like, how much is spent on validifying disability compared to how much is spent on the need to increase quantity of accessible accommodations?
Fake claimers are a much bigger threat to disabled people than fakers ever will be.

This video from Charlie Nebe (YT: CharlieNebe & GetTheeToTheStitchery, IG: GetTheeToTheStitchery) almost perfectly describes the way my autistic brain functions.

💜 Purple Day – March 26 Understanding Epilepsy & Workplace Awareness 💜
Epilepsy is unpredictable. It can come with warnings or strikes without notice. Some of us know when it’s coming—we might say “I need to breathe”—a signal that our brain is about to misfire. But what happens next isn’t always understood, and that misunderstanding can be dangerous.🚨That’s exactly what happened to me. I felt the warning signs, walked out of my workplace, got in my car, and drove…

How to make a cheap Migraine friendly lamp shade.
When starting out with migraines, I was extremely (and still am to a degree) photosensitive/photophobia. My lamp didn’t have a dial for its brightness, so I couldn’t dim it without either buying a new blackout lampshade or a new but dimmer lightbulb.
Instead, I grabbed a couple of sheets of black construction paper, duct tape, and used my current lampshade as the mold, and created a lampshade to go over my current one. It worked wonders! I didn’t use a cap on top due to a possible fire hazard, so I still have to angle the lamp shade carefully but it is much more bearable.
Here’s my finished product:

While it’s clearly uneven, it follows the “It’s not for fashion, it’s for function” mantra I have about migraines. You can feel free to add your own designs, I simply didn’t because I don’t have the energy or willpower for it.

On #InternationalDayOfPersonsWithDisabilities, let’s remember that not all disabilities are visible.
While prosthetics and wheelchairs may be noticeable, there are many disabilities that remain unseen—heavy burdens of stress, anxiety, isolation, and stigma that countless people face every day.
Mental health challenges are just as valid and need the same support and understanding as any physical disability.
It’s time to break the silence and show compassion for all forms of disability—whether visible or not! 🧠💙

The migraine community has these problems of having their migraines mistaken for headaches, but your pain is valid!
We Experience bring medically gaslight to simply drink more water, exercise, and lose weight. And while those can help, those simply won’t cut it.
Your pain is valid. Your pain is legitimate. And you know your body’s pain is important to address!
I wish you well in your fight against migraines!
I hate you ocular migraines i hate you light sensitivity i hate you debilitating headache i hate you fuzzy vision i hate you nausea so bad that i start vomiting bile i hate you unsympathetic workmates who tell me to stop being a baby and pop some advil i hate you i hate you

To expand the Opinions & Truth (O&T) blog, I started The Weekend Game Show (WGS) to educate on and discuss different aspects of game development, and to show why video games can take years to make, to prevent another Cyberpunk 2077 launch scenario. Watch me on Twitch, YouTube, Rumble, and Odysee!
To provide educational material for game designers and artists, and some fun reads, I created a bookshop, the Rendezvous Point (RP), powered by Bookshop.org! Check it out here!
In addition, I share educational quotes to promote literacy, the legitimacy of video games as an artistic medium, and regarding a Cause of the Month to raise awareness, while giving Artist Shout-Outs to human artists to combat AI’s spit. Try doing activities where you’re using your hands but don’t need to see much; Like organizing a small space, folding clothes, origami, knitting, cleaning something small. I usually have “fidget fingers” that pets gravitate to, and I can focus an watch a movie if I’m petting my dog.
Petting, podcast, and doing a small chore or organizing something— even digitially— helps with this feeling.
too much migraine to read. too much Adderall to do anything else.

Are we really medicalising day to day ups and downs? #ableism #ukgovernment #invisibledisabilities #ableism #autism #invisibledisabilities #mentalhealthawareness We are not medicalising day to day ups and downs, do not let a corrupt government make you believe that disabled people talking about their condition are medicalising anything. We as disabled people have to pathologize our conditions, we don't want to have to, but we do! We can't win, if we don't say anything we are in pain, are unable to continue, cannot keep up, are bullied, harassed and demonised. 🔔𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬. https://www.youtube.com/@OneAutisticPerson/?sub_confirmation=1 🔗 Stay Connected With Me.
