What is funnier for Grandpa Torino:
Izuku cheerfully going to a gala to meet heroes and then biting Endeavour when he’s mean to Shouto, forming a tight bond.
Or.
Izuku imprinting like a baby duck on Present Mic cause he’s so tall and pretty. Baby crush Izuku following him around much to his amusement.

Grandpa Torino X Valiant: While Torino was arranging for a “talk” with Aizawa after he expelled his grandkid for Quirklessness reasons, he set Izuku up with a couple of vigilante friends to make sure that having a week off of classes isn’t a waste of Izuku’s valuable learning time.

Torino should've been a happy grandpa in the Shimura household with both Tenko and Hana on his lap listening as he tells them about Nana.
I’d go a step further and have Nana swan into the scene so she can bully Sorahiko about finally letting his sweet side shine in his old age, and to Hana and Tenko, they are definitively the Cool Grandparents (tm) because despite the ground rules of Kotaro’s house being Off-Limits to roughhousing, Sorahiko has zero qualms about scooting his grandchildren off his lap and tackling his partner (more recently, wife) of many years.
#bnha#nanahiko#shih.txt#asks#anon#idk. i have conflicting feelings about domesticated torino#the shimura grandkids for sure could have mellowed that old man out#but the journey to happy grandpa torino without grandma nana...#this assumes he's dealt with kotarou's mommy issues#this assumes he's free to talk about nana and being a hero#the latter subjects he's not even comfortable talking to IZUKU about

The Big News(Toshinori Yagi x Fem!Reader)
warnings: fluff, slight angst, mentions of pregnancy, tears, mentions of Toshinori's mentor, Younger!Toshinori, Gran Torino being such a grandpa word count: 1.2k pairings: Toshinori Yagi x Fem!Reader summary: You just received the news that you're pregnant! You're alone and scared, so you decide to head to Gran Torino's place to get some advice from him. It's not long before Toshinori arrives and you have no choice but to tell him that he's going to be a father a/n: dividers by @adornedwithlight
Your stomach was in knots. You didn’t know what to do at this very moment. With the news from the doctor, you knew you had to go talk to someone. But with Toshinori out on patrol at the moment and with most of your other family not living in the city with you, you weren’t even sure who you could go to. You desperately need a friend right now.
The thought just popped into your mind. You could go to his home. He would be so welcoming to you. You make your way to the old man’s place, knowing that you could breathe a little easier about everything that’s happened today when you get there. The man in question would know what to do and how to console you.
When Gran Torino opens the door, you sigh a breath of relief. He smiles when he sees you, inviting you inside his apartment. You always felt at ease with him. Ever since Toshinori introduced you to his sensei, you and Sorahiko bonded quite well. He saw you almost like a daughter, someone who was good for his student. Sorahiko knew that you’d be a good partner for Toshinori, even from the moment he first met you.
“Well well, where’s the blond? Too scared to come visit me?” Gran Torino asks as he guides you to the couch.
You sit down and shake your head. “No, I came on my own today.”
Sorahiko is quick to notice how you seem so nervous. He sees you fidgeting. Are those…are those tears in your eyes? He places his hand on your knee and gives it a little squeeze. He hates seeing you in distress.
“Are you in trouble?” he finally asks.
You take a deep breath. “I need your advice.”
There’s a moment of silence before he looks at you carefully. You’ve got such a fearful look on your face. The tears in your eyes are threatening to spill over. He thinks he already knows what you’re going to say, so he nods and tells you that you can ask him about anything.
“I need you to tell me how…how I can…”
The words keep getting stuck in your throat. Sorahiko knows what’s coming next. He can feel it in every breath you take, every time you shudder from the tears that are now rolling down your cheeks.
“How do I tell Toshi he’s going to be a father?”
There it was. The bomb you decided to drop. But in reality, you didn’t see how much of a blessing that is. The old man laughs softly, and then he gives you a tissue to wipe away those tears.
“Come now, there’s nothing to cry about.” His words soothe you.
You sniffle as you wipe your tears away. “You don’t think he will want to leave me?”
“No! That’s nonsense. I know him better than most. Toshinori will never run away from responsibility. And he most definitely would not abandon the one he loves.”
The words seem to soothe you a little more. Gran Torino laughs again, and he gives your shoulder a little shake. You smile through your tears and he begins to feel a little better about this.
“Have you told Toshinori? I’m going to guess that you haven’t.”
You sigh. “No, I just got the news from the doctor. I came here after because I thought I was going to have a meltdown.”
The old man hums, then you hear the beep of the microwave. You laugh softly as he tries to offer you some of his taiyaki. You take one and slowly nibble on it; your stomach was still in knots.
“You’re going to need to tell him as soon as possible. He’s probably still on patrol, yeah?”
As soon as you nod your head, you both hear a knock at the door. Then you hear Toshinori’s cheerful voice announcing his arrival.
“I am here!”
Sorahiko answers the door, scolding your blond lover a little bit for being so corny. Then when Toshinori enters, he smiles widely when he sees you. But that smile falters when he notices how you don’t seem to be too happy.
“What’s the matter, darling?” Toshinori asks as he sits next to you.
You try to say the words, but it becomes a lump in your throat once more. Toshinori looks at Gran Torino; he’s at a loss for words. Sorahiko takes this time to give you two just a little space. He knows you’ll be able to tell Toshinori what’s going on.
“Sweetheart,” Toshinori begins. “A-are you alright? W-why are you crying?”
You shake your head. Him asking you about your tears only causes you to cry even more. He feels the anxiety building up inside of him. Tears sting his eyes. You must want to break things off with him. That’s the only thing that’s running in his mind right now.
“D-do…do you want to end our relationship?!”
This causes you to break down fully. You begin to sob as fat tears roll down your cheeks. Sorahiko is quick to come over and to hand you some more tissues. In the meantime, he shoots Toshinori a very dirty look.
“Do you have any tact, boy?”
Toshinori frowns, “I-I didn’t mean to! I mean…I got scared!”
Sorahiko rubs your back slowly, telling you to take deep breaths. As soon as you get calmed down, you turn to Toshinori. With a nod from Gran Torino, you finally gain the courage to tell your lover what he deserves to know.
“Toshinori, I have something to tell you. It’s important.”
He nods, “Please. I am here to listen.”
You feel his hand on your cheek, gently caressing and wiping away the tears there. You smile sweetly, pressing a kiss to the palm of his hand. The action itself causes him to shudder.
“Toshinori, we’re going to be parents.” You watch as he processes the information. “I’m pregnant.”
It’s a few more seconds of silence before he smiles happily again. You can see tears in his eyes again; these are tears of pure joy this time.
“Really?!” He asks, bewildered in the best way possible. “A baby?! Me and you?!”
You nod. “Yeah, we’re having a baby.”
Without another word, Toshinori picks you up in his arms and pulls you into a tight hug. He’s crying again, and he’s whispering to you how much he loves you and how much he’s going to love you forever. He’s so happy, he doesn’t even understand it. He presses kiss all over your face.
“Settle down, boy! She’s pregnant.” Gran Torino chastises him, but he’s very happy to see you both excited.
Toshinori sits you on his lap, rubbing your back and playing with your hair. He’s asking you so many questions. The whole time he’s got this cute grin on his face, unable to wipe it away.
“I was thinking, if it’s a little girl…we can name her Nana.” You suggest, watching as Toshinori’s reaction changes.
He tears up again. “Oh sweetheart, that would be…that would be wonderful.” He sniffles. “What if it’s a boy?”
You look at Gran Torino. “Simple! We’ll name him Sorahiko.”
Gran Torino chokes on his coffee. He looks at you, a little red in the face. He’s trying to talk you out of it, but you shake your head.
“I’d like to name our baby after their grandfather or grandmother.” You finally settle on this.
Both men are melting at this sweet show of affection. Safe to say, you and your baby are in good hands.

"[...]Grandpa Liebgott was [...]really quiet. Yet when he was around us, he was always laughing quietly.” Rhonda described him this way: “His hands looked like a man who worked with his hands, sunspots all over. He absolutely loved his grandkids. He had false teeth that he flipped out of his mouth and smiled, threatening to kiss us with his gums. He was a tickler. He never held babies over his shoulder, but always forward in a sitting position, facing out against his stomach, because he wanted them to be able to see everything. As grandkids, he always made us laugh, and there was never any real discipline going on when Grandpa was with us. Sometimes he took us shopping for the whole day. He didn’t have a lot of money—I’m pretty sure all he had was his veteran’s benefits, but there was this idea as a kid that Grandpa always had money.”
[...]"Biggot is a strong word," Rhonda said , "but if there was a stronger word, Grandpa would have been it. He threw around the N-word like it was nothing. He watched the news a lot and blamed whatever went wrong in the country on various ethnic groups. When I started dating, I dated this guy from El Salvador. Oh my gosh, my grandpa just threw a fit. ‘Does he even speak English?’ he growled. If you’ve ever seen the Clint Eastwood movie Gran Torino, that’s how my grandpa was.”
[...]How would the family want Joe Liebgott remembered? “He was an honorable man and a good father,” Jim said. “He always took care of his family, and his family always came first.” “I know he lived for us,” Rhonda said. “Whenever we were around, we had his full attention.”

A thought came to mind when I saw this ask about Gran Torino's height. You know how everything in BNHA is from Izuku's narration, as he is the one telling the story from a point in the future? What if the Gran Torino we see is distorted by Izuku's teenage mind seeing someone old so immediately translating him as a frail grandpa.
(Imagine, Pocket... Maybe he does look like his prime self...)
now THATS a creative way to do an unreliable narrator kjhghjkkj can you IMAGINE if all of the weird inconsistences with appearances are just due to being from Izuku's pov? "How did Gran shrink so much?" he didn't, izuku just first saw him as a very old man who seemed to be lying dead in his own blood, then pulled a prank, feigned demensia, and acted generally like a gremlin for the next three days. OF COURSE izuku's gonna be like 'ah, tiny grandpa' even if he's like, maybe as short as izuku when hunched. RG just looks small because of the enormity of ofa first appearing and the rubble around her, then because izuku is used to seeing her next to All Might, who looks giant in comparison. Giran's height is really inconsistent? because izuku's never actually met him and is relaying that info to us secondhand. AfO makes Second look tiny, even though when izuku sees him in ofa space he's not far off third's height? because Izuku's first encounter with AfO was of a terrifying giant who could outpower All Might, and just gets to look bigger than reality after that point on.
#i wonder what else it could mean like#does tomura have more physical traits in comon with Nana that izuku doesn't notice#because he didn't know what nana looked like until long after#so we barely see a bit of the similariites instead of all of them#does dabi look so obviously like a todoroki before the reveal because izukus just like 'oh it was so clear in hindsight' as hes telling it#gentrychild#pocket talks to people

Big Wide World
Chapter One - I'm All In
All Might's daughter chooses to work beside him for the first year's work study week. Things can never seem to go right for either of his kids.
Word Count - 2036
-image not mine-
I wandered the halls, heading for the teacher’s lounge.
Why? I could always ask him about it tonight over dinner.
I didn’t actually expect to find him, but I turned a corner and there he was, with Izuku. Or rather, he was saying goodbye to Izuku. Broccoli past me with a smile, then passed a concerned glance behind him at my dad.
I followed his gaze, and noticed two things. One, he was hunched. Two, he was sweating. Nervous sweating. He only did this for one thing, one person.
“What did Grandpa say?”
He let out a sigh, slipping from his All Might form as he did. “He agreed.”
I laughed. 220cm of muscle and he was scared of an old man.
True, said old man could kick both our asses with his eyes closed, but it was funny watching my larger-than-life father become a teenager again.
Gran Torino reduced my father, and I was his beloved granddaughter. He had spoilt me endlessly in my youth, my father too afraid to say anything.
I should go visit him again soon. I hadn’t seen him since my first week at U.A, him rushing to the hospital to check on me after the attack at USJ.
He hadn’t even given my father a glance, his focus solely on me. He was all I had in the form of grandparents from my father’s side, his parents dying during his youth.
It would be interesting getting the stories from Izuku of what Grandpa had him doing.
Which was why I had been looking for my dad, the innocent sheet of paper in my hand burning my skin like sand paper.
I looked down at it, glared at the names present. Double sided actually.
“What’s that?” Dad asked, pushing off the wall. Was it really safe for him to be in this form while still in his uniform?
“Agencies who scouted me after the Sport’s Festival.”
I handed him the paper after he silently held out his hand in request. He scanned over the names, then turned the pages and read those. 213 agencies had sent the offer.
“This is impressive.” he murmured, handing the paper back to me.
I scoffed. “Yeah, if any of them were after me because of the skills I showed.”
It was true. All the offers, none of them were for me. They were for the name.
I saw my father look over at me, then he sighed. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have had Mic announce it so soon.”
I looked over at him, his guilt frown lines showing.
“No. I want people to know I’m yours.” I sighed this time, moving to lean beside him on the wall. “I knew it would happen. The criticism, the expectation, the… the popularity.”
As it was, I suddenly had second and third years greeting me in the halls like we were old friends. All to get to my father, hoping that if they become friends with me, my father will see their potential and give them a start in life.
Not to mention all the boys who were now getting close, the title of dating All Might’s daughter tempting.
At least no one in class was looking at me differently.
All these agencies, it was just the hopes of boosting their own scores by having All Might’s kid on their squad.
I didn’t regret my decision, but if I had known we would be doing work studies so early, I would have asked to hold the reveal to not be at the freaking Sports Festival.
Dad bumped his elbow into my shoulder, and I looked up at him.
“Who you going to?” He asked, jerking his chin to the paper in my hands.
“That’s what I need you for.” I looked over the names again.
He knew these people, had worked beside them. He knew who would help me best, and who wouldn’t be a good fit. Sure, Mr. Aizawa had said the teachers had gone through the offers, removed ones they didn’t believe would work. That still left 213 to choose from.
My eyes jumped back to the first agency on the list.
“I know what my answer would be if you weren’t teaching.”
I felt him hum beside me.
“I mean, getting to patrol beside you has been a dream since I was tiny.” I pushed off the wall, pacing before him. “Us together, on the streets. Finding the bad guys. Learning from you on the scene, not just through stories. We could fight side by side.”
“Then I guess it’s a good thing I’m not teaching that week.”
My heart jumped, hope flickering in my chest.
“What?” I turned to him.
He smiled unsurely, watching me. “There’s no point being here if none of you are. And…” he trailed off, looking down at himself. “I don’t know how much longer I will be able to be All Might.”
He was right, and while that should have been saddening, all I could think about was saying we could patrol together.
“You’re serious?”
If he joking right now I’d hit him. He couldn’t be fucking around about something I had been dreaming of since I was 5.
He looked at me and smiled. “Of course.”
I jumped forward, used my stars to step up as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
“Thank you thank you thank you.” I squealed.
----
“Y/n.” he spoke softly, reaching down to gently nudge your shoulder.
You groaned, burying your face into your pillow.
“Come on Kiddo. You gotta start getting ready.”
You whined again, rolling over and facing away from your father.
He smiled, amused by your antics.
“Don’t make me do it.” he warned in a sing-song tone, hands reaching evilly beneath the duvet.
“Noo…” you groaned, weakly wiggling away from him.
He wouldn’t have to do this if you hadn’t slept through your alarm.
Not that he was complaining. It had been a while since he’d had the chance to wake you up.
It had always been so fun when you were a child, you pretending to be asleep just so he would do it.
Damn moody teenagers.
His fingers found their mark, reaching quickly to snap around your ankles before you could pull away.
“Daddy.” you wailed, muffled by the pillow as you halfheartedly tried to free yourself, half your mind still in sleep mode.
“You leave me no choice.” he concluded.
Swelling into his muscle form, your father tugged.
You yelped, then cursed.
Snatching you from the bed, your father gripped your ankles, holding you upside down.
“Good morning, My Starlight!” he cheered out, smiling down at you.
“Fuck off.” you moaned, closing your eyes again.
He didn’t doubt your ability to fall asleep like this. “Such foul language!” he chastised, no threat in the words.
“Learned from you.” you mumbled back.
Technically you had learned from your mother that particular word, but the Japanese version of it, yes that was him.
“I hope you won’t using it on patrol today.” he added, still holding you up.
You let out an annoyed hum, and he waited.
There was the frown.
“Patrol?” you opened your eyes, and looked up at him.
He saw your eyes blink, your mind trying to catch up with what he was meaning.
Then, the stars in your eyes lit up.
“I’m your sidekick!” you remembered, beaming up at him.
Sidekick, not so much. Student joining him for the student work studies program for the week, yes.
He lowered you back onto your bed, which you promptly jumped off of and hugged him.
You smiled up at him, bright and happy. “I’m your sidekick. You’re stuck with me. You gotta put up with me, all daaaayyyy.” you sang.
“I don’t accept tardiness from my sidekicks.” he added.
You looked at the clock beside your bed. “Oh crap!”
Releasing your father, you rushed into the bathroom connecting to your bedroom.
Students who were placed with heroes far from their homes were supposed to be provided with accommodation by the heroes they were working with.
Toshinori had moved to be closer to Izuku and U.A last year, finding a small two-bedroom place that would be unassuming. Now, you both being needed at Might Tower, he’d moved back his old apartment. A large penthouse in Minato.
He’d always hated staying here when you weren’t home, the place too large for only him. Now, though he hated thinking it because what kind of parent does, he wished it was just a little bit bigger so he could get a break from you.
And the apartment in Musufatu? Even smaller.
He loved you more than anything, and the constant noise of you just being you was the best sound there was.
But there were times when the silence he had known for so long was missed, just a bit.
Your father busied himself with opening your curtains, letting the rising sun light your room, and laying out your hero suit on your bed which he made as you showered.
Then, he set about preparing you breakfast, and making you both lunch.
Was he spoiling you? Yes.
Was this whole thing about you learning to fend for yourself in the real world of heroism? Yes.
But you were his little baby, his Little One.
He never got to be this domestic, to make you lunch for school, wake you for school, rush through the morning routine.
You were smart, and already so independent. He knew you would be ok by yourself. You were already growing so fast, starting to do work studies, had a hero name picked out (It was a no brainer, you were his Starlight).
Just let him have these few moments to be a dad still.
You came into the kitchen just as he finished your bento, sitting to eat breakfast quickly.
Meal finished, dishes were left for when you got home and then you were pulling on your hero boots alongside him.
“It is ok to be nervous?” you spoke, pulling on your second boot.
He laughed, the sound a lot softer when in his true form. “Of course you can be nervous.”
“But I’m supposed to be brave.” you defended your reasoning.
“Brave isn’t the absence of fear. It’s overcoming it.”
“Ok Mufasa.”
He frowned mockingly, nudging you lightly. “You can be nervous.”
You were silent for a moment.
“What is it?”
“I don’t know if I’m more scared about embarrassing you, or being an embarrassment to you.”
He laughed, which he kind of felt bad for. He really shouldn’t have laughed, you were being serious. This was something serious that was bothering you, but it was honestly quite ridiculous.
You, embarrass him? Be an embarrassment? He hadn’t been more proud of you yet.
Every day he grew more and more proud of you. Even when you spent the entire day in bed, he was proud of you.
Getting to stand beside you on the streets, hero and trainee, father and daughter, that made him unbelievably proud.
Today was the best day of this life, and you were worried about letting him down. His silly little girl.
“Look at me.”
You did, finally stopping retying your boot 3 times over.
“You’ve got this. I’m proud of you already.”
You smiled at him, but he could see in your eyes it hadn’t helped any. You were still nervous. You were still doubting yourself.
He sighed. There wasn’t anything he could do to take this away. His words could only do so much, his hugs only able to squeeze so tight. What was inside your mind he could not take away.
All he could do was prove you wrong. And in order to do that, he needed to get you out the door.
Kneeling down, he took your shoe strings into his hands and neatly tied a double knot.
“You aren’t going out there alone.” he reminded, standing and swelled up to his hero form. “So, let’s go out there and do our best!”
You rolled your eyes, but couldn’t fight the genuine smile as you stood too. “So cheesy.” All Might laughed, and opened the door. It was time to show the world his Starlight.

Crack au where everything is the same but Tsukauchi, Yagi, Hisashi, and Inko are all married
They’ve been married before Izuku was born and honestly this just means that Izuku has 3 dads and a mom. He’s going to learn so much out-of-pocket things and so much things about the criminal justice system and heroics. It’s great.
Izuku is going to learn about heroics, police work, the law, and finance. He’s going to learn so much and he’s going to be such a bean.
This also means that Bakugou is going to go and know immediately that Yagi is All Might. Yeah it’s supposed to be a secret but Kacchan is Izuku’s best friend! They can both keep a secret.
Naturally, this leads to Bakugou now doubling down on becoming Number 1 with the added bonus of his second dream being to beat up the Number 1 Hero
Other things include:
-Izuku and Melissa Shield meeting each other because of Yagi taking him to visit David and the two of them becoming best friends almost immediately. It’s great and from then on they regularly video call each other and Izuku always comes to Yagi’s visits to David
-Good parents Hisashi, Inko, Naomasa, and Toshinori that’s important. That’s very important.
-Bakugou constantly talking shit about All Might and saying that he’s an average hero. He eats dinner with the Midoriya family every day.
-Actually just go and take all of Bakugou’s energy on bullying Midoriya and put that on Yagi. Bakugou’s new target is to take the spot of Izuku’s Hero Dad and make sure that he fucking retires early because Bakugou. That old man better watch his back because every time that man stops Bakugou is getting closer.
-Sir Nighteye being that weird uncle that you kind of just have around. He gets better but for a while Izuku and Katsuki told him that his vibes are terrible and to get out of their house
-Gran Torino being that Grandpa that would go and let you do all the irresponsible shit. He keeps the kids safe but boy oh boy there has been several instances of a heart attack
-Midoriya Inko being a kid of All For One, a result of a One-Night Stand. She cut contact with him a while ago don’t worry. She would go and rip out one of his glands with her Quirk if he ever contacts her again
-Now please imagine All For One finding out that the All Might, the Detective that helped All Might, and the the most Average Man in exsitance all are married to his Daughter.
-Shinsou Hitoshi also being a kid of All For One, this time on purpose. Don’t worry he runs away and meets Tsukauchi. In fact you can read a fic about it here. (Many Kudos to Mod Boreal and their Writing.)
-Izuku still getting One For All not because of the fact he’s All For One’s Grand Kid but because he display qualities of being truly heroic. He wants to be a hero and wants to save as many people as he can, no matter the cost
-No one in the class knowing who Izuku’s dads are and thinking it’s just Inko
-Naturally, Katsuki’s goes and spreads rumors that Izuku’s dads are in America for “work”. Izuku is screaming inside because that actually is correct. Hisashi is in America for work but not Naomasa and Toshinori!
-Izuku says this but he starts calling Toshinori “dad” whenever he can. The man coughs up blood every time Izuku says it
-In the corner, Todoroki Shouto starts making conspiracy theory boards.

Okay for a new au we could have Izuku having Nana's quirk! Like AFO tries to take it, but it disappears because a little boy who was about to be born was going to need a quirk.
Stealing this concept but editorializing a fair bit because I read the first line and instantly had an idea - Shimura!Izuku, the only survivor of Tenko's quirk manifestation other than Tenko himself. He's all but a newborn, found near death 2 days later and rushed to the hospital with no surviving relatives. It's Gran Torino who gets contacted - Gran in still listed as an emergency contact on some very old paperwork of Kotaro's that should have been destroyed years ago.
He really, really shouldn't take Izuku in. He's in his late 50s and Izuku is barely 2 months old. There's no guarantee he'll even live to see the boy's high school graduation. But - but this is the only piece of Nana he can have, after he chased off her son successor with the brutal training he needed to live. Little Izuku is just as alone as he is.
He's granted custody quickly - the closest thing to next of kin the boy has and a hero to boot.
Izuku grows up not knowing much of his direct family, but hearing countless stories of his grandma and his Uncle Yagi. He grows up loved, strong and kind of snarky, with a quirk that should have been weak but one he trained with his grandpa to be a forced to be reckoned with.

I would like 5 headcanons about the Scarlet Thief verse, my beloved AU.
Granny Akatani absolutely adores Mirio and Melissa when they arrive at her home with Gran Torino. She makes sure they are all well fed and rested, though she is concerned when she sees more white is spreading through Mirio's hair and his body has a few crack-like scars.
Eri loves Grandpa Torino the most out of everyone, especially since he teaches her a lot of fun tricks and pranks to play.
Inko does not know how to talk to her father when she finally meets him. For most of his time in Singapore, she would continue to avoid him because she wonders if he would be ashamed of her for a lot of her life choices. She's also scared to hear why he even left her with his mother, because a part of her suspects it's because he didn't want a child but had one forced on him anyway.
During Izuku's travels around the world, he will eventually come to find a few allies, especially in Vigilante Circles who recognize that he did not mean to pull the trigger on All Might at Kamino. Especially when they see the legitimate look of guilt on his face when he gets reminded of his biggest sin in life.
The MLA breaks Tomura out of prison.

… in the Grandpa Torino AU, Izuku 100% calls All Might ‘Weak Man’ as a kid cause he keeps beating the guy up. And like yeah it’s mostly the man letting him but holy shit is this kid Feral as fuck. Gran loves it and records everything.
He’s moved in with his daughter after her husband fucked off (and Gran tracked him down to kick his ass) and he loves it. It’s how he gets All Might to babysit so much being on site. Inko finds it funny, and goes about her day as normal.
All Might who once had a bite that took three weeks to heal from Izuku knows that kid is going to be a hero one day. He’s kind of proud and feels a bit of vindication. A Quirkless hero. Finally.
Inko did worry about it for like five seconds then found her dad teaching Izuku where to but to cause maximum pain. She decided her son would make it.
#grandpa Torino#he’s a good grandpa#Izuku is 200% more feral#I want Inko to be wooed by a hero#not sure who#not all might#it’s funnier if it isn’t him#he’s her weird sort of brother who gets beat up by her son#Bakugou and Izuku aren’t friends#cause Torino doesn’t put up with the Deku stuff#bnha#bnha au#midoriya izuku#gran Torino

Grandpa Torino X Maybe I’m Perfect X Expelled:
Izuku: have you ever met Gran Torino?
Aizawa, confused: …no?
Izuku: you mean not yet.
All Might, in the background: *nervous sweating*
Gran Torino is rapidly approaching your position

Would old man Sorahiko wear a foxy grandpa shirt?
alternatively, because all might must have gotten his terrible fashion sense from someone, gran torino wears those obnoxiously floral print shirts. like that texting meme with the dad going "DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH, TAKING YOUR MOTHER TO CHILI'S TONIGHT"

sigh. sigh. is it rewatch time.
(yes)
Yk now I can cry over it but I swear when I first watched it, deku crying to inko pointing to the all might video……he looked so much like mineta I could never cry at it
I will say the one thing I feel bad for bakugo about is the fact that he quite literally had no one to talk to about the huge block keeping him back, the fact that deku WAS QUIRKLESS. He really had to keep that all to himself until it all came apart at DvK2…….hmmmm. Like he really just had to take “this quirk was given to me” as an answer and go on like nothing happened. I mean he did say fuck it that it doesn’t change things for him but like ehhh. Even after all that. At the end of every roadblock it all came back to ‘how the fuck did he get a quirk.’ hm.
like he fr just said "fuck you i'm over it" ... i must say he did an excellent job of fooling everyone into thinking he's some brainless guy who doesn't care, bro does not EVER forget a SINGLE detail... motherfucker said "oh whatever you just beat me today that's all it was" acting like the rest didn't matter to him and here he comes up months later FUCK!!!!!!
"fortunately he didn't take it seriously" yeah you THOUGHT
dekus world getting rocked by the fact that bkg can get teased is SO FUCKIGN FUNNYYYYYY
kamimomojirou since day ONE BABEEYEYYY
dear lord i got to season 2 all might's letter to gran torino thinking about. like after the public has found out about ofa omfg could you imagine stephanie soo type conspiracy mukbang videos being made after LMFAO "and here's where it gets even CRAZIER the letter they found right? that was to his master in high school? so the previous user's child was shigaraki's grandma but his GRANDPA was the GUY IN THE LETTER"
todoroki was so damn dramatic gotdamn. literally unwarranted
forgot for a second how fucking funny tetsutetsu being there is RIGHT WHERE IT HURTS
sometimes i wonder if that part was just lazily written or what cause if I saw a landmine like that my FIRST thought is how do I use this as a rocket ...
bkg peeping in on the endeavor talk will never not be funny esp knowing how he is in s5, likeHHEUQUZUFHJE ‘this was the wrong convo i shouldn’t have come here i shouldn’t have come here’
I will always love the detail of bkg giving ocha back the charred jacket :[ do i care for kcchk? not much but gotdamn … gotta love those two … also it’s the fact that bkg even went “yea I know ur friends w fucking deku” HE’S SO ANNOYED AT THEM HAJSHIFHAJAHAA
when todoroki was trauma dumping and bakugo said “but Actually though WHO CARES” he was so real for that
not to be dramatic but wow i started bawling at todoiida again. like what the fuck you’re telling me todoroki who has literally not made a single connection to anyone in his class saw the pain that iida was in that even iida’s own friends at the time couldn’t tap into.
man … when deku was tryna understand how to be less stiff with ofa he thought of bkgs moves … sighhh sighhghggghhhh
the real question is what kind of microwave doesn’t fucking turn. the biggest epiphany for deku that took a season and a half was from seeing how a normal microwave works.
(At the time of this, chapter 385 has been released) rewatching stain arc rn is CRAAAZYYYY
back to todoiida like the opening bro the fact that deku is turning around to check on iida whereas todoroki had his eyes fixed on him the whole time HE KNEW FROM THE STAAAAART

Unfortunately I can't think of any ideas worth sharing right now, but I do have a fic rec about All Might adopting nine year old Izuku after his fight with All for One. It's DfO, but I don't think they actually interact in it. There's also some very good Grandpa Torino and a nice Gang Orca scene in it. The fic is called Exchange by Gentrychild.
I will give it a look some time, thanks
