besties of course
jake would absolutely say the worst part of being a father is the kids growing up, when they get too big for him to hold and cuddle properly is when his heart hurts when he looks at them
he loves babies so much and always always misses the baby days but seeing his kids grow into independent, strong willed, talented individuals makes him so proud
they’re always his baby girls/boy
even when they’re older he will still give them cuddles when they’re sad
the kids go to australia maybe once a year or every other year, visit jake’s family
but you settle in a big apartment in seoul
kids speak a mix of english and korean at home, there’s no real pattern to it
they speak english amongst each other but i think with jake they mix it up
they also use mainly english names at home, you and jake like them more
they use korean and korean names pretty much anywhere outside the house
although ella does get called el by the members and jake pretty much at all times
overall the sim family is so so so full of love <3

You knew this was the last summer. You knew because after 13 hard, long and excruciating years of education, Jake finally got accepted into his dream college, leaving you alone in this sad, miserable town.
As he was about to move on, live a happy, fresh, new life at university, you were going to be left all alone with your feelings for him.
It was sad. But while he was here, you tried to enjoy every moment spent together.  It was also extremely hard to not just fly into his arms and tell him how much in love you really are. But your brother was always watching. He was always there.
Lee Heeseung, your brother who you swore you hated, was the reason you got to meet Jake in the first place. They met in freshman year, when Heeseung decided to take soccer more seriously and actually pursue that career path. He would notoriously make fun of Jake for having pictures of soccer players plastered all over his walls. That's when Heeseung, Jake, Jay and Sunghoon became an inseparable friend group, doing quite literally everything together.
You remember everything so well. You still laugh about the time when they watched The Conjuring, and got so incredibly scared, they couldn't even go to the toilet alone. Heeseung, being the oldest, would be some sort of watcher, bodyguard, standing still in front of the bathroom doors, as all of them took turns using the toilet. As disgusting as it was, it's a fond memory for both you and them.
Heeseung used to always complain about you tagging along with them since you were a year younger than all of them, constantly latching onto them, but he got used to it. Jake was the only one who would always invite you in the beginning, and fight with Heeseung whenever complaints started spewing from his mouth. That was probably the first thing that made you fall for him.
Heeseung chose a college in town, deciding to do pedagogics on the side while he still pursued his soccer career. Jay and Sunghoon also chose a college nearby, only one town away, meaning the three of them would always be here.
Jake on the other side had some sick ambitions. When he set his mind on UCLA, he did everything in his power to get in. There was nothing wrong in that, but how could he leave them? How could he leave you?
"Let's make a bucket list" Jay said as all of you, plus your best friend, Yunjin, hogged the living room couch in Jake's house.
Another reason you didn't want Jake to leave. That damn couch. Everything in the 4 years of your friendship probably happened or started on that couch.
"We make one every summer" Heeseung said, shoving some popcorn into his mouth "And always end up freestyling it" he added unclearly, hence all the food in his mouth.
"You're disgusting," Yunjin inquired, pointing out Heeseung's disgusting habit.
He just mumbled a 'fuck you' in response and shoved another handful into his mouth.
"But this summers different, '' Jay said, reminding you once again that this was the last truly youthful summer your friend group would share.
You knew very well that everything would change when they went away to college. Obviously, they could come home for summer, but new friends, a buzzing, new, shiny social life were only a couple of reasons for them to not visit so often when summer comes around next year. The adult life they were about to step into was only gonna allow them to finally party all night long, go on road trips across the country and meet people who they would prefer to spend all their time with. So Jay was right, this summer was different, cause it was the last one.
"I'm down" Jake said, grabbing a pen and paper from the drawer. He passed it to Jay, who wrote a big, and definitely sloppy, 'OUR SUMMER'.
"Skydiving" Sunghoon said excitedly, pitching in the first idea.
"You know damn well" Yunjin said "Let's make it a tiny bit more realistic" Sunghoon just furrowed his eyebrows and continued to put on his thinking face.
"Let's do a sleepover. You know, like the ones we'd do in our childhood. Blanket fort and all'' you said, turning your face to Jay, as he was the designated leader for this bucket list making.
"I like that," Jake said, giving you a cheeky smile.
You'd rather he be rude towards you than give you all these weird signals. None of the guys would  be as nice to you as he was. What man would agree with you on everything, bring you anything you wanted at any time, give you rides at the latest hour, handpick flowers for you on a random Wednesday and buy you things just because they reminded him of you, if he didn't like you like that. Yet still, you were too slow to catch on.
"Sleepover. Blanket fort and all" Jay mumbled as he wrote down the first point to your list. "How about we drive down to that lake, get some beer, talk and shit?" he asked after he finished writing.
"With your wackass, dodgy looking fake ID, I'm guessing" Yunjin said, laughing.
"Give me some credit, it works every fucking time" Jay answered, pulling it out from his pocket.
"Okay James Blunderbuss, write it down" Heeseung, said examining the ID "Anton really did you wrong with that last name"
"Blackout drunk at Hanbin's birthday party" Sunghoon pleaded, pushing Jay to quickly write that down.
"Do you really need an excuse to get drunk that bad?" you asked, and Sunghoon hurriedly nodded his head. You laughed and told Jay to write it down.
"Kiss at least 20 sexy ladies," Heeseung said, puckering his lips.
"No way" Jake shaked his head "You can go be a slut on your own"
"Write down kiss Heeseung’s sister for Jake, cause I know he wants to so bad" Sunghoon laughed, emphasizing the 'so' part.
Jake playfully pushed him with his elbow, visibly getting red. You tried to laugh it off, but deep down you knew how bad you wanted it, unlike Jake, who took it as a funny joke.
"Let's do an early Secret Santa" Yunjin said.
"Yo, that's gonna be dope. I'm gonna get you that pink vibrator we saw at the store yesterday" Sunghoon said, turning to Heeseung. They honestly thought it was so hilarious.
"Not sure that's how it works, but i'll write Secret Santa down" Jay said
You all brainstormed ideas for the next hour. Some were honestly pretty bad, but the time you spent coming up with the list, will always be a good memory to you.
***
Near the end of May, in a room eloped in extreme heat, covered with sheets that clanged onto your skin, with a faulty air conditioner running that tried to keep up with the temperature, your phone buzzed.
Pulling you out of a trance, you quickly grabbed it hoping it was your delivery man, yet Jake's name decorated your home screen. It was getting late, the night crawling closer and closer, so the notification surprised you. You unlocked your phone hurriedly, wanting to see his message as fast as possible.
Jake: You wanna go on a drive in an hour?
If your brother wasn't home you'd honestly scream.
What had gotten into him? You've been trying to send him signals for the past four years, and suddenly after all that time he'd picked up on them? Or was he just trying to be friendly, knowing well he wouldn't be here next year.
You quickly replied with a 'sure' and got up to get yourself looking as pretty for him as possible. Maybe it was a little sad, the fact you were trying so hard for a man who didn't care, but it made you happy.
"What you getting all dolled up for?" Heeseung laughed as he stood in your doorway.
"Going out with Yunjin" you mumbled, delicately applying your lip tint.
"In a miniskirt and full beat on your face? You ain't slick young lady" he pointed out.
"We're taking photos for Insta. And this really isn't a miniskirt" you came up with yet another lie.
You honestly had no idea why you were lying to him. He probably wouldn't bat an eye if you just said you're going out with Jake. He's too dumb to even think twice about it.
"Can you just get out?" you turned to him, motioning for him to leave your room.
He put his hands up chuckling, and closed your door.
Your phone buzzed once again, signaling it was time for you to leave.
He parked his car just around the street. Heeseung called him earlier asking to hangout, but he already had plans. With you.
Obviously he couldn't tell Heeseung that, afraid your brother would blow up at him. If only he knew how dumb Heeseung really was when it came to stuff like this. He'd probably think you two are getting a surprise gift for him.
"You look pretty" Jake smiled, as he got out to open the door for you.
A light rosy tint decorated your cheeks, as you quietly thanked him.
"Didn't you want to hangout with Hoon and Hee? I saw them playing Fifa when I was leaving" you asked the boy next to you.
You couldn't help but stare at his face. He was so perfect in every way, so perfect you couldn't even put it into a cohesive sentence if you wanted to.
"I'd rather hang out with my favorite girl," he smiled, taking his eyes off the road for a moment to look at you.
"Woah okay, what about Rei then?" you questioned sarcastically.
"You will never let that go, will you?" Jake laughed, reminiscing about his freshman year crush.
"Well you were the one that couldn't stop yapping about her freshman year" you said, and he just put a finger to your lips, begging for you to stop talking about that embarrassing time in his life.
Rei was a senior, and honestly you envied her so much back then. Even though she was so incredibly nice, you couldn't help but blame her for 'stealing your man'.
"If you wanna talk so bad, we can talk about Jungwon" he inquired, turning the table on you.
Jungwon was like your own Rei. Except this time, he was younger than you.
"We really don't need to though" you pouted playfully.
"Oh I really think we do though" he did the same "I was so jealous of him back then" he added with a small smile.
"You were? Why?" you asked curious why The Jake Sim would be jealous of some random guy.
The street lamps illuminated his face, making him shine brighter than ever. It still didn't feel real to you. Alone in a car with your older brother's best friend turned crush.
"He was the only thing you talked about. I guess I just didn't really like that" he answered, a fabricated confidence evident in his tone.
"Did you cry?" you asked with a pout.
"Obvi" he answered with a wide smile, looking at you. "You're so pretty Y/n, I hope you know that. And Jungwon is an asshole for rejecting such a gorgeous girl"
You believed he only said that to make you feel better about yourself, but it still made your insides swarm with butterflies.
He had looked at you differently that day. Not different in a 'you really need to let me go' way, but a 'i wish we were something more' way. His demeanor had changed for everyday going forward, and you would lie if you said you didn't like it.
***
"Why did Heeseung call me to ask if I'm hanging out with you?" Yunjin asked over the phone.
She called you just minutes after Jake dropped you off home.
"He wanted to check if I didn’t go hook up with some random guy probably" you answered, thanking god for such an intelligent best-friend that knew when to cover for you.
"Well, were you hooking up with some random guy? Oh my god, please tell me it was Ricky, that senior" she asked “Or Song Eunseok! He’s so fucking sexy, to be honest”
Yunjin had some odd obsession with Shen Ricky and Son Eunseok, seniors at your high-school. She loved finding people that she could treat as celebrities.
"I wish. Jake just wanted to hang out, and I guess I didn't feel like telling him the truth" you answered, painting your nails a dark red color.
"Did you two kiss?" Yunjin asked excitedly.
She was the only one that knew about your feelings for Jake. She was pretty awful at keeping secrets but this is something she swore she'd take to the grave with her, unless you two didn't work out.
"God no Yunjin, we didn't kiss. We just talked and got some food, nothing special" you answered chuckling.
If only she knew how much you actually wanted to kiss him. His lips, so plump and soft, begging to be kissed.
"If you ask me, I'd tell you to make a move on him," Yunjin said, voice calm.
"I know, you've already told me that a million times. But you know he's going away, and even if somehow he did want me, it wouldn't work out with him being so far away" you honestly didn't believe in long distance relationships. How could one fully trust their significant other knowing he's thousands of miles away from you?
"If anyone could make it work, it would be you two. But I don't want to pressure you into anything, just saying" she replied and you could feel the honesty in her tone.
***
On the 8th of June, Sunghoon decided that the group needs to start preparing for Hanbin's birthday party and execute the second point of your shared bucket list. He's the only one that didn't mind getting sloshed on a random Thursday.
"Do I really have to sit in the trunk?" Sunghoon asked, examining Jay's dirty trunk.
"Count the seats in this car, and you'll have your answer" Jay replied, stuffing the blankets into the trunk "I'm even making it more comfortable for you"
"Wow, thanks so much" Sunghoon mumbled, and with an angry expression got into the trunk.
"You look like an idiot in there" Jake said walking out of his house with a various arrangement of everyone's favorite snacks "And I'm pretty sure that's illegal"
"It's illegal only if they catch you" you said and covered Sunghoon with a thin white blanket.
"That makes it so much less obvious" Jake laughed and got into the backseat of Jay's car "How's my baby doing in the back there?" he asked, turning around to take a look at Sunghoon.
"Shut the fuck up" Sunghoon mumbled from under his blanket, and sticked out his middle finger.
"I'm calling shotgun, Heeseung" Yunjin glared at the purple haired boy, and quickly sat on her reserved seat.
"Are you really making me sit next to thing one and thing two over there" Heeseung asked his hand resting on the hood of the car in front of Yunjin.
Yunjin just shrugged and connected her phone to the aux. Thank god she was the dj for this trip cause you wouldn't physically and mentally be able to handle two hours listening to 'Heeseung's handpicked UK drill mix'.
Unlike others you liked the middle seat. It felt the closest to everyone in the car with great access to the beautiful view in front of the windshield.
"If only Heeseung wasn't next to you" Jake whispered, as you sat down next to him. You smiled and playfully nudged his shoulder.
"I can hear you" you heard Sunghoon's annoying voice behind you. You could also hear him playing the watermelon game. Sunghoon's screen time was for the most part that stupid game he wasn't even good at anyway.
"First we have to hit up my good friend Yeonjun at the gas station. Please call me James Blunderbuss for now, I really need to get in the role" Jay announced as everyone already got comfortable in their designated seats.
"No ones calling you that," Heeseung declared. 'James Blunderbuss' couldn't even get past your lips if you tried to. "Plus Yeonjun goes to our school you fucking dumbass"
***
The dazzling, hot sun sets on your skin, a soft wind blows in your face as Jay opens up a bottle of beer for everyone. The cold glass cools you down.
Something about this landscape and the surroundings was so refreshing and inviting. You've been here before, but this felt like a first.
"Drink up fast Heeseung, we're playing spin the bottle" Sunghoon declares and takes a long sip of his beer.
"You're a freak if you want me to kiss my own sister," Heeseung said with disgust in his voice.
"Then you're not playing. More chances for me to kiss the beautiful ladies in front of me" Sunghoon beamed, and chugged down the rest of his bottle.
"Can you sit or something for like one minute?" Jake asked, glaring at Sunghoon.
Sunghoon rolled his eyes playfully and turned to Jay next with a pleading look in his eyes.
"You fucking champ, chugged that bottle down like a pro. Good thing it was your last one for the next hour" Jay pouted, and continued scrolling through his playlist.
"First y'all make me sit in the trunk, and now I can't even drink some beer in peace" Sunghoon grumbles, and lays down on the soft material of his blanket.
"You going for a swim?" Jake turns to you, voice low.
He didn't know what was happening to him. Ever since the realization hit him that this is your last summer together, he wanted to spend everyday with you. Even if you were to sit in complete silence, it's the fact that you're together which made his heart feel fuzzy and warm.
You smiled and nodded "You want my beer Hoonie?" you asked Sunghoon who had already given up on his alcoholic dreams. His face lit up as he grabbed the bottle from you.
Jake grabbed your soft hand, and dragged you towards the glistening water.
You didn't exactly catch the moment when you fell for him. When you first saw a scrawny, Australian boy in your house, you well remember thinking he was just another one of Heeseungs dumb friends. Some things as simple as that made you question everything about your friendship with Jake.
"Is it cold?" you asked, covering your eyes with the palm of your hand. Jake had already gotten in, and you'd noticed a slight disappointment in his expression.
"A little. But I'll keep you warm if needed" he smiled and gestured for you to get in.
You took off your blouse and pants quickly striding towards his toned figure. The water was indeed freezing (which was odd taking in account the warmth of that day), but Jake didn't let you get used to the temperature change, pulling you into his embrace as soon as you got close enough to him.
"Is it that bad?" he asked with a wide smile.
"Yeah, it is," you answered, your body trying to adjust to the water's temperature.
His eyes were shining, tanned skin glowing under the sun's warm embrace. He had the brightest smile plastered on his face, and you just couldn't help but stare.
"I wish you didn't have to go away," you hummed.
"You are always welcome to come visit me in LA. Alone, with Yunjin, Heeseung, just hit me up" he replied calmly.
You wondered how he could be so unbothered by this. He was about to embark on an individual journey, all alone in a big city, yet managed to remain calm. Or did he just not want to ruin it for everyone?
"If you pay for my transport, sure" you gave him a small smile, and slowly started pulling him towards the land.
"Anything for you" he replied, and you almost start to descend in the golden hope of his words.
In a matter of 10 minutes, bottles managed to surround everyone on the sheer blanket. Jay, who was supposed to refrain from drinking, was tipsy beyond repair. Yunjin and Heeseung looked fine, Sunghoon was the problem. His alcohol tolerance was so bad that two beers managed to take him out. You wondered how he was going to survive Hanbin's long awaited birthday party.
"I guess you'll have to drive tonight my boy" Heeseung beamed, turning his head towards Jake, and patting him on his his shoulder
Jake just laid down on the blanket letting the hot ground and sun burn into his skin.
He knew these were the last moments that he'd get to spend with everyone where everything will still be normal. Yes, he'd come back, his whole family is here, but it'd just be awkward and weird next summer. Everyone would have a different life, without one another. Next time, all of you will be different people.
…
“Who knew completing this bucket list would be so tiring,” Sunghoon said, throwing himself on the couch.
It was the 13th of June. Today was the day everyone, especially Sunghoon, has been waiting for. Sung Hanbin’s 18th birthday party.
So far you’ve completed only one thing, well unless someone has actually kissed ‘20 sexy ladies’, which you highly doubted.
“Are you taking a piss, we’ve only done one thing” Jay answered angrily, looking Sunghoon up and down “Well unless Jake has finally kissed Y/n” he added with a slight laugh, looking over at you and Jake.
Jake just rolled his eyes, and stuck his middle finger right into Jay’s face.
“Can we seriously not talk about them, they’re disgusting,” Heeseung pleaded, hating the sudden romantic interest between you and Jake. He didn’t really take it seriously though.
It seemed like everyone noticed something you two didn’t. Even though you’ve liked Jake for a while, you were fine with the fact that he would never reciprocate. But maybe you’ve just gotten so used to it, you couldn’t see through his actions.
“Hanbin asked if we’re pulling up today,” Yunjin announced.
“Why the fuck is my brother, my boy, my bae texting you and not me” Sunghoon suddenly rose from his comfortable position on the couch.
“It’s because they’re fucking on the low” Heeseung answered, completely unbothered, scrolling through Youtube shorts on his phone.
You knew very well that Hanbin and Yunjin have been talking for some time now, and to be completely honest, you thought everyone knew. But at the end of the day, you couldn’t really expect much from Sunghoon.
“That’s bullshit, he prefers pretty girls” Sunghoon said smiling widely at Yunjin
“Oh isn’t someone just so jealous I stole their boyfriend?” she answered, frowning sarcastically.
Sunghoon just rolled his eyes and returned to his previous position. Yunjin laughed and since no one disagreed, she replied to Hanbin with a quick confirmation.
“I can drive if y'all don't have a ride” Jake said, sitting next to you on the edge of the couch. Deep down he hoped Yunjin hadn’t already offered you a ride.
“No thanks, I am not sitting in the trunk again” Sunghoon said, reminiscing on the back pain he had to endure after the lake trip.
“As if I wanted to take you anyway” Jake replied, and turned his head towards you “What about you?” he asked, giving you a small smile.
“Yunjin is already driving me. But you can come with us if no one needs a ride” you smiled, and he was about to say yes until an annoying voice filled the room.
“My boy, who’s gonna go with you if not me?” Heeseung said, crushing Jake’s dreams in a second.
Even though it wouldn’t be the two of you alone, the mere thought of watching you get ready, and walking into Hanbin’s house with you like you're all his, made him excited. His mind was making up the wildest scenarios, and he would lie if he said he didn’t like it. Something inside him has changed, and Jake had a seemingly hard time figuring it out yet.
“Yeah sure” he nodded towards Heeseung, who was happy to score yet another free ride with Jake.
….
“So what, are you gonna finally talk to Ricky or Eunseok, or is your precious little crush on Jakey holding you back again?” Yunjin asked, as the two were getting ready in your bathroom.
You loved the girl but her nagging was like a punishment from the devil himself. She’s been begging you to ask out Shen Ricky or Song Eunseok ever since they just slightly smiled at you, or asked for your help. You never took any of those things seriously, but she seemed to see the situation differently.
“Yunjin honey, they are not interested in me. Plus, isn’t Eunseok dating Kazuha?” you asked, trying to turn the attention away from you knowing Yunjin loves gossip more than anything else, and she probably knew all about their breakup.
“They broke up two weeks ago. She cheated on him or something” she answered “So he’s single and ready for you” she added with a cheeky smile.
‘Yeah sure, sure. Well, I’m still waiting for Jake so it’s going to be a no” you responded, hoping she’d just let go of the whole Ricky Eunseok thing.
“Y/n you’ve been waiting for him way too long. I think it’s time to move on, literally so many cuter boys have asked you out and you’ve turned them all down. I don’t want to say you’ve been missing out, but you kinda have been.”
“I know, Yunjin. But something just tells me it’s not over yet. If he doesn’t ask me out this summer I promise I’ll hit up Eunseok, or Ricky, or Anton, whoever you want” you answered, another attempt to just end the topic all together.
“God, not Anton. Isn’t he like a Con Artist or something?”
….
As the long road came to an end, you had yourself double checking the address, cause no way in hell Sung Hanbin lived in an apartment complex so luxurious. Everything about it, from the bodyguard standing still in front of the large metal gates, or the tall, perfectly clean windows.
“You sure this it?” you asked Yunjin. It was stupid, she’s probably been here more than anyone else in the past month.
“Nah, I just drove all the way out here for fun” she chuckled, and unbuckled her seatbelt, stopping the car.
Another car had just pulled up next to you, the radio turned up to a max, music spilling from it. You shook your head, expecting it to be Jake and the rest of your friends.
“Wonbinnie!” Yunjin screamed, racing towards the black vehicle.
Yunjin wasn’t the type of girl to commit to any relationships. She liked a quick hookup, or the feeling of having more than one boy pinning for her. In some way you envied her confidence and mindset.
“Y/n!” you turned to see Eunseok’s gorgeous face yelling out to you. You smiled and quickly made your way towards him.
You couldn’t lie and say you didn’t like Eunseok just a little bit. He was such a sweet and caring person. Sometimes you wished he wasn’t so nice and handsome at the same time. He gave you a short side hug, and a pretty smile.
“How have you been? I heard you and Kazuha are through” you asked, hoping it wasn’t too early for those type of questions.
You waved at Seunghan and Anton who were stood behind him.
“Yeah, honestly I don’t really care” he laughed, and you could see it was genuine. You guessed they weren’t that serious after all “I see your date has left you already” he said, looking around the parking lot.
You turned around to see that Yunjin, along with Wonbin, was completely gone.
“Yeah, cause your fuckass friend took her. Doesn’t he know her and birthday boy have a thing going on?” you asked, pulling him towards the gates.
“Everyone knows,” Seunghan inquired, walking right behind you.
To be honest, you didn’t really know Hanbin. He was practically a stranger to you, never getting to really interact with him outside of school. Knowing Sunghoon and Jake, two of his best friends, made you feel at least a little closer to him.
“Yoo, look who showed up” Hanbin cheered, holding a red solo cup in his hand, greeting Eunseok with the other “I hoped your annoying asses wouldn’t pull up” he laughed, his tone laced with alcohol.
They just laughed and handed him a bottle of whiskey, you assumed that was their idea of a good gift.
“Happy to finally meet you, Y/n” Hanbin smiled at you, and put his hands up, signaling you to hug him, since his hands were already full. “I thought you’d come with Jake. Kinda surprised to see you pull up with these weirdos” you two laughed, and you let go of him, handing him yet another gift bag.
“Aren’t they here already?” you asked, looking around his place.
“Nah, Sunghoon probably did some stupid shit already, and they’re running late again” you fully believed that was the reason, a flood of odd memories with Sunghoon coming back to you.
“Yall can help yourself to anything, it’s all in the kitchen” Hanbin motioned all of you to the kitchen, a wide variety of beverages waiting to be digested.
You decided to text the group chat, a little concerned as to where they all went. All you got in reply was a picture of Sunghoon sitting on the toilet, face red.
“I’ll go look for Yunjin, see you guys around’ you turned to Eunseok, Seunghan and Anton smiling.
“Y/n! Before you go, Jay told me you’d be interested in a fake ID, you know, for a pretty girl like you I can make it 30$. Just hit me up” he smiled, pulling out his own counterfeit document.
‘Nicholas Flubbernoodle’
“Mhm, sure. I’ll text you” you smiled and left them in the kitchen. What was wrong with him, seriously.
The dining room wasn’t so crowded, only a couple people keeping a conversation going while sipping on some liquor. Guess this was their escape from the lively living room.
“Have you seen Yunjin anywhere?” you questioned the black haired boy who sat opposite from you.
“She was just here, I think,” Gunwook answered, not-so-helpfully “You want some?” he asked, pulling out a half empty bottle of Vodka.
“Sure” you answered, tired from searching for the only person you fully knew here.
“You’re with Jake, right? Yall cute or whatever” Gunwook said pouring you a cup of Vodka with cranberry juice.
“Nah” you said taking a large sip “Not yet though” you added.
“Damn you like him and shit? He don’t wanna ask you out though, huh?” he questioned.
You laughed. It was such a simple concept yet Gunwook was finding it so hard to understand. Yet it did make your heart beat faster when he initially thought you and Jake were dating. You looked over at the already empty cup next to you on the wooden table.
“The king is finally here” a faint voice you knew very well screamed into the crowd next door.
Sunghoon finally beat death in your house's bathroom, it seemed.
“You finally came!” you beamed as Jake’s pretty face appeared in the door frame.
You pat down the stool next to you, and he happily sat down placing his cup next to yours.
“I’ll leave you guys at it” Gunwook said, standing up from his seat, pulling the boy next to him with him “Good luck, Y/n” he added and left the room.
“What the fuck did that mean” Jake asked as his eyes followed the two boys out of the room.
“He’s drunk, that’s all” you smiled “Half an hour late, not cute Jake” you added quickly.
He laughed and pulled out his phone. With a few swift clicks he showed you a video of Sunghoon begging for mercy on the toilet. By the way he’s screaming you’d think he was getting brutally tortured.
“We gave him spicy noodles with a shit ton of lactose,” Jake laughed.
“Isn’t he like intolerant” you laughed, replaying the video one more time. “He’s never gonna live this down” you added and handed the phone back to Jake.
You spotted the juice and vodka Gunwook had left behind “You want some” you said pointing your head towards the bottles.
Jake nodded and chugged down his drink to make space for something else. You reached over for the bottles, and poured it in his empty cup.
“This is nice,” he said after taking a sip. The alcohol burned his throat a little bit, but he’s gotten used to it by now.
“Well no duh. Made by a girl like me, so obviously it’s nice” you smiled and poured yourself another cup.
“A hot girl, right?” he slurred, and looked at you “You look so good in that dress”
“You bought it for me after all” you smiled, trying to contain yourself from doing something you’d regret.
“And you’re letting other guys see you like this? Should’ve kept it for me and only me” he moved closer to you.
You knew it wasn't the alcohol making him act like this. He’s only had two drinks after all.
“And why would I do that, mmh?” you asked, with a sly smile, riling him up just a tiny bit more.
“Cause you're mine, yeah? All of this is mine” his eyes scanned you.
You felt his breath down your neck, and that’s when the self restraint you had flew out the window, as you pressed your delicate lips against his plump ones. Your heart heaves uneasily as you give into his soft touch, hands pressed against your hips, as he pulls you closer to his chest.
The kiss was lustfull, full of built up feelings that’ve been stored up in your hearts for ages. His lips were like a magnet; just when you thought it was over they pulled you back in for more. He tasted like vodka and cherry chapstick, and you just couldn’t resist him.
“Fuck, no one can make you feel this good. Only me, remember that” he said breathlessly, holding you up against his chest. “Don’t tell anyone about this, yeah? It can be our little secret” he said, planting kisses down your neck.
“Mmh” you answered out of breath, your nails digging into his back.
“I guess another point of the bucket list completed for me” Jake muttered.
“Vivienne Wooblegooble, what do you- What the fuck” Anton beamed, walking into the dining room.
…
It’s been two weeks since Hanbin’s birthday party. And you kept your promise. Apart from Anton who desperately wanted to sell you a fake ID, nobody knew. You were good at keeping promises and secrets.
It didn't quite hit you when it happened. Maybe because some part deep inside you expected it to happen. Or maybe because you subconsciously we're preparing for that moment to finally come. No matter what it was, you didn't care. You could finally enjoy having Jake all to yourself.
You found it fun, the fact no one knew. Your brother, Lee Heeseung, had a head of bricks, not even budging when he caught Jake leaving your room, alone, in the middle of the night. He just dapped him up, and asked if he wanted to play Fifa.
But everyday you were getting closer to the start of the school year. That meant that not only everyone would leave, but most importantly, Jake was going to leave.
“My boys, we gotta go hunting. Twenty sexy ladies won’t kiss themselves” Heeseung announced as all of you, alongside Hanbin and Anton, gathered to watch movies at your house.
“This is exactly why you have never seen a woman naked” Yunjin commented, and once again averted her attention to the TV.
“That’s lame as fuck. I’m not doing it” Jake said, focused on the movie playing in front of him.
“Can someone tell me what’s gotten into him suddenly” Jay asked, a weird look on his face as he turned to Jake.
Jake tried to laugh it off, hoping he can just make up a stupid excuse to not go ‘hunting’, but Jay persisted. It wasn’t the first time, since Hanbin's party, that Jake has been making up excuses to not go hang out with different girls.
“I’m just trying to look for something serious. Plus I’m tired of hoeing around, Jay” Jake answered, and to be completely honest, it was the worst excuse you’ve ever heard.
“Well you’re no fun” Heeseung said, picking up his keys “Boys, we have a mission to complete. Without his horse looking ass” he added, pointing to Jake.
“Hanbin, you not coming?” Sunghoon asked, but quickly noticed Yunjins grasp on the boy's arm, “Oh, I see, you’ve become a kiss ass just like Jake” he laughed and took a zoned out Anton with him. Hanbin just muttered a quick ‘fuck off’, and continued to entertain your bestfriend.
You heard the door shut, with that, loud screams coming from outside.
“We’ll leave you guys alone maybe, no one’s coming anytime soon, so do whatever you want” you smiled at Hanbin and Yunjin, leaving to go upstairs with Jake.
The staircase creaked under your feet, as you quickly pulled Jake to your room. You knew that your friends downstairs would easily entertain themselves alone. He smiled as you pulled him inside, he drew you closer to his body, heat radiating off him.
“I’m impressed, they’re gonna flame you later for that, you know?” you said, sitting down on his lap, as he placed himself on the edge of your bed.
“I really don’t care. All I need is this” he gave you a sly smile, eyeing you down.
You smiled, and hugged him tightly, enjoying every second you got to spend with Sim Jake. Maybe this was gonna end up just like any other summer fling, but that didn’t matter. You had him now, and you weren’t gonna waste that.
“God, I wish I told you earlier, maybe we’d have more time together” he said, his hands wandering on your back, as he tried to close any room between your bodies.
“We don’t have to worry about that now” you said, removing yourself from the crook of his neck to look at him “You just have to promise to call me everyday. And visit whenever you can, okay?” you asked, and he happily nodded his head.
…
Keeping secrets from your brother was fun. You’d do it all the time. Seeing his reaction when he did actually find out, was the funniest thing ever. Although real, he'd have the wackiest reaction ever, expression close to the ones in fake 3am youtuber pranks calls.
But this time it was different.
Heeseung had come home early from soccer practice, you didn’t even hear him come in. He had wanted to surprise you with some sweet treats, knowing you were sick. But he had been welcomed with an even better surprise.
Jake wanted to cheer you up knowing you weren’t feeling your best, and since no one was home, you invited him over. Heeseung wasn’t supposed to be home until late.
So that’s when for the first time in your life, your brother had sat you down to have a serious talk.
“How long has this been going on? Ever since you met him? How could I be so stupid to not notice? Oh my fucking god Y/n, why didn’t you tell me?” he asked thousands of questions at once, and you didn’t even know which one to answer first.
“Heeseung stop freaking out. It’s only been a couple of weeks” you said, not even being able to look at him. You didn’t want to see an expression of disappointment on your brother's face, all because of you.
“And I’m guessing no one knows?” he asked, and to your surprise his tone was calm.
“Anton does, he caught us while trying to sell me a fake ID” you answered, as stupid as it sounded, you had to keep a serious face on.
“That fucking wackass scammer. What name did he come up with for you?” Heeseung asked, and that’s when you finally had the confidence to look up at him.
“Vanessa? Or Vivenne Wooblegooble. Something like that” you laughed slightly, and so did he.
“God can’t he just come up with something normal for once. Mine was Ethan Flapdoodle, but he wanted me to pay 100$ for that shit” he laughed, and turned his whole body towards you “Look Y/n, I’m not one to decide what you do, you know? But I just hoped you’d tell me about something like this” he added, and gave you a small smile.
“I know Hee, I’m sorry. I should’ve told you” you said.
“Don’t be sorry. Jake is like for real, my best friend. Like you know, brother from another mother and shit. So I’m glad it’s him and not that knob Eunseok or something. Seunghan told me ya’ll we’re up to something” he voiced with a chuckle “I’m happy it’s Jake actually, he’s a really good fucking dude. Like for real, and you know that too”
You smiled at his answer, and for the first time in a while, hugged your brother. He was surprised but hugged you back, tighter than ever.
“How long have you liked him?” he asked, his voice muffled by the material of your sweatshirt.
“Like four years” you answered, and he quickly pulled out of the hug, and that idiotic expression decorated his face.
“Damn you’re loyal as fuck” he said, shocked.
“Now tell me what’s wrong with Eunseok” you questioned, since all the signs so far pointed to Song Eunseok being a good match for anyone.
“Yunjin probably told you that Kazuha cheated on him, right? Yeah that’s bullshit, Kazuha called him since he couldn’t find his phone, and saw herself saved as ‘Girl 4’. Turns out he had like 8 of them” he answered “And then that dumb fuck had the audacity to brag about it to us, saying some shit along the lines of ‘Oh I guess I gotta go find a replacement for Girl number 4’” he added, with a horrendous impression of Eunseok.
You felt bad for believing the fabricated story everyone had passed on about Kazuha, making a mental note to tell Yunjin about the truth later.
“Anyways, here’s some medicine and your favourite snacks, I hope you feel better so my little sister can smooch Jake again soon” he said, getting up from your bed. “Not thrilled to find out this way, but I’m happy for you two. I’m not gonna tell everyone else though, you should do it yourself” he said with a slight smile, stepping out of the room.
That’s how your dumb brother found out. And honestly, it couldn’t have gone any better.
…
The summer had gone by in a blink of an eye. The memories you made were going to stay with you forever.
You had eventually told everyone about you and Jake, and it shocked you to see that no one was really that surprised. Well expect Yunjin who stalled you on a phone call for three hours to ask you millions of questions. It was nice to know someone cared. And it was nice to know that people you treated like siblings supported you more than anyone.
You had finished the bucket list a week before school started again, a week before everyone had to move out.
Jake had already sent out most of his stuff to his new roommate in Los Angeles, leaving a couple things behind for you.
Sunghoon and Jay had moved out a little earlier than you thought they would. The first time you had visited them in their new apartment, you were surprised by how ugly it was. But finding out Sunghoon picked it cleared everything up for you.
Heeseung decided to stay home, since it made no sense for him to move out. You could lie and say you hated it, but in all honesty you were happy. At the end of the day he was your older brother. Your older brother who you loved more than you’d like to admit.
Yunjin’s idea, Secret Santa, was probably the best thing on that bucket list.
When you opened the box to find a jar of gherkins and used up lotion, you knew who picked the paper with your name. You had picked Jay, gifting him a Paris Saint-Germain jersey and a gift card.
The blanket fort sleepover at Yunjin’s house turned out to be a disaster. No one could fall asleep in the neatly built fort, because Sunghoon’s snoring problem had everyone up till 6AM begging for it to stop.
The bonfire Seunghan had hosted was also a shining memorie that you knew you’d look back on until next summer. You didn’t expect to get close with so many new people this season, but you guess the distance that was about to separate you actually brought all of you closer.
Anton had begged you then to purchase the fake document since he had already made it, and you didn’t have the heart to say no to him,  the pleading look on his face pulling you into his scam gig. Guess this was his trick to get everyone involved in his illegal business.
You spent the last week hanging out, having deep talks (which was honestly extremely rare), and looking back at old photos from past summers. It was sweet, seeing everyone so grown up.
“Look at your uglyass outfit. You loved that shirt so much” you pointed out.
You played with Jake’s hair as he lied down in between your thighs. It had grown a lot, and you honestly liked it more than you thought you would.
“There is quite literally nothing wrong with it. All the ladies loved it” he protested, chuckling.
It was horrendous.
“Whatever you say. I’m just glad you stopped wearing these tacky tie dye t-shirts” you said, scrolling through the album again.
“Look at Yunjin! You called me ugly, but she looks like a virgin loser in this one” he called out and you slapped his arm for even having the audacity to offend your best friend like that.
“At least someone had a glow up” you answered, and scrolled once again.
“But you liked me. Even with the tie dye minion shirt” he smiled, and turned over to look at you.
“And I still like you. But a little less without the minion shirts” you replied, a smile on your face.
“So do you like them or nah? Cause I think I still have them” he questioned with a curious expression on his face.
“If you like it then I like it too, I guess” you answered, and he moved up a little to be at level with your face.
“Then I like you. More than anything else in this world. Even more than the minion t-shirt” he said, honesty lacing his tone, a pretty smile decorating his face.
You grabbed his face, and placed a sweet kiss on his forehead.
“Remember what you promised me?” you asked, as he lied back down, still facing you.
“Enlighten me once again, please?” he said, nervous you wouldn’t like the fact that he forgot. But you just laughed.
“You promised to call me everyday. And visit, anytime you could” you told him once again, and he smiled, the memory coming back to him.
“You got it baby”
And so he did. He called every day. He visited anytime he could. He was there every time you needed him. Cause he was yours. He was your Jake Sim, and that summer was yours truly.

You eventually decided to forget your body for now and leave it to Norm to take care of it. All you were focusing on was burying yourself further into work.
Which included going back to tending to your garden by planting and replanting a few seeds and veggies. Then there was checking up on the baby who was bound to be due soon, you’d spend the last few hours of the day with her until eventually, you forced yourself to sleep in the Avatar Compound.
That was your schedule throughout the next couple of days. Along with that, you took on more work to distract yourself such as restocking more link shacks and taking care of the land along with the other avatars. It was one of the many deals the humans made with the People in exchange for letting them stay instead of going into exile. It kept you busy whenever you didn’t need to tend to your garden. Any free time that you happened to have would’ve been filled up with something else to keep you busy.
The only peace you got was at the end of the day when you were in the tank room.
“I’m sorry I’ve been gone, little one.” You said to her the first night you returned to Hell’s Gate. “I was unfortunately a bit distracted. But now I’m here and I’m never leaving you that long again. That is, until you’re born of course.”
There was a subtle shift in the stomach, bringing you a slight sense of comfort that she still remembered your voice. You didn’t know why it was comforting though. You wouldn’t be the one to hold her in the end. You probably wouldn’t be able to see her much once she was with her rightful parents…
Stop—stop.
Then there was foraging.
You enjoyed wandering around the forest to both discover new things and become well acquainted with the familiar routes. Going to your mother’s grave, finding the shack you had been trapped in, and even venturing further out just to see what was out there. Things you’ve missed.
It would’ve been nice if there was some comfort to all of it. But it made you forget. Made you think less. That was enough for now.
Until you eventually had to return to the clan’s base for Mo’at’s checkups. And not wanting to anger the Tsahik, you went anyway despite your reservations about it. All you could do was pray you didn’t run into Jake during the short visit.
So when you saw Tsu’tey with his brother inside her hut, you were strangely relieved which quickly made your stomach churn at the very thought.
His brother, Arvok, noticed you first as Mo’at was working on his abdomen. Surprisingly, he offered a white yet tired smile your way, “Ah, my savior the dreamwalker! I thought I was dreaming before.”
He ended up sitting up a bit as he spoke but Mo’at forced him to lie back down, “Hold still.”
“No need to thank me. It was nothing.” You mumbled, face impenetrably impassive.
“Nothing?! I heard you died because you saved me. How is that nothing?” Arvok sat up a little again only for his head to be forced back down by an irritated Tsahik.
You tried not to acknowledge the younger male’s words. Tsu’tey watched you for a beat before nudging Arvok’s shoulder gently, “Mawey, tsmukan.”
Not bothering to try and understand what he had said, you muttered again, this time sternly, “As I said, it was nothing—frankly, you should be more worried about yourself and the person who stabbed you.” Finding the new topic, you quickly steered the conversation in that direction. “By the way, who injured you in the first place—”
“That is none of your concern,” Tsu’tey said simply with his face somewhat screwed into his usual scowl.
You nodded expectantly, “Yeah, I thought so.”
Arvok then nudged his arm, hissing at him in  Na’vi. Tsu’tey didn’t appear happy but spoke again, “It is clan business. Something that you should not concern yourself with. You have been too involved enough as it is.”
“Ha!” Mo’at huffed earning a glare from the Olo’eyktan. She did not offer more and continued tending to Arvok.
“Well,” You frowned, clenching and unclenching your hands. By then you realized you were still standing while the other three were much closer to the ground. “I did get poisoned by this clan business but you’re right. I suppose it is none of my concern.”
At this, Mo’at finally stood and scowled at the two of you—more specifically Tsu’tey, “If this is how your interactions will be during this time, then I must ask you to leave and come back when you are ready to speak with her correctly.” She gestured for Arvok to sit up—albeit slowly—and dismissed him, “You must continue resting. It will be a long while before you can hunt again.”
“Yes, Tsahik.” With a grumble, Arvok slowly pushed to his feet, the wince clear on his youthful features. But he looked better. Better than you had expected someone to have been stabbed to look. Then again, Mo’at must’ve been working on him while you had been unconscious—dead—so he had time to get better.
He held his abdomen gingerly as he walked past you, sending you a quick nod before he finally left. “You!” At that, your attention turned back to Mo’at who was now pointing at the spot Arvok had been, “Sit. Now.”
Obediently you sunk to the floor and allowed Mo’at to start her work on you. Tsu’tey surprisingly didn’t leave and just lingered in the background much to your dismay. But your body wasn’t tense because of his presence. You were constantly glaring at the doorway, waiting for him to show up at that point, waiting with your guard up, waiting for yet another fight with that damned asshole.
“You shouldn’t be putting so much strain on this arm. You should be resting as well, let yourself get adjusted to your new body.” Mo’at instructed sternly as she applied new green mush to your arm.
You winced, both at the subtle sting in your arm and the easy way she mentioned your transference. As if it was another day. You couldn’t tell whether that pissed you off or made you quite relieved that at least someone was making a huge deal out of it. You’d already cried everything out of your system. Now you just wanted to allow yourself to feel numb.
Just until everything came back up again. If it ever would.
In the corner of your eye, Tsu’tey shifted onto the mat further behind you.
Mo’at pressed her hand against your arm, “Have you buried your former body yet?”
You chewed on the inside of your cheek, “Why are you asking me that now?”
“Some questions will be hard to answer. It is the way of life.” She replied easily as she began unwrapping the bandage on your shoulder. “But it is okay to not be ready. Are you not read, dreamwalker?”
“Sure.” It was all you offered.
You left the body to Norm now. You made him swear not to tell you where he planned on putting it. And you were okay with that.
You were fine—you were fine—you were fine—
Eventually, after enduring a long silence—which you were quite comfortable with—Mo’at finished and stood. You moved to get up as well but she pressed her hand down on your shoulder and shook her head, “You speak with Olo’eyktan first. Then you leave.”
With that, she stepped out of the hut and you, after great reluctance, looked over your shoulder at Tsu’tey to find him slightly sitting hunched over on the ground, playing with something in his fingers.
You weren’t going to speak first. He wanted to speak with you. You would wait for him.
And eventually he did, “When Mo’at brought up the potential—that you could be our fourth mate—what did you think?”
The question startled you. It was the last thing you ever thought he’d ask. And the fact that it was Tsu’tey himself asking you this and not Neytiri or hell, even Jake.
But you remained on guard anyway, “Do you care?”
At that, he raised his gaze from whatever was in his hands to look at you, “Many people have made their opinions known about the matter. All but you. It’s as if your voice is drowned out by an unforgiving storm. I am asking you, dreamwalker. What do you think of it?”
For a moment you considered your words carefully. The conversation wasn’t adversary so you lowered your defense, only by a little bit. And as you thought about your answer, you realized you hadn’t even had the chance to think about what you truly thought about the idea of being their fourth mate. Neytiri had mentioned them looking for one long ago but you never imagined it would be you. You never imagined—
You never imagined you’d be loved.
And because of that, it was simply never in the cards for you. Even if there were moments where you—
“Why does it matter anyway?” You glared down at your fingers, watching as your nails dug into your palms. “Can you honestly imagine us as mates? I mean have you thought about it yourself? Can you even imagine Jake and I as mates? After the other night? Tsu’tey, I think the answer’s pretty clear.” You faced him, jaw tight and your voice quiet despite your steeled spine, “I’m too broken. And it would be cruel—I am not cruel and I’m not selfish enough to allow you three to drag yourselves to the bottom because of me. And that’s what I think. It’s quite simple actually—”
“To your human mind, yes.” Tsu’tey shook his head and stood, turning his back to you. He paced for a moment, eyes searching the room until he finally spoke. “But it is about duty. If Eywa has favored you then I must do my job as Olo’eyktan and honor that. If you are our fourth—”
“You don’t know that.”
“You are right, I do not!” He hissed but stopped, almost as if he were restraining himself.
You clenched your hands together again, glaring down at the matted floor. For a moment, the two of you were silent. This had to be the longest conversation you and Tsu’tey had ever had. And of course, it was about something heavy, something complicated, something difficult to even comprehend. Why couldn’t it have been something simple? Why couldn’t things be simple?
“I have failed my people.”
A beat went by and you looked up, wondering if that was all he had to say only to find his gaze on you. Intense and yellow. Unreadable yet uncomfortable to receive, nonetheless.
But his face was gentle as he spoke. His voice was quieter, “And in some ways, I feel I have failed our Great Mother. I feel I have failed my mates. My son. My unborn children. My mother. My brother. My father. Perhaps you do not understand it, dreamwalker, but it is my sworn duty to do what I must for my clan. To be the leader that they deserve. And I am not.” He stepped forward until he was standing in front of you and dropped something into your hands.
It was pretty. A handwoven string of beads and gems, almost too gorgeous to belong to someone like you. You held it limply in your hands, not wanting to touch it any further.
“I am not a good mate.” He continued, now his face unreadable. You weren’t really sure what yours looked like at the moment but you hoped it didn’t convey what you felt at the moment as he spoke.
Utter dread. Shock. And pity.
“If I had proposed to you, I would have thought that I had done right by the Great Mother.”
He said it so simply. Proposed? Tsu’tey? To you? How come he didn’t appear affected when he said these words? Why was it you that was struck frozen by this revelation?
Perhaps he was good at hiding it. Perhaps you were too.
Tsu’tey knelt in front of you and looked down at the string, his face still a mask. “I would take care of you, just as I do with my other mates. I would treat your children as my own, I would be okay with not being in love with you for the sake of duty.” Unconsciously, your fingers wrapped around the string as you took in his words. Very deliberate, very careful, very real. “But you would have said no. And I would be okay with that too. Because I cannot commit to my duty. Because I am a bad Olo’eyktan. And…” The words seemed difficult to spill out from his mouth but he forced it out anyway. “And I am not cruel enough either, dreamwalker.”
For a moment, you did not say a thing. For a moment, you wondered if you were dreaming. For a moment, you wondered if there could be a world where you and Tsu’tey weren’t hostile to each other like now. You wondered if there could be a world where you’d look at him as something more.
Because in the end, you appreciated his honesty. Frankly, that was one of the best things you liked about the Na’vi. They weren’t like humans. They didn’t hold anything back because they didn’t see a reason to.
And it made your next words clear and firm, “Your search for worthiness isn’t on me, Tsu’tey. And a proposal definitely wouldn’t have been able to fix that.” You frowned and glanced down at the string and then back at him, “That wasn’t a proposal, right?”
Tsu’tey stood then, his tail swishing behind him. “I suppose it was. In a way.” He looked at you expectantly, “And your answer, dreamwalker?”
He held a look that told you he already knew your answer. You stood as well and handed him back the beaded string with yet another impassive mask, “No. That is my answer. But you knew that.”
Wordlessly, he took the beads back, his gaze never leaving it. You stood there for a moment, feeling exhausted once more. And again, Tsu’tey allowed himself to appear the same.
Too tired for this world. Too tired to carry on.
You steeled yourself away and stood straighter, “So you agree. This isn’t what Eywa wanted.”
At that, his ears twitched, “We do not know what she wants. It has always been that way. And it will remain so.”
Nodding, you moved past him and toward the entrance, only to stop short. Your brain was muddled, your emotions were tangled, and yet you spoke clearly. “If your deity is as great as you all say she is, then I’m sure she wouldn’t want you to suffer.”
Without waiting for a response, you left. Not daring to look back. Not daring to ponder questions you’ve never thought about until now.
Enough. Enough of all of it.
Tumblr media
“Any day now.” You mumbled, staring bleakly down at the table as Norm was checking the ultrasound. It was weird being several inches taller than him now when in human form he had quite the height over you, “We just have to watch her closely now.”
Norm nodded, “Good, good. That’s great news. I’ll let the parents know. You good staying here for a bit?”
“Always.” You watched over the tank as Norm left the room. Tucking the tablet under your arm, you placed your hand against the class, “Can’t wait to meet you, finally. I wonder if you’re gonna be as quiet when you’re born.”
The silence was suffocating, and So were the tears. They had finally come.
God, you were so angry.
Was this really all you were worth? An obligation? Something so worthless that you needed empty protection? Was that all they saw in you? Was that all you’ll ever be to them?
You sank into a nearby chair, allowing the silent tears to fall.
It wasn’t what you wanted. You didn’t want to be the outsider—the intruder. All you wanted was to save a bunch of trees and now you’re here. A stain. An inconvenience. Blood red on a perfect white canvas.
This baby girl didn’t deserve someone as shattered as you. She deserved the loving parents that claimed her from the beginning. Protected and kept away from your storm.
“I hope this world doesn’t hurt you, little one.” You wiped at your eyes, beaten and bruised already.
Norm eventually came back moments later. You hadn’t gotten up from the chair. He saw your dried tears and cleared his throat, “Jake said he’s already on his way, um,” He appeared careful and gentle as he spoke, “I’ll take over if you need a break.”
“You don’t have to.” Was your attempt at a protest.
But he shook his head adamantly, “No, I will. You’ve—it’s been pretty rough for you. It’s the least I can do for…”
You frowned as he avoided your gaze.
“I could’ve done better—more to save you—”
“Spellman, you're fine,” You shook your head and stood. “I don’t blame you—couldn’t if I wanted to. You’re the only one that has my back here. Well, maybe besides Neytiri.”
“Are you going then?” He asked as you walked passed him.
“Yeah, I’m gonna try to cool off. Maybe go on a walk.”
“You sure? Don’t get another chunk of your skin bitten off again. Or poisoned.”
“Ha-ha.” You responded dryly.
Deciding you wanted fresh air, you left out of Hell’s Gate and went into the forest.
You had marked the places you passed with small white strips in the past, tying them to smaller branches. It allowed you to venture further away from the base this time. And by the time the sun began to set, you found yourself at the waterfall, the same one you were at with Tsu’tey before.
And you stayed there. This time you went toward the waterfalls’ mist surrounding you the closer you got to the waterfall itself. The water moved up toward your waist until you were practically floating above water.
For a while, you stayed like this. Until night came. You stayed like this until your hair stuck to the back of your neck.
Eventually, you passed through the waterfall. Breathing out a long and delicate sigh.
These waters relaxed you. These waters made you forget.
Once you reached the other side of the waterfall, there was a rock large enough for you to hoist yourself on. And sit there. You didn’t know how long you’d stay there and you didn’t care. The world outside of this place didn’t matter to you. For a while, you just wanted to forget. To become stone.
Half alive and half buried in the ground.
That is until the world called for you to come back. Until the world wrapped its grip on you and yanked you back into reality.
Until something whizzed past your face, cutting some of the strands from your unbraided hair.
And now across from you was a spear lodged into the stone. Whoever had thrown it had great strength. Whoever had thrown had meant to kill you.
Instantly, you froze. Heart pounding against your chest, blood rushing to your ears.
“Demon!” AN unfamiliar voice shouted further away—possibly on land away from the waterfall. Quickly, you lowered yourself on the rock. Most of the water from the mountain and mist hid you, so there was a chance that the attacker couldn’t see you. “Come out and I kill you!”
You didn’t move from the rock. From what little you could hear, the voice spoke in Na’vi as if he was giving orders to someone. Which meant this guy wasn’t alone. The many splashes coming toward you only confirmed that.
As quietly as possible, you slid off the rock and toward the spear, yanking it out of the wall with what little strength you had left. A shadow then passed you as you ducked behind the rock just as a figure stepped through the waterfall. He was wearing strange armor and his war paint was different from what you had seen the Omatikaya wear. Which also told you that these warriors that surrounded you were from a different clan. A clan you were sure that weren’t reluctant in having to kill the likes of you for being human.
The warrior had an arrow pointed and ready. Fortunately, he hadn’t seen you yet.
But before you could take your chance at escape, a quicker shadow to the right dived through the falls, aiming another spear at you.
It was so quick, you hadn’t heard the other warrior coming and barely dodged the sharp end of her spear as you slid off the rock and into the deep waters.
The spear didn’t slow and sunk into the water with you. You swam away from the two, going deeper underwater until you weren’t able to be spotted. You continued swimming away from the small enclave and made it to the other side of the waterfalls.
Praying that the mist continued to cover you up, you came up for air and climbed onto a nearby rock. You still had the discarded spear and gripped it in your hands as you hopped onto another rock—not even stopping when you heard a bunch more splashes and shouts in Na’vi coming toward you.
Once you were sure they were far enough away from you, you continued hopping on the rocks until you finally reached land. But you didn’t run, knowing that it would make too much noise. Instead, you clutched the spear to your chest and slinked into the forest, just as how Neytiri had done it when the two of you would travel through the forest together.
Be one with the forest and all that shit.
God, you couldn’t catch one break. First Jake, then Tsu’tey, and now this? It was like the universe hated you for some reason.
As quickly and as quietly as possible, you put some distance between you and the waterfall. When you got far enough, you ducked behind a thick tree, pressing your back against it while taking in shaky breaths. You kept the spear close to your chest as if it were a shield while praying that you had been quiet enough to escape.
Something sharp pressed against the side of your neck, instantly squashing any hope you had left.
“You are loud, demon.” She spoke in Na’vi. It was one of the only sentences you recognized since Neytiri used to say it to you all the time in the beginning.
You remained still, staring at the warrior in the corner of your eye.
She took the spear from your hands and tossed it to the ground, not lowering hers.
“Where is your clan, sawtute?”
Okay, she spoke a little English. Which meant this clan had lived around humans at some point,.
“I don’t have a clan.” You gritted out shakily, “And I’m not trespassing—”
“Demon! All of you!” She hissed, the tip pressing further into your skin. “I kill you and bring your head back to my clan. The rest of you demons will follow!”
You glanced toward the spear on the ground, trying to figure out how fast you’d have to move to get it and escape.
But you nor the warrior didn’t get a chance to do anything as an arrow flew through the trees and hit the warrior in her shoulder.
She stumbled back, you took the chance and grabbed the spear from the ground.
As the warrior fell to her knees, your savior stood further away behind her. Bow raised with another arrow pointed at her.
You breathed out shakily, “It’s you.”

➪the one where jake gets a day off while on deployment, and he meets a cute girl in a french café who refuses to start anything with him because of the distance, but little do you know, in a couple months, you and jake would be a lot closer than you thought.

When Jake and the rest of his squadron were allowed to leave the aircraft carrier for the day, he was beyond thrilled to get out of the small bunk he shared with the one of the most boring people he’s ever met.
Derrick Howard, aka Mustang, was the least charismatic person Jake had ever talked to in his life, and the guy couldn’t hold a conversion to save his life. Two weeks of bunking with that guy, and Jake was nearly desperate for actual real human interaction, instead of the robotic nature of his talks with Mustang.
When the carrier docked in France, Jake slipped on the nicest outfit he brought, which wasn’t that nice, but he didn’t think he’d get to be anywhere but that carrier for the next two months, so he worked with what he had. Jeans and a grey Henley.
He pulled on his jacket to really pull together the bland look, then he was following after the rest of the aviators as they flooded the dock. One by one, each pilot wandered off either on their own or with someone else, and soon enough it was just Jake and Derrick. “Hey,” he said, looking at Jake with a bored expression. “Wanna see if we can find a bakery? I’m dying for some actual food and decent coffee.”
Jake held back a cringe as he debated on whether or not he wanted to spend his day off with boring fucking Derrick, or if he wanted to brave France on his own.
Before he could decide that though, a girl walked by both of them, and fuck were you stunning. The sundress you wore fell to your mid-thigh, and the baby blue fabric was probably the prettiest thing he had ever seen, other than the girl wearing it.
Jake watched as you smiled at both him and Derrick before turning and walking into a small coffee shop near the dock. Instead of rejecting his bunkmate, Jake quickly nodded and slapped Mustang on the shoulder as he followed after you. “Yeah, man, let’s go into this one,”
Inside the shop, you were standing by the display case, your lip caught between your teeth as you looked over the various options. You were leaning over a bit, giving Jake the perfect view of your thighs as you stepped closer to the glass enclosure that held all sorts of pastries and treats.
You clearly hadn’t noticed that Jake had come in after you, and he had no idea if Derrick followed after him, but he didn’t care as he watched you stand up straight. Just as you turned towards the barista, he stepped forward, and that’s when you bumped into each other.
“Shoot, sorry,” you laughed quietly, bracing yourself by grabbing onto his arms as he reached out to steady you. Your face flushed with what Jake guessed was embarrassment as you looked up at him, then your expression softened and a brief flicker of realization crossed your features. Yeah, he was the guy you smiled at thirty seconds ago, the same one who followed you in here after one look because you were far too captivating to him. “Hi.”
Even your voice was pretty, though it definitely didn’t sound like French was your first language. Maybe you were visiting or on a vacation here, either way, Jake already found himself liking France a whole lot more than that fucking carrier.
Jake’s grip on your elbows loosened once he made sure you were stable, then he dropped his arms back to his sides, though a bit hesitantly. “Hi,” he said back, smiling down at you, “Don’t worry about it. I’m Jake.”
He held out his hand to you as you returned his smile, holding eye contact with him before he began to feel a bit awkward that you had not taken his hand yet. Before he could pull it away, you quickly looked down at it with an embarrassed laugh. “Oh, sorry,” you apologize a second time as you take his hand and give it a soft shake. “I’m Y/n.”
Jake laughs and lets go of you before leaning against the counter beside the case. “It’s nice to meet you,”
Your smile grows a bit as you look over at him. “You too,” you say back, stepping more to the side so you weren’t blocking the line. “You’re not from here, are you?”
Jake furrows his brows as he nods with a grin. “What gave it away?”
“Well, you don’t sound like you’re from around here,” you say with a teasing grin, and Jake really fucking hoped that Mustang wasn’t somewhere nearby waiting for him. Only a few sentences in, and already you held a conversation better than that guy. “But then again, some just don’t.”
Jake smiles and nods. “Yeah, no, you’re right. I’m definitely not from here. I’m on deployment right now and was given a day off. Figured there were worse places to explore than France,” he joked and you laughed quietly.
“That’s true,” you confirm before your expression turns curious. “Deployment? You’re in the military?”
Jake glanced around at the small shop for a few seconds before he answered, “Yes,”
“You fly planes?” You ask a follow up question, “Sorry, my bad. Jets?”
He let out a quiet laugh before nodding once. “Yes, ma’am,” he said again and grinned at the faint blush that took over your face. He did a quick look at your left ring finger and found it bare of any jewelry, and his grin grew as he decided to change the subject. “Are you here alone or meeting someone?”
“I’m here by myself. I try to switch up my palate from time to time and try the coffee from other places,” you replied and he hummed before he began looking over the menu of drinks he couldn’t read.
“Tell me, Y/n, what do you do for fun when you’re not trying all the coffee shops in France?”
You shrug as you look back at the case of pastries. “Oh, you know…this and that,” you start before looking back at him. “I’ve been trying to get as much exploring in as I can. I’m moving in a few weeks since I got a new job. You’d never guess, but I’m really good behind a bar.” You gestured down to your dress and Jake laughed as his brows lifted in surprise.
“Well, looks like there’s more to you than meets the eye,” he hums. “A bartender, huh? I can see it, actually. Good at holding a conversation, easy on the eyes, a damn pretty smile. You seem to meet all the requirements. I have no choice but to believe you can make pretty good drinks.”
The smile you gave him at that proved his words right, and you quickly looked away as your face flushed once again.
After a few seconds of a comfortable silence, Jake clears his throat and inches slightly closer to you, hoping that his next words aren’t too forward or too soon, but he also didn’t really care. “You know, I’m here for the whole day. I don’t have to be back until late,” he began, waiting until you looked back at him and met his eye again before continuing, “You’d be saving me a really boring night with my bunkmate if you were to let me take you out to dinner later.”
Your smile falters a bit as you reach up to play with the strap of your purse. “Something tells me that you’re not used to hearing the word ‘no’,” you say with a quiet laugh before giving him a guilty look. “I really hope you don’t take this the wrong way…you’re one of the nicest looking men I’ve ever seen, and you seem sweet enough, but you won’t be here tomorrow. I mean, I won’t even be here soon, I’ll be on my own in San Diego. I’ll probably never see you again after today.”
Even though this sounded close to a rejection, Jake was too focused on the fact that you just told him that you’re moving to San Diego. Where he lived. Still, he didn’t want to mention that yet. “Oh, I get it,” he nodded before trying his best to hold back a smirk as he added, “You’re seeing someone.”
You huff out a laugh of surprise before shaking your head. “I’m not, I swear,” you quickly clarify before he could tell you that he was just joking. “I really want to go out to dinner with you, but I’m going to try and save myself the heartbreak of falling for a guy in the military. Especially since we don’t live anywhere near each other.”
Not yet, he wanted to say, but instead he murmured, “Fair point,”
You gave him a small smile, and you looked so guilty, but then he further processed your words.
“San Diego?” He questioned, briefly remembering the time where he overheard Penny mentioning to Maverick that she was hiring someone to help her manage the bar, and he didn’t want to believe that his luck was that good, but he still added, “I’ve been there a few times. What bar are you gonna work at?”
You moved around him and placed your coffee order, and Jake also placed his and quickly paid both yours and his drinks. “Thanks,” you laughed, and that pretty pink tint was back on your face. “Um, well, you might’ve been there since you’re in the military. It’s a place called The Hard Deck. Apparently it’s a hotspot for every military personnel or something.”
Jake’s mouth turned upwards as he stepped off to the side with you as the barista got started on his and your order. “The Hard Deck?” He echoed, “Never heard of it.”
“Oh,” you hummed, leaning back against the wall as you looked up at him, “Well, there you go.”
His smirk grew a bit as he looked back around the shop, his eyes latching onto Mustang, who was still standing outside and looking as lost as ever. Jake almost wanted to laugh at the poor guy. “Listen, I really want to go out to dinner with you too, and though I’m not going to pressure you or anything, I also want to learn more about you,” he says and looks back down at you. “So, if you’re willing to have dinner with me, I think we could have a fun and carefree time together. No expectations, no pressure, just two people sitting at a table together before we’re forced to go our separate ways and get back to reality.”
Your brows furrowed as you squint your eyes, and Jake knew he got you. “Okay,” you gave in just as your order was called. Jake reached over and grabbed both cups, holding yours out to you as he lifted a brow.
“Okay?”
You took your coffee from him and nodded. “Okay,” you said again before sipping on the hot drink. “We can go out to dinner. I know a good place, it’s not far from here, actually. It’s called Fran’s.”
“Great,” Jake grinned, following after you as you walked towards the exit. “Wanna meet there for seven?”
You turned to him and nodded again, “Sure. Thanks for the coffee,” you murmured, giving him one last smile before walking past him. “See you later, fly guy.”
Jake watched as you walked down the busy street and disappeared in the swarm of people, and he really hoped you were actually planning on showing up tonight. Fuck, what if you didn’t? Should he have asked for your number?
Before he could get too lost in his head, Mustang came up next to him. “Dude, what the hell? You completely ditched me,”
“I said we should go in there,” Jake scoffed and nodded towards the small shop he was just in with you as he sipped on his coffee. “It’s not my fault you didn’t follow me. You should go check it out, the coffee’s more than decent.” He lightly slapped Derrick’s shoulder before turning away from him and wandering into the crowd as well.
-
At six forty five, Jake was already at the restaurant you chose, and then he realized that he doesn’t speak French, and he had no idea how to ask for a table.
So he just leaned against the bricked exterior of the restaurant and waited for you. He didn’t have anything formal to wear other than his dress whites, so he was currently wearing dark jeans, the jacket he had on earlier and a dress shirt he stole from Mustang. If there was one thing that guy was good for, it was the fact that he brought an outfit for every occasion for some reason. And thankfully he was the same size as Jake.
Not long after, his eyes met yours as quickly walked towards him on the sidewalk, a smile painted on your red lips. “You’re early,” you observe as soon as you’re standing next to him.
“So are you,” he said back as he looked down at your black dress. It was pretty and you looked stunning in it, and suddenly he was feeling underdressed. “You look gorgeous.”
You grinned up at him as he guided you towards the doors of the restaurant. “Thanks. You look great, too,” you said as he held the door open for you.
He watched as you effortlessly spoke French to the hostess, and he shouldn’t have found that so attractive, but here he is, then he was being led through the restaurant.
Once you were sitting at a table, Jake was having a hard time reading any of the options on the menu, and he glanced over at you. “So, you’re fluent in French?” He asked as you looked over your own menu.
“Kind of,” you laughed, setting it down after a few more seconds. “I moved here when I was a kid, and I picked up the language pretty fast. I’m from Virginia, originally.”
“Oh, yeah,” he nodded, giving up on the menu completely. Thank fuck it had pictures, because Jake was fully prepared to just point at what he wanted instead of trying to pronounce it. “I know a guy who spent some time there.”
“Yeah, it’s great,” you hummed, sipping on the wine you ordered for both you and Jake. “I miss it.”
Jake leans back in his chair, his eyes never leaving yours as he asks, “Are you excited about moving to good old San Diego?”
You nodded with a grin, resting your chin on your hand. “Yeah, I think the change will be good for me. I’ve been here most of my life, but twenty three years in the same place can get kind of bland, you know?”
“Yeah, I get it,” he agreed, reaching for his wine glass. “I have a good friend in San Diego. I’m sure he’d be happy to show you around and help you out if you ever need it. His name’s Bradley Bradshaw, it’s fucking dumb, I know.”
You laughed and covered your mouth as the waitress came over again. “Yeah, that’d be great,” you said before placing your order. Jake ended up doing exactly what he knew he would and embarrassingly pointed at a picture on the menu, but you laughed again, so it was worth it.
“Hey, maybe I’ll see you in San Diego sometime,” he said once the waitress walked away.
“Yeah?” You beamed, “You visit your friend a lot?”
“Something like that,” he smirked.
“Sorry, I’m sorry. Where are you from?” You asked, and you sounded a bit embarrassed, as if you couldn’t believe you hadn’t asked him that yet.
Jake waved you off and sat up again. “Texas,” he answered simply then immediately changed the subject, because all he really wanted to do was learn more about you. And maybe he wanted to keep it a secret that he didn’t spend too much money visiting Bradley since he lived a few blocks down from the guy. “So, have you always wanted to be a bartender? Or is that just like a hobby?”
You thankfully didn’t bring the conversation back to where he lived after that, and after an hour of sitting at that table with you, Jake felt like he could spend another five in that exact spot. You were so easy to talk to, and you were beautiful and so his type. And you were single. And so was he. And you were moving to San Diego, the same place he’d return to in a couple months. It was almost too perfect.
Outside the restaurant, Jake was about to come up with a way to spend a little bit longer with you when you turned to face him. “Do you want to sit by the water with me?” You asked, “I don’t really want this to end yet.”
Jake smiled before clearing his throat and nodding. “Yeah, I do,” he answered, then looked down at your bare arms. “It might be a little cold, though. You sure you don’t want to sit somewhere warmer?”
You waved him off with a scoff. “Please, this is nothing,”
Soon after that, you and Jake were sitting side by side on a bench by the dock, and you were failing to hide the way your body shivered in the cool night air. “See,” he laughed, shrugging off his jacket. “I told you that you’d be cold.”
You rolled your eyes as he draped the jacket on your shoulders. “Yeah, yeah,” you mumbled, giving him a grateful look before glancing over at the water. “Maybe I just wanted to wait here with you and send you off when the time comes.”
Jake felt a warmth take over his body at that, and he looked over at the massive aircraft carrier too.
“You have to live in that for, what, two more months?” You questioned as you pulled his jacket tighter around your body, and Jake felt a sudden need to protect you as he took in the way the fabric covered your entire top half.
“Yeah,” he answered, sighing at the thought of going back to his bunk tonight. “It’s not so bad. Gets me out of my house.”
You nod and bite down on your lip as you look back at him. “Thank you for tonight,” you said quietly, “It was…fun, and I really liked talking to you.”
Jake smiled down at you, letting you inch a bit closer to him. “I really liked talking to you too,” he mumbled, forgetting about everything else around him as you captured his full attention.
A few minutes passed before you spoke again, and this time your voice was even quieter. “You’ll be careful, right? When you go back and…do whatever it is that you do,”
“Yeah,” Jake rasped, and you were now nearly pressed against his body. “I’ll be careful. I always am.”
You nodded and looked up at him with your pretty eyes, and Jake couldn’t stop the way his head dipped down a bit. Your gaze drifted lower to his lips, and then you were leaning up and pressing a soft kiss to his mouth. It was definitely the most gentle kiss Jake had ever participated in, but it felt right. You weren’t some girl he was chatting up at The Hard Deck, nor were you one of the tag chaser’s he’d indulged with in the past.
You were the sweet and beautiful girl he happened to meet on the one and only day off he had on deployment, and that made you special.
After a few seconds, you pulled away with a sheepish smile on your face. “Thought you wanted to save yourself a heartbreak by not falling for a guy in the military,” he whispered, and your smile grew.
“It’s okay,” you mumbled, “Just be gentle about it.”
Jake wanted nothing more than to kiss you again, but he saw a few of the other aviators beginning to make their way back to the ramp that led onto the carrier, and he sighed. “I’ll be gentle about it,” he promised, reaching up to gently stroke your jaw. “I have to go.”
Your smile faded a bit as you nodded and began taking off his jacket, but he stopped you,
“Keep it,” he said, stepping away from you. “Give it back to me the next time you see me.”
Your brows furrowed and you watched as he began walking towards the ramp as well. “What if we never see each other again?” You called out after him.
Jake turned to face you, still walking towards the edge of the dock. “Then at least you have something to remember me by,” he grinned and you returned it, and that was the last thing he saw before he got back on the carrier.
-
Two months later, Jake was back in San Diego, and he tossed his bag into the back of Bradley’s Bronco before hopping in the passenger seat. “Thanks for picking me up,” he said as the dock began fading into the distance.
“No problem,” Bradley mumbled as he began driving the familiar route to the best bar in town. “You sure you don’t want me to stop by your place first? I think Y/n will appreciate you more once you’re freshly showered.”
Jake smiled and shook his head. “Fuck off, I showered this morning,” he grunted before his expression softened. “How’s she doing?”
Bradley glanced over at him with a smirk. “She’s fine,” he answered. “She received quite a warm welcome on her first night at work by all the guys.”
A pang of jealousy shot through Jake’s body at that, and he sat up a bit straighter. “I believe it,”
Bradley laughed as the bar came into view. “Don’t worry, she hasn’t looked at most of them twice since then. You’re the only one on her mind for some reason,” he muttered and Jake rolled his eyes. “And before you ask, yes, she still has no clue that you live here. And that you go to The Hard Deck nearly every fucking night.”
Jake’s smile was back as he reached over and bumped Bradley’s shoulder with his hand. “Thanks, man,”
And thank fuck for email, because the night Jake met you, he emailed Bradley and told him that you were moving there in a few weeks and would be working at The Hard Deck. He mentioned that he may or may not already be falling in love with you, and asked the Bird Man to look out for you and help you adjust to the new change. He also said to not mention the fact that Jake would be back there soon enough so that he could keep this whole secret going, and thankfully Bradley was more than willing to do all of that since Jake literally saved both him and Maverick during the last mission.
“Yeah, but since I helped out you and your little French girlfriend, we’re even now, okay?” The brunet grunted as he pulled up in front of the popular bar.
“Yeah, we’re even,” Jake agreed, nodding for Bradley to go in first so Jake could hide behind him. Bradley was a bit broader than Jake, not by much, but enough for the blond to be hidden for a good few seconds if he trailed close enough behind him.
Once the two men walked through the doors, Bradley made a beeline to the bar, and Jake quickly followed after him. When the slightly bigger man ordered his beer, Jake was finally allowed to hear your sweet voice again after two months, and you sounded exactly like how he remembered.
“Anything else?” You asked as you reached for the drink, and Bradley nodded.
“Yeah, actually,” he answered, stepping aside and slapping Jake rather harshly on the shoulder to help get him out of the daze he was starting to feel stuck in.
Jake cleared his throat, refusing to embarrass himself in front of the girl he hadn’t stopped thinking about since the day he met her. “Make it two,” he said once he found his voice, and he gave you a small smirk when you quickly turned to look at him with wide eyes.
Your brows lifted as a big, beautiful smile took over your face. “What are you doing here?” You breathed, nearly dropping Bradley’s beer as you quickly set it down on the surface of the bar.
Jake’s smirk turned into a genuine smile as he saw his jacket draped over a stool behind the bar, then he was looking back at you. “I live here,” he answered as if it was the easiest question he’d ever been asked.
Your brows furrowed and you let out a quiet laugh. “You said you lived in-”
“No,  I said I was from Texas,” he corrected and was rewarded with another pretty smile from you.
He was grateful when Bradley read the room and reached for his beer, mumbling, “Just put this on his tab,” before giving Jake another encouraging slap as he walked over to Nat.
Once Jake was alone with you at the bar, he placed his hands on the surface and leaned over, and thankfully you leaned in as well. His eyes searched yours for a few seconds, seeing a mix of emotions in your pretty irises; surprise, happiness, relief. “Thanks for taking care of my jacket,” he teased quietly and you laughed before a look of realization crossed over your face.
“Have you been planning this for the last two months?”
Jake shrugged. “I told you I’d be gentle about it,” he murmured, then you were leaning all the way in and grabbing onto his shoulders. He met you halfway, and then you were sharing your second kiss that felt just as right as the first one.

SEVEN ROYALTIES
“once upon a time there was a promised couple, that time made them realize that sometimes, promises can be broken” — yang jungwon
Tumblr media
yang jungwon x fem!reader genre: childhood friends to lovers , promised to marry , fluff , angst ! warnings: mentions of food , pregnancy i think , maybe curse words (do lmk if i missed something!!) || NOT PROOFREAD !!
WORD-COUNT ; 5.5k+
NOTE. WOW!!!! can you believe how much time it took me to write this? i had an intense writer block and didnt know where to continue, lets not forget about my basically hiatus bc of school and etc.. im SO terribly sorry for taking too long, y’all clearly don’t deserve that!! also, riki’s parts are kind of mentioned? not so sure…
Tumblr media
“ready?”
“i’ve never been ready-ier”
“that’s not even a word!”
“and who are you to decide?”
“stop fighting will you? it happens every time, unbelievable”
“y/n, jungwon, stop bickering, everyone’s waiting for you”
you took a deep breath and jungwon held your hand.
as you entered the big hall all you could’ve heard for claps and cheers.
“happy birthday!” they all said in harmony.
that’s right, you and jungwon celebrate your birthday together, as you were born at the same day within a few hours difference, he was born first.
it probably had something to do with your mothers being best friends.
the queens of other kingdoms being inseparable just shows everyone that you don’t have to be in rivalry to win a happy life.
when your mother announced her pregnancy, jungwon’s mother cried out of joy, saying that she too, is pregnant.
it was even more exciting to see both of the queens celebrate everything that has to do with their pregnancy together.
birthday celebrations has never been as big as your birthday, mostly because of the over excitement your mothers both felt and still feel.
as soon as they revealed the genders, it was like a sign for them, and even before you were born, you were promised to each other.
“y/n, meet jungwon” your mother used her sweetest voice as she introduced jungwon to you. you were one day old and the queens already made sure you know each other, even though you probably won’t remember it.
“you do realize they won’t remember it in five minutes too, right?” your father tried to bring her back to earth but she was already gone in cloud 9.
growing up was quite interesting you’d say.
your mom made sure to visit hybe kingdom every monday and thursday, and jungwon’s mother came to visit every tuesday and friday. it has already became a ritual for both you and jungwon.
“y/n! it’s time to go!” your mother called you while you were busy playing with jungwon.
“i have to go now, but i will see you tomorrow, right?” you asked him and he nodded.
“you already know you will”
there was nothing more touching than to see you and jungwon getting along and spending time together, your mothers were clearly the happiest.
not only that you got along with jungwon, you got along with each of his siblings, and he definitely had bunch.
“fancy seeing you here again, y/n” heeseung came and ruffled your hair.
“it’s like we haven’t seen you for years!” jake added.
“how have you been? we missed you” jay hugged you.
“you’re always playing with jungwon but never walk up to us” sunghoon pout.
“we’re just glad to see you again” sunoo smiled widely.
“y/n can i join you two?” riki asked
they were definitely your siblings as well, and you love each and every one of them.
“find your own y/n then! don’t steal her from me” jungwon would always argue with them and scoff.
you just giggled and gave each of them a hug before going outside with jungwon.
“don’t be too harsh on them” you said and he rolled his eyes.
“they’re just trying to tease me”
“they’re your siblings, it’s like, a part of them”
he rolled his eyes once again and started running around.
as you slowly grow up with each other, you were slowly starting to develop something special towards each other.
“drawing again?” jungwon caught you in one of your castle rooms you used to paint in.
you grew a lot of habits, and one of them was drawing. you were never really confident in them, but jungwon always complimented them and even took some of them to hang in his room, he kept you motivated.
“you already know” you giggled.
growing up together for thirteen years already taught you so much about each other, you knew his strengths and his weaknesses, and he knew yours.
“can you teach me some tricks?” he asked and you looked at him confused, “i want to learn how to draw too”
you nodded and prepared a new canvas for him.
“sit here and adjust your chair so that it’ll feel comfortable enough for you, your hands needs to be a bit bent but not too much” you ordered him and he did as you said.
“usually you just start with a few….” you started teaching him the basics and guided him through it.
“before you make that line, make sure it’s angled and…” you held his wrist and fixed his posture as well, “like that!”
you failed to notice his blushing cheeks as you were too focused on teaching him, but he was too busy thinking about how close you are.
“it was fun seeing you today! i’ll see you tomorrow!” jungwon waved you goodbye as he left.
you left out a big sigh as he left, lately your mind has been occupied by so many thoughts about the future.
“is something wrong dear?” your mother, who stood next to you held your shoulders and caressed them.
“i’m just worried about something” you pout and your mother bent down a bit.
“what is it?” she asked softly.
“what if me and jungwon will no longer be together like the way we are now? what if he’ll lose interest and……”
“y/n, honey, you and jungwon are promised to each other, no matter what happens you’ll always be together”
you and jungwon basically grew up into the fact that you’re promised to each other, your families barely even mentioned it because it was so easy to understand.
“you’re right, but what if…?”
“you’re too worried about something that will probably never happen!” she joked and you nodded.
right, you’re probably overreacting.
at age sixteen, your parents signed you up for a royalty high school, where the high society teens attended. and of course they forced jungwon’s parents to sign him up too, with the excuse of ‘it’s always better to have more education!’
“ready?”
“i’ve never been ready-ier”
“that’s still not a word” jungwon signed and you just giggled.
“before we get in the class,” you spoke and extended your pinky in front of him, “promise me nothing bad is going to happen between us”
“don’t be stupid, of course nothing will happen” he locked your pinkies together and laughed.
even though he laughed it out, inside he was scared for his life. he knows high school changes people’s personalities, and he was so damn scared that something might happen between the two of you.
he doesn’t care about losing everything else in his life, as long as he never loses you.
“please welcome y/n and jungwon!” the teacher introduced you to the classroom and you heard cheers and claps.
you released your hand that was holding jungwon’s and waved at your new classmates.
jungwon looked at you, confused with your actions.
“hello, i’m y/n, please treat me well” you smiled and they all clapped and cheered again.
“y/n please sit next to leehan” leehan raised his hand.
“oh but we—“ jungwon was about to ask the teacher to let you sit together but you were to quick to move away and sit beside leehan.
“hello, i’m jungwon” he introduced himself and the class cheered.
“jungwon please sit next yunah” the teacher asked and jungwon went to sit beside minju.
he was already starting to feel like nothing good is going to come out of this.
“hey y/n! let’s sit for lunch!” jungwon called you and you nodded happily.
“i told leehan he can join us too! can you believe i actually made a new friend?” you asked and he nodded.
he was really happy to see you happy.
“is that okay?” you looked at him worriedly and he immediately smiled.
“of course! i’m excited to meet your friend!!” he genuinely smiled and started walking with you.
he was about to grab your hand and hold it but noticed you were busy holding your books.
guess your holding hands’ agreement is starting to fall.
“i know nothing about this school, we almost got lost at the entrance” you joked and leehan chuckle as jungwon was busy overthinking.
“i’ll guide you whenever you want, just tell me and i’ll be there” leehan replied and you smiled.
oh how jungwon wished the be the only one who can make you smile like that.
lunch went amazing according to you, jungwon was too deep in thoughts to notice it anyway.
“won! i won’t be going back home together with you today, leehan invited me to his place”
“hm? oh, okay” he mumbled as he saw your excited look on your face.
you were so excited to get new friends that you’ve failed to notice jungwon’s weird actions throughout the whole day.
he’s been weirdly quiet, barely even had a normal conversation with someone.
“jungwon? why aren’t you eating?” heeseung, his older brother did manage to notice his weird personality shift, jungwon would usually eat and brag about how much he enjoys his meal.
“just not feeling too hungry” the younger sighed as his six other brothers looked at him.
“something is not right” jay whispered to heeseung and he nodded.
“are you sur—“ “yeah, i’m sure” he pierced his gaze towards them and left them speechless.
he’d never get into a person’s sentence.
“okay then”
the awkwardness was very much present after that.
“so y/n tell us, how was school?” your parents asked.
“oh it was amazing! i met a new friend, his name is leehan”
“leehan from (name of kingdom)?” your mother’s eyes widened.
you nodded and smiled, “he was actually being kind and sincere!”
“oh that’s amazing! i heard he’s a very much handsome guy, how come you’ve never seen him in any celebrations we go to?”
“don’t be silly honey, she always paid attention to jungwon”
“jungwon!”
“hm?”
before you even let them finish their question, you got up from your seat, “it’s late, but i need to go to see jungwon!” you hurried outside.
“you have a visitor” those four words managed to confuse jungwon, who in their right minds would come visit him at this hour?
“yunah?” he asked as he noticed the figure that was waiting for him in his garden.
“jungwon! i had to see you, even if its so late already” she smiled and got closer to hug him but he stopped her.
“what are you doing here at this hour? couldn’t this wait until tomorrow?” he asked, he can’t remember being so close to her to the point that she’ll be showing up in his place at this hour. they just met today!
“i…i just wanted to tell you that if you need any help i’ll be here to assist you, i’m really glad to have you as my classmate” this time she hugged him before he could stop and he just froze in his place, trying to process what was happening.
while yunah was busy hugging jungwon, and he was busy being so deep in thoughts and confused, you were there to witness it all.
you wanted to ask him about his day, to tell him how much fun you had with leehan and how you couldn’t stop telling him stories about jungwon, you wanted jungwon to be included in anything that you did, and with every new friend that you got.
you didn’t even want to interrupt their so called ‘beautiful moment’. you were so confused and too tired to even understand what was happening.
so you ran away back to your place, promising to yourself that from now on, you’ll take a step back from jungwon and let him live his life freely.
so what if you’re promised to each other? sometimes people can’t keep their promises.
“jungwon”
“hm?”
“what if we grow apart one day?”
“that’ll never happen”
“but what if it will?”
“i will make sure it’ll never happ—“
“what if it will?”
“i…..i will make sure to get us back together”
“what if i’ll end up hating you?”
“y/n what kind of—“
“answer me please”
“i will continue trying to get you back to me, even if you hate me”
“what if you’ll start liking someone?”
“i’ll get back to my senses, we’re promised to each other!”
“sometimes promises can’t be kept…..”
“hm?”
“never mind….”
“now tell me, why did you ask those questions?”
“i’m just scared to lose you”
“you’ll never lose me”
thinking about this old moment between you and jungwon made you chuckle in disbelief, you were right all along.
always trust your instincts.
“hey y/n!” jungwon called you.
“hi” you answered dryly.
“is everything okay?” he asked worriedly and you hummed.
“let’s go grab ice crea—“ “can’t, going out with friends after school”
“oh…okay”
it hurt like a bitch seeing his disappointed face, but he has yunah now, she can help him feel better.
“jungwon! didn’t get to ask how was your first day at school yesterday!” leehan smiled towards jungwon who sat across him on lunch.
“it was okay”
“how is it going with you and yunah? i saw the both of you getting really close”
you almost choked on your food hearing what leehan said.
“yeah she’s a great friend”
great friend my ass.
“i’d like to see where it’s going” leehan winked and jungwon returned to eat his lunch while you rolled your eyes.
slowly but surely, the days flew by, and with each day that passed, you and jungwon became more distant.
“where’s jungwon?” leehan asked as you were about to take a bite from your lunch.
“huh? oh, i don’t know” you shrugged.
for the first time ever since you started school, jungwon didn’t sit with you for lunch.
he got some new friends to sit with, yunah was one of them.
you also, got yourself your perfect friends circle, you became basically inseparable.
both yours and his friends, were there to witness how you slowly turn into strangers, and it scared them.
all of the students in the school knew each other, as everyone always attend to the same events and see each other. it was no wonder everyone knows about you and jungwon and how strong your bond is.
while everyone was busy chatting with strangers on big events, you and jungwon made sure to stick together no matter what.
it pains almost every student to be witnessing your sudden distance and awkwardness.
“hey honey! it’s been a while since we saw jungwon, are you both okay?” your mother asked, concerned as its been months since she last saw her best friend’s son.
“yeah mom, we’re always hanging out with our shared friends”
lying is not cool y/n.
“oh! well invite him here sometimes too! i miss my son” she pout and hugged you.
you just sighed in relief and hugged her back.
“i’m changing some seats arrangements, so each two students names i say will sit together” your teacher ordered and you sighed, praying that she’ll let you stay next to leehan.
“y/n and jungwon” your worst nightmare happened.
it’s not like you were enemies, the tension was just so awkward between the two of you.
as if nothing happened between you two before.
you took your bag and sat next to jungwon without saying a word. you failed to notice his sincere look on his face, he really misses you.
“with your new seats, you’ll be also getting a new project to work on in pairs, your partner will be the one who sits next to you” okay now you’re sure universe hates you.
jungwon cleared his throat before he spoke, “let’s start working on it tomorrow, you’re free to come to my place”
my place. it used to be ‘our’ place before.
“don’t worry about missing me! i’ll see you tomorrow at your place!” younger you smiled widely at younger jungwon as you waved goodbye to him.
“it’s not only my place! it’s yours too!! from now on its ‘ours!’” he said and you nodded.
“same about my pl— our place!” you giggled.
whenever one of you would invite the other, you’d use the term ‘our’ place.
now jungwon said his place, and it suddenly felt so cold and distant.
you slowly nodded and walked away.
jungwon watched you as you stepped away, he wanted to add more, he wanted to tell you he misses seeing you at his place but failed, something was stopping him from doing so.
“y/n dear it’s been a while since we saw you! i feel like i’ve seen yunah here lately more than you!” jungwon’s mother welcomed you with open hands, “better keep up the competition” she teased and winked, knowing no matter what, you and jungwon will end up together anyway.
it wasn’t the same for you though.
“he’s in his painting room, only god knows how he’s the only one who managed to keep his habit” she’s referring to your old habit of drawing. if it wasn’t you who taught him your few tricks he probably would’ve find interest in something else, but something in painting just drew him to it.
you on the other hand stopped with your little habit, choosing a new one to entertain you.
you knocked softly on the door, and you heard a loud thud sound, “is everything okay?” you asked.
“yeah….” you heard a faint voice and relaxed as he opened the door.
his hair was a bit messy and curly, and you could see the paint stains on his face as he tried to wipe them off. he looks so cute.
“hey” you called, “hey” he answered.
“um, we said we’d work on the project”
“oh right, um” he sighed, “just wait in my room i’ll get cleaned up”
you nodded and instead of going to his room you roamed around.
“y/n!” you heard a voice calling you, you looked behind you and saw riki smirking at you.
“what a surprise” he said, “we haven’t seen you here lately”
“yeah, school has been really stressful, but we’re hanging out together after school with our shared friends” you lied again.
“y/n i thought we never keep lies in our family” he glared at you.
him being younger than you doesn’t change the fact that you shouldn’t be scared of him.
this troublemaker is terrifying.
“i’m sorry?”
“y/n! i’m so glad to see you” heeseung came to rescue and hugged you tightly, “we all missed you, can’t stop talking about you”
he was glaring at riki and signaling him to go away while you were busy hugging him so you didn’t even notice.
riki rolled his eyes, “um, i have some arrangements to make for my birthday, so i’ll see you around”
you nodded and continued hugging heeseung.
“how have you been?” you asked
“oh you know, dealing with one specific person”
“huh?”
“not something you should worry about”
“y/n?” jungwon came back and heeseung winked at you as he got the clue and walked away.
“i was on my way to your room when i got stopped by riki”
jungwon nodded, although both of you know very well that the place you’re in isn’t even on the way to jungwon’s room.
“so let’s part the project and each one of us will do their part instead of always working on it together” you suggested.
“i can get leehan’s help—“
“no we can work on it together”
“it’s really fine—“
“we need to work on it together so we’ll understand each other better” he raised his voice a bit and you were taken aback.
“you’re right” you mumbled and nodded.
a few hours passed since you started working on the project together, and the only words you exchanged were words about your project and nothing more than that.
you miss being with him and hanging out with him, but not like that.
“why don’t you stay for dinner y/n?” his mother asked as it was already late.
as you were busy staring at her, jungwon glanced at you, his eyes full of hope that you’d say yes, he missed this.
“i can’t today…i promised my parents i’ll eat with them today” you respectfully declined the offer as you were lying through your teeth.
your parents were on duties and you’d eat your dinner alone today, you were just too afraid that once you stay for dinner, you won’t be able to leave. you will never want to.
“alright darling, i really enjoyed seeing you, come here more! i know school is stressful but we’d really like to see you”
you gave her a hug and went away.
“oh right jungwon! you need to start getting ready to your brother’s wedding, it’s in a few days and nothing is ready yet!”
jay’s wedding is coming closer and closer, jungwon would once again will have to be introduced to other princesses, although everyone already knows who's the person he’s going to marry.
he just nodded and went back to his room.
when he entered his room, he noticed you forgot your bracelet as you put it down to be able to write better.
he sighed loudly, knowing he’d have to give it to you the other day.
you and jungwon rarely talk in school already, it’ll be very awkward to do so but he knows he has to, the chances of seeing you outside of school are low.
“here, you forgot it at my place” he mumbled as he handed you your bracelet at lunch in front of your friends.
they started whispering and gasping as you cleared your throat, “thank you” you quickly took it and put it on your hand again.
he nodded slightly and walked away back to his friends.
“what was that?” one of your friends asked.
“nothing” you mumbled and stuck a spoon in your mouth.
“oh you look so pretty! i pity all the princes you’re about to meet, they don’t know yet that you’re off the market” your mother clasped her hands and smiled.
being introduced to other royalties as creating a curiosity and maybe getting the chance of finding a partner was very common around your age, your and jungwon’s parents didn’t want to tell everyone the great news of their promised children, and chose to keep business as usual.
you nervously smiled and sighed, this is going to be a long night.
“oh y/n, you’re so pretty!” jungwon’s mother hugged you tightly and complimented you more than you could ever imagine.
“thank you” you did you curtsy and walked away after she told you to search for jungwon.
you didn’t actually search for him, you took one glass of champagne and stood next to one of those high tiny tables that were only big enough to hold your champagne cups.
“fancy seeing you here” you heard a voice really close to you and as you looked to your left you saw leehan.
“you scared me!” you playfully punched his shoulder and he giggled.
“you look very beautiful today” he said.
“so i look ugly in any other day?” you teased and he quickly shook his head.
“today is just, special”
you hummed and took a sip of your champagne.
“i’m actually surprised you noticed me in such event, usually you’d be around jungwon all night” he joked and you chuckled, “yeah”
“oh y/n we’ve been searching for you!” your parents called and you excused yourself from leehan.
“meet prince sohee from (name of kingdom)!” they introduced the prince who looked like he was younger than you by a few years.
his round eyes and soft gaze made your cheeks heat up. he was one of a kind prince and no one could deny his beauty.
“nice to meet you, i’m y/n” you did your curtsy and he kissed your hand.
you were so busy being introduced to and introducing yourself with your parents to notice someone’s eyes were on you the whole time.
before the wedding started his mother reassured him that the princes you were going to meet today meant nothing as you were promised to him, so why was he feeling so unconfident about it?
sohee’s visuals are no joke, out of all the princes here did they have to choose him?
he wanted to look away but his eyes refused to do so, so he was witnessing everything until it was over.
he wanted to leave, imagining so many scenarios about you asking to break the promise so you could marry sohee.
“jungwon! come here son!” his mother called and he knew it was his time now.
revenge time.
“meet princess yena from (name of kingdom)!” his parents introduced her as he took the back of her hand and kissed it.
he smiled widely as he introduced himself, knowing another pair of eyes might be watching him.
as you returned to leehan after the introduction, he began telling you stories about seeing you and jungwon always together.
you were too busy looking at jungwon staring deeply in yena’s eyes, as if he just saw the prettiest princess in the hall.
leehan’s words became faint as you focused only on him.
the way he looks at her, the way he treats her, they’ve only met but it feels like he knows and been in love with her for years.
tears threatened to fall from your eyes as anxiety washed all over you.
“are you okay—“ “excuse me leehan”
you bowed formally and went to one of the balconies to let it all out.
“come on! no one would find us here!” younger jungwon dragged you to the balcony as you were scared to get caught.
“it’s so boring! listening to their conversations, ‘blah blah blah’” he mocked the elderly as you laughed.
“are you sure no one is going to find us?” you asked nervously.
“y/n we always sneak out to this place and never get caught”
one of the reasons you and jungwon only had each other is because you’re always sneaking out to the balcony instead of interacting with other people.
you’d usually get some snacks and sit together in the balcony to play some games and laugh about anything until you felt like it was the right time to return.
you spent so many beautiful memories in this balcony.
thinking about these old memories made your eyes tear up even more.
you miss everything about the two of you, how did it get to the point that you’re crying in the balcony you used to laugh until your stomach hurt?
“take this” you stopped whining and looked at the hand that handed you a tissue.
you looked up to see riki.
“thank you” you took the tissue and wiped your tears.
“i better get going before i—“ “RIKI!!!!”
“it’s my cue to leave, sorry” he pat your shoulder and ran away.
your relationship with riki was complicated, this boy was scary as hell, that troublemaker did cause lots of problems to his family, but you always made sure to join his antics sometimes.
as scary as he is, he cares about you a lot, you basically raised him together with jungwon, you’re one of the few people who showed interest in him and actually played along with him.
you wondered if he’ll ever find the right one for him.
“you’re not so pretty when you cry, you know?” you looked behind you and this time you saw sunoo standing there with a smile.
“maybe i don’t want to be pretty” you mumbled and he giggled as he took a few steps closer.
“how have you been?” he asked.
“okay” you dropped your glance to your hands, one of the habits that sunoo noticed you do when you lie.
“you already know that i know that you’re lying” he replied.
“it’s complicated”
“i know”
“it really is”
“let time do it’s thing, he misses you too” sunoo rubbed your back, “i need to go now, wipe those tears away and change them into a smile”
you did as he told as he got inside the hall again.
you sighed heavily, does he really miss you?
sunoo said it probably to let you feel better about it.
you decided to walk around the place, avoiding the hall at any cost.
curiosity took over as you stood in front of his painting room, what was he doing there last time you came?
you opened the door and was welcomed by the smell of overused paint brushes and an aroma you can’t really describe.
you looked around the room and was amazed by his paintings, he really is a better painter than you.
you looked over to the canvas that was on the stand, probably an unfinished project of him.
if there’s one thing you noticed as soon as you took in all of his paintings, is that he always had a specific figure in them.
whether the figure was standing, running in the rain, sitting at a bus stop, it’s always the same one.
as you moved closely to the canva, you noticed the figure from close, the figure was playing the piano, the details about the piano were so familiar to you, and the room the figure sat in looked exactly like something you’ve already seen before.
“what do you think?” you askes jungwon as you finished playing your favorite song on the piano.
after painting you moved to studying piano, you fell in love with the sound it made when you softly pressed the keyboards, and the melody it created.
being so excited about it, a day before you started your school, you sat jungwon next to you and showed him your finished project, create a new melody.
instead of being focused on the melody, jungwon was focused on you.
you were busy pressing on the keyboards and enjoying the music it makes while jungwon was busy looking at you and observing what he sees.
god, he was so in love with you.
then it finally kicked you, the figure in the painting is actually…..
“what are you doing here?”
you turned around to see jungwon standing nervously.
“jungwon….” you whispered, “is that me in those paintings?”
“what?” he asked, cursing himself for his unstable voice.
“is that me?” you asked again, he really hoped you’d drop it.
“yes” he answered softly and sighed.
tears started streaming down your face, “i’m sorry, i’m so sorry..”
jungwon noticed your tears and moved close to wipe your tears with his thumb.
“why are you apologizing? you did nothing wrong”
you stared into his eyes and burst out into more tears, “the school, the new friends, us growing apart, and yunah that damn—“
“okay okay okay” he calmed you down and kissed your forehead before hugging you.
“i was so sure you’re angry at me” you whispered.
“angry at you? why?” he asked.
“the first day of school, it’s been a mess”
“oh, that” he chuckled, “can’t say i wasn’t angry, maybe a little? but i was more jealous”
“jealous?”
“yeah! you basically spent the whole day with leehan, what about me?” he scoffed.
as he still held your waist tightly and never broke your eye contact, you playfully punched his chest, “i wanted you to be friends with him too! at the same night i went to tell you about that and ask you about your day but—“ “you probably saw yunah….”
“yeah…”
he tucked your hair behind your ears and pecked your lips, “she means nothing to me, her hugging me meant nothing to me, she tried being a good friend and i let her do her thing because i wanted to make you jealous” he giggled, “now i realize it was a big mistake”
you pecked his lips again, catching him off guard, “big, big mistake”
“i missed you so much” he said, “missed holding you in my arms, spending days and nights with you, hearing your parents’ bragging about how big our wedding is going to be”
“i missed everything about you” you hugged him again and he hugged back.
“promise me something like this is never going to happen again” he said, “i was so scared to lose you”
“i promise, it’ll never happen, i’m yours”
“i love y—“
“there you are!! finally oh my god what took you so long!” sunghoon, jungwon’s older brother said as he found you and jungwon closer than ever to kiss.
“well? are you going to kiss?” he added.
“get out!!” both of you shout as he closed the door.
riki’s birthday party came in no time and your parents decided to announce everyone about your future wedding as well.
“we’d like to announce you that our y/n and jungwon are promised to marry each other!” your parents clapped, “when they grow more old of course!”
“who cares lets goooo!!” riki took the spotlight and raised a cup acting as if he’s drinking real alcohol.
cheers and claps were heard, some even smiled widely and wished the both of you happy future.
“hey y/n” jungwon called you and squeezed your hand that was holding his.
“hm?”
“thank you” he smiled, “for willing to spend your future with me”
“i’m yours jungwon, forever and ever”
“and i’m yours, forever and ever”
“god why so cheesy?”
“riki shut up!”

You looked at Neteyam in disbelief, lip trembling as he shielded the girl from your verbal lashings. After all the two of you had been through, he still went to protect his little side piece.
“That's okay.” You nodded. “When you're crying about the pressure of being the oldest in your family, don't call for me. When everyone turns on you don't come crying for me. You're on your own now.” You jabbed at him one last time before walking off.
Neteyam had been a close friend for a long time, but that changed after he confessed his feelings. To his luck you had been feeling the same way. Two years. The two of you were together for two years before he started his training. You understood becoming Olo’eyktan was nothing easy, but you didn't know why it meant he had to be so distant and cold. But that wasn't why. It was because of the new girl.
It was okay though, it didn't hurt as much as you thought it would. Once he began to get distant you sort of prepared yourself to break up with him, but you didn't prepare for another girl to be involved.
Days went by and you found yourself doing a lot of exhausting things to avoid the Sully’s. You probably spent more time avoiding them than actually getting work done. You believed you succeeded in doing so, but that changed one day when Jake spotted you and made a beeline towards you.
“Stop.” He noticed your figure about to sprint.
You halted in place, not daring to go against your Olo'eyktan's order.
“You haven't been around anymore.”
“Does it matter?” You snapped.
“Y/n you kno-”
“Don't come here trying to explain your cheating son's actions!” You accused him, turning and yelling at him.
“I'm not. I'm quite disappointed that he would do so.”
You fell silent and looked into his eyes. You could tell Jake was being genuine, and immediately, you felt bad for yelling at him.
“I just wanted to say you are always welcome. You don't need Neteyams chaperone to come visit.”
“Thank you sir.”
“Jake. Don't ever go back to calling me sir.” He lightly scolded.
---
You spent more time working on your crafting skills. It was a nice way to distract yourself for hours, and who wouldn't want their own custom weapons.
Jake found you carving a knife once, and laughed loudly at the wonky shape.
“I've never seen a knife like that before.”
“Shut up!” You hissed and went back to chipping at the wood.
“Here.” He pulled out a tactical knife, a metal one. “I had this when I was in the army. Still pretty useful.” He handed it to you.
“I'm not taking this Jake.”
“Who said I wanted you to keep it?” He said snarkily with a scoff. “Just look at the material for…inspiration.”
Ever since that day Jake gave you a free pass to go through his military gear. Checking out his collection of knives and machetes in order for you to replicate with wood and stone.
“This right here is a fire launcher.” He pulled out a large gun. He handed it to you and you chuckled at the weight it held. You began to hold it like a regular gun but he held his hand up.
“Hands off the trigger sweetheart. These aren't toys.”
“Well you sure as hell got them laying around like toys.”
The laughter from you two attracted the attention of Neteyam. He stood in the doorway of his fathers space, and behind him? The girl he cheated on you with. You went quiet and Jake looked up, and over at his son.
“What boy?”
“Just…wanted to see if everything was okay.” He trailed off looking at you. But you avoided his gaze.
“Everything is fine. Now go.” Jake shooed off Neteyam. He hesitated before walking towards his room with the girl.
Jake looked towards you and noticed how you had set the fire launcher back down and went back to rummaging through his items.
“Y/n…”
“No offense, but I hate your son Jake.”
He went silent before nodding. “That's okay. I can't tell you how to feel.” A few more beats of silence passed before he spoke again.
“How about I drag this box over to your place so you won't have to worry about any run ins.”
“You would do that?” You began to smile. Jake nodded, standing and packing the rest of his items into the box before closing it.
The next night Jake came and put the box in your main space. “I unloaded the ammo out of these guns. I don't want you destroying your home.”
“You think I'm that childish?”
“No, but I need to make sure you're safe.”
Your heart skipped hearing that from Jake. You looked over at him and watched how his toned arms moved to organize the box. Separating the melee objects from the automatic.
“Jake why do you keep these? You use Omaticaya weapons…mainly.”
“Ah…” He shook his head. “Still can't quite wrap my head around the fact that I'm not human anymore. It's a nice reminder of the life I loved before.”
“How long ago was that?”
“Sixteen years.”
“Damn you're old.” You giggled. Jake threw a stray bullet at your head.
“Which means you like hanging with old men.”
“Hey that's not true! I mean…most of my friends are my age. You're the lonely one.”
You watched as Jake went silent and turned his head to look back in the box
“I-i'm sorry Jake.” You shifted towards him. “I didn't mean that, you're a very important man and I'm sure you have better things to do. I truly didn't mean it in that-”
You were shut up by the feeling of his lips on yours. The kiss lingered before he pulled away.
“Learn to watch your mouth, hm?” He said in a dark tone.  You looked him up and down before jumping into his lap, pressing your lips against his again. The two of you kissed passionately, tongues fighting for dominance in each other's mouths. Jake's warm hands ran up your thighs, squeezing your ass tightly as he continued to kiss you. You whimpered into his mouth and he pulled away.
“I’m staying here tonight.” He said breathlessly.
You nodded and leaned back in to kiss him. Jake felt himself growing hard under you, groaning as he kissed your lips, moving down to your neck, and nipping at your collar bone. Jake used one hand to untie your loincloth and pull it aside, before reaching back and untying his own. His length sprang free and rested on your lower stomach.
“Jake.” You reached down and began stroking him, causing him to let out a low, guttural moan.
“Hm?”
“Is this smart?”
“I’ve made worse decisions…” He bit his lip. “But it doesn’t look like you want to stop.” He smiled, feeling how your hand never stopped pumping him.
“I was hoping you would be the rational one.”
Jake leaned in and nipped at your collarbone again before licking the sore spot. “This is me being rational. Now hold on.”
You flipped your hair to the side and placed your hands on his shoulders. Jake grabbed you from under your thighs and pulled you forward, holding you over his dick. You could tell he was gonna be a lot bigger and thicker than your previous companion.
“Jake-” You whispered, feeling his thick tip prodding at your entrance. He shushed you and placed a kiss on your cheek before lowering you down onto him. You yelped and dug your nails into his shoulders, whimpering and whining as he stretched you.
“That’s it.” He said through gritted teeth as you sucked him in.
The two of you let out breathy moans as moved you up and down along his shaft. He looked at you with a dazed look, eyes slightly narrowed as he moaned lowly in your face. You kissed him again, but he kept pulling away to graze his lips along your sensitive neck.
“Oh Jake!” You moaned out as you grinded against him. Weaving your hips back and forth on top of him as he held you still, in place. You knew you were being loud, obnoxiously loud, but you didn't care. Let the entire village hear for all you cared.
“Oh fuck. Faster! Faster!” Jake moaned out as he felt himself reaching his limit. You couldn't deny the pit that was building in your stomach either, desperately wanting to burst. You picked up your pace, placing your hands flat on the ground behind you so you could buck your hips a little more harder.
Jake let out a grunt and pulled you up, gripping your ass tightly and slowly pumping you on and off his cock. He let out a hiss and a shiver as he filled you up. You moaned out, expecting him to stop his thrusting after filling you up, but he didn't. He kept his hands on your ass and kept pumping into you painfully slow, almost as if he was fucking his seed deeper into you.
“Jake…Please!” You whined, feeling yourself become overstimulated.
“Not until you come baby.” He nipped at your ear. “Give me one, just one.”
You moaned out as he manipulated your hips to grind against him again, “Oh Jake! Yes!” You cried out. He gripped onto your hips tighter and let out a chuckle once he felt your walls flutter around him, reaching your climax.
After you finished convulsing, Jake reached his hand up to move the strands of hair from your face.  “You look so pretty.” He said quietly. You leaned in and pressed a kiss to his lips, which he hungrily accepted. Jake pulled out of you and turned around so he could lay you flat against your bed.
Without warning, he sank back into you, causing you to cry out in pleasure.
As Jake began to ravage you, rain began to patter outside, coating your home, and a sulking Neteyam, as he watched the entire scene unfold with tears in his eyes.

I’m either onto something or on something. New head cannon just dropped.
Jake and Tyler are twins.
Tumblr media
✦ More under cut ✦
✦ Growing up they both were fascinated with the sky, Jake loved the idea of flying and Tyler loved violent storms.
✦ Both graduated form University of Texas Austin, Jake has a bachelor’s in aviation science and Tyler Meteorology (after being stomped on by one too many bulls)
✦ When Tyler started doing rodeo he changed his last name to Owens since the Seresin name wasn’t really liked around their hometown. He kept his show name for his YouTube when he started it, it was easier to say than Seresin.
✦ Jake follows Tyler on all the wrangler’s social accounts, he watches the streams when he can. Him watching Tyler with a confused and astonished look when his brother shoots fireworks into the tornado like “what the hell is this shit??”
✦ They talk when they can, the two are really close and always miss each other when they’re at home, it upsets them a little but they always have phones.
✦ Tyler threatened to drive all the way to one of the bases Jake was stationed at. Jake strongly advised not to.
✦ Jake once saw Tyler’s truck from his jet when he was flying cross country (he wasn’t supposed to be flying low altitude but he got bored of watching clouds) it was like the umbrella academy driving meme. They called each other at the same time to ask if that was the other.
✦ They make fun of each other’s name/callsign.
“Hangman? That’s one of the stupidest names I have ever heard.”
“Okay, tornado wrangler.”
✦ Tyler visited family weekend once, Rooster was very confused when he turned around and Jake was in different clothes than he was two second ago. He learned then that there is in fact two Seresin boys and that Tyler is very much a sweet southern boy compared to Jake who is still very much full of himself (he’s working on it)
“You’re Rooster right? Bradley?”
“Huh? What the hell are talking about bagman?”
“Bag-? Bagman!? What the hell?! What kind of shit name is that? Did he lie to me about his name? Where is he…. Jake!”
“Tyler?! What the hell? What are you going here!”
✦ Jake has met the wranglers once, Boone asked him if he’s flown his jet into a tornado which Jake promptly answered “no, that would probably kill me.” But now he’s curious.

If reader were to be a famous person what would each Oscar Isaac character be like/act like if they knew them and what would they do? Your choice of characters of course ️
-anon
This is gonna be wild👀
OI characters with famous reader
Featuring: The moon boys, Poe Dameron, Nathan Bateman, Santiago Garcia, Miguel O'Hara, Blue Jones, Basil Stitt, William Tell.
A/n: I did Basil and Steven a bit dirty. Nsfw is only for those two.
Poe Dameron: He is probably going to be a fan of you. Goes to every planet you may have fan meetings and would ask for a picture of you.
Most likely develops a crush on you. Blushes deeply whenever you two have eye contact.
Would send BB-8 to you while watching from a far. If BB-8 brings you joy, Poe's butterflies in his stomach go wild and he feels like he's about to pass out.
Would definitely buy VIP if you offer it.
William Tell: He has his bit fame too, and therefore would apply to become your manager or personal asisstant.
During fan meetings, William has the idea of setting up a Poker table, where fans could go against him. If they win, they could get a free picture with you.
But William is hard to beat, maybe don't expect many people to actually win against him.
Santiago Garcia: Would probably like to be your bodyguard. He definitely has the experience and would exceed at it.
Would always make sure the area is safe and if you have VIP, he would actually check the bags of anyone wanting to meet you.
Most likely gets Benny, William and Frankie as bodyguards for you too. No need for basic bodyguards when you have ex militaries.
Nathan Bateman: Definitely knows about you. Would perhaps apply to be your tech guy, keeping all your devices safe and hack free.
Even likes to design and install his own security system that once triggered, he himself would appear, maybe bring along some of his androids to protect you.
Miguel O'Hara: Miguel pretty much likes you and could apply to be your personal asisstant or PR manager.
Also wouldn't shy away from bodyguard duty. And since he's having spidey senses, people could actually come to meet him too, thus will lead you to get more famous because people know you have Miguel O'Hara.
Blue Jones: Blue sees you as an opportunity for himself to get more famous.
Wants to send you an invite to come to Lennox, and do a fan meeting in his club.
Not that he doesn't like you, but Blue likes fame so he could definitely get used by having you pay a visit. Plus it may lead to more girls wanting to join him...
Basil Stitt: He knew you before his incident, he had a bit of a crush on you. But now with his scarred cheek and embarrassment of it, Basil feelings towards you grew.
It pisses him off knowing he can't meet you in person again, he isn't good at accepting rejection and thinks you will find him ugly.
Basil would continue watching every video of you he can, eating takeout pizza and jerking off after. He wishes he could see you in person again...
Jake Lockley: Jake would definitely apply to be your personal driver. He likes you and a fat paycheck here and there definitely won't hurt.
Though he wouldn't shy away of protecting you, always having his trusty gun with him.
Jake would actually offer taking pictures with him too. Your fans should know who drives the famous you around.
Marc Spector: Definitely has the skills and experience of being your bodyguard. Would walk beside you with his sunglasses and chewing on gum.
Would want nothing more than to keep you safe. Marc can definitely deal with rude fans.
Also would agree to take pictures with your fans if they wanted. Some fame or even money could never hurt him.
Steven Grant: Oh dear... Steven would be... the obsessive fan...
Always goes to your fan meetings, probably has a big crush on you. Would keep any magazine cover and pictures of you stashed in a box.
Steven would also send you fan mail. But he is smart enough to not send... substances...
He isn't that stupid like most obsessive fans would be therefore keeps jerking off in private rather than sending it to you.

Leverage timetravel, pre pilot/child ot3 meet their redemption era selves
(I took some liberties re: /meeting/) In hindsight, visiting the US Patent office was probably not their smartest move.  Never return to the scene of the crime, and all, at least not if the job was finished.
But they'd put a pin in going back for the time machine, and not even a really bad idea could deter Hardison from an actual time machine. Well. Portal, like Eliot had said.
It hadn't come with an instruction manual, but the three of them, Hardison, Parker, Eliot were professionals at figuring things out on the fly . Even lost in the past. Even scattered.
Hardison knew he just had to wait, though. They'd find each other. They'd lived through the past once, they could deal with it again, especially knowing everything they did. And it wasn't like they had to live through the whole span of years, either. They just had to find each other, put the pieces back together, scattered with them, and go home. Easier said than done--he was starting to think they might have ended up in different times--but still, the Estimated range was fifteen to twenty years, so that was only five max before they met up, right?
Hardison had gotten right to work. Ads in every major newspaper in the heartland cost plenty, but he had years of criminal practice on top of knowing what tech to invest in, so he really wasn't that worried. He guessed Eliot would be betting on sports games, like in Back to the Future. Parker... well, it was hard to guess where she was. Once he and Eliot met up, they'd have to wait for her to get to them. He did have a few things to do, first.
He knocked on Nana's door, feeling like maybe he ought to be wearing a bow tie.
"What is it? You from the county?" she asked, when she opened the door. He could see behind her a few curious faces, including his own. Damn, he'd been so tiny.
"Yes, Ma'am," he said brightly. He could remember this day, vaguely. The box he held was more familiar than his adult face. "I'm here to install your new computer."
"I didn't order any computer," Nana said. "Run your scam someplace else."
"It's not a scam!" he heard his own voice say. "I entered a contest at school."
He had. And he'd lost. Stupid Jake Puckett had won, a kid who could have easily afforded a computer. Alec hadn't known that though, until Hardison'd checked idly. And he wasn't about to just let all of history change. Well, all his own history.
"You got some proof of that?" Nana asked, and Alec went  scampering off to his room to find his copy of the essay.
Satisfied with the expertly forged documents (wow! it was much easier to forge past documents when you were in the time they were from!) Nana let him in and pointed to a corner desk near an outlet.
"You ever use your own one of these?" Hardison asked Alec, who shook his head. " just the one at school. I really won?"
"Sure did. Now, let me show you what this thing can do."
~
Eliot stood at the edge of the field, a newspaper crumpled in his hand. Hardison was in Boston, if the ad was right, and of course the ad was. No one else put that much effort into a coded message.
He watched the football fly. In two weeks, the kid throwing it would be on a bus to boot camp. He closed his eyes. There were options.  Kid wouldn't believe him, of course. There were no secrets yet, to spill as proof. And he was too stubborn to buy the warning.  A good solid tackle, though. Break his arm bad enough...
He'd thought about it. And then about the what ifs. The blood would still be spilled, he knew that. Someone else would end up on Moreau's chain. Someone else would end up with a half dug grave for Flores, and maybe keep digging it.  Everything he'd done for money, the money'd go to someone else. Job might not get done, or it might.
He'd be there for his mother's funeral. He'd miss Katherine Clive's. Rebecca Ibanez.  the way the drinking might have gone... he'd miss Nate Ford's.  He'd go to school, like his dad wanted, never play college ball. Study something-- art history, maybe -- but no, that was him now. Not him then. Him then would be angry and broken. Him then wouldn't have... his people.
He crumped the paper further. "Dammit, Hardison," he said quietly, and walked away.
~
Parker had a code. Some things, you just didn't do. Some were big and flashy and obvious. Some were smaller, quieter.
Hardison would say she shouldn't do this, she knew, and she usually listened to Hardison. He knew what he was talking about, most of the time. You can't change the past. That'd been part of the lecture before they'd gone to steal the time machine.  You can do things, sure, but you always did them.
Well, Parker hadn't done this. No one had, back the first time she'd lived through this day. But she was doing it anyways, breaking his rule and her own. You don't steal from kids who don't have anything.
Carefully, she picked the lock on the child's bicycle chain.

henloo !! can i request for a heeseung fluff where he's a famous campus crush secretly dating f!reader — you can decide the plot for this one, i just honestly went for the trope because it's been on my mind lately <33
CAMPUS SECRETS; LEE HEESEUNG
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairings. campuscrush!heeseung x shy!reader
wc. 966
warnings. one semi suggestive joke (trust me i've written wayyyy worse)
Tumblr media
i love this idea its so cute !
heeseung is loved by everyone, but he only has eyes for you...
'gorgeous just gorgeous' heeseung thought as he stared at the three girls sitting at the table across the table.
"bro, i know minjeong is hot and all, but you're staring at her like you're about to ask for her hand in marriage." jake slapped the boy. "just ask her out already." he rolled his eyes at his friend who was scarfing down a sandwhich while arguing with sunghoon over something so trivial no doubt.
but heeseung wasn't looking at minjeong, he was staring at you. the way your eyes crinkled up, and your nose scrunched when you laughed at something your friend said.
he could just burst into smiles when he that you were wearing his black sweatshirt that you stole when you came to visit his dorms, you had to sneakily make your way to his room so his roommates wouldn't see you.
he was so in love with you, and he just wanted to show you off to the world, but you were rather shy, and he didn't want his status of "campus crush" to overwhelm you, so you kept it a secret.
you were his cute secret.
"heeseung?" he snapped back into reality, looking at the girl in front of him, she looked at him with stars in her eyes, but he couldn't be intrested, you were all he thought about.
"i was wondering if you'd want to have dinner tonight? i know a really good place." she smiled "shyly", but heeseung knew she was wasn't actually shy, he knew a shy smile when he saw one— it was so cute when you'd hide your face from him when he'd tell you a flirty joke, the way you slap his arm.
"uh bro? she's talking to you, and you keep spacing out." jake nudged him, wondering what the hell was wrong with his friend. "oh uh..."
he was about to decline her offer, when he heard you voice getting closer to his table, you were walking past his table, talking with your friends. you gave him a look, a subtle look that no one would notice, he probably would've missed it, had he been caring about what the girl was saying in front of him had to say, you smiled at him.
he got up so fast, almost knocking the girl over, but she stepped back. "uh...daeyeon, i would love to, but im busy with homework tonight sorry, jake here is free though, right jake?" the australian was confused. "i guess."
"great, have a good time, i have to go talk to the professor about the assignment, i'll see you later." he took off before anyone could question him.
"the professors class is the other way though."
you stood at your locker, listening to your friends talk about something, you weren't paying attention, you were too busy day dreaming about heeseung. although you hated when girls would crowd around him, and bring him gifts and ask on dates, you loved how he only had eyes for you, and he proved it everytime.
"__? are you listening girl." minjeong voice interrupted your inner dialogue to yourself about heeseung. "i said me and yunjin are gonna head to the mall to shop, and then we're gonna get ready at yunjin's and go clubbing, you coming?" you were about to decline, when you seen heeseung turn to corner, stopping when he noticed your friends.
"uh no, i have so much homework to do, so i'm gonna head home, have fun." they nodded, they knew you weren't a outside person, so they didn't even question it. "okay, well i'll see you later back at the dorm." you nodded sending them on their way.
"this wouldn't have to happen if you'd just let us tell people." he approached you once they were gone. "we can't even tell our friends." he pouted. "i know my friends can't keep their mouths shut, and jake hasn't shut up a day in life so." he laughed, pulling into a big hug. "i missed you." he kissed the top of your head.
"we haven't been able to spend anytime together." he pulled away, hovering over you.
"yeah, that's because you've been busy being the campuses boyfriend, what time is your date with daeyeon tonight." you teased, but he frowned, he hated when you said things like that. "babyyy! don't say that, you know i turned her down." you laughed, his doe eyes making feel a bit bad. "i'm sorry, i know you did." you planted a kiss right on his cheek.
"now im sad, how will you pay for it?"
"My dorm will be empty, minjeong will probably spend the night a yunjins, how about you come over later?" you said. "yeah? and do what?" his smirk made your face heat up, turning your head away.
"s...stop t..thinking like that, just to watch movies and eat." you said, ears hot. "that's what i meant baby, what else did you think?" he teased with a smile.
"stop playing- yo heeseung, we've been looking everywhere for you." jake and sunghoon walked over to you guys, him noticing you looking down already, ready to run away already.
"i was talking to __ about the exams, she was gonna help me tonight, right?" you shook your head, looking at the ground. "s...sure."
"well thanks to you i have a unwanted date to go on, so you're helping me get ready first." heeseung rolled his eyes. "fine." he turned to you. "tonight right?" he confirmed. "yeah." "lets go." his friends dragged him away, but he turned back to you smiling, mouthing a 'i love you'before turning back around as his friends began to fight with him in the middle.
you laughed, shaking your head, closing your locker so you could head home and get everything ready for your date.

Are there any idols that have a crush on yn/view her as their ideal type?
oh there's definitely a few idols who have a crush on you or have said you were their ideal type! some of these are more of a "i have a crush but also admire her as an idol" feel to them, but i would still count them as crushes lol.
nct dream's haechan ( since 2015 ) ─── when donghyuck first met you, he didn't have any feelings, but the longer you both trained together the quicker his feelings developed. at first he just admired you especially when watching you during the monthly evaluations, but when you and the others were on the mickey mouse club together ... that boy thought he was in love. he's definitely admitted to having a crush on you and the other dreamies have clowned on his for it. donghyuck felt a little heartbroken when he found out about you and san dating ( he's not aware of you and the others ) but figured that if you were happy then he would be happy for you.
nct dream's jeno ( since 2015 ) ─── jeno's had a crush since when you were both trainees at sm. kind of similar to haechan in a sense but he always thought you were pretty. of course, his crush was just a young boy having his first crush and so he thought it would go away. and it did ... for a while until he seen you again during an award show and couldn't deny how beautiful you had gotten. he tried approaching you afterwards but stopped himself when he seen you being close with yunho and decided otherwise. since then, he's just admired you from afar along with supporting you and ateez.
aespa's winter ( since 2018 ) ─── winter has had a crush on you even before she debuted. she's always thought you were cool and one of the top idols of the 4th gen. she was extremely nervous when her and the other girls met you for the first time.
ive's wonyoung ( since 2021 ) ─── wonyoung once admited during an interview that if she was a male then you would be the idol she would want to date. she said that you always perform and carry yourself with such confidence that its really attractive and that she admires you a lot because of it.
enhypen's jake ( since 2018 ) ─── jake has had a crush on you since ateez's debut. he thought you were so pretty even while doing a very masculine choreography. he admitted to seeing you as his ideal type during a variety show and that he would love to get to meet you one day.
kep1er's chaehyun ( since 2022 ) ─── chaehyun first met you officially when you visited yeosang when they were both a mc for ' the show ' and she was so starstruck. she admired how well you carried yourself and just how lovely you were around both her and cravity's minhee. when ateez was promoting on ' the show ' fans caught her staring at you in awe when you were talking.
stray kids's hyunjin ( since 2021 ) ─── hyunjin had probably always thought you were cute along with a few other of his members, but he didn't really start developing a crush on you until kingdom. he really just admired how you were able to pick on the different choreo's so quickly along with how well you worked with everyone. he admitted after kingdom that he thought you were really cool.
seventeen's seungkwan ( since 2020 ) ─── seungkwan would rather die than admit that he finds you cute; mainly because he knows his members would never let him live it down. he didn't officially meet you until wonwoo introduced you to the group one day and seungkwan just thought you really cute. and then he went down a y/n rabbit hole and became a fan. but he would never admit it out loud.
txt's yeonjun ( since 2019 ) ─── this was before he knew you and wooyoung were dating and in his defense, he's hasn't thought about you in a romantic way since then. he does, however; still admire you as an idol and loves watching you perform, but he would never admit out loud to liking his friend's girlfriend. since meeting you ( through wooyoung ), the two of you have become friends which has made wooyoung jealous.
note : also these are just a few, if there's an idol that you really like then go ahead and add them to your personal headcanon about y/n! this is you as an idol after all 😆 don't be afraid to share your personal headcanons! i would love to hear them 💜

Season to Taste - 31/? WIP
Explicit Hangster - Celebrity Chef Bradley and Naval Aviator Jake Seresin who have a relationship spanning the globe before they realize how tightly bound they are to one another. Heading into this little world.
PROLOGUE/ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX SEVEN EIGHT NINE TEN (interlude) ELEVEN TWELVE THIRTEEN FORTEEN FIFTEEN SIXTEEN SEVENTEEN EIGHTEEN NINETEEN TWENTY (interlude) TWENTYONE TWENTYTWO TWENTYTHREE TWENTYFOUR TWENTYFIVE TWENTYSIX TWENTYSEVEN TWENTYEIGHT TWENTYNINE THIRTY
CHAPTER THIRTYONE
                “Your dad’s name isn’t Charles?”
“No. It’s like… it’s Italian actually. Giacomo. Got mangled by everyone except my grandparents obviously, so everyone just calls him Chuck.”
“Huh. Giacomo Seresin. That’s a very Italian sounding name.”
“Did you think I was learning Italian just for you?” Jake asks, smirking and licking his lips and Bradley flushes.
                “I mean…”
“I figured it wouldn’t be a bad thing to learn about my heritage and culture. But you were also a consideration. Just incase we ever crossed paths again.”
“Just in case. Lucky me I guess.”
                “Mmm. Yeah.”
…            …            …
He knows it’s only a matter of time before he gets the call. The episode aired three weeks ago now and he’s starting to feel a little worried about Ice’s mentality acuity. Maybe he’s just waiting, making Bradley sweat. He wouldn’t put it past him, has thought about what he’s going to say, thought more about why he hasn’t told him. Talked about it with Silvia, dealt with her scolding tone as she talked about family. Okay.
He’ll be ready when Ice calls.
…            …            …
“Fuck. We just need to get directions. Is everyone being deliberately obtuse because they think we’re tourists?”
Jake would argue that right now that’s exactly what they are, but he also has an idea. Leo is probably awake right now, paying attention to the time difference doesn’t really make much sense when Leo’s hours are all over the place. Jake’s Italian is passable now, pretty fluent from talking with Leo when he’s in the right head space, but more importantly when Leo video calls Leandro and Silvia Jake tries very hard to solely speak Italian; he hopes it helps them like him. They seem to like him, but they’ve never met in person.
                Yet.
So while his Italian is passable, he’s still very clearly American, walking around talking English with a group of four of them. He’s pretty sure they’re being given the run around and he’s over it; they have time, but it’s not unlimited. He can’t help the wide grin when Leo picks up after only two rings.
                “Hey babe.”
Phoenix makes a gagging motion and Jake flicks her a middle finger, but he can’t help grinning. They’ve been deployed together a few times now and he’d go so far to say they’re friends. At different times she reminds him of any of his sisters and it makes him homesick and lessens it all at once.
“Hey. To what do I owe the pleasure of a long-distance phone call?”
“Well. Uh. We’re trying to find that little restaurant you told me about, but we cannot get directions out of anyone.”
“You’re trying to visit Gallo’s?” Leo asks, and his voice has gone high pitched and Jake wonders if he should have maybe asked if this was okay.
“Yeah. I mean, I’ve got some limited shore leave, and… I know it’s not ideal. But I’d like to meet them. If that’s okay?” Jake asks, and he’s slipped into Italian, because he doesn’t need the other knowing he’s maybe fucked up. “No one will give us directions though… And it’s like it’s been taken off all maps. Does it still exist?”
“Oh. Yeah. Uh. Definitely still exists. What street are you on?”
Jake walks up to the corner and peers up at the side of the building where the street name is attached to the side of a building. He reads it out and Leo lets out a sharp bark of laughter.
“Wow. I wish I was there with you, you know. Visiting the scene of the crime as it were…”
                “What crime?”
                “When you stole my heart…”
                “Wow. That’s cheesy.”
“Yeah. I thought so. Blame it on my Italian and French training…”
“I like your Italian and French training…”
                “I know you do.”
Then Leo is giving him directions and Jake is walking, waving a hand for the others to follow him. There’s lots of traffic and people to dodge, but Leo is clearly very familiar with the area still, describing what Jake should be able to see, colored awnings and street names as he crosses them, cars honking angrily as the others scurry to keep close. Then he’s there, standing in front of a glass door with Gallo’s written on it in gold. There is also a woman standing just inside and she’s scowling at him. He tries to smile winningly but it simply makes her scowl more and he wonders how they treat customers.
“Uh. Okay. Is there a woman standing near the door?”
“Yes… she’s looking at me and doesn’t look pleased.”
                Leo laughs.
“Normally Silvia is on the front, but it’s early. Pass Maria the phone.”
Jake does, even as she looks confused and takes it from him. He can vaguely hear Bradley talking Italian and she’s answering back, their pace of conversation far too fast for Jake to follow. Then her eyes are lighting up and she looks at Jake more closely, eyes suddenly shrewd as she takes him in, but she’s starting to smile, tone of voice changing to something clearly happier.
                “Leandro! Silvia!”
Those names he recognizes at least, and then there are more people, and a lot more noise and he can feel Phoenix, Javy and Fritz all pressing in close, likely feeling overwhelmed. Jake can at least tell the yelling is happy excitement and he hopes he’s the cause. Then they’re there, Leandro and Silvia, looking at him, a little shocked but it quickly turns to wide smiles.
                “Jake!”
                “That would be me…”
Then he’s being swept into a warm hard hug, air squeezed out of him by surprisingly strong arms. Then he’s doing introductions, everyone being hugged and welcomed. Leandro’s English is surprisingly flawless, which Jake finds surprising. Then there’s an order to close the restaurant and he shakes his head, but Silvia is nodding, ignoring him, telling the other woman to call the family and oh shit… he’s starting to really wish Leo was here, is glad he has Javy, Phoenix and Fritz at least.
It becomes a party, and he’s really fucking glad he has the level of Italian he has now. Leo’s family is huge, and there are aunts and uncles, cousins, grandmothers who pat his cheek and call him Leo’s paramor which makes him blush for stupid reasons. They’ve been together for three years. There are enough people there that speak English that he’s sure that none of his friends feel left out. Then the food starts coming; they’re treated to a wide variety of different foods, Leandro watching him with the same level of intensity that Leo has, and Jake can see where he gets it from now.
There isn’t any sauce and he’s honestly not brave enough to even ask, simply eats and enjoys it. Better than getting stabbed by Leo’s mentor. Father. The closest thing he has to a father now anyway and he catches him smiling in Jake’s general direction a few times, so he’ll take that as a reassuring sign. Then there’s dessert and they’re all groaning but also unable to say no to second helpings. They try and pay at the end and are waved off, given kisses and Sylvia presses extra food into their hands and Phoenix slaps a hand over his mouth when he politely tries to decline.
When he finally chances a look at his phone he sees a stream of heart emojis from Leo.
…            …            …
“Why didn’t you tell me about your boyfriend?”
No hello. No name. Just out the gate.
                “Shit.”
Ice doesn’t say anything, lets the silence stretch between them. He will wait Bradley out for hours if he has to. Has done before and he also knows Ice is hurt. That hadn’t been his intention and he’s going to have to make this right somehow.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for you to find out that way. I…” he pauses, wonders if he should apologize again. “I… I haven’t told him about you and Mav.”
                “What about us?”
“Well, that you’re Uncle Tom and he’s…”
                “He’s Maverick.”
                “Yeah.”
“I would have thought, assumed, that you were simply keeping these two areas of your life distinct and separate. However the fact that Slider not only knows who it is, but has met him several times… tells me you’re not.”
Fuck. That it’s that which Ice sounds the most upset and hurt about makes him feel worse. This has kind of backfired, because he’s let it drag out far too long and that’s all on him.
“No. I’m not. I’m… Originally I didn’t want to freak him out with your rank. And Mav’s…” Ice snorts at that, because there’s no way to accurately summarize Mav’s Mav-ness.
                “Is that the only reason?”
“I… no,” Bradley admits quietly, guiltily. Because Silvia had pointed it out to him, that maybe he was doing it to hurt them, like they had hurt him. Even though it’s been fifteen years and Ice never left him alone. He’d denied it initially when she’d brought it up, but it had made him think. “I didn’t mean to hurt you, but I think I wanted to. I really am sorry.”
                “Hmm.”
                “Uncle Tom…”
“Well I can’t say I’m not hurt. Did you think I wouldn’t be happy for you?”
“No! Of course not! But also, uh, I wanted to tell Jake about you, and you about Jake, but…”
“Ah. So we are your dirty little secret.”
                “No! Well…”
“Hmm. So… Jake. Would that be… Lieutenant Jake Seresin?”
“Did you just look him up? Ice!”
“I have a mind like a steel trap. I remember all sorts of names. Now, I have a favor to ask…”
                “Of course. Anything.”
“Good. I hope you mean that.”
                “You know I do.”
“Will you listen to him? Mav. When he calls you.”
“Why should I?” Bradley asks, although he knows that he will. If only to now assuage his curiosity.
“He has something to tell you. And I think it’s important that you hear it.”
Bradley freezes at that, his mind flooded with worst-case scenarios.
                “Is he okay?”
“He’s fine… just,” Ice lets out a long tired sounding breath and Bradley frowns, wonders if Ice is okay. “I’ve been trying to get him to talk to you for fifteen years. And it occurred to me that you might not want to hear what he has to say. So… when he calls, please hear him out.”
                “If he calls you mean.”
                “No. It’ll be when.”

Tumblr media
“Finally!” Your co-worker, Molly, squealed as she put the overflowing binder down on her desk, “Three months of freedom!”
Grinning you nodded your head along with her, “They’re not that bad, Molls.”
She had to suppress the eye roll she wanted to give you, “You had a class of little fourth grade angels. I had those sixth-grade demons all year long.”
Your laughter filled up Molly’s empty classroom, “Fair. They were probably my best class yet.”
She nodded her head, “Sometimes you get lucky like that. Was not my year.”
“Maybe next? What grade are you teaching anyway?” The two of you began to walk out of the building for the last time this summer. That was until you needed to get the decorations hung for the next school year.
She shrugged, “Haven’t been assigned yet.”
You nodded along thinking to yourself. The school on base was… tiny. Itty bitty. It was a miracle it even functioned. It was another miracle there were enough students to keep the place running. But they did. And it kept you employed. You’d only been teaching for the last three years, still trying to find your groove. You’d stumbled upon this job in your search and couldn’t believe it actually paid a decent wage. So, you took it and ran.
“Hey, are you coming to the Hard Deck tonight?” She asked once the two of you got to the almost desolate parking lot. Just your two cars and the principals left.
You shrugged, “Wasn’t planning to.” It’s not that you hated going it was just horribly overwhelming for you almost every time you went. It always ended the same damn way every single time. You’d get all dressed up, put too much makeup on and then get ignored. The friends you’d come with would always, always, find a man to talk to leaving you in limbo. It wasn’t for a lack of trying either. You tried so hard to just strike up a conversation with anybody only to be left or once again, ignored.
It hurt at first. Then you got used to it. You’d, unfortunately, had gotten used to being alone in a really crowded place. So, you just started going out with them less and less. You loved them. The group of friends you’d found in San Diego was like nothing you’d had before. You didn’t even think yourself as unattractive. It’s just when you stood next to them you’d looked incredibly average. Average and boring. Which was fine, it just got a little old when the hot pilot would be chatting up everybody but you.
“You should come!” Molly squeezed your bicep trying to convince you with a cheerful gaze crossing her eyes, “It’ll be so fun. All of the teachers are planning on coming!”
You had to bite your lip from the instant scowl that wanted to cross your face, “I’ll have to think about it.”
She shook her head, “That means no. Come on Y/N! Please?” Hey big blue eyes turned down as she gave you a silent pout.
It was really hard to say no to Molly. She was so kind, sweet and so damn infectious you just wanted to say, “Yeah, sure. I can come for a little. You know I don’t drink though, right?”
She nodded, “I know, it’s still nice to have you there. You keep our heads level and in check.”
You only laughed a little. You decided to call off drinking back in college. You’d had too many hospital visits for alcohol poisoning that even you got embarrassed. You just never seemed to be able to control yourself. You’d tried. For years you’d tried. But you’d always, always, without fail would take it one step too far. That’s when you decided to quit. You became an entirely different person that you hated when you drank.
“Somebody has to.”
She squeezed your arm. That’s who she was. She loved giving physical affection. At any chance she could she’d give a hug or squeeze an extremity. Only if you were comfortable with it though. She made sure of it though.
“I’m so glad you’re coming! We’re meeting at six. A bunch of pilots just got back from a mission too. Shelly told us last night.” She clapped all too excitedly.
Great. Just great. Hopefully Penny was working. That’d give you somebody to talk to. Giving her a slight head bob, you hoped it would come off as excited, “That’ll make for an interesting night.”
She shot you a wink, “You don’t know the half of it. Alright, see you tonight?” She headed for her car after stopping at yours to finish up the conversation.
“Yeah, see you tonight.” You hopped in your car already feeling the dread of tonight. You’d just leave before the sun set. That’s all you needed to do. It’d be alright.
Tumblr media
You were already regretting committing once you parked your car. Maybe you could just bail now? Fake an illness? But then the literal two hours you spent getting ready would be for null.
Sighing you decided to just walk in. It’d be fine. You looked nice. Opted for a pretty floral sundress. It was far too hot to even contemplate putting shorts on. So, a dress it was. This time a sigh of relief escaped your mouth seeing Penny behind the bar with a few other bartenders.
“Y/N!” You spotted Molly waving at you frantically. The three girls already sitting at the bar with a drink in hand. They all looked beyond beautiful. It came naturally for Molly. You knew you were slightly jealous of the girl, who wouldn’t be though? Shelly brought her friend Erin. Who both looked stunning. It wouldn’t be long now before each girl would get plucked. Might as well enjoy the time you had with them all.
“Hey pretty ladies.” You hugged each one before sitting next to Molly. You jumped right into the conversation with the girls finding yourself quickly engaged with the drama Erin was telling the group about.
Not long after you finished your first soda Shelly was getting chatted up. That was quicker than normal. The sun wouldn’t even be setting for another few hours yet. Maybe you’d have to make your great escape far sooner than you planned too.
Being so wrapped up in your own thoughts you hadn’t even heard the pilot slowly approach the bar next to you. He’d even ordered and all before he attempted to grab your attention. You caught Jakes attention almost immediately when he heard your friend call for you. He’d never been so entranced by somebody so damn quickly. He knew immediately he’d have to approach you.
He'd watched you for longer than even he’d care to admit. But how could you blame him? Your smile nearly took his breath away. His attention was so drawn away from the conversation that he didn’t even hear rooster make a snide remark. His eyes remained on you from across the bar. He was being beyond creepy, and he knew it. But for the first time in his life, he almost felt nervous at the thought of approaching you. Nervous of the thought of you rejecting him. He honestly didn’t know if he could take it. He’d never felt anything so strongly before without even talking to you.
“Whatcha drinking darlin’? I can get you another one.” Jake smiled softly. He’d decided to play down his usual overt flirtyness not wanting to scare you off. As often as it worked sometimes he did get turned down
You looked down at your glass realizing you were out. Then you decided to look at the face that the voice came from. He was handsome. So very handsome. That was without question. But he surely wasn’t talking to you. Nobody ever talked to you. So you turned away waiting to hear the conversation go on.
You waited a second not hearing a response but turning back to the pilot who was looking at you like he was waiting for an answer, “Me?” You’d asked with the utmost confusion.
He chuckled softly, “Yeah you. Who else?”
You peaked around and shrugged, “Not sure.” You’d admitted.
He brushed it off, “So? A drink?”
You nodded, he’s harmless you were sure of it, “Sure. Soda.”
A smile broke out onto his face as he tried to flag down a bartender, “Mind if I have a seat?” He asked you, not wanting to assume like he had so many times before. He had a feeling you were different. Whatever the hell that meant. But he knew one thing. He felt different. Nervous. Anxious.
You shook you head quickly. Almost on instinct, “No, not at all.” He didn’t seem to judge you in the least for your drink of choice. That often alienated people even further. What weirdo orders a soda at the bar? You. You did. You just pretended it was a jack and coke or something. It was easier that way.
You felt an elbow to your side. It had to have been Molly pushing you along. When you turned to snap at her she was walking away, waving, “We’re going to sit outside!” She winked knowing you were trapped. You were far too cowardly to run away so quickly so you decided to stay. But you felt far too cowardly to stay too. It had to be a sick joke or something now. Why would this gorgeous man want anything to do with you? Especially when Molly and Erin were right there.
“Thanks sweetheart.” He only smiled seeing you look straight ahead. Either you were shy or incredibly standoffish. He had to assume the earlier. Especially with how seemingly friendly you’d already been to him. It wasn’t all that often that beautiful women were shy Jake had noticed over time.
You nodded your head thankful your head decided to fall over your ear shielding the rising blush for him, “Sure.”
He sat down quickly turning himself towards you. This was going to be difficult he decided. He wanted to be forward, so you knew his intentions, but he didn’t want to be too much. Or worse, make you uncomfortable. He knew that there was no coming back from that. You just seemed shy though. Like you didn’t know how to proceed. So, he’d take the reins and steer the conversation.
“Haven’t seen you before. You from around here?” He tried to break the ice. He didn’t know if it’d creep you out. He’d never been this fucking unsure of himself and it was beginning to drive him mad already.
He seemed genuine you thought. Like he was actually trying to strike up a conversation. You’d still refuse to believe it was anything legit though. Likely a bet with the other khaki uniformed people in the corner of the bar.
Fuck it. May as well entertain it. Even if it was a joke at least it was a conversation. Not like you’d had your friends to fall back on, “Yeah, teach at the school on base. Live close by. Just don’t get out that much.”
He hummed contemplating what to say, “That’s too bad.”
“What’s that?” You asked him all too curious at what he meant.
He shrugged trying to play it off nonchalantly. It felt like he was in seventh grade all over again trying to learn how to flirt all over again, “Could’ve met you weeks ago darlin’” He grinned scooting ever so slightly closer to you.
Was he being serious? Even if he wasn’t you couldn’t stop the reaction that came with the conversation with him, “Well,” You decided it was time to be confident. What’d you have to lose? “I’m here now.” You finished wanted to suck in a breath. These flashes of confidence came around occasionally.
His smile turned down into a low smirk. His eyes darked just a tad as he leaned in. He took that as an invitation. You’d more than invited him in now, “That you are beautiful. And I am so thankful for that.” He almost whispered in your ear.
You still shivered. He was laying it on thick now. So would you. Or throw it back in his face, “Are you?”
He nodded, “Very. Means I can ask you out on a date.”
The laugh that left your mouth was inescapable. It had to be a joke. In your twenty-five years on this planet this had not once happened to you. It happened to all of your friends, sure, but not you, “Yeah, sure.” You voice was oozing sarcasm that wasn’t lost on Jake.
He tilted his head as he observed you, “What?”
“Is this some sort of joke or?” You looked around waiting for somebody to point at you, laughing. That’d be horrifying.
He shook his head, “Not at all sweetheart. Why would you think that?” He asked with all the sincerity lacing both his face and his expression.
You took a breath. Because nobody had ever done this before? Because why would he, the most handsome guy you’d laid your eyes upon, have any interest in you? Because this was the last thing you expected tonight. Not that you were against the thought. You just couldn’t believe it.
“No reason.” You tried to play it off as coolly as possible, but you knew you failed. You were fidgety and anxious. Not attractive at all.
“So, what do you say?”
You looked around. Why did he pick you? It just didn’t make sense. There were so many beautiful women. When you were constantly picked last it just didn’t compute when you were one of the first to be picked, “Are you sure?”
He studied your face before his smirk dropped into a frown, “Yes darlin’. I’m positive. Why do you keep trying to check?” He turned the question around on you.
“I mean, there’s women in here like Molly.” You pointed to your blonde friend who was sitting at a bench outside near the beach.
Ahh, that made sense to him. But it didn’t at the same time. You were beautiful too. Just as beautiful as the other women in the bar. If not even more beautiful. Something about you just got his mind going crazy and he wasn’t quite sure what the hell it was. But damn was he determined to figure it out.
He looked over to the girl you pointed to and shrugged, “She’s pretty but not really my type.”
You took your time looking over his features making sure he wasn’t lying to you, “Erin?”
His eyes flicked to the other blonde-haired girl you were pointing too. He shook his head, “I think you’re beautiful. She’s pretty but you’re… you’re absolutely gorgeous. What’s that mean?” He needed to get you to stop thinking about everybody else. He needed you to think about you. To stop comparing yourself. It had to have come from somewhere. Self-doubt always came from a place of neglect. Whatever it was he wanted to help you. Hell, he wanted to go on a date and then ten more with you already. He could just tell you were so layered, had so much to you. He was more than fascinated and needed to find out more. For the first time ever, Jake wanted to get to know the person he was talking to instead of getting into their bed.
It was slowly starting to click into place for you. Maybe he did actually find you attractive. He was certainly being adamant about it, “Really?” You were aware how cringy it actually was to look so daft and clueless. But on the other hand, you were genuinely mystified by the entirety of the situation. It’s not like you never ever got male attention. It just never came in this form. It always seemed to come with a catch.
His softer smile retuned as he reassured you, “Really. I’d love to take you out on a date…” His eyes went wide as he trailed off, “I don’t even know your name.” Looking away in slight embarrassment it was your turn to gain a little confidence now. You were pretty sure that he was actually into you. He was as handsome as ever. And he seemed a touch nervous to talk to you. This was your chance.
Returning his soft smile, you sat up a little taller in your barstool as you turned to him just a little, “Y/N.”
“Y/N.” He repeated committing it to his memory. He got that exiting feeling that you’d be in his life to come for a long while. Taking a second to really remember this moment in time. Your soft smile, the light blush that danced across your cheeks, the way the sunset seemed to gleam off your glistening eyes. He was a sucker already. He’d hardly known you, but he was ready to dive right on in.
You hummed taking a sip of the Diet Coke you’d ordered waiting on his name. You weren’t the most talkative in general, so this was a task for you, to say the least. Words never seemed to come all that naturally to you.
“Jake.” He leaned in closer feeling the pull.
“Jake.” You repeated just as he did, “You look like a Jake.”
His smile grew a touch, “Is that a good thing?”
You nodded your head, “I think it is.”
He was full on grinning now, “They say third times the charm. How about a date? Me, you, tomorrow, 5 PM?”
You had to admit you were more than a little excited to be asked. Let alone by him, “Sure, I’d be down.” You cringed internally at that. Why’d you accept like that? You were trying to come off cool not like a sixteen-year-old girl getting asked on her first date ever.
He pulled his phone out in lightning speed, “Well then darlin’, that calls for me getting your number.”
You’d have to put a pound of makeup on tomorrow from how much he was already making you blush. Taking his phone from his grasp you could’ve sworn you felt the butterflies explode when you touched his fingers with your own. With you unusually shaky hands you put your number in before handing the phone back to Jake.
Your phone chimed after he rattled off a text, “And now you have mine sweetheart.”
You didn’t want to admit how smooth that was but your cheeks flaming up gave that bit away. When you didn’t respond he knew he needed to, “As much as I want to stay and talk with you all night sweetheart. Your friends are staring, and I know mind are to. I’ll pick you up at 5?” he stood from the barstool next to you.
“Yeah, that sounds great.”
He sent you another wink before grabbing his beer, “I’ll see you tomorrow gorgeous. Can’t wait.”
“See you tomorrow Jake.” You waved. With that you spun making a beeline for your friends who were nearly squealing by the time you made it to their table.
“Tell us everything!” Molly was smiling from ear to ear truly thankful you’d given somebody a chance.

It's a Date - Part 3
Tumblr media
Summary: Jake Seresin is feeling defeated. His youngest sister, Brooke is getting married in 3 weeks, and he has yet to find a date. While he loves his family, he can't say he enjoys getting those comments from his mother about when he is going to find a "nice girl" and settle down. In comes Y/N "Casper" L/N, a prime target to get rid of the one on Jake's back.
Warning: probably incorrect military information, not really proof-read. Also, finally decided what POV to put this in - RIP to previous chapters
____
The ride to the Seresin family farm is anything but calm. Hangman asks his sister, Emily questions about her new job; Emily needles Hangman about locking Y/N away from his family for half a year; Alice chides the both of them for behaving like children in front of Y/N. In all honesty, it was nice to have the attention off of herself.
Sitting beside her, Hangman put a hand on her previously shaking knee. Y/N hadn’t even noticed it moving. She looked to the owner of the hand that was now warming her knee, and he hadn’t missed a beat. It seemed like Hangman would do a majority of the heavy lifting in this relationship. There were a few small-talk style questions thrown her way, but Hangman seemed to notice Y/N’s distance from the conversation, and did his best to steer the women sitting in the front to talk about themselves.
Mrs. Seresin - Alice, turned the car right onto a private road, surrounded by trees. The conversation in the car had silenced and the car was filled with a comfortable aura, the background being filled by Texas’ number one radio station playing softly in the back. Y/N watched as the trees blew past her window.
She felt a squeeze at her knee. Her attention is once again pulled to the man sitting beside her.
“Are you feeling tired?” He questioned.
“I don’t understand. It was only a three hour flight,” Y/N began. She rubbed her eye. “I fly planes for a living.”
“To be fair, usually you go a lot faster. Those G’s help keep you alert.” Hangman used his elbow to poke her in the ribs lightly. He waited for a scoff to leave Y/N’s mouth, but instead he heard a soft gasp. He looked out her window.
“This is your house?”
____________________
The car pulled up and around the loop of the driveway to the Sersin family home. A large white canopy shaded the passengers as they exited the vehicle. Emily placed the car in park and everyone began to unload from the car.
Y/N reached into the trunk, only to be cut off by Alice’s voice.
“Jacob Seresin, don’t you dare let her get her own bag,” She practically hissed. Her arms were crossed and there was a scowl beginning to form on her face. Hangman shook his head. Y/N immediately retracted her reach and held her hands together at her chest. She sheepishly looked up to the taller man.
“Sorry,” she murmured. This was going to be a long weekend if Hangman already had a reason to be irritated with her.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way, Sweetheart,” he insisted, leaning into the back of the car before pulling out her luggage. “How else am I going to make you swoon if not for my southern chivalry?” Y/N snorted, before feeling the eyes of the Seresin women on her.
“Uh…, please, as if I haven’t already swooned.” A smug smile made its way onto his face, as if to say that’s all you’ve got?
He lifted his duffle bag onto this shoulder, and began to lead the way up the stairs to the front door. Emily was pulling your carry on bags, Alice had insisted that company shouldn’t lift a finger, that she had taught her children better.
“Ma, shouldn’t I be considered company at this point?” Hangman asked.
“Nice try, Dear.” She looked at Y/N as they walked. “Be careful with this one, always trying to push buttons,” Alice said.
“Trust me, I’ve noticed,” Y/N chuckled. Alice opened her mouth to speak again, but was cut off by her son.
“Can we try not to get me in the doghouse on day one of our visit?”
“Yeah, I’m sure you’ll put yourself there in no time,” Emily interjected. A quiet ouch was muttered as her mother pinched her arm.
“Anyway, we can chat more once you feel situated.” Alice motioned up the staircase that took up about a third of their entryway. “Jacob, you know where your room is. Could you please show Y/N to her room? I made up the blue guest room for her.” Y/N let out a small breath of relief. Hangman had told her there was no way his mother would allow them to share a room, but hearing it had confirmed that a few of her anxieties were for nothing. Alice began again, “I’m sure you two have… shared a room before,” Y/N felt her cheeks flare up once again. “However, I can’t have you two together with little ears and -”
“Ma,” Hangman tried to reason.
“No, Jacob, I know you probably think I am old fashioned but -”
“I was just going to say it was no big deal,” he said with a shake of his head. Despite the worry of having Alice Seresin go after one of her children again, Y/N grabbed her carry on and began walking up the stairs behind Hangman. Anything to get out of the conversation that could still threaten to unfold.
____
Downstairs, Y/N took in the room she was in. The living room was quite large. Windows decorated both of the exterior walls, and a large painting covered the other. Y/N sat on one of the beige sofas, tucked into the corner. As she waited for Hangman to bring her a glass of water, her gaze turned to the mantle on the stone fireplace. Pictures littered the surface, ranging from group pictures when the Seresin bunch were younger to graduation photos of the four children.
Hangman walked into the room, with Emily, his mother, and another woman in tow. He introduced the woman as his eldest sister, Amanda. Sitting down beside Y/N, stretching his arm along the back of the couch, and behind her back. She was a bit taken aback by how easy it was seeming for him to already be acting the part.
“So, Y/N,” Amanda started. “What do you do for a living?”
“Oh, uh, I’m a Naval Aviator too, I work with H- Jake,” Y/N said, mentally hitting herself for almost slipping up. From across the room, on the other beige sofa, Emily gasped.
“Do you have one of those nicknames too?” The aviators in the room laughed softly.
“Yeah, my call sign is Casper.” Cue another gasp. Y/N had to hand it to her, Emily had all of the energy and enthusiasm that an elementary teacher should have.
“You’re Casper?” Emily asked incredulously. Y/N’s eyebrows knit together.
“The Casper?” Amanda asked this time. “The Casper that Jake called us complaining about?” Y/N’s mouth dropped open. Had this thing failed so quickly? She had thought they’d last at least two days. She looked to Hangman, who looked a little… embarrassed? He brought his hand up to rub the nape of his neck.
“Like eight months ago he was so cranky because 'Casper' was doing better than he was at this training thingy that he had to do or something? All I can remember is that he needed to do like a hundred push ups because of you,” Emily said.
“Yeah,” Amanda started. “He was all like ‘This new guy is giving me a run for my money’.”
“Okay, okay, let’s not get carried away here. Casper did better than me in one training simulation but that doesn’t mean-”
“And then it happened again like a month ago,” Emily began with a smirk. Hangman sighed, pushing away any possibility of a smile. “You are now one of my favorite people. Anyone that can put a dent in that ego is a friend of mine.” Y/N giggles from beside Hangman.
“Maybe she is good at what she does,” He offers, looking to her. Y/N seems pleased with the response, putting it in her back pocket to bring out later, in private. “Can kick my ass any day of the week and I’d say thank you.” Emily begins to pretend to vomit when a whirlwind of pink and tulle enters the room.
“Jake! Jake! Jake!” The taller of the two girls begins to chant. Their eyes wide, bodies practically vibrating with excitement. It takes him only a second before he is scooping them both up. Giggles fill the room as he puts a girl over each of his shoulders. He spins them around once before digging his fingers into their sides.
Y/N is surprised when he doesn’t get taken out by a kicking foot. He had seldom mentioned having nieces and nephews, but she could immediately tell how much he cared for them.
Hangman brings the girls down to chest level and sits back down on the couch. They sit on his lap, looking entranced as he begins to speak to them. He asks about school, looking for an update on how they are enjoying it when the smaller of the two pokes him on the shoulder.
“Is that Y/N?” Y/N smiles as the girls look at her.
“Yeah, Lex and Liv, meet Y/N.” Liv, the younger of the two, takes her small hand and cups it around his ear.
“She’s really pretty.”

Sir? ( pete mitchell x Reader) Part two
Tumblr media
summary : when jake's worst nightmares come to life and bradley bradshaw christmas and birthdays all come at once
warning : goofy crack filled fun , jake seresin is traumatised , 18+
part two as requested @anniearmitage ❤
part one here
Jake seresin never considered leaving the navy  well until he turned to see  pete maverick mitchell  topless in his sisters kitchen  , along with a declaration of love for said sister that , that alone had the man thinking of going AWOL . ok maybe it wasn’t his finest moment but he rang his mom and snitched like hell only for it to backfire and his parents already knew and were fine with it. As long as their daughter was happy and treated well   , that also  only got Pete invented to come visit for dinner  to which he smiled right at jake as he said “yes “ .
“ well played” was all the blonde could say.  Although telling his parents was one thing , he didn’t want anyone else to know, especially the dagger squad, not yet not when it was still all fresh hell to him .  he could already picture the vibrations that would come off of bradshaw in excitement .  The close call that he had didn’t help when he gave pete mitchell a lift to work one morning , the ride awkward and silent  only sound of the music that came from his radio to fill the air . parking his truck and of course the dagger squad were standing there, confused and waiting for an answer.
“ boss man needed a lift” he called, chuckling nervously as Pete rolled his eyes, getting out of the truck and heading in .
“ How come he didn’t ask me ?” Bradley's head tilted and brows scrunched up in confusion .
“ cause i live near the woman he is seeing “ jake wasn’t fully lying to his friend but sure as she not going to bring up the fact that woman was his twin  sister who he was living with .
“ Did you see her , is she hot?” javy asked excitedly.
“ there is more to women than what they look like “ Jake hissed before storming off .
“ What the hell was that ?” nat turn to be confused .
“ beats me but the hangman's been acting strange … even for him “ Bradley shrugged heading off to the hanger.
The days felt longer  especially with the strange questions of his friend asking what was wrong with him. It didn’t help when Mav joined in  “ yeah hangman what’s the problem “ . He wanted to wake up for the nightmare that seemly was his life . least he had the hard deck , where he could relax and have a few drinks  let the world stay behind as he shot some pool and played darts  even listening to bradshaws’s  routine show . A place where the world was good and balanced …. But of course that wasn’t going to happen as he watched mav standing at the bar talking away to Jimmy about probably his sister . like the world stopped turning  and the color drained from his face as she walked in  not going to him and his friends like she usually did he was almost afraid to look at them .
“ hey y/n over here” javy called .
“ be over in a minute “ she smiled and made a beeline only for pete mitchell to pull her to his side and kiss her cheek . it was like  everything went completely silent  to the point he could hear a pin drop  , he didn’t have to see them to know where they were looking he could feel it .
“ oh OHHH SHIT “  nat voice made him wince and the collective “ oh shit “ echoed  after it didn’t help.
“ oh  wow … oh this is amazing “ was all bradshaw said  as he almost skipped his way to bar , a smile on his face like he won the lottery .  talking away to the happy couple  and leading them over while nat slapped fanboy and payback out of the way to make room all frozen .
“ hey guys “ she smiled happily .
“ hey.. y/n .. you and Mav huh? “ javy smirked .
“ you two boyfriend and girlfriend ?” bradley wiggled his brows .
“ man hasn’t been a boy since the cold war “ jake scoffed
“ yeah yeah get it all out now “ she rolled her eyes while the man looked positively smitten .
“ How did you guys meet” bob beamed up  quickly glancing at jake.
“ Well I was getting a new carburetor for my car because jake wouldn’t “ she began .
“ and i was getting part for my bike but ended up with the part and most beautiful woman’s phone number” mav winked kissing her hand making her giggle as jake grimaced and squirmed in his seat wishing he went to the store instead .
“ What a cute story “ bradley was practically bouncing in his spot.
“ who would have thought bradshaw’s new mom would be y/n “ payback roared laughing.
“Wait doesn’t that mean jake’s his uncle now,” fanboy added.
“ awh uncle jakey “ Bradley shook the blondes shoulders.
“ speaking of kinda glad to bump into you but would you like to come to ours for thanks giving “ y/n smiled knowingly adding to the torture and slight revenge for trying to rat her out to her parents.
“ i would love to i usually spend it Mav anyways plus i get quality time with uncle Jake “  Bradley batted his lashes .
“ well we’re not stopping and staying we gotta dinner reservation” she called leading the two out only for the realization to sink in  … he was set up .
Once it was out, it was out as  everyone soon found out that jakes twin sister was the girlfriend of captain pete maverick mitchell  .  she was everywhere now , on the beach when they played dog fight football .  that was when jake was taking his revenge on both bradshaw and Mav , scowl on his face as he watched his sister kiss the captain before he played . deep set from only deeping as bradshaw called an “ awww” .  the moment the whistle blown a steel wall of muscle that was jake tackling bradshaw to the ground  just as he threw the ball as jake scrambled ready to dive on his next victim only for nat to cross her arms and stand in front of him brow arched stalling the blondes movement.
“ cool down “ was all she said.
A scoff and kicking the sand as he followed her to the sand sitting down looking like a child being scolded by his mother .
“ look i get this isn’t easy for you “ she began .
“ not even close to easy , he’s nearly 60 years of age and my superior” he spat .
“ what would you rather her get back with her ex husband be miserable ? because i gotta say this is happiest i’ve seen y/n in all time i known her” nat spoke easily .
“ but Why does it have to be Mav” he sighed , even he couldn’t deny it , she was the happiest and in a way he was getting the old y/n back .
“ their both adults hangman , he makes her happy should the other stuff really matter, i mean  her wellbeing and the fact she being treated right  should be the main thing “ she  pointed out  and he hated how true it was . she was smiling more , she was definitely happier and to his credit pete mitchell did treasure the ground she walked on. He treat her like a queen and made her feel loved as much .
“ do you want her to be miserable because we both know even fun and games of it all if y/n see it’s truly affecting you she will break her own heart to make you happy so ask yourself this would you really want her to be heartbroken so you can have an easy life” nat asked  making all sense he couldn’t see .  jake looked over seeing her concerned face , knowing she was already thinking of it  a soft nod and her head bowed down .  as she walked slowly towards the group  only for him to rush forward getting to them before she could .
“ Do you love her like really love her ?” he asked .
“ really love her “ pete nodded .
“ well then that’s fine by me “ Jake smiled hold his hand out as pete looked a little shocked but nonetheless took it .
“ Thanks, it mean a lot “ he finally said.
“ hurt here and well accidents happen “ jake whispered before heading over to his  sister giving her a hug .
“ What's changed “ she asked softly .
“  what changed is a wise friend pointed out that i’d rather see you happy than anything else “ he kissed top of her head. “Would you have ended it to make me happy?” he asked.
“ yeah i would have “ .
“ never sacrifice your happiness for anyone, not even me ok “ he said as she smiled nodding her head .
“ come on bagman we ain’t got all day for your tantrums “ Bradley yelled out .
“ hey watch your tone bradshaw that no way of talking to your uncle “ jake winked .
“ it less fun now “ rooster grimaced . “ he’s going along with it” .
“ sir? “
“ jake ?”
“ remember what i said accident happen” he took his position ,
“ not this time “ pete mirror his movement.
