Feel free to ignore you've probably got a lot going on right now, but considering you know a lot about DOTC and Clear sky, I had a question...
We know that he's a terrible, misogynistic, woman beating and war mongering lunatic who was excused of all his actions because his equally misogynistic brother said " But-But he's nice! Deep down! This isn't the real him! "
But! In a world where the Hunters could write such a character, what do you think Clear Sky would look like as an actual sympathetic villain?
Idk if that makes sense, but what I've thought of doing is taking purely cannon Clear Sky and attempting to change him enough that he's still an antagonist, but not too far where only Reddit defends him.
I don't think he works as a sympathetic villain, on any level, ever. I think you're making a huge mistake to even try, and I have never seen an AU where it was done well nor am I interested in entertaining the thought.
Characters. Are. Tools. They exist to tell a story. The story that people tell me, by obsessing over some alternate universe where he was "ACTUALLY sympathetic and had a REAL redemption arc," is that they're not fucking interested in his dozens of victims. Nor do they actually care about the abusive impact he had on the minds and feelings of his family. They're JUST interested in Clear Sky himself.
Just like the Erins. Everything that happens in DOTC revolves around him. Everything. All his wives die so he can be sad about it. His brother defends all of his actions and BEGS you to sympathize with his pain so he can be 'redeemable.' One Eye comes out of nowhere so that there can be an example of "real" evil to contrast Clear Sky so he's less bad in hindsight.
The first three books of DOTC are bad, but the last three are fucking insufferable because SUDDENLY all that Gray Wing apologia pays off, and they take their main villain and throw him out a window. You CAN'T have "redeemable" Clear Sky and the plot of DOTC without dragging in someone else to drive the conflict, to BE the bigger threat to "unite" against. Slash and One Eye have to be conjured up out of thin air so Clear Sky can WHINE about how people only suck his toes instead of deepthroat them after he killed all their friends.
And yet, in spite of this absolute failure of an attempt, we continue to see this bullshit "redemption" be a mistake because Clear Sky is a fantastic villain, with major antagonist roles in nearly EVERY bit of follow-up material for DOTC that came after.
He's the most consistent monster in all of Warriors.
He's a fragile, egotistical, self-absorbed megalomaniac who ALWAYS sees himself as the victim, REFUSING to self-reflect and blaming everything else for all of his terrible choices. He will USE your love of him against you like it's a chain through your nose, step out of line and he will yank you into place with guilt trips, manipulation, public shaming, and violence.
He's a child abuser. He's a tyrant. He abandons the sick and disabled as soon as they're of no use to him, with grand speeches about "illness" and "weakness." He's a murderer who stands above the shredded corpse of his victim and bellows, "I'M NOT GREEDY! I'M JUST STRONG!"
And you'd write a "good" redemption arc for this, why?
Why are people so chronically unable to accept that there are LOTS of people like him, and you can't save your abuser? Why don't you ask yourselves why you're not interested in exploring Thunder, or Petal, or Gray Wing, and how his toxic influence impacts them? Why does the sympathy fall on Clear Sky? What about the DOZENS of victims who are dead by Book 3, and how THEY could have been saved?
Why ruin a perfectly good villain?
What's behind this trend where a billion people say to me, "Yes Clear Sky is a walking cavalcade of fucked up abuse apologia, and an incredibly realistic depiction of an abuser, but how would you change this while keeping it all the same?"
I wouldn't. You can't. It wouldn't be the same story, or it wouldn't be the same character. Never seen it done well, and I have seen it a lot. So I don't entertain this deeply frustrating "Well What If Clear Sky But Nice" impulse.
#The closest I'll ever get to that is Fallenleaf. And she lost it all#And spent years in the time-out tunnel#BAD KITTIES GO IN THE PEAR WIGGLER TO BE SUFFICIENTLY WIGGLED.#I don't think people in power typically change. If they do it's so rare it's not worth entertaining. Camel through the eye of a needle shit#and I mean ALL powers. this goes for abusive relationships too. I think they need to lose that power before they change.#When you have power. REAL power. You can fill those holes with it. You can force people to not leave.#so im actively hostile to stories that winge and cry about giving powerful people endless sympathy and chances#You've already shown me what you want to do with your power and as long as you keep it you haven't seen your consequences.#Power reveals.#It doesn't corrupt. It reveals.#DOTC hate#clear sky's redemption arc#If you're in an abusive relationship or under a terrible boss or in some other bad environment. You won't fix it.#You are not responsible for fixing it.#You can't fix it.#And they will not change. so GET OUTTA THERE#And that's who he functions best as. To me.#He's the bastard you need to escape.#And that's infinitely more compelling to me than Nice Clear Sky Attempt 32324#I don't write stories that beg you to sympathize with tyrants and keep your heart open to some maybe-change on the horizon#I write stories where they ruin everything they touch and have to be forcefully yanked out of power before they hurt more people.#And also screw every related take that's like 'ohhh after 5000 years of having his toes sucked he regrets it a bit :('#no he fucking wouldn't. he had his toes sucked for 5000 years. He's vindicated by how fondly he's remembered.#You can't fucking tell me that he doesnt REVEL in how violent the culture became. That him being offended about the clan's exile-#--was anything but him being offended his namesake was going away. That he wouldn't parade around like every choice he ever made was right.#''I made some vague mistakes which I will never name. BUT Im never wrong and always did it my way even if it was hard''#If you haven't met a person like that I envy you.#bone babble#Nothing makes me mad quite like this character#Again I yell about his brother a lot because he's widely loved by the fandom

svsss AU, at the edge of the Abyss, LBH shouts, prays and pleads and cries that he'll do anything to make it right.
And by this point, SY has put in so many changes that LBH is distinct from Character!LBH and has a fully autonomous soul.
(For context LQG is the same way bc he was supposed to be dead)
so the System pops up for LBH and asks him to confirm that he'd give up anything or do anything to keep USER 002 from hating him and throwing him away.
He doesn't know what this spirit is, but he would deal with the Yama Kings themselves to get the cold look out of Shizun's eyes, so he agrees.
SY's countdown suddenly stops.
[Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations! Important things must be said three times! Protagonist Halo received!]

to put a long story short: at the end of ffxiv's base game, literally Directly before the beginning of its first expansion (heavensward), there is a series of quests and story arcs that eventually snowball into an hour-long cutscene in which the entire thing comes to a head in the literal worst way possible. like, "the hero's plans all go horribly wrong and several major characters die onscreen, with others going missing (presumed dead), eventually culminating in the player character being framed for the murder of the leader of a nation-state and being Literally Forced To Flee The Country" wrong.
heavensward leads directly on from this plotline. you arrive at the major location of the expansion in the midst of seeking asylum whilst being a wanted criminal everywhere else in the world right now. it's like. A Whole Thing. the game makes such a big deal out of it all. the fandom does as well. and for good reason!! it's a really good moment!!!!!!
and then roughly 1/3rds of the way into heavensward you find out that literally none of it mattered. nobody important actually died, no changes were actually made to the status quo, and nothing comes of being literally kicked out of the country for (what is implied to be) several in-universe weeks, if not months. None Of It Mattered. None.
TLDR; the bloody banquet is a major, exciting, and very infamous twist that seems like it's going to segway into a MAJOR upheaval of the status quo and some really intriguing ramifications for the story as a whole... and then heavensward does away with literally all of that and practically writes the entire thing off as a waste of time.
you may be able to see why i'm so salty about it.
#also worth noting that the nation-state leader (who's death was The one you were framed for)#was assassinated specifically because she was trying to reform her country's merchantile incredibly corrupt leadership system#into a more bearable democracy that would give voice to the people instead of the greedy scumbags currently in power#one of the members of the syndicate (a group of rich people who at this point have more power than the sultana- her)#tried to kill her bc. well. obviously reformation would mean they wouldnt be in control anymore.#and so her supposed death is the big crux of the bloody banquet#and then. THEN. heavensward goes OUT OF ITS WAY to reveal she is not only ALIVE AND PERFECTLY FINE#(she got drugged with the classic fantasy eternal sleep that looks like death medication)#but that her plan for reformation was ACTIVELY STUPID. she DOESN'T GET TO DO IT. NOTHING ABOUT THE STATE OF UL'DAH CHANGES#THE GAME JUST TELLS YOU BETTER GUYS ARE IN CHARGE NOW AND EXPECTS YOU TO BE FINE WITH THAT?#AS THOUGH THE ORIGINAL PLAN TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM ENTIRELY WAS THE FLAWED PART OF THIS EQUATION?#god. i hate it so much. if you're not gonna change the status quo at least have the balls to kill off a character for christ's sake#i can rant abt it all day. it's just such a travesty on every level#yin-thoughts#ffxiv#also for the record ''bloody banquet'' is a fan term. the whole thing isnt called anything in-universe iirc#it's just a catchy title for an infamous sequence wherein people die at a banquet. you know how it be#it's just. god. something about it is just so utterly vile. the game all but looks nanamo (and to some extent the player) in the eyes#and goes How Dare You Try And Change The System. You're Stupid For Thinking This Could Work.#it feels so disingenuous and mean spirited and now the entire thing just leaves the worst possible taste in my mouth#and it SUCKS. because the bloody banquet scene itself is INCREDIBLE. but the way the game handles it after it happens is just#so bad!! it's so bad!!!! aughhhh it's so so so so so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!#the ffxiv writers are so in love with preserving the norm and so terrified of changing it up and/or killing off established characters#ive ranted abt it before and knowing myself i'll rant about it many a time again. it just sucks man#ffxiv crit

my problem is that i've driven myself in a corner by arguing "isagi's nel arc stories are unsatisfying on purpose (and they're secretly brilliant)" and man. you never want to be in a position to argue that any story is bad on purpose, i mean i'll keep doing it for blue lock specifically (and keep posting about how this should be done for blue lock specifically) but no one else should do it

No no, don't spare me the 700 words of character rambling. I want to read it. Please?
IF YOU INSIST ANON =D
(admittedly it's closer to 600 words now after editing lol)
(this is partly cyrano au stuff, partly general character ramblings)
OK SO JING WEN.
In canon we don’t really know too much about his motives towards Ling Wen other than he wants to wear her down and destroy her reputation, and this stems from her showing him up in an essay contest. From the revision, we can also add plagiarism to his sins – he knows Ling Wen is more talented than him and despises her for it, especially because she’s a woman. (Although I think her lack of scholarly background also heavily plays into it. She isn't a woman from a family of scholarly officials. She's a shoeseller who writes letters on the side to make ends meet.)
For the Cyrano (but not really Cyrano) AU, I’ve added a layer of lust and entitlement towards his feelings for Ling Wen. He was the one who discovered her! He rescued her from a life in prison and made her a junior heavenly official! People remember her name and her story because of him! He’s her hero!
And he thinks that it’s about time she acts like it! Ling Wen wants to keep her head down and avoid him as much as possible. Do whatever job he wants from her and hope it keeps him in a good enough mood to leave her alone. Except Jing Wen wants to reduce her to the girl who was saved by him and devotes herself to him in return. It drives him crazy that she does not, and would even dare to get close to other men (PM & SWD) when she treats him (him!) with barely concealed contempt. He discovered her! She was no one before him and he is the only one who can have her! (and her talents!)
This is meant to contrast this AU’s Shi Wudu who also discovers her hidden talent when he exposes Jing Wen's plagiarism (mostly by accident) and immediately falls for her brain and wants to see what she can do with it when she isn’t tied down by Jing Wen and his ego. He finds her interesting, a match for himself (one of two people he’ll acknowledge as such), and rather than save her, he wants to give her the tools she needs to save herself because it’s much more fun for him that way. (This is also the real reason Bai Jing is not in this AU, because he treats Ling Wen with genuine kindness and doesn’t have any kind of pedestal or expectations in return and I think given everything she has been through at that point, that genuineness would be more attractive to Ling Wen over someone who wants to make a girlboss out of her. If there’s no BJ to compare against, I think LW would be a little more receptive to SWD’s feelings.) (Although both are interesting to think about.) (Also on a sidenote, even in AUs where he isn’t explicitly in love with her like this one, my SWD always ends up a bit of a dogged nice guy towards LW, ready to do anything she asks. This is partly because she helped him with the fate swap, and partly because he REALLY values her friendship. There’s a bit of a second-love aspect to their relationship from Ling Wen’s side because she knows SWD feelings towards her but it’s not the same love that BJ made her feel.)
And also because I just like talking about him, Jing Wen’s possessiveness and refusal to be shown up by a woman also kinda contrasts Pei Ming a bit, since he’s also a traditionalist and believes the guy should save the girl (and would be pushing SWD in that direction in his pseudo-cyrano role), but he’s also capable of acknowledging that if that doesn’t win her love, it doesn’t win her love (not that that’s ever been an issue for him personally) – and if a woman shows you up, the solution is to Do Better and show off properly to her later (this is him with the Rain Master. Anytime she gets the better of him, he sulks for a bit and then sets out to show her how cool he actually is. He wants her acknowledgment!)
#random tgcf thoughts#tgcf#the cyrano (but not really cyrano) au#one of these days i'll write the ling wen backstory frankencanon of my dreans haha#which this au is a bit of an offshoot off#idk i just find the whole xuli backstory incredibly fascinating#and especially just interesting a character jing wen is#considering he only appears in one scene in the original tgcf#and doesn't physically appear at all in the revision (his presence is there in the flashback but he never gets any actual scenes)#that one scene just reveals so much about him; lw; pm; and xuli#(and that's on top of what rong guang also reveals about xuli)#xuli ends up having a very rich history where jing wen is from a distant past where the kingdom was likely prospering#and he holds on to those glory days of it#then ling wen was born in an era where corruption was much more rampant and her essay's victory reflects that#things were likely even worse in pei ming's time (although xuli was waging and winning a lot of wars with him in command)#and this culminated in an actual military coup that pei ming stopped with his own hands#(whatever rong guang's actual motives for the coup was (whether he believed pm would be a better king or wanted to seize power himself)#i think there was already plenty of dissatisfaction among both the military and the populace for the current state of affairs#that he could justify his cause)#(but also there's a comment about how pm thought the current king wasn't that bad so it could also be that pm's xuli was improving a bit#compared to ling wen's xuli)#but then of course after pm's era we get bai jing's era and everyone agrees that the kingdom is a wretched hive of scum and villainy#and on the verge of collapse...#(sorry to ramble but there is a reason the three tumors and all characters related to them are my favorites xD)

What about au where smiler was partially marmalised and works for the ministry and is trying to manipulate Victor and Alice into getting marmalised and becoming advocates
*waggles hand* So, not opposed to such an AU, but it would have to end with Alice and Victor getting Smiler out of the Ministry instead of Smiler successfully getting them to become Advocates. Reason being is, well, a Smiler working for the Ministry and trying to manipulate Victor and Alice is an unethical mind controller! And we know what Alice does to unethical mind controllers:
Tumblr media
[ID: Animated gif by thedestinysunknown of the moment in A:MR when Alice, in her Wonderland form, shoves Bumby off the platform of the Underground station and into the path of an oncoming train]
Yeaaah, if you've ever thought my Smiler seems a little nice when compared to the coaster's actual theme, that's the reason. I had to give them ethics, otherwise they were going to get stabbed. So yeah, an AU like that would have to be along the lines of Smiler trying to get Victor and Alice to join up, only for Victor and Alice to instead show THEM how the Ministry is actually not really interested in happiness and is pretty evil honestly and get them out of there. (Which is actually not dissimilar to what happens in my Londerland Bloodlines AU (after the events of the game), where Smiler THINKS they've joined a group interested in making people happy and helping them through rough patches in their lives, but in fact the Ministry they've fallen in with is Ministry as in "Formerly The Followers of Set," and THEY'RE more interested in corrupting people with false joy...awful shame that they end up targeting Victor...)

I wrote out a whole post talking about how in Zoen's capacity as the Deathlord, she tends to present herself as extremely closed-off and hostile to outsiders in order to protect the Ebon Blade via nurturing folks' fear of them ( weakness is death, weakness is death, if he has learned one thing in life and after it's that weakness is death ) but that's .... just how Zoen always is, lmao.

I love how grim was the original Naruto.
I really miss when adults were portrayed like that, like actual soldiers who had to indulge in several vices to control their PTSD. They smoke or do drugs or read porn or drink or become addicted to work or physical exercise. They are all perverted in their own ways, broken, traumatized, damaged.
I miss when they had big ass scars and when you could tell they were shinobis used to killing for a living just by looking at them.
I miss how Kishimoto used the kids view to make everything look kinda innocent at first, but slowly turned everything worse the more that they lived to reveal to real shinobi world, not how the kids dreamed it to be.
There was something so appealing to it, to the contrast of innocence vs a world submerged in war and violence.
Kakashi starts the Land of the Waves arc being a funny dude with hearts in his speech bubbles and it progresses to Kakashi putting his hand through Haku's heart with a chidori. There's suicide and there's extortion and there's old men molesting Sakura and people being crucified and genocide and corruption and—
There are moments when you can feel the reality of their violence, like when Orochimaru appeared on The Forest of Death. He showed Sasuke and Sakura with a genjutsu how he'd decapitate them. Like when Hiruzen gave his soul to a demon to try and seal Orochimaru's soul too. Like when Gaara started killing people by exploding them with his sand. Like when Rock Lee was told that if he went along with the surgery he could die and if he did not he would never walk again. Like Orochimaru experimenting with kids or like when Neji revealed the secondary branch of the Hyuugas were slaves marked like cattle that would only find freedom if dead. Like Itachi forcing Sasuke to live again and again the Uchiha massacre with a genjutsu.
Shippuden has a lot of it. It is brilliant at times, but doesn't have the consistency of the original.

before i go to sleep need to talk about how insane the viktor as the mage that saved jayce as a child reveal was. at first i didn't really like it but it only makes sense. the mage was a perfect, benevolent, idealized version of the arcane. jayce spent his Whole damn life striving towards that mage, trying to recreate his talents and recreate his gift because he was so grateful for everything he did for him. and his whole dream for this began to revolve around viktor. his dream of hextech, his dream of magic. because it was always about viktor. because in the end he didn't want to give magic to the people, he just wanted his partner back. it was never about the arcane, not really. it was just about viktor. it was affection keeping them together. not to mention how viktor strays so drastically from this beautiful and altruistic version of magic as he gets obsessed with perfection and corrupted by the hexcore, and jayce is literally the only thing in any universe that can remind him what they were fighting for, not by bringing up anything to do with the arcane at all, but by talking about viktor himself; how he's beautiful, how he's perfect. by giving him back the stone that started his whole journey, and letting it end their journey together. like an exchanging of vows. because it was always about viktor. and the hextech doesn't matter as long as he has viktor, his motivation and energy and literal source of life for as long as he can remember. they saved each other's lives, more than once. to jayce, viktor is perfect and has always been perfect and always will be perfect. because they're literally soulmates i need to sit down

being the jjk villains' favorite 🖤🩸
incl: toji x f! reader, geto x f! reader, and sukuna x f! reader
smut under the cut [MDNI]
toji knew that you were tracking him long before you even found him. he was dangerously good at what he did. usually, he'd kill anyone that even dared to track him down, but oh, you were so pretty. he had to have you. within a few days, he let you find him at a bar. he had to bite back his chuckle at how excitement glimmered in your eyes. you truly believed that you, a beginner assassin, were going to be the one to catch and kill toji fushiguro. fuck, you were so cute.
he spent the entire night flirting with you, obsessing over how you slightly fumbled over your words and tried hard to hide how flustered you were. he could tell that you were attracted to him, especially with the way you were gently pressing your thighs together. eventually, he leaned over to whisper in your ear, "you can either continue with your hopeless plan to kill me," he enjoys the small gasp you let out when he reveals that he knew what you were up to the whole time. "or you can come find me later so i can help you with your little problem. your choice, doll."
that's how you ended up against the wall of his place with your legs wrapped around him, crying out his name as you cum on his cock multiple times. he mocks your whines, degrading you as he savagely thrusts into you. "dumb slut. can't even focus on your job 'cause all you were thinkin' about was getting your pussy filled. wouldn't be surprised if this was your plan all along." when you figure out that he's about to cum, you sink down to your knees, looking up at him expectantly as you stick your tongue out. "attagirl," he praises as he strokes himself. "didn't even have to tell you." he cums in your mouth with a grunt, and you swallow every drop, despite your body still trembling from all of your recent orgasms. "oh, you're filthy, i like you," he chuckles as he grabs your chin. "think 'm gonna keep you, doll."
---
suguru knew that it if he wanted all you, he'd have to change your mind first. despite him stealing you from jujutsu society and keeping you close, you were so stubborn; so deeply committed to saving non-sorcerers. that's okay. he was patient. he'd change your mind, and he was excited to do so. (one of my fav hcs is that he has a corruption kink.) he knew that you loved him, and he intended to use that to his advantage.
every time you begin to snap at him for killing non-sorcerers, he would just interrupt you with a small kiss. it's feather-light, but enough to fluster you and stop your mind from working properly. then he'd gently push you back so you were lying underneath him, giving you an easy smile. "aw, my love, did i make you upset?" of course, he doesn't care about the monkeys that he's killed. he only cares about you. before you know it, he's tugging your pants down and spreading your thighs, his thick fingers rubbing where he knows you're sensitive. his smile grows when you begin to moan. "there you go. let me make it all better, yeah?" getting you to forget what you were mad at him about was too easy.
soon, he's fucking you deep, whispering every filthy, depraved thought in your ear as he does. how he's not gonna stop what he's doing, how beautiful you are completely ruined underneath him, and how he's never ever letting you go. he chuckles when your body twitches, and your pussy begins to flutter around his cock, eventually making a wet mess on the sheets. "aw, did that make you cum? i knew it would." he puts two of his fingers in your mouth, and you suck without a word. "you're not actually upset about those monkeys. you just needed me to fuck you, didn't you?" satisfaction rushes through him when you nod, too fucked out to protest like you did earlier.
when he cums, it's deep inside of you, with his hand against your tummy. he imagines it swelling with the child you'll give him once he's finished creating the perfect world.
---
sukuna wanted you from the moment he saw you through itadori's eyes, and his blood would boil each time he saw you wrapped in satoru gojo's arms. the first night he fought with you, he had you pinned to the ground, and he whispered in your ear that you'd be his eventually and that he'll devour you once he gets rid of gojo. he enjoyed the way you'd blush anytime he teased you with flirtatious and sometimes lewd comments.
the day he does get his hands on you, he keeps every filthy promise he made. he makes you cum within two minutes with his fingers, then makes a mess out of you with his tongue. with four arms, it's so easy to hold you down and maneuver you into any position he wanted. "you've cum four times already, and i haven't even cum once," he says, watching your breasts bounce deliciously with each thrust as he fucks you. "such a greedy little thing, aren't you?"
he makes you watch your reflection in the large mirrors he takes you in front of so you could see how beautiful you are when you're all fucked out. if he's not showing you off to audiences in lavish clothes and jewelry, then he's fucking you in front of them, enjoying their jealous stares. every sorcerer and every curse on the planet will know that you belong to sukuna.

You are the daughter of Sauron and everyone is obsessed with you as they are obsessed with the rings.(Part 1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Everyone was aware that falling in love with you was madness, given your father's identity. Still, no one minded as long as they could have you by their side."
Morgoth/Melkor
He is obsessed with you as much as he is obsessed with the Silmarils.
Doesn't care if you are the daughter of his servant, he wants you.
Despite your refusal of Morgoth's advences, Sauron encourages you, and wanting to please your father, you decided to try and please Melkor.
"Your soul and body are mine like those silmarils"
He crafted a necklace made out of one of the Silmarils, gifting it to you as a token of your unity.
Thankfully, the Valar captured him after the battle of Wrath, however you already left him before the battle.
Maedhros
You met him while he was in Thangorodrim, getting tormented by your father.
At that time Morgoth was imprisoned in Angband, so you were free from his obsessed jealousy.
However, after seeing the handsome red-haired elf for the first time, you decided to take care of him and try to free him, feeling sympathy and gulit.
After freeing him with the help of his cousin Fingon who had to cut off his hand to free him, Maedhros tried to convince you to escape with him, as you handed him the Silmaril Morgoth gave you.
"Come with me, you will find peace away from your father's clutches"
And you did leave with him when you realize how awful Sauron is.
But your decision is like falling into another trap.
As Maedhros appeared to be the same as Morgoth in causing violence.
Celebrimbor
After discovering what Maedhros and his brothers have done to their kin, you fled without a second thought.
And as years passed, you kept yourself hidden wandering alone, until you met Celebrimbor whom you find his knowledge remarkable.
You thought of leaving when you discovered that he is the nephew of Maedhros, but his generosity tempted you to stay, and you did.
Honestly, you thought you found peace with him in the safety of his home, but that was never the case, Celebrimbor was possessive and refused to let you leave.
He crafted special rings to keep you safe from danger, and also to keep you in love with him.
"Your pain, your pleasure, your every thought belongs to me. You're mine to command and possess."
Celebrimbor thought he owned you, until Annatar 'Sauron' came into the picture and corrupted Celebrimbor into making the rings.
Sauron/Annatar 'platonic'
Sauron didn't realize how much you meant to him until you ran away.
He almost went insane and never stopped searching for you.
So, when he encountered Celebrimbor, he didn't expect to see you, and deep down it steered horrible jealousy at the sight of you, his only child, happy with Celebrimbor.
Adding to this, he noticed Celebrimbor's obessesive behavior towards you and how he tried to keep you away from his sight.
What is more amusing to Annatar is that you didn't discover his disguise.
So, he decided to reveal it to you.
"How sad that you don't remember your father, my sweet child"
You warn Celebrimbor about your father before handing him the rings he made for you and leaving.
Elrond
You knew Elrond since Maglor, brother of Maedhros, was the one fostered him and his twin brother, Elros.
So, seeing him after so many years surprised you and what made you feel shy is the fact that he invited you to stay with him at his realm.
You decided to take on his offer because you didn't want to keep on wandering in the middle earth after you did for many years.
Actually, you came to his realm after his wife decided to leave to the Undying Lands.
And Elrond is the only one who felt like he wanted to marry you but he decided not to act on it to not frighten you.
Especially after everything you told him about others 'locking you up' and 'refusing to let you leave'
Actually he witnessed how his foster Uncle treated you, so he understood where you are coming from.
"Do not worry, Nin meld, you are safe here with me, I promise to protect you from any danger."

I need Caitlyn “if I cannot become ungovernable I will become the government” Kiramman to have a full-on Machiavellian anti-hero arc so that The General Public finally takes her seriously.
Tumblr media
Analysis:
I've mentioned it before, but Caitlyn's character embodies nearly all the traits of a Machiavellian with high cognitive empathy.
Firstly and most obviously, she manipulates systems and people to accomplish her goals. Vi would still be in Stillwater and much of Act II and III would not have happened if Caitlyn weren't willing to cleverly and unscrupulously lie and forge her way to success.
We can argue she's not a very good liar. I argue that doesn't really matter. One, her lies work. Two, she is clearly ready and willing to deceive so long as she thinks it's for a good reason. The inclination is what matters. I think the important question to ask is, "What is this character willing do to?"
Secondly, she's huge on agency. It's one of the main features of her character. She demonstrates (from the five-factor model): achievement-striving, assertiveness, self-confidence, emotional invulnerability, activity, and competence.
Regarding emotional invulnerability. I want to touch on this because I think it's missed. Caitlyn is an extremely guarded character. She reveals almost no personal information about herself, even to Vi. During high-stress situations, she flinches from her own vulnerability, tries to play it off, or compartmentalizes heavily.
Vi is the bleeding heart, the open book, the one who can't guard worth a damn (it's not even subtext, other characters say this to her face and I believe it has a dual meaning).
Meanwhile, Caitlyn waits until Vi is vulnerable with her and shows her respect before even giving Vi her name. (I have more to say about the "Cupcake" scene but that's for another time).
Other aspects of a Machiavellian character include:
Cynicism, selfishness, callousness, arrogance, deliberation and orderliness.
I argue that Caitlyn's character hints at the first one, gets away with the next three because she's "sweet," and blatantly embodies the last two.
Caitlyn in S1 is a sharp edge sheathed in kindness. We like what she's currently doing and think she's a Good Person because her trajectory aligns with our own sense of right and wrong. But Caitlyn is doing what she wants. What she thinks is right. Again, it's not subtext.
Marcus: "She does whatever she wants, I can't control her!"
And in S2, I think the same behaviors we currently love in her could easily be used to spin her down a corruption arc that leaves us a bit aghast -- but shouldn't leave us surprised.
I argue such an arc would be squarely in character.
Paraphrasing from the AMA:
"Everyone is a little bit opposite of who they are in Season One."
What will that mean for Caitlyn?
I don't know, but the recipe for a very interesting time is written all over her character.

pairings: chris hemsworth x male reader
request: Hi, I was wondering if you could do a Chris Hemsworth fic, where Chris and male reader are doing a movie together and male reader is just super shy and silly and Chris is falling fast. It all comes to a boiling point during the movie premiere party. Male reader is wearing revealing clothes, leaving nothing to the imagination, and Chris can't take it anymore. Chris takes him back to his place and just wrecks the reader.
warnings: SMUT, anal sex, body worship, size kink.
Chris fell in love with you while filming Thor: Love and Thunder. Even though you were only in a couple of scenes and in the background for the rest of the movie, you still made a massive impression, the way you presented yourself, the way you worded things and how lovely you were to anyone and everyone. He had become completely infatuated with you. He even left his wife for you. Chris needed you in a way that wasn't normal. He needed you as a partner and a lover. Chris liked how shy you were around him, even though you were quiet and didn't say much to him he knew you liked him just by the way your eyes looked him up and down whenever he did a shirtless scene.
Fast forward to the movie premiere where this all takes place, you finally make your way onto the red carpet, lights flashing and blurring your eye sight, you stumble over your feet until you feel a strong grip around your arms keeping you from stumbling over. "You should probably watch where you're going," is " Chris' deep voice whispers into your ear, causing your face to redden by the second. "..sorry," you mutter out shyly, Once the blaring of the lights comes to a stop Chris' eyes look you up and down admiring your outfit, he bites his lip holding back from wanting to rip it off you right here.
He doesn't even need to take much to his imagination as your wearing a thong under your outfit and a clear suit, that completely allows you to see everything inside. He gawks at you, never seeing you wear something so revealing before "how come a shy guy like you is wearing so little?" Chris' whispers seductively to you corrupting your mind with such forbidden thoughts, you let out a choky cough before being dragged off the red carpet and pulled into the back of a limo by Chris.
Your body lays down in the back of a limo, the godly Chris Hemsworth lays on top of you. His veiny hands sliding up and down your body feeling every curve that you hips go, he grips onto your cheeks making you face him "I am going to fuck you so hard that you start seeing stars." He mutters through gritted teeth. Once the limo arrives at Chris' house, he throws you over his shoulder and takes you into his house, throwing you down on the couch.
Your eyes look up at him as he tears off his shirt and tie. You're practically drooling over his rippling abs and perfect pecs the way that the light bounces off of them each time he flexes to make your cock stiffen, you've had the wettest dreams about him, ones that left you completely soaked.
Chris dives down and rips the clear suit off your body, tearing it up to reveal your thong that's soaked with pre-cum. Chris stares down at you with dark eyes he flips your body over, slapping your ass and pulls the thong to the side to expose your pink pucker to him. He whips out his cock and rubs his pre-cum all over your hole helping him slide in with just pre-cum, he lays his abs against your back as his cock slides right into all the right places. He whispers into your ear as he pulls out bucking his hips back in, he grips the back of your hair pulling your head back to whisper into your ear.
"Take it like a good boy", he says as your eyes roll back as his tip rubs against your sweet spot, he begins milking it as he bucks his hips back and forth into you. Your cock rubbing against your stomach as he bucks his hips back and forth, "f-faster!" You groan out as his cock attacks your hole his thrusts becoming harder and faster but also sloppier. He nibbles at your earlobe as he shoots his load inside your hole, coating your insides in his thick creamy cum feeling his load fill you up causes your own load to shoot out of your cock coating your stomach and couch.
Chris' cock flops out of your hole and he picks you up and lays you down on his lap where you give his flaccid cock a little kiss. "You are incredible Chris" you whisper out to him as you swirl your tongue around his flaccid tip he just chuckles and let's out a breathy moan.

Thinking about missed opportunities in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy again: it's weird with hindsight that Count Dooku doesn't appear in "The Phantom Menace".
Dooku was a Jedi, so it's perfectly reasonable for him to be at either the Jedi Temple or the Republic Senate when we visit Coruscant in TPM. It would have been easy to move a few things around and include him even as a member of the Jedi Council when initially constructing the films, if you were planning ahead when writing.
As Qui-Gon's former master, Dooku is in the perfect position to ask questions onscreen about Qui-Gon's conviction that he's found the Chosen One and Qui-Gon's decision to put Obi-Wan up for knighthood, both publicly with the Council and privately from a more personal standpoint. Dooku could be used as a tool of interrogation to better lay clear for the audience some of Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Anakin's characters, their motivations and fears and their potential flaws. An intimate conversation with his master's master could definitely be used to give Obi-Wan some much-needed character focus and interiority before his climatic fight with Darth Maul.
As the future leader of the Separatists, this is also the ideal point in time to have Dooku act as a voice of criticism, someone who laments both the greed of the Trade Federation and the inaction of the Republic. Dooku could have easily been the representative of the Jedi in the Senate, watching everything, offering grandfatherly sympathy to Padmé Amidala, remarking on the effectiveness of unrestrained power, perhaps even making a warning observation of the dangers of that as Palpatine becomes the new Chancellor. We don't have to see Palpatine and Dooku interact directly, the film could even suggest that Dooku finds this ambitious politician slightly distasteful, but it sets up an explanation for how these two might know each other.
And if we have reason to know and like Master Dooku, then it would actually hurt more when he becomes Count Dooku and betrays both the Jedi Order and the Republic. Even briefly, we could have seen him show frustrated affection and concern for Qui-Gon, give warm advice and praise to Obi-Wan, stand up firmly against the unfairness of the Jedi Council saying Anakin is too old at nine years old. We could have seen Dooku support Padmé in her struggles to make the corrupt Republic take action. We could have seen him as dignified and wise, perhaps one of the only members of the Jedi Council to immediately take the return of the Sith 100% seriously after Maul appears on Tatooine. We could have been made to feel like this experienced, slightly embittered, but righteous older man was the only one "speaking the truth" here.
It really wouldn't have taken all that much shuffling and reassignment plotwise to add him in as a supporting character.
We would feel intrigued at the beginning of "Attack of Clones" when we learn that Count Dooku has left the Jedi Order after Qui-Gon's death. We could see Anakin and Obi-Wan briefly exchange lines about how they miss Master Dooku as well as Qui-Gon (there is already an exchange in the films where they state they miss Qui-Gon), and how they haven't seen or heard from him in some time now. Anakin could suggest that Dooku is hunting down the Sith Master; Obi-Wan could counter with how Master Dooku has simply returned to his life on Serenno, which he couldn't have as a Jedi Master, which Anakin casually calls unfair and he suggests that Dooku can do far greater good as a powerful count (a parallel to Anakin's marriage to Padmé and own Fall). Dooku being established earlier in the trilogy would better highlight how he and Obi-Wan went completely separate directions after Qui-Gon's death.
And again, the reveal that Dooku has Fallen would hurt so much more, if we had actually seen him be affectionate and righteous and wise. If we had any point of comparison for how Dooku's embittered desire for peace and justice has been warped into the pursuit of control and tyranny. It would hurt to see that formerly good man sentence Padmé to death as "just politics, my dear".
"This will start a war!" Padmé tells the man who helped her help her people once.
"I know," Dooku replies, with ominous satisfaction.
It would hurt to see Obi-Wan beg Dooku to stop this (a prelude to him begging Anakin in the next movie: "Anakin, please, I cannot lose you too!"), only for Dooku to attack and nearly kill him when Obi-Wan refuses to join him. It would hurt to see this grandfatherly figure cut off Anakin's hand, someone he knew and was kind to as a child. Seeing where Dooku fell from would also make everything about his fight with Yoda hurt more as well. We wouldn't have seen Dooku's struggles directly, offscreen in the time skip between TPM and AOTC, but this Fall would help prepare us for witnessing Anakin's Fall onscreen in "Revenge of the Sith", illustrate for us how power and grief corrupts, how the desire to take complete control and "start over" corrupts.
And all of this would also make Dooku's death in ROTS hurt more: to see Anakin execute an unarmed, injured man who had once been kind to him, who had once had good intentions a long, long time ago. We could have even had Dooku perhaps try to warn Anakin about Sidious, as the fear cuts through him as he realizes Sidious has betrayed him, only for Anakin to kill Dooku out of anger (Dooku is responsible for so much death, Palpatine reminds Anakin) just before the ruined man can finish speaking. Dooku's former goodness underlines Anakin's arrogance in thinking that his own fate will be any different.
The novelizations of the prequel films and other extended universe materials build up an image of Dooku's life as a Jedi and his Fall for us. We can assume and imagine a lot. We can retroactively apply knowledge gleaned from "The Clone Wars" with Dooku as a major villain. But ultimately, Dooku as a more sympathetic and emotionally relevant character is just not in the films.
When "Attack of the Clones" reveals to us: "Oh, no! Dooku has betrayed the Jedi Order and the Republic!" I think that most of the audience is like: "Gonna be real with you, chief, I have no idea who that is."
He's only been mentioned before once maybe? In Palpatine's office? Master Mundi assures Palpatine that Dooku is a good man (or something like that), but we have seen no evidence of this ourselves. This line mostly just becomes really funny on a rewatch, rather than poignant, because the prequel films audience only ever gets to see Count Dooku as a Sith Lord and rather underdeveloped villain. We don't ever get to see him be a "good guy" first. We're told but not shown.
The audience has no solid reason to care that Dooku specifically has betrayed the Order, as opposed to any random Jedi, because we haven't seen him before at all, much less interacting with any of our protagonists or establishing himself as an opinionated player within the story. Which is a shame! Because he has strong opinions that stand in interesting ideological conflict with so many other characters, generating fun and dramatic exchanges! He has direct connections to and parallels with other characters! He's potentially a really useful storytelling tool within these films, and his character just doesn't get used to that full tragic potential.
In conclusion...? I wish I'd actually been sad when Dooku betrayed everyone and died at Anakin's hand, instead of mostly just confused and then vaguely pitying. I want to see some of the love between characters beforehand, so that it hurts more effectively when that love turns to hate.
