You bounced around, clearly excited. It would be your boyfriend's first time going trick-or-treating and it would be with you.

The October air had a chill to it, carrying the scent of fallen leaves and distant bonfires. You adjusted your fairy costume and turned to look at Toya, who was standing beside you, staring down at his bag like it was some foreign artifact. His prince costume seemed a little heavy on him.

“Toya, are you nervous?” you teased, grinning. You could tell he was a little out of his element, but there was something adorable about seeing him this way—almost bashful in his costume.

“…Maybe a little.” He glanced at the line of houses down the street, each with its own decorations, from cobwebs draping bushes to pumpkins grinning from porches. “I’ve never done this before. It feels… odd.”

“Odd? C’mon, Toya, it’s the easiest thing in the world! All you do is walk up, knock, say ‘Trick or treat!’ and get candy.” You demonstrated with exaggerated gestures, hoping to break through his serious demeanor.

He chuckled softly, brushing a bit of his cape back. “You make it sound so simple.”

“It is that simple!” you reassured, nudging him playfully. “Besides, I’m here to show you how it’s done. You’re gonna be a pro by the end of the night.”

You led him toward the first house, showing him how to hold his bag out and flash his most convincing smile (not that he needed convincing, he was already so charming). When the door opened, Toya paused for a moment, glancing over at you as if to ask, Am I doing this right? You gave him a thumbs-up, and he stammered out a soft, “Trick or treat.”

To his surprise, the homeowner grinned and dropped a handful of candy into his bag. Toya looked down, almost bewildered at the small pile of sweets.

“See?” you said, beaming. “Not so hard, right?”

He nodded, a small, contented smile sneaking onto his face. “It’s… actually pretty nice.”

The two of you continued down the street, collecting treats and laughing over the costumes of other trick-or-treaters. Toya was steadily getting the hang of it, even adding his own little twist, bowing politely after each house.

As the night went on, he turned to you, his eyes reflecting the excitement of the evening. “Thank you. This is… more fun than I expected.”

You smiled, your heart warming at how happy he looked. “Anytime, Toya. Who knew Halloween could be this magical, huh?”

He nodded, his gaze lingering on you. “Maybe it’s because of the person I’m spending it with.”

Your cheeks warmed, but before you could respond, he held out a piece of candy from his stash—a sweet, simple gesture that felt like the perfect treat to end the night.

Babygirl I'm so sorry.... okay listen. Saki's voice is actually nice to me! I like it, it's sweet and jubilant to me. Makes me happy. But saki simply doesn't have as... good..? Of a voice as the other characters, that coupled with the fact that she's in a unit with ichika (the line stealer/lh) she doesn't get many moments to shine, and she hasn't has any particularly impressive moments to me. I'm sorry bbg I love you 😔

19. Mochizuki Honami

Once again, HONAMI BBG IM SO SORRY 😔 honami's voice is very soft, and while that isn't bad at all, it's personally not my style :( however I also must add that when honami is good, she is AMAZING, and when she's less good, she usually isn't the focus of the song so it doesn't really matter. Honami shows up when it counts

18. Tsukasa Tenma

This hurts. Listen. Tsukasa is EXTREMELY inconsistent with his vocal quality. Sometimes, listening to him sing gives me second hand embarrassment. Other times he serves so much cunt it makes me forget his slumps at times. This means that sometimes his vocals suck ASS and other times they're amazing. Which averages out to a much lower score than the others above him 😔 also since he's tsukasa his voice is incredibly defined and like... nasally..? Which sometimes is a detriment. Still love you tsukasa

Best Vocal Performance: NEO

17: Emu Otori

Emu has a lot of the problems that Tsukasa has but what she has over him is consistency and a cuter voice. Her voice is like. Really squeaky and cute which makes any song that's not that kinda awkward but her voice is PEAK when it fits the song she's singing. She has a niche and whe she fills it she's amazing.

Best Vocal Performance: Mr. Showtime

16. Yoisaki Kanade

Kanade's voice sounds like heaven sometimes. Its soft and melancholy and beautiful and very consistent. She doesn't ever have a bad vocal performance. But you know what she DOES have? Songs that don't fit her voice at all! kanade is extremely soft spoken and her voice usually doesn't sound weak like honami can, but she simply cannot belt to save her life. Songs like Bug, Kitty, Infinitely Gray, exemplify that so strongly it's actually crazy. Kanade didn't even get another vocal for bug and I think that was the reason, she simply cannot go higher than her soft voice, which is a HUGE restriction on her otherwise wonderful voice. Her voice is still really nice though

15. Mafuyu Asahina

Mafuyu has inconsistent vocals. The thing puts her above other inconsistent singers like Tsukasa, is that her highs are HIGH. When mafuyu goes hard, she fucking decimates. When she doesn't it's mid as fuck 😔 her voice can be really soft at times, which as we know, is not my thing, but she almost weaponizes that by making her belts all the more harsher. You don't expect that from Mafuyu! She's generally either "soft spoken" or apathetic when she's singing! Then she's fucking yelling and you're like "wtf I didn't expect this!" Not only is it fun from a vocal standpoint but it's amazing character acting! Her singing represents her psyche and I think that's wonderful. The only reason why she's so low is because of the inconsistency in some songs

Best Vocal Performance: Bug and Villian

14. Minori Hanasato

Minori is an AMAZING singer in terms of sheer versatility and consistency. Her voice is extremely consistent and she benefits from it! It's also an extremely cute and smooth voice that fits the songs she sings very well! She doesn't really have any detriments, but her softer vocals are a bit restrictive but she doesn't struggle nearly as much as Kanade because she doesn't usually have songs that would require a strong voice.

Akito's voice slaps. No further comment/silly but seriously his voice is so.... good. Idk how to describe it. Like okay for one his voice is niche definitely. But his "niche" is street music AND HOLY FUCK I LOVE STREET MUSIC. It's like. So powerful and free? Like he goes hard for every song and it's so fucking good. Honestly he should be higher. He's so fucking pgiohufogigooguhogh... akitos voice.....

Shizuku's voice is fucking GORGEOUS. Like she sounds like an angel sent from the heavens half the time. Its very satisfying to hear her sing omg she's so fucking amazing. Listen to the full Near alt. Her voice is so fucking good im surprised honestly. Its a little bit rough just the slightest bit and very crisp. Like an apple! She's a very good vocalist and almost always sounds amazing in any song. She can do mature she can do suave silly cute anything you need! She's very versatile and just like I said amazing voice.

Her voice can be a little strained sometimes (devils manner 😔) but it's actually used to her benefit at times, like with Darling Dance. Her voice is just really good :3 I love her vv much

[inhale] lobcorp, also known as lobotomy corporation, is a multitasking monster-management game, part of a series of games from the producers Project Moon. it starts as a very simple "dystopian setting manage the monsters and sometimes employees die nbd" sort of game, but then rapidly, intensely spirals the more you play. its notoriously difficult but also ridiculously fun and satisfying to get correctly. you are expected to fail and retry multiple times, so much so that it is an active in-narrative plot point.

you play as the manager of L corp, named X, and angela is your Helpful AI Assistant here to help you make energy efficiently and be the best manager you can be. :] by making energy. nothing else. dont worry about it.

lobcorp as a game has absolutely Fantastic characters, and Doubly so in its sequel Library of Ruina. its a series that focuses on character growth, cycles of violence, autonomy, the definition of humanity and personhood... and just. so, so much more. its so full of The Horrors.

. this, of course, is the very basics of getting into the game. i am going to explain everything very vaguely and very messily. i'll spoilercut in case you're interested in looking spoilerless based off of this, (extra post abt it [here] if youd like to check it out yourself) but i will Try to keep it vague. i make no promises. youve asked me about my favorite character. that i have previously spent 6 hours straight explaining to a friend. you understand. here we go.

lobcorp takes place inside a monster-management facility... that is, in and of itself, a closed-off timeloop. in order to progress, certain events and interactions must happen in a very specific way for its ultimate goal to be realized. should something go wrong or a mistake occur, the loop resets to day 1, and you must do it all over again.

angela, your ai assistant, was built to be the perfect person to keep you, the manager, on-track for a plan of your own making. dont worry about it. she was built to be able to seamlessly and efficiently move things along-- the ability to feel emotion to be able to connect with employees and make crucial decisions, the ability to recall anything that has ever happened regardless of the loop, and the ability to perceive time much, much slower than a normal human to make judgements more efficiently.

she guides and supports you all the way up until the final leg of the journey, where... she simply doesnt show up again. she has done her job, and you no longer need her. you have a plan to finish, and an incalculably long time loop to finally close. everybodys suffering results in a happy ending, and everyone gets to rest. ^w^ yay yippee!

uhhh itd probably have to be Never Again still, i usually like to lean positive with my endings, that whole love-being-alive thing, so whenever i don't its usually because the focus is a different strong emotion that'd conflict with blatant positivity.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

oo okay also hard to decide for the same reason, I'd say the ending that feels happiest is probably from either I Can Only Hope Now (the Claudia prompt) or Now That We're Alive because both go from sad to happy and hopeful for the future. My Sunshine ends on a good note but its less "aw yippee!" and more "AAAAAAAAAAAA". I like my drabbles (under 400 words) to end pretty fluffy so far, and stuff like Mr. Crayola Henderson stays a pretty consistent light and fun so I don't think the happy end hits as hard.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

oh irony my cruelest adversary. a few months ago i was happy and ignorant in my haven of only one active wip. Now there's a small handful, and unless i get possesed with the same emotions i was venting in it, i fear the short Robin-centric letter style thing won't be finished soon. its decent so far but there would be a good bit of editing trying to actually articulate the feeling in a realistic way plus fitting it to Robin's first-person writing style. I don't intend to drop it but lately it just calls to me the least, but that could change

16. What are your writing strengths?

i think its a strange mix of intuition and a technical understanding of writing that works really well for the way i think. Its very broad and basically has no rules, just a understanding of how my favorite stories work, how most writing rules are really trends that tend to work better and then you can dig deeper behind a lot of them to see the *why* behind it. that plus trusting the nagging feeling that something's off makes editing my most productive stage, i can vibe check the area and then start digging dgnxnhxngxng

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

god this changes every time i revisit this draft xumxhmxmxhm this time its probably character introspection. i love writing like a movie and having character action or dialogue or setting or symbols communicate things, but putting down what the characters thinking with similar tact is soooo harddddddd and especially in angst or emotion moments, i want my readers caught in the same thought process as the pov character, i want it to feel so real that even if they never experienced the situation the characters in and even if they know logically the characters wrong, they understand. and that unfortunately involves bypassing their stance as an outside perspective on the matter, which is uhhhhh very very hard xhmznhxhnxhm

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Depends on the intent, i think it works best when the author speaks the language themselves, and especially with stuff like asl it helps clarify the grammatic differences. I think if its a language the pov character isn't supposed to understand then "said something in x language" works better for universal immersion.

Stranger things babeyyyyyy, i actually started writing the Steve Henderson au first, tho the first drafts of chapters are very different from current ones

MY SUNSHINE!!!!!!! i am so open about my favouritism with that one, its the most contemplative and atmospheric and emotional and its short enough that i was spending time on every word, every line to make sure it felt right and contributed to the picture i wanted. they say its more achievable (compared to long fiction) to make a perfect short story and that's what My Sunshine feels like to me, the perfect little taste of themes I'm enjoying most in writing rn, specifically with the Steve Henderson au (my second favourite fic xgnxngxgn)

sorry if this is a dumb question but since when was it house?? azul literally says dorm leader and backgrounds are [name] dorm but.. HOUSE?? WHAT???? i dont know if theres a difference in the orientation from the prologue and the one in book 7 (outside of nothing happening like us lol) but.. ????? i dont remember reading house or is it house because its housewardens instead of something like dorm leader. …??????

if youre wondering why ive been rereading through book 7 its because im adding shit to the wiki (we only have 19 more chapters for book 7 not including the one im working on rn!! its almost fully added! i really want to add it all before we get more main story update this month! all battlemaps are done!! the only things thats missing is chapters 40 to 59 which is us in idia's dream if there's still more, to us in mickey's room(?), ortho being awake, to sebek's dream, and then being taken to lilia's dream. everything after that IS DONE YIPPEE) the only thing missing outside of that is battle and battle backgrounds. ive already beaten the tiles so i cant see the fight again so idk how many enemies theyre are so its just blank (idk what backgrounds they use either and there IS a difference between battle background and normal backgrounds). but to be fair i dont think anyone goes through the story on the wiki for battle stuff 💀

also maybe a little off topic BUT

i feel like itd be interesting if there was an AU where the dreams everyone had was like real. like an alternate universe except the person from that universe gets replaced (briefly) by the person from our universe where that doesnt happen like for example in idia's dream where ortho is alive and in RSA being an actual universe. and idia of our world where ortho is a robot ends up in the body of that idia with the alive ortho.

like i dont know maybe a LCF situation? I cant remember but like during the sealed god test(?) where cale was put in different peoples bodies. and he caused chaos. ..but i think that world was like an actual world and not some sort of dream or illusion? i think. like. with dodam? i forgor its just that. i. kind of want them to meet. like again.

like general lilia from a world where silver and sebek ACTUALLY were there trying to change stuff. and like maybe they actually could this time round? ive noticed that like for example when we're talking to maleanor and silver takes the hit for lilia and talks. and then they go back to talking like silver never interrupted so its going how it normally went in the past. but like. what if they didnt? what if they were actually more suspicious?? what if they said something about silver looking like the dawn knight? but like. like imagine that general lilia appearing in this world where that didnt happen? whether its from a time where silver and sebek already went into lilia's dream, or another time where they hdn't yet and being so confused on why they're still there even though clearly its been a long time ?

im actually really happy about the shape of this silly little continent so far!! its got a cool swirly shape... and its pretty... and... and... uh... yeah

id say ive done a pretty good job so far on making the inner land areas look pretty... landy. like it would actually be something you'd see on a map!!

ooooohhh...... once i finish the landmasses i get to do BIOMES... and CITIES... and COOL AREAS... and BORDERS... and... and COOL AREAS

yeah i wanna make a silly fictional world with objects!!! ive had a couple concepts floating around in my head for a while and now im gonna MAKE EM REAL!!!!!

so! the map you saw above is actually layer 1 of three layers on my whole world map!! layer 1 is basically sea level, layer 2 is gonna be a buncha floating islands above layer 1, and layer 3 is gonna be a whole bunch more floating island on top of layer 2!!!!!!!!!! floaties!!!!!!!

its gonna be so awesome. its gonna be so cool...

theres also gonna be a LOT of different species of objects in my world as well!!!! thats another part im super duper excited for!!!!! animals animals animals!!!!! monster objects yippee!!!!!

so yeah thats kind of it for now... i WOULD put down more but i lterally cant think of anything else i know i would wanna say about my worldbuilding and stuff but but BUT
