#my boyfriend knows so fucking much about almost every sport is unbelievable#he’s a yapper. once he starts talking about sports this guy knows no end#today it started because we were on the couch and didn’t know what to watch#guy finds the channel that broadcasts the tour de france. lo and behold my man doesn’t shut the fuck up about cycling. is he a cyclist? no#when he was a kid he LOVED watching cycling. and from EVERYTHING you can possibly say about cycling he starts with NBA..#he explained to me in great detail for the 14th time the legends of the game. mind you we’ve been dating for five and half years#do you have any idea about how many times he yapped uninterruptedly about NBA and tennis?? he’s so cute when he talks about it🤩🤩#also he’s also a nerd about football (romanista fedele) but he doesn’t like it as much as basketball or tennis. which. whatever#funny thing to know: absolutely hates motorsports🤪#he doesn’t care about f1 or motogp or anything really. knows a lot about f1 cause his father was a huge fan. but he never liked it#he says it’s boring <- guy who enjoys cycling#ANYWAY we’ve talked for hours about sports. and i’m just as obsessed with him as i was back when i was 17 and we talked about sports for the#first time. he’s a nerd about pretty much everything#his specialty of course is history. he’s getting a fucking degree besides the literature degree he already has#truly proud of him. and i’m so LUCKY#he was so out of reach when we were at school. popular son of my italian and latin prof everyone knew him. notoriously closed off#romantically……. 2 years of having this absurd one sided crush when i thought he didn’t really know my name#what have you I CHARMED HIM🤪🤪 don’t know how (when i was dancing on a table at the exchange program school party. he told me years later🫢)#i’m living a fucking fairytale btw. i brag a lot about my man. could you tell??????#wild deep dive into our relationship in this tags. idk what came over me#mic

who wants 577 words of landoscar first date cuteness. don't care here u go
The train jolts forwards. Oscar stumbles back, already bracing to apologize to the loud family of tourists huddled behind him, when his motion is halted.
Lando’s hooked his fingers in his belt loops, counterbalancing him.
“Not a regular, then?” Lando wiggles his eyebrows, tucked close to Oscar’s body, half serious, half playful. “If you’re waiting for the third date to tell me you drive some big SUV ‘round London, all you’re getting is the bill.”
Oscar can feel the grin spreading uncontrollably across his face at the knowledge that Lando’s just as invested as he is.
“Skipping straight over the second date? Bold move, Norris.” He forces his smile into something more manageable, more sheepish, and shrugs. “More of a cyclist, if I’m honest. Less of a crowd.”
“Big introvert, are you? Tracks.” Lando says it with a smile, no sting in his words.
“And you just love people, do you?”
Lando tilts his head, considering.
“I dunno…” His face scrunches up. Oscar resists the urge to press a kiss to the wrinkles on his nose. Barely. “You can disappear in a crowd. Feels like I’m not really a person, when it’s me and a hundred other people trying to get to work. Like, I am still, and I know everyone else is, but also none of us are?”
Oscar hums.
“Makes sense, I guess.” He pauses, mostly for dramatic effect, though he’d never admit it. “If I squint.”
Lando giggles.
Silence falls on them, as silent as the tube ever gets. It’s comfortable though, sharing space and air in their own bubble, just smiling softly at each other.
Lando’s clearly staring at his lips. Oscar’s probably just as obvious, really. He doesn’t care.
The train grinds to a halt, jerky stutter-stop sending Lando into Oscar. The doors open, stop announcement breaking through their bubble.
“Not a regular, huh?” Oscar teases.
“Got a little distracted,” Lando bites his lip a little when he says it. “Next stop’s mine, if you wanna— come over, or something.”
“Or something?”
Lando nods.
“Not usually a, uh,” he stops to deliberate over his next words, clearly eyeing the family behind Oscar, “‘Come over after the first date’ kind of guy,” he admits, and Oscar is only a little surprised, “But if you promise you aren’t hiding a Land Rover in a garage somewhere, we can call it the third.”
Lando’s fingers are still in his belt loops, tightening and loosening in a rhythm Oscar can’t help but try to follow.
He’s striking, was pretty in the warm light of the Italian place, prettier still under the streetlights as they’d wandered the area in unspoken agreement to keep going, to stretch the night into infinity, talking without pause.
Sharper now, under the harsh light of the train, green eyes practically lit from within.
The stop announcement comes over the speaker, far louder than it needs to be.
“Let’s call it three,” Oscar says, leaning in close enough to count Lando’s eyelashes as they flash up and down, “Because I refuse to kiss you on the tube.”
Lando’s fingers go tight again.
Oscar can feel the flush high on his cheeks. Can see it mirrored on Lando.
The doors slide open and Lando lets go of his jeans completely. Oscar only has a second to register the unexpected pang of absence before Lando’s grabbing his hand instead, dragging him out of the carriage as the omnipresent voice reminds them to mind the gap.

THE MIDWEST MAVENS!
maggie zielinski's ride-or-dies. the best damn mechanics this side of the atlantic (or so they claim). an experiment in audacity, resilience, and decidedly unladylike behavior. not your average WACs.
masters of the air OCs, featured in various one-shots and prompts. can be found under name tags (#ch: first name), the #group: the midwest mavens tag, and the #motaverse tag. hope you enjoy!
SYLVIA "VEE" RASMUSSEN
-> technician third grade, hailing from minneapolis, minnesota. twenty-three years old, norwegian-american. six feet and one inch of pure technical brilliance, even if she's too humble to admit it herself. born in the flour-milling capital of the world, her skills as a repairwoman come more from years of taking apart and reassembling film cameras than from anything she learned at gold medal or pillsbury. quiet and unassuming - until you get to know her.
LORETTA MORGANELLI
-> technician fourth grade, hailing from chicago, illinois. twenty-two years old, italian-american and won't let you forget it. chronic shit-stirrer whose preoccupation with the finer things in life disguises a serious devotion to the safety and upkeep of the b-17s. loyal, but won't hesitate to call her friends on their bullshit. sense of humor drier than the mojave. doesn't always know when to shut her mouth.
MABEL BAUMAN
-> technician fourth grade, hailing from milwaukee, wisconsin. twenty years old, german-american. divided her childhood between school and her family's bicycle shop. will talk your ear off with obscure facts about anything and everything. whip-smart and proud of it, even if it makes her come across as a bit of a know-it-all. amateur racing cyclist.

The 20th century without doubt was the century of the automobile and vehicles like the Ford Model T and the VW Beetle motorized millions of people all over the world. Consecutively also cities and landscapes changed significantly in order to accommodate automobile traffic. Naturally these changes to a great deal involved architects and urban planners who in manifold ways reacted to them.
The art historian Erik Wegerhoff took a different look at the relationship of architecture and automobile, namely from a creative and conflictual perspective: „Automobil und Architektur. Ein kreativer Konflikt“, published in 2023 by Verlag Klaus Wagenbach, looks into how the automobile stimulated architecture and architects on a creative level. Wegerhoff’s perspective ranges from the futurists of the early 20th century over Le Corbusier to the postmodernists and the deceleration of the late 1990s. The subdivision of the different chapters into the three blocks „accelerating“, „shifting“ and „decelerating“ already hints at Wegerhoff’s point that between the early speed enthusiasm of the Italian futurists and the focus on parking spaces and the late 1990s Slow Movement drastic changes have occurred in the relationship between the car and architecture and speed has become less and less important.
Along Le Corbusier’s obsession with the car and the transposition of movement into his architecture, Erich Mendelsohn’s designs for the passing-by motorist and Zumthor’s Therme Vals placed at the end of a winding road, the author describes the manifold touching points between the car, traffic and architecture. But Wegerhoff doesn’t solely focus on the surface of architecture and also taps into the sociocultural dimension of the topic, especially with regards to deceleration: speed bumps, slackening surfaces and the increasing focus on stationary traffic since the 1960s are the results of a refocusing on the demands of local residents, pedestrians and cyclists.
Owing to his unconventional perspective on the automobile’s influence on architecture, the essayistic style and the diverting amalgamation of cultural and architectural history, the book is a great read, also for a non-specialists.

OK I FINALLY HAVE MORE STUFF ON THE DANGANRONPA REIMAGINING.
I wanted it to be more diverse so I made most of the characters be from different places, based on which country is the best at their certain skill. So here are their new names, nationalities and ultimates (because I changed some of those too) in no particular order.
Allison (Ally) Andrews - American, ultimate swimmer
Bernhard Toman - German, ultimate businessman
Celestia Ludenberg (Chunhua Leng) - Chinese, ultimate gambler
Chunyu Fei - Chinese, Ultimate programmer
Hifumi Yamada - Japanese, Ultimate mangaka
Jovanni Endrigo - Italian, ultimate fashionista
Kiyotaka Ishimaru - Japanese, ultimate student council president
Katharina Keilholz - Swiss, ultimate detective
Liam Knowles - American, ultimate baseball player
Mason Navarro - French, ultimate lucky student
Marcello Oddono - Italian, ultimate motor cyclist
Shilin Ouyang - Chinese, ultimate martial artist
Sayaka Maizono - Japanese, ultimate idol
Yamar Hafez - Egyptian, ultimate fortune teller
Uhhh I'm not a danganronpa fan but I really like the concept so I thought I'd reimagine the game if it was written by me with my style of writing, character writing and character designing. I'll probably be making their designs and rewriting the actual characters soon but just bear with me cause it might take a while. Thanks!

Iconic/memorable moments Indycar: Marcus Armstrong At IndyCar Spring Training New Indy Car Driver Marcus Armstrong about the Grand Prix of St Pete OVER THE WALL // ACURA GRAND PRIX OF LONG BEACH Marcus Armstrong Long Beach Preview Marcus Armstrong Post Qualifications Marcus Armstrong rocked up to Turn 1 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to see what 235mph looks like… Callum and Marcus chat during pre-season testing:

Doing fast laps around Goodwood in his dad’s car: 16-year-old Marcus talks about leaving home to move to Europe alone: Clem Novalak loves Marcus: He likes pineapple on pizza: Interesting content:
Marcus is a self-proclaimed "lover not a fighter". He's known to be very friendly and approachable, with a significant portion of the Formula 2 grid mentioning that he was the driver they got on with best in the paddock during his time there. His results in F2 were mixed, moving teams in 3 successive years, as he sometimes had difficulty getting to grips with the F2 car and tyres, however it’s generally agreed that his midfield championship positions during his F2 tenure aren’t an accurate reflection of his genuine ability and talent. Multiple Ganassi team members (including the boss) have commented on how impressed they are by his raw speed, work ethic, and attitude since his arrival in IndyCar. Marcus himself has already talked about how much more enjoyable the Indy car is to drive and how much fun he’s having now after several years of struggling with the notoriously difficult F2 car. He also appears to be getting on well with his CGR teammates and in particular has talked about how much he likes Marcus Ericsson.
He moved to London in early 2022 after spending several years living near Ferrari’s HQ in Maranello, Italy, and is known to enjoy city nightlife, being a big fan of wine. He’s a major foodie who likes taking photos of good food almost as much as he enjoys complaining about bad food. He is known to be determined to the point of stubbornness, causing himself permanent damage to his knee during a half-marathon due to refusing to stop when he was in pain. He had a low attendance record at school due to focusing on his racing career and moving to Europe at the age of 14, and as such, although he’s not unintelligent he’s known to be somewhat lacking in general knowledge (such as thinking Shakespeare’s first name was Michael). However, he has the characteristically Kiwi dry, sarcastic sense of humor and very much enjoys mutual teasing and banter with his close friends, something that’s often on display in the Screaming Meals podcasts.
Fanfic Lore
Usually paired with Callum Ilott, or F2 driver Clement Novalak due to their extremely close and physically affectionate friendship - was Clem’s teammate during their karting days, and has said that they talk every day while he’s in the US Likes to tease Callum and wind him up to his face, but often calls him his best mate and praises him when he’s not around. However Callum rarely (if ever) reciprocates the latter, probably due to his intense Britishness Good friends with multiple drivers from various series, including Juan Manuel Correa, Jüri Vips, Guanyu Zhou, Nick Cassidy, Max Fewtrell and Felipe Drugovich Also has a tendency to “adopt” younger drivers and refer to them as “little bro”, including Jak Crawford and Dino Beganovic Has said on several occasions that he doesn’t wear underwear, and also shaves his legs (and possibly elsewhere, having claimed that he is “hairless from the eyebrows down”) Claims he can’t tell the difference between someone being nice to him and someone flirting with him
credit for most of this post to @whitewindhowl and friends
