The LORD's Victory over the Nations
1 “Who is this coming from the city of Bozrah in Edom? Who is this so splendidly dressed in red, marching along+ in power and strength?”
It is the LORD, powerful to save, coming to announce his victory.
2 “Why is his clothing so red, like that of someone who tramples grapes to make wine?”
3 The LORD answers, “I have trampled the nations like grapes, and no one came to help me. I trampled them in my anger, and their blood has stained all my clothing. 4 I decided that the time to save my people had come; it was time to punish their enemies. 5 I was amazed when I looked and saw that there was no one to help me. But my anger made me strong, and I won the victory myself. 6 In my anger I trampled whole nations and shattered them. I poured out their lifeblood on the ground.”
The LORD's Goodness to Israel
7 I will tell of the LORD's unfailing love; I praise him for all he has done for us. He has richly blessed the people of Israel because of his mercy and constant love.
8 The LORD said, “They are my people; they will not deceive me.” And so he saved them 9 from all their suffering. It was not an angel, but the LORD himself who saved them. In his love and compassion he rescued them. He had always taken care of them in the past, 10 but they rebelled against him and made his holy spirit sad. So the LORD became their enemy and fought against them.
11 But then they+ remembered the past, the days of Moses, the servant of the LORD, and they asked, “Where now is the LORD, who saved the leaders of his people from the sea? Where is the LORD, who gave his spirit to Moses? 12-13 Where is the LORD, who by his power did great things through Moses, dividing the waters of the sea and leading his people through the deep water, to win everlasting fame for himself?”
Led by the LORD, they were as sure-footed as wild horses, and never stumbled. 14 As cattle are led into a fertile valley, so the LORD gave his people rest. He led his people and brought honor to his name.
A Prayer for Mercy and Help
15 LORD, look upon us from heaven, where you live in your holiness and glory. Where is your great concern for us? Where is your power? Where are your love and compassion? Do not ignore us. 16 You are our father. Our ancestors Abraham and Jacob do not acknowledge us, but you, LORD, are our father, the one who has always rescued us. 17 Why do you let us stray from your ways? Why do you make us so stubborn that we turn away from you? Come back, for the sake of those who serve you, for the sake of the people who have always been yours.
18 We, your holy people, were driven out by our enemies for a little while; they trampled down your sanctuary. 19 You treat us as though you had never been our ruler, as though we had never been your people. — Isaiah 63 | Good News Translation (GNT) Good News Translation® (Today’s English Version, Second Edition) © 1992 American Bible Society. I got a message from a friend that I needed to address.
I received a message that read something like this—I say sort of because I had to make it legible. I am not sure how my acquaintance integrated this point about “The blood on his cloak,”  but he added some say it’s the blood of the saints, while others say it is His blood. To this, my friend responds, “not so, it is the blood of His enemies.” To this statement, those people who asked him agreed…

Isaiah 62: Redemption and Wrath
The day of God’s vengeance is really God restoring balance to the universe, bringing about healing by wiping out the disease, cutting out the cancer. As Jesus said, the day of vengeance will also be the time of redemption. #Isaiah63 #GrapesofWrath
Isaiah continued in the next chapter to describe the amazing transformation that would take place, using the theme of a beautiful bride—the same bride that Jesus talked about in the Gospels, and the apostle John described in Revelation at the wedding feast of the Lamb. Israel would receive a new name in signifying a new nature, and a new relationship with God. “You shall no more be termed…

“God Holds Us In His Hands” By Josh Powell:
“Do you want to feel more loved by God in your day to day life?
This might be mushy for some of us, but let us never forget that God is multifaceted in his nature and character. This is but one side of him, an often unknown side.
Implications of His care: We are told in scripture many times that we are held by God. There is a peace that comes when we are reminded, I am in God's hands. He is wise and He is loving and He is perfectly on time. He is not indifferent about the anxieties I carry. He cares. He's going to take care of me.
He’s going to plan my life and guide me. And that guidance is informed by his love, planned in his wisdom, and timed in his sovereignty. God does not comfort us from afar, but nearness.
Psalm 27:10 Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close.
Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Psalm 63:8 My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.
Isaiah 46:4 I will be your God throughout your lifetime – until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.
Isaiah 49:16 Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
Psalm 139:10 Even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
Psalm 73:23 Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand.
Be encouraged wherever you find yourself. You are in His hands.”

Isaiah 63:14 Led To Rest By God
As a beast goes down into the valley, and the Spirit of the Lord causes him to rest, so You lead Your people, to make Yourself a glorious name. Isaiah 63:14 People love to do things and keep busy. With technology making things easier, people feel that they can do more and more since things move faster and easier. As a result, people do not like to stop and take time to actually rest. They are…

I have a friend who is a Christian who has started accepting LGBT lifestyles and claiming they are not actually sinful. Me and my friends have had meetings with them and given scripture but they refute it every single time and call us unloving. They don’t believe God actually said it’s a sin to be gay/trans and encourage other Christians to embrace the lifestyle to get closer to God. We aren’t even sure they read their Bible anymore, and if they do we aren’t sure how they can possibly ignore what it says. We have tried so many times to lovingly correct and they continue to tell people to go and sin because Gods word is outdated. What should we do now?
I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through that. Be encouraged that you were able to stand firm on the truth and loved your friend enough to offer correction.
As a random guy on the internet, I don’t have answers for what steps you should take in your situation or what your friend needs. I can only speak generally from the Scriptures. This is why the local church is important. Your pastor/mature Christian friend or leader can offer you much better wisdom and possess much better understanding of your situation up close than I can from a distance.
Ultimately “What you should do now” can only be determined through prayer and walking by faith in what you believe God has called you to do based on His Word. Here are few things I believe His Word says that would be helpful for situations like these.
Most importantly, only God can change a person’s heart. We can bring all the sound biblical arguments that we want, but our faith must be in God (1 Cor 2:4-5). It’s not our job to convince anyone, only lovingly present them with truth and action the way Jesus would and surrender them into His care. If there is a professing Christian who is falling for Satan’s lies, the Spirit weeps over that (Isaiah 63:10; Heb 10:29). God loves sinners and calls us to believe He has the power and desire to rescue those blinded by lies and imprisoned by sin (Isaiah 61:1).
If we believe that God wants to save people and is the only one who can save people, then before we do anything we must pray, pray, pray, and pray some more. Then when we are done praying, go and get some more believers and pray with them.
Ephesians 6:19
praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints
Phil 4:6
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Luke 18:7
And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them?
Matthew 18:19-20
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
That last one is really important because in context Jesus is commanding us to pray together for the restoration of a sinning brother. When we pray together seeking God's will for helping those in need of His grace, we can be sure that He will respond and help us know what we need to do with confidence that it is right.
As we pray together with fellow believers for God's grace to work in the lives of those we love, we will find God working in our hearts to shape us into the image of Christ so that we can be used by Him the way He wants. Then we can act in faith to share what the sinning believer needs to know.
Matthew 18 also tells us that if the sinning believer refuses to repent, even after going to him/her with two or three witnesses and elders and even the whole church, then we surrender them to their choices and put them out of the church. If they don't want to follow God's ways, then they don't need to be in God's church. Let them live like the world and trust that God will do what is right.
I will be praying for you and for your friend as well.

God's Mercies Recalled
It troubled the Lord to see them in trouble,    and his angel saved them. The Lord was truly merciful,    so he rescued his people. He took them in his arms and carried them all those years. — Isaiah 63:9 | Contemporary English Version (CEV) The Holy Bible, Contemporary English Version Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society. In order to hear God over what the devil is yelling we might have to mute our phones or completely turn them off
Isaiah 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
God's words are life and Spirit
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The Holy Spirit reminds us of what God has said to us
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

I woke up this morning feeling spiritually paralyzed. I did not want to wake up or move, and was feeling overwhelmed by all that I need to do today while feeling this way. I asked God “what is wrong with me?” I heard in my heart; “Come and sit with me and listen.” And so I did. And He wrapped His arms around me and squeezed me tight with all of His Words. 🩷🩷🩷 Then His Words breathed life into my soul.
God’s love is so deep and wide and constant - it is unbreakable and unending - it is everlasting. His faithfulness is beyond comprehension.
I was reading this morning in Judges 10, and verse 16 says that God “became impatient with the misery of Israel.”
Not impatient with Israel - but impatient with their misery - it was HIS misery to see them in misery! And I was melted.
So I followed the chain references and, which led me to Judges 2:18 and Isaiah 63:9, which also led to Isaiah chapters 63, and then all the way to 66 and I could not stop smiling.
Because as often, and as hard, as Israel turned away and worshipped other gods, whenever they cried out, He came running, like a softhearted mama to pity them, forgive them, and rescue them from their enemies.
“He remembers that we are but dust.” (Ps 103:14)
“In all their affliction HE was afflicted, and the Angel of His presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.” (Isaiah 63:9)
I’m going to put all the scripture references here in case you want to read them sometime. These are the passages that hugged me tight.
🩷
Judges 21:8
Judges 10:16
Isaiah 63:9
Isaiah chapters 63-66
Psalm 107
🩷
The Words of these passages made me feel loved, safe, cared for, and carried.
There is nothing that can stop His love, not even our own falling. Not our own illnesses, our own sadnesses, our own troubles of every kind.
He comes and scoops us up and rescues us - even from a mess of our own making - And how much more will He rescue us from even the mess that others make?!
Nothing can separate us from His Love and Nothing will keep us from His rescue. Nothing.
He cares when we are hurting no matter the reason.

Psalm 63:1-8 (NIV). “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.
“Conquering Fear” By In Touch Ministries:
“The God of the universe offers constant love and care to all who trust Him.”
“When you feel fear begin to rise, how do you typically respond? The next time you face anxiety, pause to ask yourself the following questions: Has God ever failed me in the past? Does He promise to meet all of my needs? Does He keep His promises?
If we read the Bible, we’ll find countless stories of God’s faithfulness. For example, the apostle Paul lived through persecution, pain, and all kinds of terrible circumstances, yet he was able to make the bold declaration that God weaves it all together for the good of His followers (Romans 8:28). This testifies to the fact that for those who trust in Him, God turns every difficulty, loss, and separation into something beneficial.
Whatever we read in Scripture—whether it’s a story about Abraham, Sarah, Job, Hannah, David, Isaiah, Jonah, John, Paul, or others—we see God’s constant love and care for His people. His Word is a lamp that will give us clear guidance when circumstances are bleak. It offers the best direction we’ll ever find. When we meditate upon it, pray over it, grapple with it, and incorporate it into our life, His light chases away the darkness.
God, the sovereign ruler of this universe, is in control of your life. When you read your Bible and meditate on it, you will find genuine strength in His promises.”
