Baking cookies is reasonably easy and being with James is even easier. Their conversations come naturally, and silences are always comfortable, and tonight is no different. They talk about everything and nothing while they start measuring and combining ingredients. James does the measuring; Regulus does the mixing.

Regulus is whisking and James steps up behind him to look over his shoulder, letting his hands find their rightful home on Regulus’ hips. “You are doing a fantastic job.” James tells him.

Regulus rolls his eyes. “I’m mixing butter and sugar together, it’s not a hard job.”

“And an egg!” James is mockingly outraged that Regulus didn’t mention the egg.

Regulus huff a laugh, “Sorry, and an egg.” He corrects himself. “Will you get the flour?” Regulus turns his head to ask James, and he sees a mischievous smile grow on his face. “And no flour fights.” He adds.

“But—” James whines.

“James.” Regulus warns with a smile.

James huffs, “Fine.” And he kisses the side of Regulus’ neck before he steps away to get the flour.

James adds the rest of the ingredients to Regulus’ bowl, successfully not starting a flour fight. Regulus does end up with flour on the tip of his nose, but he lets it slide.

James’ job is done so he hops up on the counter and starts tossing chocolate chips in the air and catching them in his mouth. Regulus just shakes his head with a fond smile while he starts scooping the cookie dough onto the baking sheet.

They continue to talk and banter about everything and nothing and it’s just easy. These are some of Regulus’ favorite moments with James. When they can just be together, doing something together, but not really doing much of anything. Nothing’s really happening, but for Regulus, these are the moments that mean everything.

MAN some of the things i miss the most about blaseball were the really small things. like "the inning is now an outing" and how wins and runs were physical objects with weight and how you could click on your peanuts to eat them and how items like the Skate Board was depicted as a wooden board with the Skate element or the Iron Glove was pictured as a clothing iron. and the silly random chance stuff like Socks Maybe getting Theoretical Shoes or Fish Summers being the first player to get launched from the Salmon Cannons or Sutton Picklestein having the returned mod proc the same election they got necromanced in. It was all just so fun and silly and now its gone

the fact that most of the fandom hated on “hey kids! spelling is fun!!” in ME!, so she took it out of the song. then people continued to make fun of the song so much that it’s not even apart of the eras tour setlist. when it was the first single of lover!! and now it maybe won’t even be a surprise song. but i’m just thinking about the video where taylor was making the song and how much fun she had and saying how much she loves the song. and how it sends a good message not only to us but to kids. and then swifties start making fun of it and now it’s not like it even exists anymore? i understand some of why people don’t like it because of brendon urie, but it went too far imo. it’s such a fun song and it’s kind of like shake it off and it breaks my heart that it went as far as to make taylor never perform or talk abt it.
