Omg for okada masaki both st (can't remember long name haha) and whatever the show where he played the rakugo performer was called were wonderful especially the latter (former... the chick with the ugly hair irritated me too much) which... made me cry at the end. Idk why neither are more popular and have more gifs and shit aah.

Hello there friend! I'm not gonna lie.. most of Okada's stuff i have seen are him as supporting roles lololol. I do love seeing his face but i never really actively look for his shows. I didn't see the St one your talking about, but i did see the one where he was a performer. He was good in that. I didn't like that drama as much as others but he was very good.

And sorry friend, i dont know what to telll you, that's just how a lot of jentertainment is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

friday late night thoughts on jpop/jent in general

In the span of time I’ve been away from Jent in general, I’ve gotten sad, disappointing news one after another. I’ll bullet point them in no particular order:

- Miura Haruma untimely passing away (I was an Amuse JP stan, dammit and this is more sad than just disappointing. And for the record, the only Amuse Inc. talent I follow now is Mizoguchi Takuya, when I can...so...)

- Tegoshi turning out to be an asshat with his tell-all, Avalanche photobook thing. RIP Tegoshi’s career after this one. Let’s see what commotion this will wreck among Jyanis stans. Thankfully I’m not one and have only been there momentarily for some Arashi, very early Kis-My-Ft2 and Ya-Ya-Ya (spelling?).

- Radwimps’ Yojiro Noda’s comments, opinions re: eugenics, euthanasia. I’ve been impartial to Radwimps for a while now but after this and Go Gatsu no Hae (I am/was a Yoshitaka Yuriko fan so...), I’m noping outta here. I used to be a Radwimps fan. 

I leave Jent for a tad it and I see some of it burned to cinders. Well... 

PS I hope Iijima Hiroki from KR Ex-Aid (one of my favorite more recent Kamen Rider?) gets well soon. Ugh. He tested positive for COVID 19. Not entirely sure if asymptomatic or not but still... :(

Vald a tout défoncé sur scène au festival Art Rock

Pour les kids de Saint-Brieuc et d’ailleurs, le concert de Vald avait des allures de pèlerinage. Le rappeur, encore au début de sa tournée des festivals, ne décevra pas ses fidèles en livrant une prestation messianique où Judas aurait gagné à la fin de l'histoire. Arborant un sourire de trollface jusqu’aux oreilles et multipliant les montées de genoux pendant tout le concert, le natif d’Aulnay-Sous-Bois prouve qu’il est dévoué à sa mission sur Terre qu’il cristallise en une maxime sur le tube Désaccordé : "Pour le turn-up je contribue".

Camouflé sous une capuche, une casquette et une paire de lunettes, l’arrivée de Vald sur scène derrière la scénographie épurée de son live (des carrés blancs qui délimitent son espace de jeu et rappellent la pochette vierge de Xeu) déclenche l’hystérie collective. Et si certains sont juchés sur les épaules de leurs camarades de jeu dès le premier morceau c’est sûrement parce qu’il n’y a déjà plus de place au sol.

Accompagné par son plus loyal apôtre, Suikon Blaze A.D. aux backs, Vald débarque sur son morceau Primitif qui provoque le premier pogo d’une longue série avant d’enchaîner : "Vous connaissez la politesse ?". Les premières notes de Bonjour résonnent sur la place. La réaction est immédiate. "Une histoire de bruit et de fureur racontée par un idiot et qui ne signifie rien" aurait dit William Faulkner devant cette marée humaine déchaînée par un petit personnage encapuchonné. C’était sans compter sur le rappeur qui prendra un malin plaisir à adresser ses salutations au public lui laissant la tâche de chanter le morceau à sa place tandis que lui s’occupe à mimer chaque punchlines. Ce Bonjour ne sera qu’un moment signifiant parmi d’autres pour ce jeune public conquis. Trop souvent réduit à ce parallèle hasardeux avec Eminem, c'est plutôt du côté d’un Johnny catapulté idole des jeunes qu'il faut aller chercher.

Quelques bangers bien sentis (Possédé, Mégadose, Dragon, Jentertain…) auront raison des premières défections et quelques petites têtes blondes sortiront de ce magma humain couvert de sueur et hagard. Pas facile d’entrer dans la secte Xeu et de résister à cette déferlante de pogos tandis que le gourou Vald éructe dans son micro et découpe ses productions tonitruantes de son flow acéré avec toujours le même sourire de Joker sur le visage. Visiblement touché par la communion du public, il tente tout de même de ralentir le rythme avec Ma Meilleure Amie ou Si j’arrêtais repris en cœur par le public. Mais la messe est dite : Art Rock est bloqué dans un pogo infini et même les mignonnes pitreries de Vald et Suikon Blaze A.D. assis face au public sur l’absurde Selfie n’y changeront rien.

En bon artisan qu’il est, Vald fini donc proprement le travail avec Désaccordé et Eurotrap, ses deux plus gros tubes taillés pour le live, savamment gardés de côté pour les survivants. Et les deux morceaux rempliront leur office : la foule retrouve un second souffle, chante plus fort et saute plus haut notamment sur ce morceau-concept devenu hymne : Eurotrap, qui mobilise le pire de l’eurodance au profit d’un banger qui détruit tout sur son passage. Le public d’Art Rock ne fera pas exception. Comme un symbole sur Désaccordé (que le public chantera d’abord a capella), Vald détourne l’imagerie religieuse et affirme : "Je multiplie les p’tits pains". Avec toute une génération pendue à ses lèvres ce soir-là, il n’a jamais été aussi proche de devenir ce messie qu’il incarnait sur la pochette d’Agartha, son premier album. A vous de choisir d'être un de ses disciples ou non.
