Cidden soruyorum. Gabrielle: Yani her şeyin önceden yazıldığına mı?

New Fiction 2024 - November
Lost on the Amazon by R. A. Montgomery (1983)
I knew from the title and setup that this wouldn't go into the kind of wild territory I'm used to with other gamebook series. It delivered on that expectation with familiar jaunts through the jungle and run-ins with characters of ambiguous intent and shady dispositions. But the endings were especially lackluster and I couldn't make peace with that. It seems to be a trend with the CYOA books to lead many story paths to unsatisfying conclusions.
"Synthetic Snow" by Madeline McGrane (2024)
Meld and mesh into something new.
"Laura Hasn't Slept" dir. Parker Finn (2020)
Might as well keep the horror to yourself.
"Midnight Vampire" dir. Takena Nagao (2024)
I wish I had a surprise vampire bloodbath.
"The Dover Boys" dir. Chuck Jones (1942)
Those boys are always losing.
Conclave dir. Edward Berger (2024)
Let the empire die.
Smile 2 dir. Parker Finn (2024)
The turn mars everything that came before and the little bit that comes after.
Venom: The Last Dance dir. Kelly Marcel (2024)
I really wish it wouldn't build up to some guy somewhere.
Heretic dir. Scott Beck & Bryan Woods (2024)
I said enough.
Memoir of a Snail dir. Adam Elliot (2024)
Shocked that it's not someone's real biopic.
Elevation dir. George Nolfi (2024)
Like a really good TV pilot.
Meanwhile on Earth dir. Jérémy Clapin (2024)
I don't think the aliens would care this much.
Your Monster dir. Caroline Lindy (2024)
Be your best savior.
Tumbbad dir. Rahi Anil Barve (2024)
Now that is a goddamn chamber.
Anora dir. Sean Baker (2024)
Hm, just, she didn't need that final guy. She didn't.
A Real Pain dir. Jesse Eisenberg (2024)
Retracing the winter of discontent.
Ghost Cat Anzu dir. Yōko Kuno & Nobuhiro Yamashita (2024)
Kids just need a whimsical, helpful, yet slightly foreboding mysterious beast and they'll be fine.
Small Things Like These dir. Tim Mielants (2024)
Quiet, intense, and personal is some pretty good Cillian Murphy.
Red One dir. Jake Kasdan (2024)
Like playing with a bunch of action figures.
The Night Stalker dir. John Llewellyn Moxey (1972)
I'm in for grainy 70s supernatural noir.
Wicked dir. Jon M. Chu (2024)
It just didn't flow for me. The songs were not joined enough for a soundtrack vibe and the space without singing felt forced.
Gladiator II dir. Ridley Scott (2024)
How do you put Pedro Pascal into such a dull guy?
The Night Strangler dir. Dan Curtis (1973)
I understand the template was there, but it didn't need to be feature length.
Pom Poko dir. Isao Takahata (1994)
The war of the raccoons is a tale that needed to be told.
The Tale of the Princess Kaguya dir. Isao Takahata (2013)
A bit scattershot, but that aligns with my every experience with this story.
Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979)
It was inevitable to just see this as the steps to the later reboot.
Galactica 1980 (1980)
Whuff. I just felt bad for BSG fans who were left this this as their finale.
