Instead of losing touch with friends and fandom people every time a TV series ends, I decided to start a sever that isn't fandom specific and instead is a giant playground of things!

The name fEight Club is a play on words (because I'm me) and works on a few levels (like me 😏).

Pronounced Fight Club (which is hilarious and sounds like a dudebro hangout, c'mon!), but it's actually a reference to the Windows F8 key.

Geek mode activated! Immediately after Windows starts, pressing the F8 key allows you to boot the computer in safe mode.

So fEight Club is a safe space to hang out and enjoy all the things with no gatekeeping allowed, structured areas so you can see/not see what you want, maybekindasorta early screenings on movies and other content because Maya is a geek and can do things 🦜

Some of the categories:

fandom specific areas with actor/actress, trope, fanfic/fanart stuff

I’ve been a bit quiet on the pen front of late, for, well, reasons.

Two new (ish) pens, both were bought at a Christmas market last December and are hand-made.

I think the wooden one uses a Mistral kit and the other a Leveche kit.

The wooden pen has a screw thread at the end of the barrel to allow posting by screwing the cap on the end.

The barrel and cap are made by the maker who takes discarded plastic food and drink containers, heats them in his oven and then swirls the plastic into a blank before cooling and the turning the blank to make the pen.

It feels slightly rubbery to the touch, which I find not unpleasant.

Neither one is an especially terrific writing experience but neither are they especially unpleasant. But I liked the looks of them, I’d had a little mulled wine before hand, and the person who made them seemed like a nice person.

Both nibs seem to be on the fine side of medium, with will probably swap these for something broader.

Inks are Diamine Meadow Green and Ancient Copper.
