Do you guys know why it's interesting that Shadow didn't do homework...or pay attention in class..

Because this is one of things that was taught in class to them:

To me it looks a little like a lesson about the escape pods.

Meaning that Shadow didn't pay attention to how the escape pods on the ARK worked and Gerald never preprogrammed that into him.

Which is why Maria had to set up the escape pod and trapped Shadow, because he didn't know how they worked.

Shadow should've really paid attention in class....
