Pairing: Harrison Osterfield X Female Reader

Warnings: no-no words, sexual innuendo, none of this is accurate and tbh it’s a bit choppy

Synopsis: 24 hours to do 24 things before Harrison turns 24, will you make it?

Your alarm rang out through your dark room. Usually, you would have pressed snooze and slept it off, but not today. Instead, you throw the duvet off your bed, grabbed your backpack full of everything you needed, and headed straight down the hall to his room. You didn't bother knocking, knowing he was still peacefully asleep, no, instead, you burst down the door and jumped on the bed.

"Wake up, Haz! It's time to go!"

He groans, and you roll your eyes, grabbing his arm and yanking him out anyway. Harrison stumbled a bit, not used to being awake at this hour, but he grabs his backpack full of supplies and follows you out the door. He was starting to regret this idea even though it had just begun. You both got in the car, Harrison yawning as he starts up the car.

"Okay, first one, road trip!" You said, reading off the paper in your hand. Harrison leans over to read some of the things, all written with your colorful and bright handwriting. His eyes scan the list, landing on number 24 where you hand covered it up.

"How come I can't see that one?" He asked.

"Because it's a surprise," You replied. The date was July 3rd, the day before Harrison's birthday. In the coming week, you had put together a list of 24 random activities to do in 24 hours before he turned 24. Granted, Tom and the rest of Harrison's friends were helping along the way, but right now, it was just you and him.

Harrison said nothing more, too tired to argue with you, "Please tell me you have coffee."

Your reply was to pull two thermoses from your backpack, setting them in the car's cup holders. Harrison nods, grabbing the cup and taking a long sip, the warm liquid sliding down his throat and making him feel more awake with each passing second.

"Alright then, where to love?"

Harrison pulled into the parking lot, turning the keys and shutting off the car. You grabbed a pen from your backpack, crossing off the second item on the list.

Road Trip

The sun had just started to rise, and you looked at your phone, checking the time. Eight in the morning. Your pushed open your car door, leaving your backpack in your seat and grabbing only your phone and wallet. Harrison walked around the car, placing a hand on the small of your back as he glances at you, "what are we here for?"

"Three things," You said, "number six on the list, go to a farmers market, number one, eat watermelon and number 23, ice cream!" You listed them all on your fingers, bouncing on your feet at the mention of the ice cream.

"Ice cream?" Harrison questions, "it's eight am, love."

You scoff, "never too early, plus we could use the sugar. We have a long day ahead of us, pretty boy," You taunt, mocking his use of 'love' earlier. It wasn't uncommon for you to call each other names, that was simply the way of your friendship. It wasn't an unspoken thing, you never did speak about it, but you planned on changing that later tonight.

Harrison chuckles, shaking his head, "lead the way."

You grin, slipping your hand in his and taking off toward the market. You both wandered between all the different stalls, gawking at the variety of fresh fruit amongst other things. Harrison stops in front of a stand, tugging at your hand, and you spin around. He points toward the melons gathered in baskets, and you clap your hands. The owner comes over, holding a knife, "would you like to try some?" He offers using his hand to motion to all the different melons. There was cantaloupe, honeydew, seedless red watermelon, and yellow watermelon.

You nod eagerly, "can I try the yellow, please?" The farmer nods, cutting a slice and handing it over. There's no hesitation as you bite into the melon, it tastes just like regular watermelon, just a tad bit sweeter. Juice drips down your chin, and you use the back of your hand to wipe it off, grinning widely. You offer the piece to Harrison, "want a bite?"

He leans down, biting the rest of it off as you let out a gasp, snatching your hand away, "I said a bite."

Harrison shrugs, laughing through his mouthful of stolen melon, "not sorry."

You smack his arm, resulting in him giggling more. The farmer smiles at the two of you, "I assume you'll be buying?"

Harrison nods, swallowing the rest of the melon, "I think (Y/N) would about murder me if I didn't."

You ignore his comment, "One yellow and one red, please."

The farmer hands you the two melons, and you thank him, handing over the money.

"Think you can handle both?" You tease.

"Easy," Harrison smirked, picking one up in each arm. You follow behind him, keeping a close eye on the melons, making sure he didn't drop them. Harrison pops open the trunk and rests the watermelons inside, before slamming it shut. He crosses his arms, leaning against the trunk of the car, "ice cream, you say?"

You snicker, "I thought you said it was too early?"

"Now I know the heat is getting to you, that's an absurd thought."

He grabs your hand again and pulls you back into the market, searching for the ice cream stand. Harrison weaves in and out of the crowd, leaving you to apologize for his atrocious behavior.

"Harrison, slow down!" You exclaim, tugging on his arm as a warning. He obeys, slowing the pace to a jog as he pulls you out of the crowd and into his side. It's a few more minutes of pushing and pulling until you arrive at the ice cream truck. Harrison orders for you two and hands you the cone while he pays.

"I told you this was a good idea," You said in between licks of your ice cream.

Harrison nods his head, eagerly eating his breakfast. You both move to a seat under the shade, your ice cream rapidly melting in your hands.

"What flavor did you get?" You ask.

"Caramel cone," He replied, licking up the side of his cone to catch a drop, "You?"

"White chocolate raspberry truffle."

"Oh, give me a bite!" Harrison said, leaning over.

You scoff, "No way! After what you did to my watermelon, I don't think so."

"Please, love? You can have the rest of mine," He bargains, a pout on his lips. As soon as Harrison pulls the pouty face, you know you're a goner.

"you know I hate it when you do that," you grumble, handing him your cone. He laughs at that, taking a small bite of your ice cream, "I know that's why I did it. You can't resist me."

Oh if he only knew

You roll your eyes, grabbing his hand with his ice cream in it and taking a bite yourself. You hum at the sweet taste of caramel and take another nibble. Harrison lets you, holding up his earlier bargain and figuring this was payback for the watermelon.

"I'm going to eat this all if you don't take it away from me," you joked, pushing it back, a few drops of the treat making their way down your chin. Without thinking, Harrison reaches out to brush them away, his thumb just grazing your lower lip. There's a moment where you both pause in realization, but it ends as quickly as it started, and he wipes his thumb on a napkin while you mumble thanks, cheeks on fire.

Watermelon, farmers market, ice cream

...

Sweat dripped down your brow as you let out a huff, "Harrison!"

He spins around, hands on his hips as he takes in your exhausted form, "Yes, love?"

"How much further?" You whine. It felt like you'd been hiking for ages. You were covered in sweat, legs burning, probably sunburnt and hungry. Turns out, ice cream is not the best choice for breakfast. As each second passed, you wondered what demon possessed you to put go on a hike on your list. Anything else would've been better, and yet, you put that down.

"Half a mile, give or take," Harrison replied, squinting as he tried to spot the lake in the distance. You groan, throwing your head back, "this was a horrible decision."

Harrison laughs at you, and you glare at him, of course, he wasn't exhausted. He was your all-around athletic guy that could do anything. It seemed like every time you went out, he surprises you with another activity he could perform with ease. Although, you stopped being surprised a long time ago, accepting the fact that Harrison was just perfect in everything he did.

"Get on," Harrison said. He was crouching in front of you, arms extended, waiting for you to hop on.

"Harrison..."

"C'mon, love, I don't mind. It's only half a mile."

You can hear the smirk in his voice when he says that. You roll your eyes - not that he can see - and jump on his back. Your arms weave their way around his neck as his hand grab the back of your legs, keeping you flush against him. He stands up slowly, pushing you up a bit further as you cross your ankles.

"good?" He asked.

You nod your head, dipping it into his neck, "great."

Harrison carries you the rest of the way there; your head nuzzled into his neck as your body gets the sweet relief it deserves. You close your eyes at some point, listening to the sound of Harrison's breathing and the birds chirping in the trees. Very faintly, you catch the sound of running water, letting you know you were close to your destination. Harrison turns his head, forehead pressed against the side of yours so he can whisper in your ear, "we're here."

Your eyes flutter open as he gently lowers you to the ground, feet landing in the sand surrounding the lake. The sun sits high in the sky, reflecting into the clear pool of water. Tall dark pine trees surround the lake and a few rocky areas around the coast. The water sparkles under the sun, moving in small waves.

"Holy shit," Harrison breathes out, taking in the view.

"Yeah, wow," You agree, still trying to take it all in. A small family of ducks swims across the lake, and you watch as one of the ducklings swims away from her mom, diving under to catch some fish. By the time its head breaks the surface, she's gone. You don't hesitate to rush down to the lake and scoop the duckling into your hand.

"(Y/N), love..." Harrison stared, eyeing the duckling.

"It's number 20 on the list, no argument, pretty boy!" You said, cooing at the small creature in your hand, "plus, look how cute she is! Let's call her Daisy."

The duckling chirps happily in your hands, and you smile at Harrison, "I think she likes us."

Harrison leans over your shoulder, and Daisy quacks.

"If you say so. What was the other thing on your list?"

"Oh!" you pass Daisy to Harrison, who despite himself, cups her softly and fawns over her.

"Carve our names!" You announced proudly, pulling the knife from your bag.

"Woah, be careful with that thing!" Harrison said. He passes Daisy back to you and gently takes the knife out of your hands, "I think I'll be doing the carving part."

You place Daisy in the pocket of your shorts as you and Harrison scan the area for the perfect tree. You eventually find a tall pine near the water, and Harrison gets to carving. The knife drags against the wood as he engraves two names into the bark.

Harrison + (Y/N)

July 3rd, 2020.

He tops it off with a heart surrounding it, before brushing the wood chips off his hand, "there."

"it's perfect," You grin, clasping his hand in yours.

"Yeah," Harrison mumbles, his gaze wavering over you. "perfect."

go on a hike, adopt a duckling, carve our names

...

"No."

"This one?"

"No."

"Okay, what about this?"

"No way."

"This?"

"Are you crazy?"

"This!"

"Love," Harrison chuckled, grabbing onto your wrist and pulling you to his chest, "you're kidding, right?"

You push away from his chest, "I think the pineapples would look great on you."

Harrison groans, still holding you in his arms, but neither of you had noticed, "Please, anything but the pineapple one."

"Okay okay fine, what about the hibiscus one?"

Harrison's face drops, and you laugh, grabbing onto his arm to support you.

"This is London, not freaking Hawaii, (Y/N)."

You scoff, "Yes, but we're going to a beach party, so I think you should at least wear something tropical."

"No."

"Please?"

"Nuh-uh."

"What about a dolphin tie?"

"And just when I thought your idea couldn't get any worse."

"wait, wait, hear me out, pineapple shirt, pineapple tie, and yellow shorts."

"That's it we're leaving," Harrison said, gripping your hand in an attempt to drag you out of the store.

You whine, trying to pull him back, "Hazzy, wait, okay, I'll be serious now!"

Harrison stops and crosses his arms, "go on then. What should I wear?"

"I think you should wear the pineapple shirt," You mumble.

"what's that, love?" Harrison asks, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you to his chest so he could whisper in your ear. You turn around in his arms, poking him in the chest, "I think you should wear the pineapple shirt."

"(Y/N)..."

"Hear me out: You can wear it unbuttoned with a tank top and jean shorts."

Harrison thinks about it, and you watch the conflict across his fast. You wrap your arms around his waist and peer up at him, pout adorning your lips, "please?"

Harrison doesn't miss a beat. "Sounds perfect."

"Yes!" you cheer, leaning up to kiss his cheek before you can even think about it, "Tom's going to love this."

You pay for his outfit and drag him out of the store, and back into the sun, Harrison immediately shielded his eyes.

"What's next?" He asked, nearly missing getting hit by someone as you haul him through the mobs of people.

"Just wait," You shout, turning back to smile at him as you make your way to a clearing. A small fountain stands in the center, a few people surrounding it. A lady stands in the middle, arms, and legs rippling with muscles as she smiles kindly at everyone.

"Welcome to African Zumba!"

"Oh no," Harrison whispered under his breath, turning to walk away, but you grab onto and give him a pleading look.

"It'll be fun. I promise it's only half an hour."

Harrison sighs, mumbling something under his breath but coming to stand next to you.

The dance instructor introduces herself as Maya, giving a bit of History on Zumba and her culture.

"Now, we start!" She exclaims, pressing play on her phone as the music starts floating through the air. "Just copy me."

And Harrison tried.

Oh, how he tried, but it seemed you finally found the one thing Harrison couldn't do. The poor boy tripped over his feet and often crashing into you, mumbling an apology as he continued to try and copy Maya. Half an hour later and Harrison swears he's never sweated so much in his life.

"Are we done?" He asked between pants, hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath.

You laugh, a bit breathless yourself, "yes, you big baby. We're going to go home and get ready for your party later."

"Thank god," He mumbled, brushing his hands off on his shirt as he stands up, blonde locks falling in his eyes.

"c'mon, it wasn't that bad," You tease, bumping shoulder with him.

"I think the fifty bruises on me say otherwise."

You snort, picking up your bags and grabbing onto his hand, "Yeah, yeah, whatever, we're going home so you can change into your outfit."

"don't remind me."

"you'll look so handsome."

"I think you mean ridiculous."

"Same thing for you."

Harrison scoffs, stopping in his tracks, causing you to almost trip. He pulls you to his chest, arms wrapping around your waist, "wouldn't you know."

A moment of silence passes as you gaze into each other's eyes, your lips brush against each other, and you wonder if maybe this is it, but then he pulls away, and you push yourself out of his arms.

"Those macaroons aren't going to make themselves."

Bake Macaroons, make lemonade, learn to dance, shopping

By the time you got to the beach, the sun had started to set, but that was perfect. You guys planned on being here all night as Harrison's birthday was tomorrow.

"Close your eyes," You said, holding both of Harrison's hand in yours and leading him down the boardwalk to the beach. Your feet dig into the warm sand, the sound of waves crashing onto the shore much more prominent now. Tom stands to the side with the rest of Harrison's friends. He gives you a knowing wink as you roll your eyes at him, leading Harrison to the center of the celebration. The tables were placed a few feet away from the ocean; all of them covered in food and confetti. There was a fire pit in the middle, a few chairs, and towels surrounding it. Some umbrellas were still propped up, the sun only just making it's decent.

"and open!" You squealed, letting go of Harrison's hands as his eyes roamed the space set up for his birthday.

"Happy almost birthday!" His friends cheered, raising their beers to the sky.

Harrison grins, cheeks flushed, "thank you, guys. This is awesome, but enough about me. I won't be 24 for another six hours, so lets party!"

Tom and Harry jog up to you, Tom landing a hit on Harrison's ass as you giggle.

"hey birthday boy," Tom said, nodding to Harrison, "how many more activities do you have left on the list?"

All three boys turn their attention toward you, and you pull the slip of paper out of the pocket of your shorts. "Pull- an all-nighter, get drunk, catch fireflies, karaoke, water gun fight, photoshoot, bonfire, make smores, midnight swimming, stargazing and number twenty-four."

The two Holland exchange knowing glances at the mention of the magical number.

"Do you tow divs know what it is? C'mon then, spill it!" Harrison urges.

Both shake their heads, "nope, we were sworn to secrecy by miss (Y/N) here."

You shrug, giving Harrison an innocent smile, "you'll find out soon enough."

Tuwaine appears behind you, holding four bottles of beer in his hands, "I heard getting drunk was on the list?"

You nod eagerly, everyone grabbing a beer and popping off the lid, clicking them together before taking a large swig.

"Hey, divs!" Sam calls out from a microphone, "whos' up for karaoke?"

...

"Tom!" You scream, aiming your gun at him and rapidly firing. He laughs, knowing full well your aim sucked. The war rages on as you both continue squirting water at each other. You watch as Harrison comes up behind Tom, giving you a thumbs-up as he begins soaking him.

"mate, what the hell?" Tom exclaims, turning around to see Harrison grinning as he continues to fire at Tom, "traitor!" Tom shouts, directing his water gun to the birthday boy. With Tom distracted, you sneak over to the bucket of water balloons, grabbing as many as you could in your hand before Harry toses one at you, hitting you in the stomach. His laughter rings out as you chase him in hot pursuit, landing a few hits on his back and hair. You feel spurts of water on your exposed back, and you turn around to see both Tuwaine and Sam firing at you.

"Harrison, help me!" You squeal, getting soaked in water as all three boys began dousing you.

"Harrison, you div, get over here, or I'll come after you!" You shout, using your hands to shield your face from the water. The boys eventually stop their torment when they find themselves out of water, and you soaked. Your hair is matted to your forehead as you pick up your water gun, "where's the birthday boy?"

Harry, Sam, and Tuwaine smirk knowing what was about to happen, "he's over them with Tom," Tuwaine answers motioning to them.

"He's so going to get it," You said, breaking into a run. You race past the water balloon station, picking up a few.

Harry grabs his camera, previously sitting on a chair, and brings it to his wet face, ready to capture the moment.

"Harrison!" You roar, cocking your gun at him and dousing him in water.

"Wait, (Y/N), love- don't do this!" He begs, firing between both you and Tom. He turns his attention to Tom, who's laughing like a manic, and you take the chance to hop on Harrison's back, he doesn't falter once.

"This is for letting me get soaked!" You said triumphantly, popping a water balloon over his head.

Harrison gasps as the cold water rushes down his face and soaks through his hair, "babe!"

You throw your head back laughing, arms snaking around his neck to keep yourself in place. Water drips down both of you, but your faces are adorned with stupid grins.

"well?" Sam asked, leaning over Harry's shoulder. Harry moves the camera back to admire the shots he got of you two.

"I like that one," Tuwaine said, pointing to a shot where you're laughing as Harrison looks over his shoulder, grinning at you.

"Yeah." Sam muses, "it'll be great to embarrass them with later after they're together."

"and they say they're just friends," Tuwaine huffs, "such bullshit."

The Holland twins murmur their agreement as they turn their attention back to Harrison, spinning you around as you squeal, holding onto him tighter. Tom stepped away, letting you have your moment and finding a towel to wrap himself in as he approaches the other boys, "Shall we start the bonfire?"

...

You were wrapped in a towel, pressed against Harrison as you held a s'more in your hand, laughing at some embarrassing story Tom was telling about Harrison.

"Shut up, mate! It was a bloody accident," Harrison said.

"Accident or not it's still hilarious," Tom laughs as Harrison rolls his eyes.

"I've got one from today!" you spoke up, Harrison instantly tenses beside you already knowing where this was going.

"love-"

"so we did African Zumba today," You start, a fit of giggles overcoming you as Harrison groans beside you.

Harry and Sam burst into laughter. Everyone already a bit drunk, "no way!"

"He was horrible!" You said, laughing with everyone else as Harrison blushes, "It was hard!"

"I can think of something else that's hard," Tom said suggestively.

That sends Sam and Harry back into a fit of laughter, both clutching onto their stomachs as they lean forward. Tuwaine raises his eyebrows at Harrison, receiving a glare in return.

"Wouldn't you like to know," He mumbles.

"No, but I think (Y/N)-"

You grab a marshmallow from the bag and chuck it at Tom's forehead, "Don't finish the sentence."

He shrugs, shoving the marshmallow in his mouth and winking at the two of you. Harrison opens his mouth to say something else, most likely a sarcastic retort when Sam interrupts him, "Hey guys, look at the stars." Everyone's attention is directed toward the sky. The star glimmer in the dark atmosphere, winking at you as they bathe in the darkness. Harrison's arm drops down to your waist, pulling you against him as you stare at the stars. Your head falls on his shoulder as he wraps the towel a bit tighter around you two.

"five minutes," Harry broke the silence. "Thirty minutes until you're 24 Hazzah."

"did you get everything on the list?" Tuwaine asked, looking to you cuddled up against Harrison.

"do you consider us drunk?" You inquire. As if to prove your point, Sam lets out a laugh. "Us drunk? Never."

Tom turns toward you, "yes," He deadpans.

"Then there's only two things left."

"Well, get on with it," Tuwaine urges.

"what are they, love?" Harrison asked.

"midnight swimming and number 24."

Harrison throws the towel off of you two and grabs your hand, "midnight swimming it is."

He drags you to the ocean, and the colds water laps at your bare feet, making you shiver, "this was a bad idea. The water is freezing!" You whine, trying to back away.

"Oh no, babe, we're in this together." Harrison grabs onto your waist, throwing you over his shoulder as you scream, pounding onto his back.

"No, please, Hazzy, pretty boy, it's going to be cold!"

Harrison ignores your pleas and walks further into the ocean, water lapping at his waist. He turns around to see his friends trying to push each other into the water as well, Harry shouting at Sam as he almost tips back.

"Ready?"

"Harrison, please," You plead, "don't do this."

As usual, he ignores you and drops you into the freezing ocean. Your head breaks the surface as you stand up, shivering a bit, "asshole."

Tom cheers from the shore, having knocked Harry in as well, but mostly focus on you two, "He did it! He actually dropped her!"

You give the boys the middle finger, all laughing in reply.

"Midnight swimming, check," Harrison smirks, standing before you, shirtless and blonde locks pushed back, "what's number twenty-four?"

Your heart pounds in your chest at the mention of the last item on your list, after all this time, and it seemed you were still scared. A light catches your eye, and you see Tuwaine waving his phone, and Tom yelling, "ten."

You furrow your eyebrows at him, and he taps his wrist, signaling the time.

Ten seconds left

"Well?" Harrison asked again, his hands finding your arms.

Tuwaine's hand shot up, all five fingers showing.

Screw it

You grab the back of Harrison's neck and crash your lips onto his. Your eyes flutter close, savoring the feeling of his velvet lips on yours. It takes you a minute to realize he's also kissing you back, but when you do you smile against his lips. The ocean laps at you, bringing the cold with it, but you pay no attention to it when Harrison pulls you to his chest, hands coming up to cup your cheeks. He tastes faintly of chocolate from the smores earlier, but if anything, it makes you want to kiss him longer.

Reluctantly you pull away first, "number 24," you whisper, pressing your forehead to his, "kiss him."

"We could've done that a lot sooner," Harrison quips.

You shrug, "doesn't matter, I still did it."

The cold finally catches up with you, and you shiver in Harrison's embrace. He takes notice and scoops you up again, wading his way back to the shore where his friends await him.

"so, lovebirds, what's the verdict?" Tom asked.

"We can talk about that later, right now, my girlfriends freezing."

Your heart swells at the mention of being Harrison's girlfriend. He was really yours now.

Harrison sits you down, draping a towel over your bare shoulders and leaving to grab some food, but you tug at his hand, bringing his lips back toward yours.

"Happy birthday, baby."

OMIGOD FIRST REQUEST BSDJJRJTJ YOU GOT IT BBY LETS GO-

I got her hcs while I was in the shower coincidentally enough.

Okay surprisingly for someone who you can't see, she really REALLY cares about her looks. It's really sad but she's actually super insecure despite being invisible

Loves any sort of face mask that has animals or cute things on it!! Cute, cute, cute!! She especially loves those little fruit shaped masks that you slap on different parts of your face like hgsvgbd please-

Actually has really oily skin, which is purely the cause of her insecurities. Someone please compliment this girl on her skin for gosh sakes-

Uses foam and oil cleansers to gently try and control her acne. Then uses a really light daycream with included sun protection when it's both day and night. She uses it at night because she gets scared that her night cream will be too much for her face. Better to go lighter.

OH MY GOD SHE LOVES HOT SPRINGS. P L E A S E. She enjoyed the camp so much because it made her pores open up and made it easier to clean!!

Uses those peel off pore masks on her nose, chin and upper lip. Hurts her sometimes, you can usually see her cry a bit when she takes them off.

Ajdjsjjjf acne needles? Yes. She uses them. Doesn't wanna get acne scars and this is more hygienic than actually popping pimples with your fingers. She really takes great care when it comes to her skin.

Ochaco:

Ochaco is literally me when I spent all my money on food :')

Cheap as hell. Obviously. This means CHEAP BEAUTY HACKS!

Ochaco has normal skin thankfully enough, but she does get some bad days with acne. Happens.

Cheap means you make your own stuff. Instead of buying exfoliating scrubs, Ochaco makes her own by buying oatmeal, apples, raw honey, cinnamon, and lemon juice. She puts this all in a food processor, letting it become a thick paste. Before she puts it on her face, she puts in a bit of sugar and tada!!! Smooth, soft, baby skin!

Another thing she makes is cucumber and banana ice-cubes for her dark eyebags. She grabs some cucumber, mushes it half a banana and then puts them into an ice-tray. Then whenever she has dark eyebags, she busts out these bad boys and voìla!

Is a hoe for 5 minute-crafts stuff. They're usually cheap and work for her really well, so now she heccing worships it like a g O d.

Doesn't really understand makeup? She might only use some eyeshadow and eyeliner. Possibly chapstick if she has some.

Makes her own lipscrubs though! Sugar and honey make a beautiful scrub for her lips, she rubs and licks it off happily to reveal velvet, plush lips ready for kissing! ;)

Really good at making cute diy beauty stuff!! She once made this clear lip balm that had a dry flower inside. She actually sold some! She was so proud of herself.

Oh gosh if you give Ochaco expensive Burberry Her perfume that smells sweet and sugary she will cry because she is so grateful for that. It's her FAVOURITE smell. Otherwise, she smells like faint roses.

Uses spray deodorant on hot days and stick deodorant on cold days. Spray deodorant is such a perk up when she's been sweating from training.

If there's a sale on skincare products, you'd best believe Ochaco sits there in the morning in front of the shop to get all the best stuff first. She will actually kill someone if that try and take the last item on the shelf which is on sale, especially if it's like 50% off. She'd tear some limbs. O_o

Prefers liquid soap over soap bars, but buys soap bars more often because they're cheaper and easier to stock. Just please get her some moderately priced things god this girl NEEDS PAMPERING OKAY???

Momo:

Bro you know how gay I am for this girl like dude I LOVE HER OKAY???

Completely and utterly clueless when it comes to skincare.

Never gets acne??? Like ever??? I'm so jealous it's SO UNFAIR. Does get dry skin though.

Uses those 24 carat gold face masks because they look pretty and make her face freakin GLOW LIKE A GODDESS.

Uses peel off masks, but more for dead skin. Hurts much less and she just heccing emits rays of sunlight.

Uses sunscreen a lot though. She's really prone to getting sunburnt, and she can't get a tan, which makes her kinda sad. Cancer is too scary to get a tan over.

Likes body and hand creams too much for her own good. Has a whole collection of them which all have a variety of smells and textures so her body and hands and just her skin is normally soft and silky and just hafdjskrjkt-

Has to use coffee scrubs and body oil since she has stretch marks from developing super fast. She's really insecure about it and hates that part of herself a lot tbh. Please praise her I beg you.

Loves to sit in a hot bath with rose petals. Spa treatment is all he knows about skincare really.

Has like four perfumes she normally uses. One is a sweet smelling perfume that has soft sugary notes that make you drool. The second smells like delicate roses with dewdrops from the morning mist. The second smells like berries and forests, as if you're about to pick some yourself. The last one smells like the pandan leaves with mangoes. Basically, Momo smells like paradise.

Actually loves buying cheap lip-glosses and lipsticks!! Her favourite is this shimmery golden lipgloss which changes colour depending on the light that she's in. Only uses it on very special occasions though. Otherwise, her best one is usually a moderately red lipstick or a cute red tinted lipgloss which just slightly colours her lips. Makes her lips so adorably kissable. (I'm gay for her okay shut up-)

Okay, we all know for a fact Momo be thicc. But she doesn't really like it honestly. Her thicc comes from cellulite and it's so gross to her. Uses a stiff, dry brush to move the fat around a by so she's more evened out in thiccness.

Mina:

Pink alien queen!

Acid comes out of her skin daily, this means really dry skin. Dry like sometimes peel off dry. It's really bad.

Just like Toru, really cares about skincare. Although a little less than Toru but still.

Toners are her best friends because her pores sometimes open up due to her quirk. Acid can damage them sometimes too, so mild, hydrating toners are great for skin like her's.

HAND CREAM AAAAAAAAAAA

Whilst she isn't rich enough to have a bunch of handcream like Momo, she has this specific handcream that smells like candy and marshmallows. It's. So. Good. Also makes her hands soft and silky like gahdhhd-

Cream is also a good friend of hers. Uses both night and day cream to make sure her skin stays plump and hydrated!

Uses potato slices instead of cucumbers so that her dark eyebags aren't too bad. She normally doesn't get em so this rarely happens.

Also uses lots of vanilla and almond body cream. Soft and silky skin that can make anyone want to hug her. (IM SO GAY SHUT UP)

Uses lip masks! Loves those Korean or Japanese candy ones! They really leave her lips luscious for any kisses!

Speaking about Korean and Japanese stuff, SHE ADORES THEM.

Korean stuff the most! They always provide her with great results, so they're her go to when she has a really dry day. Loves using their hydration masks!

Uses lip tattoos because she hates the feeling of lipgloss or lipstick. Plus, it doesn't leave a mark.

Mina also thicc, but she's more of a muscular thicc than fat thicc. This means she needs to use body oil to make sure her thighs and skin are tight and smooth.

She uses lasers to get rid of her hairs. Somehow her hairs are immune to her acid. She uses laser treatment to make sure she doesn't have to deal with it often. You wouldn't even know she has hair tbh because of the treatment.

Mina smells like coconuts and sea-salt with a hint of lime or mint depending on her mood. She smells like what'd you smell in a 5 star island resort as you walk on the white sandy beaches and sit in the bar watching the sunset go down on the horizon just hhh-

Feet are baby smooth?? Dunno why. They're just naturally soft and beautiful and shfhd when she rubs her feet against your legs it's so soft it's like she rubbed petals on your legs-

Speaking about petals! She loves having baths with either bubbles or petals with some candles to calm down. Definitely after a hard day of training!! Don't disturb!

Tsu:

Tsu literally doesn't use skin items at all.

She has a normal skin type and also never gets acne somehow???? Like bro hecc tell me your ways.

She's not clueless about it like Momo, but she just has no use for it since her skin's just kinda perfect like hello what-

She is a frog though, so she really need that moisture!! Jacuzzi baths are like her favourite thing.

Ooh, also really likes those clay masks! That's the only skincare item she actually uses to be real with y'all.

Okay okay hear me out though, Tsu is a hoe for those kiddie slime baths. Like I'm not even kidding she loves it so hecking much but she would never admit it in any lifetime.

Also really loves it if you get her a whole big bag of those resin pellets that turn into those little jelly balls and she just goes into a bath of those??? Gosh yes paradise hecc

Smells like a dewy forest with hints of citrus and earthy tones. She's got that scent that's really unique and like you can walk by with a blindfold and point her out by smell alone.

Oops by the way she really enjoys having cucumbers on her eyes. She has natural eyebags, so she normally counters it with both cucumber and potato slices.

There's a secret tradition that runs in her family to get rid of wrinkles. They steam a small, knobbly hand towel with warm water and then rub it in circular motions on their face slowly going upwards. Works really heccing well.

Honestly, Tsu doesn't really care about her looks. Skincare or makeup for her is just an additional bother that she has to deal with.

Her skin is never pruney. Makes sense why though.

Mei:

Eyy because you asked so nicely! Tbh to me Camie from Shiketsu is best girl but like okay Mei is qt-

She's always covered in grime and dirt, so she actually gets acne daily. She just has really great skin routines!

Has a combination skin type, her forehead is the oiliest compared with the rest of her far though. Yuck.

When she stops tinkering (haha when does she do that-), she immediately goes and washes her face with an oil face wash. It helps properly cleanse her pores from all the grime and dirt that was on her face.

Sometimes, she has a really grimy day, so she uses a harsh clay wash just to make sure EVERYTHING IS OUT. Then uses a hydrating toner and a very light daycream!

Exfoliates every two weeks to make sure her skin isn't gross. Skin cells need to turn over every two weeks, so she makes sure she does that or she'll literally have pimples scattered on her forehead.

Is a popper. She hates seeing pimples and immediately pops them on site with some gloves. Then puts a miniscule dab of antiseptic cream so that it don't come back and spread.

Mei smells like petrol. Literally. When she stays out of the lab for a week though, she actually smells like caramel and cotton candy.

Has calluses on her from tinkering so much. She doesn't like it. Please trace and caress them gently and she'll love you.

She uses body oil because it feels more normal than body cream. Can lead her to being clumsy because she sometimes sloshes it on her body and then she has to wait a while before she can actually do things.

Salt block. Hates deodorant. Masks the smell of grime in the lab and she LIVES for that smell.

Uses charcoal face masks to relax and detox. Helps her think of her next baby to create as well, so bonus!

Likes going to those floating pods. They're really relaxing and make her feel at ease in the world.

Bubble baths are a no no. She had a really bad experience with them once when she tried to make a bubble telescope and put it to her eye. Let's just say she used to be able to see farther…

She enjoys using lipgloss though! Her lips smell like cake or cookie dough even though they're normally coloured in a neutral pink or a soft red. Even tastes like strawberries and cream.

Takes hecking great care of her hands. Her hands are meticulously the most gorgeous part of her. They're soft, velvety, and while they are callused, it only adds to its perfections and they're just so stunningly manicured and she does it all by herself like oh my god her hands are just bdbdkfgjfk-

Since anon has some bad acne, I actually have some advice since I myself care a heck ton about my skin.

Oil based face wash goes incredibly well with a foam cleanser. Using both gets rid of all the dirt, oil, makeup and residue in your pores. Best stuff and keeps me clear.

EXFOLIATE PLEASE!! Get one of those cute exfoliating scrubs or literally make the one Ochaco uses. They're really important to do because your dead skin cells can cause more acne and bumps.

When you have bad acne, I suggest using only light daycreams after you wash your face because night creams can be too much. Also use a nice organic toner so that your pores are tight and can't get much dirt or gross things during the day/night.

Charcoal is the best face mask for detoxing and decreasing oil levels. But don't use it when you have pimples. It can actually cause more pimples to come because you're stripping your ace of the natural oils it needs.

That said, make sure to wash your face at least twice a day! Thrice is okay too, but four is too much. Make sure to moisturise immediately after too!

Sunscreen is so important. Get yourself a face cream that has at least an SPF of 30. Please. Cancer is real and the sun's rays can make you seem to age faster.

Woof, that was a loooot. Next time, please be specific with characters anon! I didn't mind, but I normally only do about 3 characters. I'm not doing much yet so this is cool but yeah. Thank you so much for requesting though and ACKEJKRKN YOU'RE A CUTIE ILY THANK YOU FOR LOVING MY WORK!!

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted?

I wrote fewer stories than I expected, but they were far longer than I expected. I wrote a lot of 11k fics.

genre: I don’t feel like I had a certain genre I wrote a lot of tbh.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?

THE POKEMON GAMES! Like, oh my god. I wrote fanfiction about soul silver. I wrote fanfiction about POKEMON WHITE. what. the fuck. Like, technically the first fic i ever wrote was about pokemon but i never expected to do it again.

Did you take any writing risks this year?

I wrote 2 very long asoiaf fics about difficult subject matter. Combined, they add up to more than 40 thousand words of fic.

Do you have any fanfic or general writing goals for the new year?

Fanfiction wise, I would like to finish up some of my wips and try to improve.

In general, I would like to figure out more what I want my writing to look like moving forward and how to go about that. I’m experiencing some growing pains, so I need to reassess my style and strategy and see what I need to readjust moving forward.

Best story of this year: Paint a New Horizon

This feels like a bit of a cop out since it’s the longest, but I am very firmly the most proud of this fic out of anything I wrote this year. I feel like the emotional bits were satisfying, the romance worked nicely, and the action kept me interested in a way that almost never does. I was able to commit to TWENTY THREE THOUSAND WORDS and put my ALL INTO IT! that is. monumental for me. I’ve written long fics in the past, but those were chaptered and frankly, not as good as this one was or as much work.

I love this verse so well that I might actually go back and write more in it later when I have time. I have the beginnings of a sequel ruminating around in my drats.

Most popular story of this year: normally I split this up into multiple categories, but by hits, kudos, OR comment threads The Times They Are a Changin’ comes out on top. The mcu fandom really went nuts over Carol and Maria, didn’t they?

Personal favorite:

Washing Machine Heart is a fic that I hold close to my heart. 1. I wrote this one when I was on a study abroad in Latin America, which is the coolest thing that I have ever done 2. it’s just. really well done. I’ve never written something quite so messy and unpleasant in a realistic way before. It’s ugly in the way that Steven Universe: Future is ugly right now. In exactly the way that “Washing Machine Heart” should imply 3. oh god was it cathartic

Most under-appreciated:

Maternal, Paternal at 71 kudos, I know I shouldn’t call this one “under-appreciated”, but it’s in a few VERY happening tags, in a very happening fandom with a VERY popular set of characters. I’d think that people would be more interested in reading “Endeavor is an asshole and eventually Dabi kills him” but like. it’s whateves I guess XD

Most fun to write:

We Could Be Heroes both semesters that I had during 2019 were. super fucking stressful. the only times that I’ve had that were productive for fic was January break, summer vacation, and December break.

Last April on my birthday, though, I rewarded myself and after I got home from hanging with some friends I just sat down at my laptop and didn’t think about literally anything. I just wrote. I took a format that I knew I liked and didn’t have to think about (talk show format with an OC I already made for a different story) and then 3 characters I was very interested in then (Melissa Shield, Monica Rambeau, and Tahani Al-Jamil) and then I just. ran with it. I wrote and wrote and wrote and it was amazing. I didn’t think about it being good or about my homework or literally anything other than this talk show lady talking to these three cool characters.

It was wonderful. 10/10 would do it again.

Story with the single sexiest moment:

Familiarity. It is literally the only thing I wrote this year with ANY sex in it, so it’s automatically the sexiest. Way to go Margaery you did it.

Shouto Todoroki Joins the Supervillain Dads Club I hoped to finish this fic last year in January. It’s currently December and I haven’t been able to look at the thing since.

I think it’s mainly because I just lost the drive, but it’s also kind of because wips stress me the fuck out. And also I had 2 stressful semesters so that doesn’t help. Favorite character to write: my favorite characters to write this year were both Todorokis! Dabi and Fuyumi are both a joy to write, I swear

Favorite opening lines:

Serena falls down at the kitchen table feeling as cold and distant as the room does. The harsh lines and open floor plan were supposed to show a minimalism only possible with wealth, but to Serena it's always felt empty.

Surprisingly, Theon’s life does not change much either way after Maron is taken to the Greenlands. Balon does not magically start paying attention to him, even though he’d prayed every night to the Drowned God that he would.

Pretty Little Thrall

The Twins are a grand fortress spanning the width of the Green Fork. A great stone tower stands on each side of the river, with a greater bridge running in between. The Frey stable boys have taken their horses, and Jeyne walks as close to the river as she dares as they make their way to the tower. She watches the river rush beside her in awe. She’s never seen a river run so wild before. It seems like the very waters rushing beside her want to rise up and drown her themselves.

That's what she gave up fighting the Kree for, and Carol will do everything that she can to bring them back. She's stopped fighting for some things, but she'll never stop fighting for this. If the times don't change on this one, she'll make them. She dared a glance forward and met Margaery’s eyes- a deep, chocolate brown. They were warm and inviting and Margaery’s little curly bangs framed her face like a heart. Margaery’s head went over the back of the booth and it seemed to almost be floating against the flowery wallpaper. It looked like Margaery was lying out in a field of flowers- the Maiden gazing up at the clouds and trying to make shapes of them.

She could imagine Margaery telling her that this one is a flower, like Tyrell, and this one’s a deer, like Baratheon, and this one’s a dick, like Joffrey. She giggled nervously again and felt her cheeks flush. She’d never felt this giddy and unsteady in her whole life.

“Are you alright, Sansa?” Margaery asked cautiously. She reached across the table and laid a hand over Sansa’s own. The touch was warm and tender, and Sansa felt the blush from her toes to the tip of her head.

“I’m perfect!” Sansa nearly screeched. Margaery laughed at that, but her look was kind.

“Yes, darling,” she said with a smile that was wide and fond, “I think that you are.”

Lesbian. The word wasn’t supposed to fill her with such a warm, hopeful feeling, was it? She wiggled awkwardly in her chair, trying to get situated and stop feeling so silly and excited and vulnerable, but it didn’t fix anything. She felt Margaery’s leg brush against hers under the table. It sent a jolt through her.

Lesbian.

Sansa took a shaky breath. She thought to herself that there might be something to that.

Nickname: uh, i tend to get TK or TayKay quite a bit. i had a teacher in high school who exclusively referred to me as girl scout for the entire last semester. other than that, i got nothing.

Height: 5′7

Last Movie I Saw: bohemian rhapsody. if you’re thinking ‘damn, didn’t that leave theatres ages ago?’... that’s exactly how often i get around to watching movies.

Dream Job: tbh if i could live my whole life being some sort of instagram influencer (although NOT the type that sells shitty detox teas and hair vitamins because both of those products are garbage, and advocating unhealthy weight loss is like, the opposite of okay, but like, the type that travels the world and shit - that seems like a fun life)

Dream Trip: i really want to get back to london/the uk in general at some point this year? i’ve got some friends from when i was at oxford that i’d love to see, as well as heaps of internet friends that i want to finally meet in person.

Favorite Food: french fries, donuts, and sesame tofu from the chinese takeout place down the street.

Play an Instrument: i can still sorta play piano? i was great at it as a kid but definitely haven’t played as much since, and now all i’m good for is chords and the occasional simple melody.

Languages: english is the only one i’m fluent in. i can read and write french pretty well, but for some reason i’m trash at comprehending spoken french. i also know some basic spanish, but for some reason my brain gets confused and i like to respond to spanish with french - i did this a lot in costa rica last week and it became an ongoing joke with the bartenders

I finally purchased the full line of Believe Beauty. This is sold at Dollar General. Each product costs no more than $5.00. I will be reviewing the full line tomorrow.

Pretty and Primed Hydrating Primer: 1 fluid ounce. On the back on my hand i felt like a moisturizer… this is very hydrating and has no scent.

Skin Finish Foundation: .85 fluid ounces. This is a medium to full coverage foundation and I chose the shade Nude. This feels like it’s going to be a dewy foundation, it also has no scent.

Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer : .07 ounces. I picked it up in the shade Light/Medium, I’m not sure how well this one will perform…. it felt a bit waxy. It’s a salmon based concealer so it should be good for the dark circles.

You’re Covered Liquid Concealer: .15 fluid ounces. I purchased the shade Light Beige. It was the lightest shade they had at the Dollar General I went to. It’s a spot on shade match for me so that means it will not help brighten my undereyes. It feels light weight and creamy without being too emollient.

Matte Blur Loose Powder: .14 ounces. In the shade Translucent.

Brow Defining Pencil: .02 ounces. This is a pencil that needs to be sharpened. I purchased the shade Dark Brown. This swatch is 1 swipe of the pencil, it seems very pigmented and creamy.

Long Lasting Eyeliner: .01 ounces. I purchased the shade Mystic, it’s a taupeish brown with a slight sheen to it. It seems creamy but I tested it on my waterline and it did not lay down. This is a self sharpening pencil.

Hi-Definition Skinny Mascara: .22 fluid ounces. I purchased the shade black. The wand is small and sort of reminds me of the brush on the MAC Gigablack mascara.

Eye Brow Styling Gel: .02 ounces. It’s got the standard eye brow brush. I purchased the clear one.

Satin Crush Lipstick: .13 ounces. I purchased the shade Moroccan Spice. It seems sheer but creamy.

Lustrous Shine Lip Gloss : .15 fluid ounces. I purchased the shade Georgia Peach. From the hand swatch I can tell this is one sticky lip gloss. I mean super sticky… not sure I’m going to like this product.

Get Glowing Highlight and Contour Palette: .2 ounces. I purchased the Light/Medium compact.

Believe Beauty Eyeshadow Palette: .14 ounces. I purchased the Nearly Nude Palette.

I purchased all 3 items on Amazon. Photofocus Dewy Foundation $2.79 for .95 fluid ounces, Photofocus Dewy Primer $2.79 for .84 fluid ounces, Photofocus Concealer 3.99 for .29 ounces.

This primer is a spot on dupe for the Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($45 at Sephora). This primer leaves the skin looking so pretty.

I purchased the shade Soft Beige. I tested this foundation out today and really do like this foundation.

First of all, this shade is so light on me. It was great to highlight the center of my face with it but looked ghostly on my under eyes. I do not like this concealer. It just looked cakey and dry under my eyes. I will test it out 1 more time and if I still feel this way I will be decluttering it from my collection.

Loreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer ($5.99 at Target for .35 fluid ounces) I picked up the shade Cashmere. It’s the perfect shade for me. Like I said in my face of the day today. It just was too thick and to cakey, but that might have been because I used too much. I will try it again this week coming and see if i can get along with it, if not I will declutter it. On the right is ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer ($6 at Ulta for .203 fluid ounces) I chose the shade Light Sand…. it’s too pink based for me but I am going to try to make it work.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation ($39 for 1 fluid ounce at Ulta) , Multi-use Sculpting Concealer ($29 for .5 fluid ounces at Ulta) , and Turn Up The Light Face Palette ($42 for .17 ounces at Ulta)

The shades from left to right are Glow, Soft Focus, and Dazzle. I’ve used this palette 2 times already and I can tell you I really love the Soft Focus powder, it reminds me of the Hour Glass Ambient Light powders. I like the Glow Highlighter, it’s pretty and not too heavy. I just don’t like the Dazzle powder. It’s too glittery and dry textured.

I purchased the shade Warm Nude. It’s the perfect shade for me. I love this foundation so much!!! It’s dewy and full coverage, and melts into the skin seamlessly.

I purchased the shade vanilla. It’s the perfect shade for under the eyes, however this is such a thick formula. It creased like crazy. It took forever to blend it in. Now I might have used too much, so with that said I will try it again under the eyes using less product. If that doesn’t work I will keep this one to highlight the center of the face.

Burt’s Bees Blush in Bare Peach. I purchased this off Amazon for $8.99 for .017 ounces. You can find this at Target, Ulta, and CVS as well. This is just the perfect peach blush ever. My God daughter convinced me to purchase it and to try it out. I am so glad she did. I think this might be my new favorite blush of life.

Benefit Cookie Powder Highlighter ($30 at Ulta for .28 ounces). This is the most amazing highlighter ever!!! It’s super reflective and leaves the cheeks looking like the are wet. I am low key obsessed with this highlighter.

ELF Baked Eyeshadow Palette (I received this free as a gift with purchase on the ELF website however you can purchase it for $10 on their website) This is in the color way California. This palette does not swatch well at all. The shadows felt dry and dusty and rough. I don’t have high hopes for this palette, but I will try it out next week.

ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencils $5 for .002 ounces… In the shade Deep Brown. These are back ups. I am still working on the pencil I have.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34 at Sephora) and Lip Cheat Lip Liner ($22 at Sephora) both in the shade Pillow Talk (a nude pink). This hands down is my favorite lip color of life!!! This lipstick is very comfortable, doesn’t feather into the lip lines, and wears down evenly. The lip pencil is long wearing and doesn’t budge.

Alrighty. Methods. Of my team members, Chickweed and Sage are right out, they’re both weak to Water. Sequoia and Edel both resist Water, so they’re my best options. Sequoia’s actually a bit tankier, so once it’s paralysed, I’ll switch to her. My battle plan is: throw a Quick Ball. If that doesn’t work, Thunder Wave, do as much damage as I can, then throw my Net Ball. If that doesn’t work, Master Ball. I do not want to turn this into a prolonged battle, that’s how you get your Pokemon killed!

Man, Primal Kyogre looks so much cooler than the regular forme.

Quick Ball fails. It did get to the third rock, though! Body Slam, Oli tanks it. Thunder Wave and it’s paralysed! Can’t move :D Volt Switch it - oof, that did like no damage - and switch to Sequoia. She gets a Crunch in, then it Aqua Rings, oof. Another Crunch. It uses Origin Pulse, Sequoia tanks it. She’s on just over half, so I’ll try the Net Ball now? Nope. Paralysed, hah. Ohh, Crunched into the reds! Heck, let’s try a Premier Ball. For funsies. Okay no that didn’t work XD Yeah alright after more healing/damage/et cetera, I’ll just throw the fuckin’ Master Ball XD;;

Has it already been another week? Two weeks down; 11 to go! I’m over 15% of the way there! Cue excitement for Mexico!

Let’s start out this weekly review post by doing going day-to-day on the rewards I earned.

Day 8: Three small rewards; one medium.

Smashbox PhotoFinish Primer, FP. Not a bad primer, but it’s one I’ve used before, which means I’m kinda meh about writing a formal review.

Almay Liquid Lip Balm in 400 Lilac Love. Top swatch. I’m excited for this as it really does feel more smoothing rather than a sticky gloopy gloss.

TWP Ahh-vocado! Sample Vial. One word currently: YES. Review to come soon (hopefully, if I can ever get my stuff together and stop re-applying it every hour just because I love the smell).

Day 9: Three small and one large reward

This day was the first day I got “nothing” as a reward for doing a behavior (5/5 goals achieved, but note only 4 rewards). I felt a little irritated, despite knowing it was a possibility. That said, I also knew I could get a reward the next time, so I didn’t feel unmotivated, which is the point of the system. Anyway, this day, I got:

Missha All Around Safe Waterproof Sun Milk. I used this on Saturday, and I think I like it but I’m not sure. It was very thin and easily rubbed into my skin. I will most likely not do a full review, but it is added to my list of potential sunscreens to repurchase.

Etude House Double Lasting Foundation Foils in Fair, Vanilla, and Ivory. I received a couple packets last week in a few other shades, and I believe I have one packet left to “complete” the collection. Once it’s complete, I’ll do swatches and a wear test on a color, if one is close enough to my skin tone.

Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Brightening Oil. I’ll be honest; I’m scared to use this. It’s in my queue, though.

Anskin Cool-Ice Modeling Mask. This was my “large” reward, and I’m very excited. I haven’t used it yet because I told a friend that once I earned it, I would wait to use it until we could try it together! I still haven’t told her 😛

Day 10: One small reward.

This day was a particularly hard day, in which I had a rough day while Boyfriend was at work, didn’t go to the gym due to a miscommunication, and then proceeded to eat too much because we ordered in dinner and I didn’t even bother attempting to estimate what I ate.

That said, I did drink enough water, and I earned Revlon’s Lipstick in 660 Berry Haute, which is a definite berry shade on me and one I am excited to review. My HG lipstick is this formula (Mauvy Night), just as an FYI. I’m biased.

Day 11: One small, one medium, and one large reward (+ one “nothing”).

After Day 10, Day 11 felt much better. It started off with going to the gym, and even though it involved too much ice cream and eating out with my parents, I felt much happier and did manage to talk myself into tracking what I ate, even though I felt ashamed to admit just how much ice cream I consumed… I still did 4/5 behaviors and earned 3 rewards for it!

CoverGirl Katy Kat Matte Lipstick in Kitty Purry. This is the top swatch, and it… well, it looks an awful lot like Delicious, a color I got last week. Still excited though! I picked this color out very thoughtfully.

Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Lip Balm in #1 Spilled Wine. This is the second swatch. It’s a grape-jelly smelling gel-like lip balm that is tinted to look like a dark red wine (“spilled wine”) but provides a lovely slight berry stain. I have two more colors waiting to be earned, and once I do, there will definitely be full reviews.

Etude House Play Color Eyes in Juice Bar. After being disappointed with the Blend quad, I was a little nervous about this. So far, it has swatched nicely, but it is quite warm with quite a bit of oranges! I’m interested in seeing how these work on my eyes.

Day 12: One small, one medium, and one large reward

1/2 Medium Reward for my small reward- I realized I have a lot of medium products compared to the most likely scenario, and I can’t seem to find much more small rewards to reach that most likely scenario. So I added a bunch of these!

CoverGirl TruNaked Roses Palette. Swatches off to the side. I have done a look with this already, and I find that it works really well with my eyes.

Blinc Electric Eyes Palette. This is the one I got from my Boxycharm this week, so I’m really excited to get this so soon! It swatched beautifully (not shown).

Day 13: Three small rewards and one medium.

1/2 Medium Reward- another one!! This is the second “1/2 medium” I’ve gotten this week, but I waited until the end of the week to “cash” these in.

CoverGirl InstantCheekBones in 230 Refined Rose. Swatches are there on the bottom right. I’ve been wanting to try these trios because I’m curious about their formula (compared to the other Cheekers). Hopefully will be reviewing!

The Organic Pharmacy Lip + Eye Cream. This is a deluxe sample tube, and I’m not sure if I want to open it yet. I’m currently working on a 5ml tube of eye cream, and it’s taking forever to pan.

Weekly Thoughts and Recap

This week I lost another couple pounds, so I’m down just over five. I don’t like getting too specific into the numbers, but at the beginning as I’m still planning my food intake and exercise, I do feel the need to hone in fast-enough-but-not-too-fast, you know? I think about 2/week is a good pace.

This week I had two days in which I did not meet my energy balance awareness goals- Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Boyfriend and I miscommunicated about the gym and we ended up not going and instead ordering food (he wasn’t going to eat a real dinner… sorry, honey, but diet orange soda has no nutrients). I couldn’t even guess at what was in my dinner nutrition-wise, so I didn’t. On Saturday, my parents were in town and we went out to eat. I did guess at that one, but I ended up splitting a giant thing of ice cream with my sister, parents, and Boyfriend because I’d rather have memories and fun with people I love than lose an extra half a pound, tbh.

In terms of how I think the program is going: this was the first week in which I had the possibility of getting no reward for doing a behavior. I did notice feeling disappointment the three times that happened, but that isn’t what kept me away from my goals. I’ve noticed that my anxiety is one thing that keeps me from the gym. I don’t know how to adjust rewards to deal with this; I just need to work through some of that anxiety. I know that even if I were to insta-give myself a large reward (even the large ones I’m very excited for), I would probably still not go to the gym when my issue is anxiety, and I still wouldn’t be more energy-minded if Boyfriend’s health/happiness was on the line or if I hadn’t seen my family in several weeks and we were going out to eat. I am 100% okay with this, as I still want to live my life. The main point of this behavior mod is to be mindful of energy and choose non-food coping skills when my emotions are unbalanced.

Next week, there will be a higher chance of getting a “nothing” reward, and I’m a little scared honestly that my motivation will start to fail. I have four more work days (Sat, Sun, Mon, and then Wednesday), and I’m nervous that with the group of kids we have currently, I’ll be coming home so drained that without massive rewards, I’ll just ruin my goals ): I’m going to try positive talk though so counteract this.
