oh, i was a karamatsu girl. by golly, was i a karamatsu girl. i hold no shame for the title. whatever pronoun, whatever gender identity, i can always be a karamatsu girl.

day 25 of my 2019 inktober where i only drew things i loved consisted of karamatsu and the aesthetics of photoshoots. 📸 i'm almost certain the reference was nyle dimarco. the volumes are suuuper off but at least i tried. sadly, i still struggle with that.

Inktober 2019 day 25 is posting a day late because of my cat Sam... I drew and inked it on time though.

I have a black cat named Samael, who came to live with me well after I’d given Morgana a black cat. Morgana’s cat is called Lucifer, after a cat my parents had before I was born. 

I love devil names for cats, somehow - one of my favourites is Azrael, Gargamel’s cat in The Smurfs :). My own cat was called Zwartje (”Blackie”) by her previous owners, but I couldn’t let that stand, so I found her a devil name with an a in it, and although she was already nine when I renamed her, she does know that “Samael” refers to her. Also, neither of us minds that it’s the name of a male devil whereas she’s a queen :p.

Anyway, my poor Sam is now around 12 years old and has dental trouble. I had to take her to the vet yesterday, and afterwards, she came to snuggle with me and I really couldn’t move her off my lap to scan and post this picture. Hence: a bit late.
