Ooooh, good question!!

Let's see... The chapters in Les Misérables where Jean Valjean drags unconscious and bleeding Marius through the sewers gave me massive whump feelings the first time I read it, and the bit where he's unconscious in the carriage dripping blood from his hair when it bumps over something will stick with me forever. And then of course when they lay him out on the couch and start tearing up the linens for bandaging, and also the 6 months or whatever he spends feverish and recovering <3333 Such a good section of the book haha and it never fails to hit the spot. I really love the bloody details (literally) and all the little things about him barely breathing etc. Agh. So good.

The entire first season (well, maybe first half of the season) of Prodigal Son was also revolutionary to me when I first watched it, but the episodes that really stand out are EP 2 where Malcolm is bitten by a venomous snake and passes out and then wakes up screaming in the hospital begging to know what they're drugging him with, and then later stumbling around because he drank alcohol that interacted with said drugs; and EP 12 where he goes and gets shock therapy to see if the bad guy is working there sjdjsjs. 10 and 11 get honorable mentions because they're like. The prime whump episodes of the show, but anyway!!! This show changed me and I was never the same in terms of whump consumption

As for the third... well, there's a lot of things that could work, but this little fic (Just a Cold by tirsynni) has just... seeped into my brain entirely ajsjdjs. I regularly catch myself leaning on similar tropes/moments and I just really really enjoy the sort of hazy POV + 'caretakers talking around the sick character' vibe that's going on <3

Honorable mentions include the scene in Library of Souls (Random Riggs) where Jacob gets beaten half to death; the Inheritance trilogy (?) for the Roran WHIPPING SCENE that's burned into my brain forever and ever + the bit in Eragon where Eragon gets put in prison in Gilead; and the scene in Clockwork Princess I think it is where Will gets poisoned and then is all drugged up lying on the couch because they were all incredibly formative to me as a child and teenager haha

General thoughts:

Uh, so, what the fuck 🫠 I am so sorry to everyone who watched this show live that cliffhanger is just….so evil.

Actually so happy to see Maggie get included with the crew, and it was nice to see that things weren’t just thrown under the rug from the last episode. Like on one hand, I am sympathetic towards Sophie, but on the other, her con put the team in a lot of danger. Danger they did not agree to because their heists are never really on the safe side. So it was fun to see that “yeah, I don’t know if I can trust you like I could before.”

ESPECIALLY WITH ELIOT!!! He actually admitted that he was feeling at home with the team and getting comfortable and letting his walks down 🥺 so it makes so much sense that he’s not ready to forgive Sophie for breaking that (also, Eliot I swear, we need more episodes focused on you because WHO FUCKING ARE YOU??? Nothing is explained fully, you’re like a jack of all trades, the tank of the team, you have a very tough exterior and I just— I wanna knooooooooooow 😖)

Hardinson and Parker were so fucking cute 🥰 and I love how their relationship is building but also felt really worried because Hardinson really wants to talk to Parker about where they stand, but she’s being very avoidant about it T^T and then!!! she fucking says “Let’s see how hard you look,” WITH A FUCKING SMILE GIRLIE NO!!! just finished watching the latest ep of 9-1-1 abc and it was great! i especially loved the maddie scenes and bobby holding a BABY and pretty much everything except eddie cheating on marisol i guess i dont really give a fuck about that bc it wasnt really as compelling as the other storyline with hen and karen and mara. the reunion with mara and her half brother tyson was SOOOOO heartwarming i loved it so much :')

also maddie and chimney and jee <3333 that scene was so cute i love them so much !!!!

eddie leaving christopher with buck so he can go cheat on marisol with a woman who really actually doesn't even look that much like shannon was about as interesting as watching someone play golf. sorry. at least it's guaranteed that chimney and bobby are the only men who will not cheat on their significant others lmfao......

This show is finally ending, I've been stopping myself from starting it since like December I think when I saw Tiktoks from those early episodes (honestly younger, cute boytoy top Charlie who is so beautiful to me had a hand in that lol). The chatter also seems to really like the show, maybe unexpectedly for quite a few people (also I think at least a certain amount of it is for the side ship? Alan and Jeff or something? who I know nothing about because I only really know some plot points until like ep 4 or smth because I'd look up Tiktoks)

okay I'm reading the on-air thread for this on r/boyslove and some people are like hmmm about their chemistry so far and are like why is the NC stuff so tame/vague but personally... I can watch the NC scenes when it's like this, so it's going well in my books lol rip, though I kinda assume it might get more heated in the later eps? Also hm idk about Charlie and Babe's chemistry, it seems fine but not magnetic/magical yet.

Also people in that thread seem to have little to no experience with omegaverse or have mostly read alpha/omega and also seem confused about what's allowed vs not allowed when in fact, there's no rigid rules with omegaverse because it's a literal fanfic concept and you can make it whatever you want. Personally, I haven't read any original book/manhua/etc. with omegaverse but am so well-versed in fanfic a/b/o lol a/a o/o a/o are all great, sometimes with a beta though beta/x do tend to be quite rare, even more than a/a and o/o I feel like?? Also have read OT3 a/b/o or a/a/o or a/o/o etc. Love all the different types of fics omegaverse has to offer: the 4k explicit fics and 20k romances and 60k of criticizing society/trying to break out of the rigid molds/mirroring real world issues/etc. Traditional, medium trad-nontrad, and nontraditional omegaverse can all also be interesting and good.

I'm expecting this one to just be like the 20k kinda non-traditional romances w/ a/a.

Last episode, like 50 mins long and I don't know what I'm hoping for. like at first, the show was mostly about Babe and Charlie and I want a good closure for them too, esp after like 3 episodes without them together. But I'm randomly so invested in like Kenta now and I don't know what I want from that end. I don't care that much about Alan and Jeff anymore, unfortunately but I'm guessing we'll get some time with them too. Also want to see how the huge and elaborate child trafficking ring is dealt with.

Overall:

This show had everything: non-traditional alpha/alpha relationship (w concepts I wasn't aware of like Enigmas but somehow no Omegas lol), racecar competitions, x-men like superpowers (heightened senses, stealing powers, hypnosis, mind reading, telling the future), child trafficking, pseudo-incest if you think about it (from Kenta's side at least) and more. And it didn't have a super strong script, there were nonsensical elements and plot holes that didn't get addressed and things that happened to just move the plot along, but it was a fun watch nonetheless, both for the novelty and the entertainment factor.

The most important aspect of the show was definitely the characters and relationships despite there being like a wrong human trafficking ring and everything involved; it well went back to how it affected the people and their relationships. Babe was a very compelling character with his past and how he behaves in the present and his relationships with Tony/Way/people in general. Also helped that Pavel did a really good job with him and acted his ass off, there were quite a few emotional moments in there.

I agree with some people's comments that I wish Charlie's actor Pooh as a better actor. And his character wasn't as developed or with depth as the other ones either, like in terms of emotions I guess. I could never quite tell how much in love with Babe he really was at a given time because he didn't quite... look it, it looked more like a little puppy fanboy who may or may not be playing it up to conceal his true intentions. Alan and Jeff were cuter in my head before they got together tbh. North and Sonic are dating to me, they're so cute.

Although I really liked Charlie/Babe, my true ship winners might be Pete/Kenta in a Not Me ToddBlack fashion, to be honest, with Kenta as maybe my favourite character (2nd is Babe). They gave us like 2 tiny hints that they might know each other and waited until literally last 10 mins of episode 11 out of 13 to lay out their history and baggage and relationship and Kenta's crush, all the while showing them in a fight where Kenta's trying to hurt Pete (but Pete knowing Kenta can't kill him). They have an interesting friends (-> brothers/crush) -> enemies -> allies again at the very end dynamic where I think that they could become lovers post-canon. And I love how pathetic and desperate for love Kenta is and how he was willing to do despicable things for Tony's approval before finally, finally knifing him. Really had me writing a fic idea in my notes app after my few months of no drive to write, I wonder if I'll actually finish it or not because it's kinda... more explicit and intense than the fics I usually write but it was really good in my brain.

Once again, I'm shallow, so here are the people I find most beautiful: Charlie specifically when he has his glasses on and is being a cute puppy, Sonic omg pretty girl for real, Babe is so attractive - esp the younger version of him without the gelled hair but even in the present day when he smiles and is happy he's so beautiful. Jeff sometimes but I think I'm more into his vibes than specifically his face. Way is gorgeous omg, also aside but that actor has mentioned dating men before including a 7 year relationship.

why do you have a musical ep and then the part where alice is going through self reflection isn't her singing. like girl. if you actually approached this episode with the right mindset aka i want to tell a story where music is the only medium that can tell it you'd not do That. best musicals have characters sing when they can't speak, the songs are an insight into their minds. would actually make so much sense to have alice wonder (Through A Song) why it wasn't right with anyone and listing their flaws and then eventually arriving at thoughts of pushing people away and thoughts of dana if that's what they were going for

It’s august, which means as a Swiftie the smell of salt in the air is upon us, but most importantly it is the birth month of @muslimintp-1999-girl 🩵 I adore you so so much and I wanted to do something special for you. It’s not detco related, but rather a fandom I’m not really in, but your love for these characters and for the ship really got to me. I do have to preface this in saying, I have only read the books and have no interest in the show (I also didn’t even like the books but I know I’m not the target audience). I also don’t really ship this ship, but Jere was my favorite character and the only one I cared for in the series because of how real he is. So this is my attempt at writing a jelly fic, here goes nothing.

(Fair warning it’s more angsty than I anticipated… sorry! I love you!)

Is It Cool That I Said All That?

Summary: Jeremiah’s pov

“Cause I like you. It’s as simple and as complicated as that.”

Belly Conklin will be a Fisher one day. Everyone knows this, everyone agrees this is true.

Just as everyone knows the one she will marry is going to be Conrad.

Laurel knows this, Steve knows this, my own mother wished for this. Hell, even Con himself knows this is the way things are meant to be.

I know this too, but sometimes… sometimes I wish it could be me. But that’s just too much to ask, isn’t it?

Belly doesn’t love me the way she loves Con, and that really sucks.

Who am I kidding? My brother is the best person I know, even if we don’t always get along. He’s perfect, and who wouldn’t love a perfect person? Someone who can do no wrong.

Dad favors him, Laurel has a special connection with him, Steven looks up to him, Belly loves him, and Mom…

Then there’s me, I love him too. Even if he’s an asshole sometimes, even if he thinks he has to take all the responsibility and do everything on his own, even when I want to be pissed off at him and scream how much I hate him…

The truth is, I don’t. Not one single bit. Because us Fishers, we stick together. It’s what Mom would want, and if I’m honest, it’s all I ever wanted too.

All my life I’ve lived under his shadow, hoping someone else would see me instead. And once upon a time, I really thought Belly had seen me.

She’s my best friend, I’ve loved her all my life. How can I not? She and I, we have something special. Even if she’ll always love Con, I know there’s a tiny spot reserved in her heart just for me.

The thought used to be enough for me. Wanting was enough.

Belly likes to think she’s the only one who looks forward to summer at the beach house, but she’s wrong. We all did in our own ways. Summers at Cousins was the only thing that kept us going. Especially when we found out about Mom… and even after, it was still the only thing that kept me going.

The sound of her voice calling me stirs me from my thoughts. For a second I thought I was hallucinating. Why would she be here with me when she could be with Con?

“Thought I would find you here.”

“You were looking for me?”

“Don’t sound so surprised.”

She wears a teasing smile, but her fidgets let me know she’s feeling nervous. She’s not very good at hiding her emotions, but then again, neither am I. We’re both too impulsive, too invested in those we care about.

“What can I help you with, Belly?”

“I can’t just come looking for you because I want to? Why do you think I want something from you?”

“Because it’s about Con and he’s my brother, who else would you ask? Since you’re not with him now, something must’ve happened. He was probably being an asshole again. Don’t let him get to you Bells.”

“… Not everything with me is about Conrad.”

“History tells us otherwise.”

“And since when did you pay attention to history?”

“I don’t, but I pay attention to you. I know you, Belly, it’s always about Conrad.”

She stays silent hearing my words. It’s true, we both know it is, but her next words sends my heart leaping.

“What if… what if I don’t want it to be about him… All my life I thought it was him, but… what if I’m wrong? What if it doesn’t have to be him?”

“But you want it to be him…”

“I did, yes, but not anymore. I’m tired of this Jere. I just… I don’t know, I guess I’m still trying to figure it out.”

“I don’t think I have the answers you’re looking for.”

“Maybe not, but after everything that’s happened… all of the confusion and the hurt… dealing with it by myself, I realized that was the last thing I wanted. And then I thought of you, how you must be feeling the same way. Feeling alone and needing someone to be there, but everyone failing you. I was one of those people too, and I’m sorry Jere. I should’ve been there for you more.”

“You’re here now.”

“Yeah, I am.”

My heart aches seeing the tears well up in her eyes, as she struggles to keep them contained. My feet have a mind of their own, taking a step forward to close our distance.

The urge to wrap my arms around her to hold her tight is one I cannot control. I have to force myself to stop, this will only hurt more when she runs back to Con.

She’s the one to pull me into a hug, wrapping her arms around my waist as she buries her head against my chest.

“I missed you, Jere.”

The fight to stay levelheaded dies, she missed me. How can I deny her when she finally chooses to come to me for once?

Holding her close, I relish in this moment. Recounting every little detail to burn into my memory.

After a beat, I slowly let go. It’s the last thing I want to do, but I know it’s what I have to.

“It’s getting late, we should probably go back before the others get worried.”

“Why are you pushing me away too! After I bared my heart to you! How could you do this to me!”

“Can’t what, Jere?”

“I can’t go through this again… it’s not fair to you or me or Con.”

“Why do we always have to bring him up!”

“Because you like him, Belly, no. You love him, and you always will.”

“What does my feelings for him have to do with us!”

“Cause I like you. It’s as simple and as complicated as that.”

I watch as a mixture of emotions flash in her eyes. I don’t know how to feel now that I’ve said the words out loud. Why did I say them? When I know it won’t change anything.

“Forget it, just forget I said anything at all, I wasn’t…”

“What I don’t want to forget, Jeremiah Fisher? What then?”

My heart pounds, the whole world seems to stand still, my mind goes completely blank. Is this real? Is this really happening? Or am I just dreaming again?

“I’ve been thinking a lot, and you know, before there was Conrad and Belly. There was Jere and Belly. Even with everything that happened, there’s still Jere and Belly, right?”

“There will always be Jere and Belly. You’re my best girl, my best friend.”

“And you’re mine. Best friend, that is. Taylor will be mad if I didn’t say she’s my best girl.”

We both laugh just imagining the temper tantrum that would surely follow, if she heard us right now. It breaks the tension that’s been lingering around us. It feels nice to be able to laugh about something dumb together again.

There’s no hesitation this time when I wrap my arms around her again, smiling when I feel her reciprocate.

“I missed you too, Bells.”

She holds me tighter then, I can feel her relax into my embrace, and I think to myself how perfect this moment is. Even if it started out messy, I wouldn’t trade what we have for the world.

She peeks her head up looking into my eyes. There’s a shyness about her that I rarely get to see up close. It’s usually directed towards Con, but this time it’s because of me.

“Where do we go from here, Jere?”

“Wherever you want. We can go slow, nothing has to change, until you��re sure.”

“What about you? What do you want?”

“I want you to be happy, Belly, truly and genuinely forever and ever. You’ll always have me, there will always be Belly and Jere.”

It’s delicate, the relationship we have. Just as I know the feelings she still has for Con and vice versa. But for now, I can pretend she’s mine.

Belly Conklin will be a Fisher one day, and maybe just maybe, I will be the one she chooses to wed.

A/N: Okay, I really did want to put more fluff, but it was just not happening. I have many many feelings about Jere, so it just kinda spilled out here. OKAY! AAAAAAAAA I am still super thrilled and excited and ksjaksdjlakjdlksjdl Yes sorry for introducing you to the pain of the final Act where you go "WAIT. NO. NO???? NOOOO" ;___; all the way until the end (and also judge Alan very hard, but with much love, for his terrible decisions)

But fortunately, their journey doesn't end in TSME Act IV, so for the 'where to go' for their story, I think the answer is the XY&Z Season of the Pokemon Anime (Pokémon XY&Z) :D But this time, it's the main PokéAni series, so Ash/Satoshi is the protagonist. All the main TSME characters are, however, supporting characters there (yes, all the main!), and Alan actually comes in the very 1st episode of XY&Z! :)))

He is, however, a supporting character now, so not everywhere, and neither is Manon. Now, I do like the XY&Z series overall, but just in case you'd like to focus on Alan's story within XY&Z, I have tried to gather the main eps here:

Ep 1 of XY&Z, which is relevant as a whole to the Team Flare plot

Ep 13 of XY&Z, official return of candle boy

He then makes a few appearances here and there, I think in eps 14, 23, 30 (I hope I caught all of them)

And basically all the eps from the beginning of the Kalos League onwards. Just checked, and it's Eps 32-45 , with 45 marking the last episode of the whole XY&Z season. The Kalos League is a fun ride (I remember enjoying it) even when not focused on Alan. 

And for extra, extra material on Alan and Professor Sycamore, Ep 68 of the XY series (which precedes XY&Z) also gives some tidbits into Alan's pre-Team Flare days at the lab. So that is if you finish XY&Z and think NOPE, I would like more :D I do not recommend XY as a whole, because I personally find it ...a bit flat. It has its moments, but not always.

As a supporting character in XY&Z, Alan unfortunately does not get the same focus as in TSME :( Neither does Manon. Also, the XY&Z series is not perfect in the way it deals with them, but still, I think when you love the characters already, it's not a big issue, and it 'concludes' their story well. Overall, I still think the Team Flare crisis was my favorite bad boss crisis in the anime so far, and you get to speculate/theorize a LOT.

I do recommend the Japanese voices especially, if you have a choice between both :)))

i’ve been watching bad buddy through tumblr since it started, and usually i wait for shows to finish airing so i can binge them, but after reading a post you reblogged analyzing the fight scene in ep5 i caved😭 i just finished ep3 and the hold pat & pran have on meee. like pran is stronger than i could ever be cuz if *i* had pat’s smiling face in front of mine all the time, helping me fix whatever problems arise, and literally being a ray of sun, *i* would not survive. and the acting? they’re both soo good at depicting even the most subtle changes in their expressions. their eyes alone speak volumes! (1/3)

pran asking pat if he’d eaten yet [ep3 4/4] almost broke me and the way he looked after pat said that he just likes to see his face actually did. i understand why pran’s always trying to put distance between him & pat because it really is too much. pat is too much. and at the same time my heart hurts for pat because that line? when they’re at the bus stop and he says that nobody’s around so pran can talk to him nicely? and he asks pran why they can’t just chitchat w/out it having to be about business? like he just wants to be close with pran and closeness is exactly what pran tries to avoid (though he fails) and i just can’t handle all of this (2/3)

Recommendation of the month:

So Long, See You Tomorrow is only available in film festivals I think? So I had to watch it on a bootleg site but it's worth it, especially for people who like this sort of movie where young men are friends and also possibly boyfriends but are separated for reasons and then the story takes place a decade or two later a la His (2020), Your Name Engraved Herein, Life: Love On The Line, etc. This one has a fun parallel universes thing to it though but it's still got the slow, slice-of-life vibe to it rather than any hard sci-fi

Overall Impression: It's a good one! High quality with good acting and interesting storylines that are unique in BL. It didn't hit me as hard as it seemed to hit some other people though and I'm not thinking about it much at all since finishing. I think Jim/Wen's relationship was one of the weakest aspects of the show to me because I didn't care nor did I really feel anything. I loved Heart and Li Ming, I enjoyed getting to see Jim grow and also how his relationship with Li Ming changed, I liked getting to see Wen and Alan's flashbacks and to present tense relationship, I like Gaipa showing up once in a while to be bright, I thought Gaipa and Leng's interactions were funny, I loved Li Ming as a character so much, I wished to be him so badly.

Overall Impression: The main female lead was whatever, wish she was just good at something. Whether it be fighting demons, fighting back via kindness and empathy, or actual power due to her status/wealth/connections. She's not the worst ever because she can still stand up for herself and she has personality but I mourn that they've written her like this. Van is just fucking boring and I don't care. My beloved Johan <3333 I liked his charming, cocky, beautiful character who was so intrigued by everything going on as if he really was 20 and curious about everything but also I liked his apprehension when it came down to it. The storyline with his brother was so T.T Also curious to see the evil brother half-demon Guntan and his sidekick niece Yeom-ji. They're both pretty cool compared to our 2 main characters. I wish the show flowed better in terms of the sequence of scenes and pacing and the main characters were more intriguing.

Overall Impression: Literally how was it worse than part 1? Especially when we focused more on Guntan and Yeom-ji than fuckass Miho and Van? Maybe because of less focus on Johan (I wanna know his backstoryyyyyy) and also just incomprehensible writing/plot direction. Yeomji and Johan my beloveds + Guntan being cool were the highlights. Hated the dumbass cliffhanger ending. such a forgettable show.

Overall Impression: Good but not great. I liked the first quarter and last quarter most because there was more action whereas the middle half was slower and was more people-based. There were different characters who had distinct personalities/circumstances and I like the fucked-in-the-head neighbours trope but most of the side characters were pretty one-dimensional. I wish we got to see some actual proper satisfying murder. The romance was barely there but it was still cute. I liked how comfortable they were with each other and I liked the platonic/non-romantic moments as well.

Overall Impression: This was pretty fun overall since I haven't watched much Irish television nor do I know many Irish people, so it was fun to get to peek into the culture and vibe of the 1990s Ireland through this. Also, the girls are all so different and also terrible in many ways; I do love it when characters are people I'd hate it real life and I don't think I'd be able to stand any of these people (maybe Clare, maybe James), so it's fun to see them go around wreaking havoc.

Overall Impression: I really liked the first 5 episodes when there was so much contempt but Taehyun couldn't stop himself from terrorizing or goading Da Yeol and Da Yeol couldn't stop noticing how beautiful Taehyun was, and then the friendship that bloomed in that but still with an edge. I didn't quite get the reason for separation in episode 6 and think the last episode was cutesy but out-of-character sort of. Still, overall a pretty good one; reminds me of a mix of Blueming and Utsukushii Kare. I was giddy so many times while watching this, especially the first half and was clutching my head and curling my toes despite it not being romantic, just full of tension.

Overall Impression: No matter what I think about the story/character/acting in these types of movies like this, along with His (2020), Life: Love On The Line, Your Name Engraved Herein, they make me feel a certain way. Even if I don't cry, some parts make have slightly glassy eyes and my chest constricts with the emotions. These feel human in a specific way and I can't take it always, but these drawn-out, slice-of-life movies where young men are separated and then reunite to be friends/lovers decades later is so good. Also I thought it was funny that I kept waiting for the parallel universes to come into it without realizing when we'd slipped into a different universe lol Also, this whole movie we got to see how Kang Hyun affected Dongjoon but Dongjoon affected Kang Hyun enough for him to write about parallel universes in his novel

IM BORED. my top three farscape eps from each season::::::: looking at these i think season two has the best EPISODE concepts (it was hard choosing faves from that season bc i love so many) but season 4 is my favorite for just,,,,,,, the hecking Yearning + domestication in each episode but i dont particularly favor the episodes themselves 

Season 1:

through the looking glass - i always saw this ep as being the first completely filler ep that really felt like farscape with the crew all working together and having a VERY CUTE little laugh about it at the end. i love the vagueness of it, it’s not annoying or cliche??? and i’m particularly fond of the yellow moya scenes like rygel’s like “shall i disrobe so it will be memorable” is one of my fave lines from him.

a human reaction - mY TRASH. MYYYY TRASH. just one of those farscape eps that are so Abstract in concept, they are just Default Faves for me like Always haha. so many good little j/a crumbs, the kiss in this ep is one of my BIG FAVES, i love everything about that scene and the ones leading up to it. LOVE THE RAIN SCENE. it’s probably the very first time john is like ‘maybe Earth bad’ and,,, ‘maybe space girl Good’ and i love that thruline of the show. this ep stands soooooo far apart from the majority of season 1 for me.

nerve: the hidden memory - “THE RADIANT AERYN SUN.” stark isn’t unbearable in his debut episodes woah! i like him as a sad boy who isnt a plot device! love gilina, love her death (rip), love seeing how far john and aeryn have come since they’d last seen her, love aeryn and crais’s interaction in this episode like YES GIRL SLAY, love whenever aeryn has to juggle with feeling WEAK and having to put her big girl pants on to save her himbo, love any interaction between d’argo and aeryn LOVE THAT.

Season 2:

crackers don't matter - the DIALOGUE in this episode is Insane and i LOVE IT i think there are so many line deliveries in this ep that are so memorable and Iconic they all just live in my mind rent FREE. i wish the commentary for this episode wasn’t about the more practical aspects of it because UUUHUUH i genuinely would love to just Absorb the mindset behind it. GOD TIER FILLER. 

out of their minds - i am such a whore for body swap tropes it’s humiliating. another ep with a lot of iconic line deliveries! i love cb playing as john! love that for her! bb as rygel too is amazing i love all their stupid accent switching SO MUCH. love the skeksis love that they joke about them looking like skeksis because it’s jim henson and they can DO THAT. 

won't get fooled again - any time i think about this ep im like man how Opened Third Eye was it to have john just immediately be like “haha ok this is fake lmao” like it’s so SUBVERSIVE in what it does pretty much right off the bat in introducing the moya crew as “normal” humans. eps like these are just ALWAYS my faves in tv series because of how crazy they can get and this one does and i love it so much for that.

Season 3: 

scratch n' sniff - any time i get the moya crew on a pleasure planet or at a rave im like HELLO. :) I LOVE RAXIL she’s such a funky little freak. describing this ep is so weird its like Oh Yeah The Boob Juice Sucking One. JUST JOHN AND D’ARGO BEING BACHELORS, WHAT BLISS. i wish i got more john + d’argo shenanigans in this show ‘cause they are like such a fave together dynamically mwah mwah mwah. <3 

into the lion's den: wolf in sheep's clothing - its a little crazy how much i Hate the first half of this two-parter which is super PANDERY AND BAD and then the last half is like so Insane and such a good close for the season. EVERYONE’S SO MISERABLE. the scorp shots with the imploding ship and the water UGHGUGHUGH <33333 love aeryn in this love her trying to save the Peacekeepers, love JOHN, love the little scientist nerd who works under Scorp i forget his name WHOOPS he has a nice design. THE CRAIS + TALYN DEATH IS SO GOOD;;;; LOVE THAT FOR THEM;;;;; <3333

 dog with two bones - i think the fact that literally no other tv show has pulled THIS MESS off really speaks to the uniqueness of farscape and its ABILITY TO TELL ROMANCE??? theres so much in this that is just like WOWOWOWOW THIS EP IS SO GOOD. the part where they kill the rogue leviathan and rygel is celebrating on the comms and it transitions to aeryn Going Insane in her prowler over everything that’s happening. FIRE. the dog with two bones analogy UGHGUGHGUGH <333333 I LOVE THE AERYN > EARTH THRULINE WITH JOHN SO MUCH ITS JUST AT ITS PEAK HERE WHICH MAKES IT GREAT BY DEFAULT. the coin scene is SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD THE ENDING SCENE OF THIS EPISODE IS SOOOO GOOOOOD.

Season 4: 

john quixote - MY FAVE EP OF THE SERIES LOL. love the COSTUMING love the POP CULTURE REFERENCES love that its SEASON 4 love that we GET A ZHAAN CRAIS JOOL AND STARK CAMEO. another conceptually abstract episode so of course i love it lol. love the scene in the end with john and zhaan where he’s kinda a sad boy!!!!! actually funny story about this ep the first time i watched this i was in elementary school still, i grew up on this show this is my Nostalgia Baby series, and did not know what the word “porn” was so like for a very concerning amount of time i always assumed “porn” was an Alien Word and not a real word. BECAUSE LIKE, in context you see chiana holding up a Gooey Boy and going “and this? porn!” and that was all i had to go by the end.

crichton kicks - I LOOOOVE SAD JOHN. I LOVE HIM. I love the character beats we get out of a john that CHOSE THE GIRL over his home and instead of GETTING HER he is punished for it, losing his chance at BOTH OUTCOMES like mentioned in “dog with two bones” despite him having chosen One of the options and not both. love the introduction to 1812 whenever john gets a named thing i am like Yes. :~) my boy, my little man. he’s a little crazy and a little sad.

terra firma - the YEARNING in this ep man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this ep waters my CROPS one of my Biggest Fave scenes is when Aeryn and Jack are in her prowler talking about john and he’s like Do You Wish You Were Human and she doesnt answer and im like LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more of that John Not Vibing With Earth Anymore trope which I LOVE. literally all fics surrounding this episode i will SNORT LIKE CRACK.
