my academic journey (warning: i ranted) -
so ever since i started school till about the end of 8th grade i was always a 90%+/straight A student. the kind of child my classmates & cousins would be compared too. not trying to glamorize comparison btw, i personally think that's really toxic & pressurizing. so yeah, i was a "good" quiet kid. i listened attentively in class and submitted all my homework on time. the only complain teachers had about me was that i was "too quiet" but that wasn't a real issue. i was just shy but talkative with my few friends yano. i spent the entirety of 7th grade & most of 8th grade in online classes so my habits of studying went to shit. still somehow managed 91% in my 8th grade finals. and then 9th began and it all went downhill. teachers kept saying 'next year is ur board exams, u need to study a lot, etc, etc.' so if u're not from india we basically have these major 'board exams' at the end of 10th & 12th grade. but 10th boards don't really matter all that much, teachers just make a big fuss about it. 12th boards matter, but that's also the time we give college entrance exams and that sorta matters more according to most ppl. n yeah, idk what happened but i got overwhelmed. i could no longer just do well in class and study before exams and get good marks. i felt dumb. my grades didn't see a single improvement. i honestly gave up in the middle of it all and got sick of school. and at one point, it became less burn out & more clinging to the familiarity of not doing anything. i became lazy. and i became a hypocrite. i'd always tell myself, this time i'm gonna study, this time i'm gonna score well. well that 'this time' never came. 10th grade got even worse and i scored 73% in my board exams because i barely studied at all. at the same time, my relationship with my parents has constantly been unraveling. and i saw just how much of their 'pride' was dependent on me being the kid they could show off and smile widely when others replied 'wow she's going places'. my father can't hold a single conversation with me now that doesn't go back to me being a disappointment. and now i'm the kid who has to listen to her parents compare her to others. 'be like her, your friend', they say. halfway though 11th rn and i guess what?? still no fucking improvement. but the thing is i know this is the last straw. i can feel it. i got around 64% in my first tests (pa-1) of 11th. haven't gotten mid term results yet but i'm estimating just above 50%. and the thing is it's not that i can't score well. i know my potential all too well. i know i can score such high marks. but the problem is i don't study. if i just studied a couple hours every day, i can easily manage above 80%. with constant improvement i can manage above 90% again. but i don't. and that's ending right this instant. i'm not gonna turn into an academic weapon overnight or smth ik that. but i'm gonna start slowly but surely working hard. i have big dreams, i know i can achieve them if i just put in the effort. plans have been made, all i need to do is execute them. execute my laziness. i'm gonna get better. i'm gonna prove everyone who thinks i'm never gonna do it wrong, and i'm gonna prove myself right. this comeback will be for me, my inner child. the little kid in me deserves to not wind up a washed-out failure.
academic goals! -
pa-2 - 75-80%
11th finals - 80-85%
12th pa-1 - above 90%
uni - iiser (college for pure science research, bs + ms integrated)

Since the start of Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian authorities have begun integrating ideological and military-themed lessons into school curricula. However, their plans for the upcoming academic year are even more drastic. Children will receive instruction in combat training and learn how to use grenade launchers and automatic weapons, all as part of the required school curriculum. The Russian government has radically revised the list of social sciences, replacing them with militarized or ideological equivalents. Now, instead of economics and law, students will study “traditional values” and the “Russian world.” The independent outlet Holod explained Russia’s new educational model. Meduza shares an abridged version in English.
Russia's educational landscape has experienced significant shifts since the start of the full-scale war. In September 2022, schools across the country rolled out a new class called “Important Conversations,” a state-designed, “patriotic” lesson series meant to bring students’ spiritual and moral values in line with the Russian Federation’s National Security Strategy.
A year later, the Russian authorities supplemented this ideological teaching with military instruction. In addition to things like fire safety and first aid, students began learning “basic military training” in their “Fundamentals of Life Safety” classes. In 10th grade, they learn about the workings of the Kalashnikov assault rifle and “information-psychological warfare.”
Now, the Kremlin is looking to further expand ideological and military teaching in schools. From September 2024, “Fundamentals of Life Safety” will be replaced by something called “Fundamentals of Homeland Security and Defense.” (While related amendments to federal education law were made in July 2023, the program was only officially registered with the Justice Ministry on February 29, 2024.)
A child today, a soldier tomorrow
“Fundamentals of Homeland Security and Defense” (FHSD) is approved for students as young as those in fifth grade, but from eighth grade, the course is mandatory. Among other things, eighth and ninth graders will be taught about the tactical and technical characteristics of the Dragunov sniper rifle, the RPG-7 handheld anti-tank grenade launcher, the Kalashnikov assault rifle, and various hand grenades. Students will also study drill training, general military regulations, “the essence and importance of military discipline,” and “the essence of unified command.”
Instructors are tasked with fostering specific “personal results” in students by the program’s conclusion, including “a responsible attitude toward fulfilling one’s constitutional duty of defending the Fatherland” and “an understanding of the significance of the military oath.”
By ninth grade, students are expected to master skills such as putting on equipment and body armor, “assessing the risks of violating military discipline,” and performing drill exercises. Over the two following years, the program goes even deeper. Tenth and 11th graders will learn the basics of combined arms combat, how to set up a combat unit’s position, and how to use more modern firearms such as the MP-443 Grach pistol and the AK-12 assault rifle.
The FHSD program has between 136 and 238 lessons, depending on the grade level at which it’s introduced. Since schools can independently decide how many hours to allocate for each unit (there are still traditional topics such as disaster preparedness and response), this could add dozens of military lessons to those already required in the “basic military training” block. As a result, a significant portion of the school curriculum will focus on military training and preparing future soldiers for combat.
The Russian authorities plan to tap “special military operation” veterans to help teach the new subject, according to First Deputy Education Minister Alexander Bugaev, who said the ex-soldiers will fill an “invaluable niche [in schools by transferring] their personal experience.”
These veterans will be prepared for their new teaching career at the Vertex Center for Military Patriotic Education at Russia’s Federal State University of Education. After just 36 hours of training, a former soldier can get a document certifying them to teach in schools. In addition to retraining war participants as teachers, the center will organize military games for children. Officially, the university’s vice rector, Alexey Ryabtsev, heads the program, but the actual work is likely to fall to his deputy, Pyotr Ishkov, who served as deputy education minister of the self-proclaimed “Luhansk People’s Republic” in 2022. However, details about the center itself and its educational programs remain scarce.
Integrated ideology
Russian schools are also set to make big changes to core classes. Russia’s Education Ministry has already drafted a law that would replace social studies in sixth through eighth grade with something called “Our Region’s History.” While social studies will still be taught in high school, many Russians leave school after ninth grade to go to trade schools.
Less than half of the topics covered in “Our Region’s History” will actually touch on local history because the course is meant to incorporate topics from an existing discipline, “Fundamentals of the Spiritual and Moral Culture of the Russian Peoples.”
Course topics include: “The Traditional Family,” “Risks and Threats to the Spiritual and Moral Culture of Russia,” “The Russian World,” “Russian Language — the Basis of Russian Culture,” “Spiritual and Moral Values of the Russian People,” “Unity of Values in Russia’s Religions,” “Heroes of the Armed Forces,” and “The Citizen’s Duty to Society.”
Students will still have separate “Important Conversations” classes, but now state ideology will also be integrated into and dispersed across regular subjects.
Previously, ideological subjects could be mostly ignored. While they might influence awards at school, they didn’t have an impact on college admissions. Now that ideology has been added to the core school curriculum, though, related topics will be included on Russia’s college aptitude test, the Unified State Exam (EGE).
Students planning to take the history EGE are now required to know the reasons for “The Revival of the Russian Federation as a World Power,” “The Reunification of Crimea with Russia,” and “The Special Military Operation in Ukraine.” In 2023, only Russia’s annexation of Crimea was included.
In 2024, the list of topics students should know for the EGE in social studies includes things like “The Spiritual Values of Russian Society,” and “The Russian Federation’s State Policy to Counter Extremism.” Neither of these topics was on the exam last year.

"I Endeavour My Senior High School Journey"
Tumblr media
Today's blog looks at my life as an 11th and now 12th grader. The journey was a highlight like any other, but I wouldn't exchange it for the audience. I know that the experiences and struggles I've gone through have made me who I am today, and that the people I've met are the reason I act the way I do. You know what they say you become like the people you surround yourself with, and it's quite true that I became so familiar with my friend's speech and mannerisms that I almost copied them from time to time.
Tumblr media
Speaking of my friends, one thing I can never forget is my friends—my old friends, my new friends, and the friends who have been by my side since I came here. I love them all and hope they find great lives after graduation. If there is one thing I would change in my life so far, it would be to spend more time with them. With all the schoolwork we have had, I can only be with them on the weekends, and unfortunately, even then, hardly when I have to help clean the house or do laundry. But when I spent time with them, we did some fun things, like eating food. Those things made my two years worth it. But yeah, how are you? How's life? Do you go out a lot, or do you also do things at home?
Tumblr media
When it comes to the school year, there is no better way to describe it than stress-stress-stress. I feel like I've been carrying the weight of all tasks on my shoulders, and every day I'm increasing. I'm frustrated that 100% still doesn't feel like enough. How I lost 100% and 30 extra pounds before I even realized it was honestly crazy.
Tumblr media
Volleyball, another big part of my life, has been sports—not basketball, but volleyball, especially when it's not for my friend; volleyball was there for me. All the stress that would leave the gym. I mean just seeing the ball. Imagine floating carefree in the air and caring less. My brain is clear for a moment... Tell me, I'm not the only one who has had this feeling of doing something they love, right? Volleyball is as integral to me as science is to a scientist. I have enjoyed seeing my skills develop over time. I hope to be the best one day. In my high school years, volleyball was my escape. I'm glad I joined the team. I want to graduate, continue at the university, and apply for a college volleyball scholarship.

Now, we get to the real meat of the challenge. Here I will put down all of the 1600s-specific rules, and how you need to start the challenge. If you want to start earlier, however, I suggest taking a look at Morbid's rules for the 1300s to the 1600s, it shouldn't be too hard to take those and integrate the BACC style rules.
Getting Started
Alright, I know I've already made a getting started post, but this is specific to the 1600s. Once you have all the stuff set up that the other post laid out (starting world, households), you can move your households into any lot. Your mayor must move into the largest lot in your chosen world, and you have free reign to give them as much or as little money as you want, build a house, or get a house from the gallery. Your upper class citizens may start with anything from $100k-$200k. Your middle class citizens may start with anything from $25k-$100k. Your poor citizens may start with anywhere from $5k-$25k. And finally, your destitute citizens must start off with no money whatsoever and no house, and must find a way to pick themselves up from the ground.
All houses must have the lot challenges Off-the-Grid, and Simple Living. You may have any other challenges except Reduce and Recycle, Landfill Lot, or Spooky, until you unlock them. As for the lot traits, you may have any lot trait except Eco Lot, Study Spot, University Student Hangout, Oceanic Paradise, Island Spirits, any from Get Famous, any from Vampires, Good Schools, Science Lair, or Fast Internet.
For extra fun, you can roll to see what ages each of your families start at, but you can also just give them an age you think works well.
For the very first rotation of each newly placed family, you do not need to roll that year to see if they survive. Even newborn babies can survive this first year, it's free. But the next rotation/year is when their first death roll must happen.
This is not going to be 100% accurate to any particular country - you may start wherever wish, so I'm not going to put in any specific rules related to the area. For example, the first colony in America was founded in 1607, but the settlers came in 1620, and my challenge starts in 1600. I don't care, because it's not necessarily America that everyone is going to play in, and so we start in 1600 with the option to start earlier or later for anyone who wants to.
No one except the Mayor may have a career at the beginning. After all, this is a brand new settlement, no matter where it is. Your sims need to establish themselves.
Set up a tax system. My suggestion is to look up the tax rate of your intended area at the year you're in, and decide what % it will be based on that and the personality of your mayor. You can be as realistic or unrealistic with this as you want, as long as you remove some amount of money from your sims' coffers every year/rotation. (My plan is to have a base of 5% of their simoleon balance at the end of each rotation, and increase/decrease that percentage based on the personality of my current mayor.)
You may only have 1 orphanage per every 10 households. So if you roll to have 2 orphanages at the beginning, you must reroll for one of those. Also, this does mean that after you get your 11th household you may get another orphanage. Your matrons may not marry, because they are dedicated to the raising of orphaned children. (This does not mean that they may not have children out of wedlock, scandalous though that might be.)
There are many things you may not have until you unlock them, so you will need to read this whole post to find out what you may or may not have.
Pets are allowed, but there are no vets yet, so keep that in mind.

How to become a Chartered Accountant after 12th
Tumblr media
Becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA) is a reputable and honored career for students who have an interest in Finance, Accounting, and Business Management. If you have passed 12th grade, you can opt for the Chartered Accountant profession as your career. Here is a simple step-by-step guide on how to become a Chartered Accountant.
1. Selecting the Correct Stream:
Although students from any stream [i.e., Science, Commerce, or Art] can qualify for Chartered Accountant, it is generally easier to pursue if you take the Commerce Stream in 11th and 12th. Subjects like Accounting, Economics, and Business Studies will serve you well in the pursuits of the CA curriculum. Students who take a non-commerce stream can still apply and pass the course, but can frequently struggle with the basics of accounting at first.
2. Register for the CA Foundation Course:
The first step in becoming a Chartered Accountant once you have completed 12th, is to register yourself for The CA Foundation Course, to be conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
The Foundation course examines your understanding of the fundamental concepts of accounting, law, and business, and clearing this stage is necessary for progression to the next level so be diligent in your preparation using study materials issued by the ICAI, attending coaching classes, and undergoing the mock test.
You must achieve a minimum of 40% per subject, and overall a minimum of 50%. Additionally, we have the best faculty for CA Inter to guide you through your journey.
Eligibility - You are required to pass/complete your 12th standard. Exams are held thrice in a year i.e. in January, May & November. You must get yourself registered with ICAI at least 4 months before your attempt in the CA Foundation.
CA Foundation Course Topics:
1. Accounting.
2. Business Laws
3. Quantitative Aptitude
Business Mathematics
Logical Reasoning
Statistics
4. Business Economics
3. Apply for the CA Intermediate Course:
Once you have passed the CA Foundation exam, you can apply for the CA Intermediate Course. The Intermediate course improves your knowledge of accounting and introduces you to the world of finance, law, and taxation. The Intermediate exam is split into two groups, which you may appear separately or together based on your preparation.
CA Intermediate Course subjects:
 Group I:
Advanced Accounting
Corporate and Other Laws
Taxation
Income-tax-law
Indirect tax
Group II:
Cost and Management Accounting
 Auditing and Ethics
Management
Financial Management
Strategic Management
5. Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) Training:
Before you can commence your practical training, you must complete the Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) training. The ICITSS, spent over approx. in 4 weeks and prepares you in areas of IT skills, computerized accounting, soft skills curriculum, communication, professionalism, and contextual awareness. The ICITSS is a compulsory requirement if you plan to start your Articleship.
6. Commence your Articleship:
Once you have passed the CA Intermediate examination you can commence your articleship. An Articleship is 2 years of mandatory practical training under a practicing Chartered Accountant. This is an important period for the CA as you will demonstrate tangible practice experience in places like taxation, audit practice, and financial management. Articleship is an opportunity to place theoretical knowledge into practical experience.
7. Register for the CA Final Exam:
When you have cleared both groups of the CA Intermediate and completed your Articleship, you can enroll in the CA Final Course. This is the last step in your CA journey where you learn all the advanced concepts of accounting and finance like Financial Reporting, Enterprise Information Systems, Strategic Financial Management, Governance, and Risk Management, International Taxation, and many others. The CA Final Exam improves your understanding of various difficult subjects, your competence to apply the same in challenging commercial and business scenarios comprehensively, and your ability and desire to go even further.
8. Clear the CA Final Exam:
The CA Final Exam is the toughest challenge you will face in your CA career, but it should never be taken as a nerve-racking obstacle. You require constant studying, regular practicing, and unwavering determination are all you need to survive and win. Once you strike your CA Final Exam- you will be ready for real-world accounting, taxation, or auditing challenges.
9. Apply for ICAI Membership:
Once you have completed the Articleship and cleared the CA Final Exam, you will be eligible for ICAI Membership. Upon successfully obtaining ICAI Membership, you will be known as a Chartered Accountant (CA), and have the right to include the prefix “CA” in front of your name, making you a recognized CA Professional and accounting wizard. Now you can accept job opportunities in various capacities such as an auditor, a tax consultant, or a CA Professional, or you can decide to open a CA practice of your own.
Conclusion:
Pursuing the Chartered Accountant (CA) status after 12th grade is a long process. In the future, Chartered Accountants need dedication, ethics, and patience to establish the right mindset to complete this process. By following each stage with purpose, you will succeed and become a qualified Chartered Accountant by completing each stage and ritual standards of your profession, who can have a successful career in finance and business.

MALVERNE, New York -- 12-year-old Suborno Isaac Bari is graduating from Malverne High School in Malverne, New York, Wednesday, making him the youngest scholar to ever graduate from the history of the Nassau County school, according to Malverne Union Free School District. The video is from a previous report. Suborno told "Good Morning America" he's excited to graduate and it's been a "long" journey for him so far, even though the high school senior skipped 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th grades - completing his 4th, 8th, 10th and 12th grades in Malverne Union Free School District while passing the New York State Regents examinations to graduate."It's been an absolutely wonderful experience," Suborno said of his high school career.
Tumblr media
Suborno Isaac Bari, 12, graduates from Malverne High School in Malverne, New York on June 26.Courtesy of the Bari family"I met so many great people and I've learned a lot in both math and science and other disciplines. But I think I'm ready to move on and pursue my higher education to the best of my ability," Suborno added.Rebecca Gottesman, the director of K-12 school counseling at Malverne Union Free School District, has been in education for the last 25 years and called Suborno, whom she first met as a fourth grader, "a prodigy.""Every year, school counselors are asked on behalf of the students that are applying to these colleges to answer the question, 'Is this one of your most exceptional students that you've ever seen in your career?' ... and I can say without any doubt that Suborno is the most exceptional student I've ever met academically," Gottesman said. "He's really a prodigy."Gottesman said the school district and the Bari family worked together to figure out a tailored plan that would let Suborno take higher-level classes but still integrate with his peers and develop socially and emotionally.
Tumblr media
Suborno Bari plans to attend New York University in the fall and study mathematics and physics.Courtesy of the Bari family"We entered into an agreement where we would allow him to take high school-level courses but take them at our middle school. So he would come into our middle school as eighth-grader ... and then after he took his morning classes, we would put him on the bus and he would take a bus to our elementary school where he would reintegrate with his fifth-grade peers, which were his same-age peers and participate in fifth-grade electives and after-school activities," Gottesman explained.Suborno said even though he accelerated through grades and split his time, teachers and fellow students embraced him and gave him space to pursue his interests."They treated me just like any other high school student ... and that's how I really wanted to be treated by the community," the young whiz said.Gottesman said Suborno, who earned a 1500 on the SAT, 34 on the ACT, and took five AP classes, has left an indelible mark on the Malverne community as an academic leader and is more than ready for college.
Tumblr media
Suborno Bari said he has always dreamed of helping others learn math and science and hopes to be a professor one day.Courtesy of the Bari family"He really a wonderful, wonderful young man. He's got an inquisitiveness and a thirst for knowledge, like nobody I've ever seen," Gottesman said. "He's been a joy to work with."The 12-year-old aspires to earn a Ph.D. and become a professor. Suborno is heading in the fall as a commuter student to New York University on a scholarship to study for a bachelor's degree in math and physics."Many people are doing it only because their parents said so or because engineers just make the most profit, not because they actually love what they're doing. So I hope to fix that and help other people understand math and science and love it in all its beauty," Suborno said."Do what you do because you like it because of the passion you feel when describing it or doing it," he added.Copyright © 2024 ABC News Internet Ventures.
