Oh golly jee willickers, look at that, I drew more OC shipping content! Blame me getting into Pokeshipping for that (specifically just one person's interpretation of it), I ended up using some art of it for reference. #god i saw one of their posts about sam and jack relationship vs dean and jack's earlier today and it's soooo. it's still pissing me off#they're literally severing context after context. these people don't care about sam or jack etc etc at all#they're just there to scale dean's character#directly acknowledging these characters' personal motivations beyond dean's direct involvement is. painful to them#and even wrt to dean's direct involvement they sever context there too or focus solely on sam's responsibility while throwing out dean's#like we already know they love disregarding the conversation sam has with jack in 13.02 about dean or 13.04 about how much he cares for jack#but this time they referred to the scene in 13.06 where jack accidentally kills that security guard and dean says “took care of it.”#and sam responds “good.” and they only refer to sam's reponse of 'good' as being involved in the covering up of this guy's death#DEAN LITERALLY SAYS 'TOOK CARE OF IT' RIGHT THERE. YOU QUOTED THE WHOLE CONVERSATION. HELLO?#then they proceed to refer to sam as Making jack avoid accountability when jack doesn't want to#while dean is actually letting jack do what he wants 💔💔 while both sam and cas AND dean are canonically attempting to get jack#to understand that there's nothing he can do about it now that he'd dead‚ it's already done and the best you can do is grieve#throughout the rest of the conversation but they've conveniently left that out of what they quoted from the conversation i guess#someone who follows me reblogged that post and im currently wondering if i should block you#÷

Late night Rhys thoughts but -
He never idolises Jack, at least not fully. He cared about the guy, was inspired, a fan, wanted to be him. But he called him out on being a maniac. He kept on calling out the man's behaviour. He could be scared of him, but at no point did he make him into what he wasn't. Only what he was made to believe.
Jack is great at crafting his image. Charismatic, probably unconsciously awkward, but he knows that brings him strength. After all, he needs to be in some way relatable. He can read a person so well, and if you follow him, its because he speaks to goals Rhys wants to go to. But he learns to respect the guy, to some extend at least. He knows the kid is smart, he knows he can give him snark remarks and get something he rarely got - just as snarky comeback.
They both see each other's flaws and try to use them. To different amount of success.

hi this is random but since you enjoy the dynamic between jack and Mac so much I thought you might enjoy the dynamic between two characters Ty and Jack from a show called Heartland. it is a horse show but it’s very wholesome and they have one of my favourite dynamics in the whole show
Ahhh! Okay, so! A while back, probably like 4 years ago now, there was a gifset that I think was from The Curse of Downer's Grove and because I have never once scrolled past a gifset without being seized by the fatal need to drop some angsty, fic-adjacent thoughts in the tags, I rambled on about troubled teenage Mac who ends up in Jack's care on the ranch.
After the latest round of fights and explosions, Mac is looking at spending some time in a detention center. Grandpa Harry (with probably James pulling strings behind the scenes) is able to make an appeal and send Mac off to a ranch in Texas with an old friend, Jack Dalton Sr who has experience working with at risk youth. However, prior to Mac's arrival, Jack Sr. passes unexpectedly and Mac shows up about the same time Jack Jr. comes back to Texas for the first time in over a decade.
Jack has no plans to stick around in Texas after his handled his father's affairs, and he certainly isn't about to take responsibility for some punk kid from California.
Apparently there are quite a few similarities to Heartland! And I have now seen a couple of episodes. It's also sort of similar to "Bravetown" and if you check out the tag "bt in texas" on Anguish's blog, you'll probably find some gifsets the capture the vibes
Anyway, that's more than you were expecting but I should probably check out Heartland again and maybe that will spark me into finishing this idea because realizing that it's 4 years old kind of makes my heart hurt a little bit
#tumblr buddies#ask impossiblepluto#macgyver#i have an outline and a few misc scenes/lines#so mac is of course ready for Jack to give upon him like everyone else has#and just keeps waiting for the day that Jack sends him away#there's also a bit where someone realizes oh wait Jack sr. is dead and Mac expects Jack to like send him back to california and juvie#and he's just continually surprised that doesn't happen#(it's revealed later that Jack was a troubled teen and Jack Sr. starts mentoring because of his regret about how things went down)#there are lots of quiet sullen mac moments and how he gets jumped by bullies and is just staring at jack with a black eye#nearly hidden by a fringe of hair#just almost daring jack to give up on him#and then the moment where everythign changes and Mac calls him because he needs help and he trusts jack#and some teenage stupidity where mac is at like a party or something and dumb decisions are made#but he realizes decisions were dumb and calls jack who picks him up at like 3 in the morning and puts him to bed#but then gets him up at the crack of dawn because it's a working ranch and there are chores to do#(there are also notes about accidental branding like mac burns himself somehow but maybe someone else breaks into the barn and burns him)#(it is unclear what the plan was- just vibes)#(which is unfortunately most of the this idea so at least it's consistent)#(there's also stuff about a hair cut but dude i do not know what the plan was for that at all)#(also someone coming after mac because of james but no one knows that it's james' fault)

every time jun has gone back to China for activities I become more and more done with XCSS (Pledis China)... it's so clear they're incompetent and don't understand how the Chinese entertainment industry works 🙃
#either that and/or theyre deliberately sabatoging jun#which like... i do abide by the whole 'dont attribute to malice what you could attribute to incompetence' thing#but also at this point its ridiculous...#a very summarized version is that in china its very common practice for companies to collaborate directly with official fanbases#so fanbases can organize events and provide promotion and support etc.#like its hard to explain but fanbases are more official organizations that are an important part of the entertainment industry#its basically a job for some people#but xcss/pledis has not been properly communicating with juns fanbases (jfortepiano and jun bar)#and its been causing a lot of issues#theyre also not following certain social media conventions for events apparently#all of which is hurting the promotion of juns acting activities#its also not a good look when every other actor has this fan support and jun either doesnt have any or has last minute stuff put together#bc the fanbases were not given proper notice/communication from the company#also im saying this as someone who has actually defended pledis (korea) for many things so like#yall know i wouldnt be complaining about this if it was just a small thing or there was some other explanation for it#the best explanation is that theyre incompetent and are treating c-ent like its k-ent when its not#but after all these years shouldnt they have learned by now and hired people who know what theyre doing??#might delete this but i needed to rant#its also frustrating when so called carats insult jun for doing solo activities and act like he thinks hes above svt#when hes not even getting proper support for his solo activities from the company 🙃#like no babes i promise this is not easier for him 😭#also i have to wonder what the xcss employees even do most of the time...#as far as i know they dont have any artists that promote solely in korea so jun and minghao should be their main priotities right???#but they seem to do jack shit whether chinaline is in korea or back in china to promote stuff#like not even the bare minimum half the time#ugh anyway#melia.txt
