… in the Grandpa Torino AU, Izuku 100% calls All Might ‘Weak Man’ as a kid cause he keeps beating the guy up. And like yeah it’s mostly the man letting him but holy shit is this kid Feral as fuck. Gran loves it and records everything.
He’s moved in with his daughter after her husband fucked off (and Gran tracked him down to kick his ass) and he loves it. It’s how he gets All Might to babysit so much being on site. Inko finds it funny, and goes about her day as normal.
All Might who once had a bite that took three weeks to heal from Izuku knows that kid is going to be a hero one day. He’s kind of proud and feels a bit of vindication. A Quirkless hero. Finally.
Inko did worry about it for like five seconds then found her dad teaching Izuku where to but to cause maximum pain. She decided her son would make it.

Little demon izuku au. Hes a feral little kid and All Might is his very tired guardian. Izuku is gonna bite you. All Might has a little leash back pack for him. Izuku is like a feral cat, hissing and screeching at anyone who gets too close to Yagi except for Gran Torino, Nezu, Naomasa and Recovery Girl.
I've been so excited about this one!!!
- in hero society there are few secrets more closely guarded than the number one hero All Might's quirk.
- one of those secrets is the knowledge of the villain who rules the underbelly, All for One.
- but a secret that not even the hero commission know is that very same villain isn't what he seems.
- less than a dozen people in the last 200 years know this secret... That All for One is not only the most powerful villain but is the literal demon king!
- Afo is the ruler of the underworld who terrorizes humans and commits acts of villainy in his spare time as a hobby!!!
- a divine being granted a hero long ago with the quirk that could destroy Afo and/or cast him out of the world of the living.
- that quirk had been passed down from generation to generation in hopes to one day banish the demon.
- till it reached the hands of Toshinori Yagi after watching the death of his mentor.
- Yagi spends years waiting for Afo to resurface from the underworld so he can seek his revenge.
- but years pass and Yagi grows impatient.
- so he looks for a way to summon the demon, and after ALOT of research he found a way.
- but whoops! He must've messed up the the ritual somewhere along the way cause instead of summoning the king of demons he got a tiny child demon!
- it's eight year old demon prince Izuku's first summoning! And it could not have come at better time cause him and dad had just finished having one of their infamous arguments about humans!
- Izuku however is really disappointed and upset that Yagi didn't mean to summon him!
- though Yagi is just petty enough to take his revenge in another form, and makes a deal with the demon child.
- that All Might will teach Izuku how to be human and Izuku will one day help the hero when he's in need!
- Yagi soon realizes that even though this child is a lil feral demon, he truly has a kind heart of gold.
- though it does take AWHILE to untrain the more aggressive behavior from the boy. To the point to where he no longer hisses or screeches or bites people, but that's awhile off.
- right now Toshinori has a new son to raise and all his companions are scared and confused!

BnHA Chapter 313 - Things I noticed & comparisons
Chapter 311 was titled “Here we go!!” but THIS is the one I’ve been waiting for. We get story beats with actual emotional weight for both All Might and Deku, and there are no flashbacks — just 2 concurrent storylines. Even better, the All Might part exists completely outside Deku’s head (as in, Deku is unaware of what’s happening with All Might). Since we’ve previously established Deku’s intense and suffocating tunnel vision in Ch 307-312, it’s nice for readers to broaden back out a bit and know something Deku doesn’t. The downside is, I have no idea what this chapter is trying to say about All Might. Yes, he’s found his Fierce Dad quirk and killing intent/Conqueror’s Haki/threatening aura. But two panels in particular are callbacks to earlier dialogue, twisted slightly to have a much more ominous tone.
The first is when he’s thinking of his promise to Inko. Awww, right? EXCEPT HE IS RECALLING THE WRONG DIALOGUE!!! ALL MIGHT IS REMEMBERING WHAT INKO TOLD HIM ::NOT:: TO DO. Compare the one strip from 313 on top with the actual Inko conversation from 97 below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, does he not remember what she said?? Does he not care as much about living anymore now that everything’s gone to shit? Is he just concussed from jumping out of Hercules?? This is worrying.
Second is the closeup of his fierceness. This is the first time All Might has gotten so worked up since he saw AFO in Tartarus nearly 200 chapters ago (313 on top; 116 is the 2 panels below). He’s talking about his own death in both chapters, but in 313 he’s more reckless than defiant which is seems to signal a backslide in All Might’s thinking (ugh, right when he’s starting to understand Nighteye’s feelings and the burden he’s placed on Deku).
Tumblr media
Then again, All Might also thinks of Izuku saying he will change fate by All Might’s side (correctly recalling from Ch 131), which points the other way because that was about All Might’s determination to listen to Inko and live, so yeah, I’m not sure how to read this part of the chapter. Also, strong chance I’m overthinking!
Ok, on to fun stuff....WHAT’S IN THE BRIEFCASE??? We know All Might admired Mei’s “compact” tech, and he got Deku’s gauntlets from America (presumably Melissa Shield!) so I’m expecting some really cool shit. If it’s just replacement Endy phones I will be sad for days.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Whoa, All Might’s leather jacket wasn’t just a cute fit — it prevented some serious road rash! Glad to know he came somewhat prepared to an urban hellscape and wasn’t just flaunting his fashion for Best Jeanist. (Side note, I feel like All Might could be the Hansel to Best Jeanist’s Zoolander.)
Tumblr media
Did Lady Nagant really think AFO would send her after a “normal” quirked kid???? OF COURSE HE’S GOT SECRETS AND IS A CLEVER RASCAL. (Kinda funny that, from Deku’s perspective, he now has far FEWER secrets than he ever did when he was at UA.)
Tumblr media
Finally... Deku is breaking my heart. He looks awful and has been shot twice (I think?). If he’s not captured, he’ll need a LOT of rest and recovery. I cropped and rotated the panel below so you can see it’s not just the bags under his eyes — his pupils are small and unfocused even in feral mode at night. Poor kid...

Another fic rec list
This started as a rec list for “well-written fics with feral characters”. It kinda got out of control, and I started questioning “what even counts as feral in a characterization sense”, but hopefully some of these hit the mark. They are all fics that I love a lot and recommend more generally! All of these are gen and mostly rated T, unless noted otherwise:
A Dark Night in Ba Sing Se: ATLA, 20k words, first arc complete, on hiatus. Zuko gets arrested for taking the guard’s swords when he fought Jet at the tea shop, but he will not stay arrested, and further shenanigans ensue. Sweet, funny, excellent characterization, many delightful OC’s that really fill out the world of Ba Sing Se.
Towards the Sun – ATLA, 57k words, first arc complete, on hiatus. Same author as the previous (muffinlance). Zuko becomes firelord in rather worse circumstances than canon. TBH the “feral” part doesn’t really come in until near the end, when it turns out that trying his hardest isn’t enough, so he tries something else. Same author as the above, with really excellent characterization, a humorous kind of narration that will keep you laughing through the tension and heartbreak. Beware the angst in the middle but it gets better!
There May Be Some Collateral Damage – Bleach & HP, 60k words, complete. Ichigo is sent to bodyguard Harry for the 5th year, everything is delightfully chaotic and hilarious.
“I don’t take things from people,” Ichigo corrects her indignantly. “I mean, sometimes I chop them up and set them on fire, but I don’t take them. Stealing is wrong.”
Trust Me, I’m an Alchemist – FMA & YOI, 55k words, complete. Also by metisket. What if everyone in Yuri!!! On Ice had to deal with Elrics instead of Yuri Plisetsky? The answer is mafia connections and secondhand trauma but also more friendship and general shenanigans! Incredibly crack-y premise and the beginning to set it up is a bit weird and confusing but I promise the rest of the fic is 100% worth it. So funny, so wonderful, I re-read my favorite bits of this at least once a week. Technically lots of shipping (this is YoI after all) but it’s all played for laughs/characterization, not particularly romantic. I would post a favorite quote like for the above but I couldn’t choose just one.
Play it again – Teen Wolf (but no familiarity required), 63k words, complete. Same author as the previous two (metisket). Dimension-Travel fix it, Stiles is 200% chaotic but he has a plan and it’s gonna work. The Hale family is alive and so much fun, especially Laura. Also very funny, some romance at the very end but it’s pretty low-key.
What Goes Around – Teen Wolf, 71k words, complete. Kate kills Sheriff Stilinksy as well as the Hales, so Stiles and Peter team up to take out hunters like her in revenge. Unlike most of my other recs, this one is not funny, but it is interesting, and while they’re very methodical about it I think the way it handles “serial killers hunting serial killers” definitely counts as feral. Also this one is rated M rather than T and has Stiles/Derek at some point but I forgot the details.
Subject: A Comprehensive Report – BNHA, 83k words, updates very sporadically. Izuku remains quirkless but becomes the scariest damn researcher. I would call this “feral about investigating.” I love the multi-media formatting of this work and the expansive, in-depth worldbuilding the author contributes to explain how the hero system of canon came to be.
Something Borrowed – BNHA, 130k words, abandoned (for now at least). AFO!Izuku, who personality-wise is pretty nice, but when he goes all-out with his quirk he goes all out. I REALLY love the creativity the author brings to exploring and combining quirks, and how the characters work together to figure these things out.
Mr. and Mrs. Todoroki’s Excellent Day at Hero-Con – BNHA, 5k words, complete. I love “hero cosplays at fancon, trolls fans” as a story genre, and for some reason I haven’t really seen that outside of BNHA? Anyways this is one of the most chaotic and fun versions of this. Features Izuku and Uraraka trolling the entire world and especially Todoroki with utter panache. It’s Izuku/Ochako/Shotou but the shipping is pretty low-key.
Looping Back to the Beginning – BNHA, 10k words, complete. Class 1-A is caught in a time loop so they have fun with it. Featuring pranks, taunting villains, general shenanigans. Probably more “chaotic” than “feral”, but it’s a lot of fun!
Yesterday Upon the Stairs – BNHA, 424k words, complete. Look if you read BNHA fics you don’t need me to tell you about this fic, but suffice to say I think it’s status as the most-read English language work on AO3 is entirely deserved. Izuku is particularly feral in Ch. 7-9 (USJ attack), Ch. 26-27 (final exam), Ch. 34-40 (Kamino Ward), Ch. 50-end (Nighteye internship – esp. 57-59 for the showdown with Overhaul).
Twin Swap – BNHA, 55k words, two complete arcs. Fuyumi and Touya get body-swapped, shenanigans ensue. This is funny and cracky and endearing and more towards “found family feels” than feral escalation, but I’m putting it on here b/c Fuyumi is so done with everyone’s shit, and Dabi is, well, Dabi. Background Dabi/Hawks and Fuyumi/Miruko.
Abolish Private Property - Naruto, 27k words, sporadic updates. “The raging communist SI/OC that no one asked for, or really, deserves.” It’s, uh, very cracky but pretty funny. TBH I much more enjoy the sister fic Sanitize but that is the opposite of feral. Yui suffers no fools but she’s here to bring the wonders of modern medicine (what she can of it) to a preindustrial society wracked by war.
Several Yelp! Reviews of the Bridge~Port Brew Pub – Leverage, 900 words, complete. Parker is just always feral but this is my favorite Leverage fic, it’s fun!!
…and I didn’t end up with any FMA recs on here did I? woops. Uh, I recommend going through metisket’s and silentwalrus’ author pages, they both write great ridiculous Elrics. Mind the tags.

sour boi finds out where one of his babysitters went goes full feral on evil immortal villain more at seven
All for One has never heard such creative cursing. It’s a pretty big achievement considering the man has been alive for 200 years, but he doesn’t really get a chance to enjoy it considering Izuku is also punching his face in a fine pulp.

How I write a young All for One and a 200 year old AFO is vastly different from each other. You wouldn’t think they are different characters. At least at a glance.
A young one is much more dramatic, loud and proud with hints of paranoia. He definitely is charming and charismatic with his villain group. But when with his family, Yoichi, his unstable nature a bit more obvious. He doesn’t trust ANYONE and forces all his emotional needs onto Yoichi. That can’t even entertain the idea of the other leaving and dying.
Thus jumps to the logic of LOCKING HIM UP- This man acts like a calm and cool villain but he tends to jump the gun. Like he tries to force a quirk onto Yoichi to make him some how submit your him. That is not exactly sound logic regardless only an insane person would do that.
But he truly believes in his own hype and fears that it overrides the family members he claims to care about. So goes absolutely mental the moment they are gone. This version of AFO is a hot mess, clingy and possessive bastard. Tho I gotta say if you can some how ignore all those red flags there.
He’s super affectionate. I made Yoichi call him out on the one time cried because was denied hugs for a reason. LOL!
Then you have this 200 year old AFO. He’s tired. He has been at this for so long and has been incredibly lonely. He still tries to enjoy himself and have a good time but it gets boring. The closest thing this guy has for friends is that crazy scientist and Machia. Like sure they are his friends but even he got to acknowledge it not the best.
Likely at this point is living with regret since everyone he loves has died. Still he toppled many other evil empires, works the black market makes quirk drugs, the whole nine yards. Yet he still isn’t in charge of the world because he is so damn focused on his brothers quirk.
But he is calmer, age has allowed him to think better and clearer. Doesn’t mean he can’t go crazy or feral. He just has enough awareness to not broadcast that shit. He takes out Nana but of course All Might leaves the country. So he goes for easier targets, he plans-
Then he meets Inko. It was definitely NOT love at first sight, he planned to get close just to user her against All Might. Because I like the idea that Inko is Shimura. But since she was orphaned and forced to grow up quick- she’s surprisingly understanding toward him.
Since he can act kind, he is startled by her own kindness. The way she opens her heart to him and there is no expectations. She allows him to speak- Then some how they date and marry with a kid and he is realizing he kinda likes being normal a hint more then evil. And the dread of them finding out and turning on him.
Suddenly he’s afraid again. But not for himself but for his family- But unlike in his youth he knows better now. He separates his lives of hero and villain yet knows it only a matter of time but he doesn’t want to WASTE all he worked for. It also where his money comes from.
Also can’t forget All Might, because by that point the guy is back and is DESTROYING his empire in Japan. Gunning for his head- So decides to use plan B since no way he is using Inko. He loves her.
But the brothers family… he plucks Tenko to basically groom him as his evil overlord replacement. Kinda like his kid but kinda shoved him onto Kurogiri to focus on his actual family… You get it.
Basically no that he’s older he has enough awareness to care about his families feelings. Also he would god damn murder his past self for all the mistakes made to lose Yoichi. As it was in a blind anger made Yoichi run away then get killed.
I like to believe he isn’t the same but he still isn’t a good person. Just a bit more ‘aware’ that maybe forcing quirks onto family or throwing them into vaults isn’t how you get those you love to stay with you.
I mean based on canon if is Izuku dad he is clearly aware and thus why is avoiding revealing his identity to his kid.

Hello, it's me @darkpuppymemes so, I heard you have AUs tell me about them please and thank you
Edit II: I got tired of the master post not working, so here we go with the very long explanation containing all my current AU's as of 05/09/2020
The Occult AU is where Izuku can sense ghosts. He believes in the paranormal, supernatural beings, and a ton of other stuff outside Japanese culture. He also really likes to look at bones, hence why he has tons of specimens. Unfortunately, because he is drawn to the paranormal, he ends up being super into rituals and ceremonies that he can use to talk to the dead. Because of this, he slowly ends up gathering just a group of ghosts that cause chaos and haunt the shit out of him. He also gets placed on a watch list for solving unsolved murder cases, ends up scaring Toshi with his half All Might and half Occult room, hangs out with Nezu(much to his teachers horror), and occasionally brings animal skeletons with him to let the biology classes observe. He starts an Occult Club as well.
Nobody in 1-A actually believes him about the paranormal, until the same shit that happens in the Midoriya home starts happening at the dorms. Ie: Flickering lights, shit falling out of cabinets, items on stable surfaces falling over and breaking, the TV going static.
The Dying Light/Hospital Witch AU is the darkest of all my aus. The AU is definitely meant to be severe, and because of all the triggers it has I can't go too much into detail. Basically what happens, is Izuku does have a quirk. But because of it he's led to believe that he's cursed as punishment for being related to a witch. He's finally found at age 13 by Aizawa, spends a bunch of time trying to heal from the whole shit show in the hospital, where he gets to be known by the other patients and hospital staff as "The Hospital Witch." And unlike the nick name he was given by Katsuki, they don't mean it in a bad way.
He does end up setting his shoulders on fire on his first day, getting the moodiest ESA for a cat in existence, a father that may or may not be Aizawa, and long ass hair. Long haired Izuku is Queen.
Rat Coon's AU is more just, crack. Angsty crack, but still crack. He spends a good amount of time on the streets being a fucking chaos mongering sneak their for fun. He likes to break into Katsuki's room and steal his shit, because 1 it's funny and 2 he likes the smell and is 200% gay for sparky sparky boom man. He just kinda, outruns the police and heros for fun, commits absolutely feral crackhead energy fueled crimes, and just enjoys life. Aizawa does end up catching him, and instead of going to jail he takes up the offer to become Nezu's pet project. He's just a chaotic gay that lived in a van hidden in a pile of trash, has no ability to taste anything, and has no issues with ignoring common sense entirely.
The Necromancer AU is pretty much where Izuku can manipulate bones. Kinda like the necromancers from Diablo 3, he can use them to stab an opponent, make bone armor, or trap them if the bones he has are long enough. The drawback is that he is haunted by asshole ghost cats, and he has a 25 ft radius. He can't control bones outside of that radius, and while he can throw them, he can't pull them back if they go out of bounds. Bones are also fragile and break easily, so he has to keep a bunch on him.
His class thinks that he goes insane, so he flees UA and becomes the IT guy for a library. He also wears glasses in this au, and has the Pidge snark.
The HTTYD Au is where Izuku has a dragon quirk and looks like toothless. But with branches. There's not much else to it, but it takes a lot of energy to change forms and he has feelings of exanthrotagment (meaning an absence or lack of human touch or contact). Nezu finds him in the UA dumpster, and that's about as much detail as I've gotten. The plan is that some how the wildin dragon boy is taken into the care of someone.
The Happy AU is a ShinTodoDeku AU. The three are teachers at UA as well as pro heros. Katsuki is less of a dick in this au, and while there is some angst it's mostly fluff. It's more just meant to be more of a peaceful, domestic AU than anything.
There's two side aus I have:
The happy au side au, where the Analyzer Trio is in UA as students.
Rat Coon's side AU, where he's part of the "LOV"(IN THE ANIME SHIGARAKI SAYS THAT THE NAME LEAGUE OF VILLAINS IS STUPID AND WAS ONLY TO THROW THE HEROS OFF-) and gets captured alongside of Toga and Dabi. Chaos ensures.

Note
The thing about One for All is that it isn't good. I personally don't think it's necessarily evil but it's not good either. It's neutral. It's 200 years old, incredible powerful and has the one purpose. The purpose First breathed into it when he passed it on and added to it with his dying breath - defeat All for One. Yes AFO is evil and OFA wants to defeat him but that doesn't automatically make it GOOD. I don't think it actually cares that much who holds it so long as they have the spark
(Pt2)and the drive to follow through on the One Mission. The only reason it probably leans towards pure Good right now is that Nana, AM & now Zu have all used it to become Heroes and fight for good. The quirk itself is still just Neutral and probably willing to do whatever it takes to defeat AFO. The reason it doesn't stay with Baku is that it probably doesn't feel he had the spark or even inner feral darkness to follow through on that One Mission the way Zu does (and that I think AM has too)
OfA is like every other quirk ever: neither good nor bad. It’s a biological trait and tool, it lacks morality in and of itself.
Well, except that it’s sort of sentient, but the Ghosts are something between ‘sapient’ and ‘sentient’ and they also... aren’t the quirk in its whole. the super strength isn’t tied to them as much as their time holding it, and plenty of users have had the quirk without interacting with the Ghosts anyway.
Sort of like the Force, really. Funny how that ties together.
I agree that the Purpose the quirk is definitely to “stop afo”. I have two theories on why two of the users are in shadows- 1, that they do not approve of Izuku (or of the quirk continuing being passed on when they thought the Purpose was solved by All Might six years prior,) or 2- that they were villains, and are shunned by the other Ghosts that leaned more heroic in the one part of the quirk that the vestiges really have much control over. I mean, with nine users, what’s the chance that *every single time* the holder was a hero, really.

I just realized how much the world of TLWA lucked out with Izuku still deciding to become a Pro Hero. The world would not have been able to handle this small, feral child being a Vigilante.
Since Im being a bad girl and considering writing another installment in TLWA saga I can confirm. If Rise Up was about Izuku coming to grips with his grief and importance in the world, this next one would focus on his relationship with Bakugou which therefore makes him 200% more chaotic and reckless. Somewhere, Iida is weeping.

Sum Rat coon for ya
Okay so because the author in me doesn't know how to fucking chill for thirty minutes have half a novel I guess, but summed up in Crackhead.
So pretty much for some context on this AU, Izuku "Rat coon" Midoriya is a quirkless villain for funzies. 100% he's gay for Bk, and steals his shit because he's just a bastard rat man who lives in a shwanky run down van hidden in the middle of a pile of garbage. Also bc he wants to see how long it takes for Bakugou to notice his shit is missing, and he wants something that smells like the crush. 200% feral man. Outruns Aizawa and Police many times until Aizawa finally captures him and he becomes Nedzu's pet project(consensually, it was doing a stupid rehab program or going to jail. He wasn't going to jail any time soon.)
First day with Rat coon in class
Aizawa:Hello class, listen up, Nedzu has a new pet project and decided that I didn't have enough of you little shits to look after so meet your new "classmate". Problem child you can come in now.
Izuku: Just kinda fucking, strides into the room???? Not even five minutes in and his uniform is in shambles, tie is tied like a noose, shirt sleeves are rolled up to elbows, jacket tied around waist, pant leg cuffs covering the heels of his shoes, his face is covered in piercings, he has a nose ring, an eyebrow split in three places with two rings in it, an eyebrow with one piercing in it, top and bottom snake bites, uneven earrings in his ears. Iida has a brain aneurysm. Bakugou just stops entirely, this is the kid that he grew up with, he looks like he doesn't want to be here, this isn't the same hero loving boy he remembered.
Izuku: I'm Izuku Midoriya, but you can call me Rat coon. I'm a villain, or was a villain? The details on that are a little unclear. I'm Nedzu's little pet project, and let me make this clear, I'm quirkless and would rather die than be a hero, but it was this or dropping the soap on the first day for fun. No you may not ask me any questions, yes i have self preservation skills I just choose to ignore them, if you even think for a minute that what you're asking me to do is a joke I will do it. I once tried to jump off a roof to kill myself upon the instructions of one of your lovely classmates and failed, I hit a tree and broke four ribs.
Bakugou:
Izuku:
Bakugou: You did... what?!
Izuku: Oh, hey Kacchan! Yeah, I tried to die and instead hit the dumpster like the quirkless idiot I am. Trust me, I stopped wanting to be a hero a very long time ago, I was just tired of everything. Fun fact, my ribs did heal but somewhat crooked and I'm pretty sure one is still floating around. Whoops, oh well.
Bakugou:
Izuku:
Bakugou: Why didn't you go to the fucking hospital!
Izuku: YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE! *proceeds to jump over the podium, roll through the open door way, and leap over a railing to the bottom floor*
Aizawa: I don't get paid enough for this
That was the day class 1-a had the assignment of catching the batshit wild hooligan running around. What they thought was an easy assignment took all of them trying to corner Izuku the class periods of training for the next two weeks(Aizawa knew where his favorite type of spots to hide were, so he'd retrieve him for lunch and other classes)
~~~
Izuku: *eating some volatile concoction of moldy food drowned in random condiments*
Aizawa: You know you can eat something more edible, right?
Izuku: W-what? ???????? But this is edible??
~~~
Kirishima: Oh hey Midoriya, want to help us mess with Bakugou?
Izuku:
Kaminari:
Kirishima:
Izuku: Bold of you to assume I would even say no.
~~~
Stop Light Trio: (Midoriya, Kaminari, Kirishima) *cover Bakugou's furniture in toilet paper, fill his closet with glitter, hide fish in the vents(courtesy of Midoriya)*
