Random realization when listening to Scylla

I've heard that in the original Oddysey, Polites is supposed to die under Scylla.

In the EPIC lore, Eurylochus was assigned death by Oddyseus because he opened the bag. This is concluded by how Oddy asked Eury to light up the torches, thus making him a visible target.

Joining the two dots together: If Polites survived Polyphemus, would that mean that Polites would be the one who opened the bag in Eury's place?

The next blow sent the human tumbling into the wall. It wheezed and spat up a gob of blood, pulling itself up on trembling arms and legs.

The human squeezed its eyes shut. I’m sorry Danny, it mouthed with cracked and bleeding lips.

Slammed into the ruined bricks once more, the human let out a breathless cry.

“You dare address him like that. You dare to call upon his living name!” Dagger sharp teeth dripped shadowy ectoplasm inches from the mortal’s flesh.

“I’m doing him a favor, disposing of you.”

There was silence.

Then.

The human looked up with glowing green eyes.

A wave of unearthly force erupted from its body.

A dual layered voice echoed out from its miserable throat.

“Oh you just made a BIG mistake.”

I have seen a few DCxMarvel dimension travel fics, and quite a few of them are of them are Peter Parker post-blip. Which gives me a crack fic idea: everyone who got snapped ended up in the DC universe. Yes, all of them.

The current world population is around eight billion, so half of that would be 4 billion... Yeah that would cause so so so many problems. But the DC universe is used to crazy shit.

Obviously there would be a sudden influx of "new" heroes and villains but with absolutely no context it is hard to figure out who is who.

Batman immediately trying to make contingency plans for all these new heroes and villains as well as figure out their civilian identities but this is very difficult because literally no records exist yet.

Magic users from both worlds team up, but I think they were still unable to fix it, the infinity stones were just too powerful. Also I think Dr. Strange and Constantine can't stand each other.

While I am at it, Wonder Woman and Loki would probably hate each other too. DC is more Greek but it has had their own version of Norse mythology, so maybe they are the same and have beef?

They would struggle to feed and house that many new people, but getting them jobs and integrating them into society would be hard too. And good luck proving anything anyone says. "You swear you have a law degree from Harvard? Okay I guess."

Do doubles exist? Yeah a lot of people probably don't have an alternate universe double, but it stands to reason some do. How do you deal with having a new kind-of twin? Or a dead friend or relative coming back, but different? Or even someone you never knew/doesn't exist in this world insisting they are family.

Some au double ideas I have seen people toss around are: Dick Grayson as Richard Parker, Kara Danvers as Carol Danvers, Steve Trevor as Steve Rogers, and Slade Wilson as/being somehow related to Wade Wilson, but I am sure there are other fun ideas out there too.

The snap didn't just affect humans/earth! So other planets are having the same problems.

Then randomly, five years later, just when people were getting used to the change, they all disappear again without warning. This causes as many problems as the original appearance did.

Legend being scared of the knights of the chain, especially Warriors, is one of my favorite headcanons because there is so much angst potential for both him and the knights.

Like Warriors being scared of traitors being extra on egde around Legend because it seems like Legend doesn't trust him and Legend won't open up to anyone about anything so Legend thinks Warriors is going to kill him while Warriors thinks Legend is going to stab him in the back

You know what I just remembered?

Hootsie was taken about an hour or so before Guys Night, which itself took about an hour.

Torbek was gone for about 4/5 hours (not including the time the party spent in the Feywild proper, since time is weird there), and he said that he hadn’t seen the party in about 5-ish years

Hootsie was gone for about 6/7 hours, meaning that she was probably in the Feywild for a year or so longer than Torbek was (assuming that 1hr in Avantris = 1yr in the Feywild)

So no wonder she initially didn’t run to Gricko when they caught back up with her in episode 18. She probably thought he had forgotten or abandoned her (which would also explain why she snipped at him initially)

To clarify for fellow crows, Philza responded to someone asking if he'd log onto the qsmp server ever again with, "Not sure, I like how we ended it, but not sure." And at this point, q!Phil's in a long sleep alongside his children.

His response is somewhat in the same vein as Pac's, in that things are uncertain right now. There's nothing definitive; they would've said as much if they were never going to go onto the server again (i.e. Philza did not mince words when he said he would very likely not join Dream SMP for their [hypothetical] season 2). With the loss of their children - as well as how few people log on currently - a lot of their motivation to log on has diminished. It's possible time will heal the heartbreak, and maybe in that time, things on the QSMP improve, more cc's rejoin/join, and maybe these streamers will feel comfortable with rejoining again. And their current endings can easily be adjusted to have them return in some way (i.e. Philza just, well, waking up lol). And in the case of things not getting better, in case they still don't want to rejoin, well, they have their endings all set. No extra work needed!

But it's important to note that either of these outcomes are possible. It's not "they're never ever coming back to the server" or "oh they'll definitely be back soon :)". Nothing is set in stone. Just keep these things in mind, is all.
